This Indian Bridal Makeup Look Is Perfect For Any Wedding

While most American women walk down the aisle on their wedding day in a white dress with a romantic, rose-hued makeup look, Indian American ladies tend to look more vibrant. The latter get dolled up in traditional outfits - belly-baring tops, flaming red beaded skirts, bold-colored diamond jewelry, and stunning headpieces known as tikkas. To complement such an eye-catching outfit, Indian women also typically wear more statement-making makeup looks - think seriously smoky eyes and a punchy lip.

We were schooled on the topic by a true expert in the community, Karuna "KC" Chani, who is the It makeup artist for Indian women. Here, she dreamed up a breathtaking bridal beauty look that combines traditional Indian concepts with modern American beauty trends. She mixed the conventional - like jet-black matte eyeliner - with updated ideas, such as swapping standard red lipstick for coral.

If you, too, want to wear a fusion of trends, then you need to do your homework. "Definitely look at the latest American magazines and also the traditional Indian magazines," Chani advised. "First and foremost, find an outfit that complements your skin tone. From there, the makeup has to enhance the outfit, not compete with it. You also don't want to match the outfit - which is really old fashioned and dated. You want to remain ethereal."

Keep reading to discover more makeup tips from Chani and see how she made over our model to look like a stunning bride.

These 4 Disney World Restaurants Are Adding Alcohol to Their Menus

Disney-loving adults, rejoice! Four restaurants at Disney World's Magic Kingdom will begin offering alcohol on Dec. 23, the Orlando Sentinel reports. The lucky restaurants include Tony's Town Square Restaurant, Liberty Tree Tavern, Skipper Canteen, and Cinderella's Royal Table, all of which will start serving beer and wine, just in time for Christmas. This long-awaited announcement comes after the theme park broke its dry spell in 2012 with the introduction of alcohol at its Beauty and the Beast-themed restaurant, Be Our Guest. Since then, the only other addition has been the Coca-Cola-inspired alcoholic beverages that became available at a store in Disney Springs in July 2016.

The drinks offered will go along with each restaurant's theme and food options: Tony's Town Square, an Italian eatery, will offer Italian beers and wines, such as Chianti Superiore, whereas Cinderella's Royal Table, a destination for truly special occasions, will have champagne and sparkling wine on its menu. This is just another reason to travel to Disney World for the holidays, as if we even needed an excuse in the first place. Now you can have a boozy beverage to wash down your favorite magical foods at the park. We'll cheers to that!

This Is Not a Drill: MAC Is Restocking the Selena Collection - Find Out When!

Keep your credit card handy because MAC Cosmetics is restocking its Selena Quintanilla collection sooner than you think! The makeup brand announced that 12 out of the 13 pieces in the collection - the Liquid Eye Liner in Boot Black won't be making a comeback - will be available in the US and Canada on its website at 12:01 am on Dec. 28, and in stores the day after. Just in time for your to put all your holiday gift cards to good use.

This time, you'll be able to get only two of each item. While that means you can't get a life supply of the Como La Flor lipstick solely shopping on maccosmetics.com, the line will also be available on department stores like Macy's, Nordstrom, and Saks Fifth Avenue and their websites, so you have options. Check out the full announcement from MAC for more details.

The 1 Thing You Should Never Put on a Sandwich, According to the Sandwich King Himself

Food Network chef and sandwich king Jeff Mauro spilled his sandwich dos and don'ts. Keep reading to learn his best advice.

POPSUGAR: What's the ultimate breakfast sandwich?
Jeff Mauro: Perfectly griddled sausage patty, everything bagel, veggie cream cheese, and pickled jalapeños, of course.

PS: What's the worst thing anyone could put on a sandwich?
JM: Mealy tomatoes.

PS: What's the best sandwich bread ever?
JM: The answer is NONE. Each sandwich has at least one appropriate bread to act as the vehicle.

PS: Does your son eat what you cook? How do you get him to eat vegetables?
JM: Kind of. He always eats the protein we make, and starch (usually sweet potatoes) and veggies. He's still not eating salads or asparagus, but we've always fed him well-seasoned and well-balanced food. I guess the trick is, and mind you, I only have one kid, to really not give [kids] a choice. They have to at least taste everything you make.

PS: What's your ultimate Father's Day meal?
JM: My ideal Father's Day meal is a big grilled beef tenderloin. Pair that with tons of mushrooms, something cheesy, and lots of Mark West wine.

PS: What's the most fun thing about being a chef who is a dad?
JM: Taking pride in the fact that my boy knows and respects good food and where it comes from and what it takes to make it. Now with my restaurant Pork & Mindy's in Chicago, he can come hang out with me on the weekends and see food from that end of the business. Plus, I'm proud that my boy can crack an egg like a champ.

Whether that means investing in a cute pair of socks or fancy tights, you can definitely stick to your favorite footwear option without freezing your toes off. Read on for six ways to style your flats because afterwards, the walk from the train to the office won't feel so terrible anymore.

How to Create a Wedding Hashtag No One Else Will Have

There are some brides who ask guests to unplug at their wedding, and some who ask guests to go all out with the photo snapping and sharing. If you're the second type of bride, you're probably already brainstorming your wedding hashtag - you know, the one phrase that guests will use on Instagram and Twitter to round up pictures of your big day. *Maybe better for a bachelor/bachelorette party than a wedding?

This Bride’s Gown Might Not Seem Over the Top, but the Story Behind It Will Move You

Once we hear the story behind a bride's wedding dress, we love it even more. When Lydia Forte married Dimitri Chandris at a romantic Tuscan ceremony, the bride didn't look to a big designer for her gown. Instead, she wore a custom creation by someone close to her: her mother, Aliai Forte. Lydia's cream-colored dress featured delicate floral embellishments on the bell sleeves and she revealed to Vogue that the entire look was actually created around her veil. The 16-foot veil was made of antique lace, which belonged to her great-great grandmother.

"For the ceremony, we needed something grand enough to hold its own in the cathedral, but not too fussy or over the top. It had to fit the countryside and Tuscan town setting as well," Lydia said.

The couple said their "I dos" inside a rustic church in the town of Massa Marittima before hosting a reception for 400 guests in the medieval cloisters. Though the wedding was grand, it was the small personal touches that made the day romantic and familial. Scroll to see Lydia's Tuscan fairy-tale nuptials, then zoom in closer on her dress and veil. They're one of a kind, after all.

This Is Officially the Most Hilarious Example of How Elf on the Shelf Can Go Horribly, Horribly Wrong

Parents trying to up their Elf on the Shelf game should take note: sometimes, you're better off just plopping the damn thing on your mantel and being done with it. But if you are determined to Pinterest-ify your kid's experience with their little elf, please, just heed this mom's cautionary tale first.

Poor Lynn Heinrich set out to pull a clever Elf on the Shelf prank on her son:

"I was feeling creative and I got shaving cream and sprayed it all over the bathroom mirror and filled one of the two sinks with shaving cream and left a little note that said, 'Miles did it,' and Angel the elf was holding the pencil and had his arm around the shaving cream," Heinrich wrote in an expletive-laden Facebook post on the Love What Matters page.

What happened next, she never could have prepared for:

Miles woke up before me and went to the bathroom and apparently got scared sh*tless that he was going to be in so much trouble that he needed to cover his tracks. So my son, apple of my eye, the monster I was on bed rest for five months for, that I went through 21 hours of labor for and took three hours to push his huge-ass head out, well, he decides to frame the elf. So he gets a magic marker, black to be exact, and draws squiggly lines all over my bathroom walls . . . Then writes a note with the said marker saying, "You are ugly Lynn," and then the mastermind puts the marker on the elf.

I have to give him credit there, he is smarter than some of the dumb asses on Snapped or I Almost Got Away With It. Kind of scary if I think about that. Anyway so now because of this Mother F%^$%$& elf I have to paint my bathroom again. I mean how can I yell at him without telling him I know he did it because I did the shaving cream?

So, yeah, on the one hand, she should be impressed with her kid's ability to troubleshoot on the spot, but maybe she - and Angel the elf, for that matter - should also, um, sleep with one eye open?

Anna Faris Upgraded Her Wedding Ring, and Boy Will You Want a Closer Look

Receiving a diamond wedding ring is special enough, but to have it happen twice? Well, a girl can dream. But Anna Faris doesn't have to. The star recently got a brand new ring from husband Chris Pratt, revealing that he had surprised her with it only a few days ago. We didn't have to wait long for a glance at the sparkler though. During the premiere of Passengers in LA, Anna showed up in a shimmery Reem Acra number with her husband, but it was the ring that held everyone's gaze.

Upon a closer look, the giant wedding ring features a thin gold band and right in the center is a beautiful diamond surrounded by smaller, glistening stones. The stunning piece was the only accessory Anna needed on her fingers. And judging from the photos, the ring might be the reason why Anna's smile is so bright. Scroll to see the couple's appearance at the premiere and then "ooh" and "ahh" over the star's ring yourself, before shopping similar options.

Lush's Holiday Bath Bombs Are Back and More Festive Than Ever

Clarins's Genius Retractable Beauty Pen Is the Perfect Tool For Makeup Multitaskers

In the past few months, school supplies have gotten a glamorous makeover. Tape has become a popular contouring tool. Correction tape applicators have been transformed into false lash dispensers. And now, Clarins has resurrected our beloved multi-color retractable pen and turned it into a brilliant beauty device.

Instead of featuring cartridges of different inks, the upcoming Clarins 4-Colour All-in-One Pen Eyes & Lips ($30, available Jan. 4 from clarinsusa.com) features four styluses meant to be used on eyes and lips. There is one neutral lip liner, and three shades of eyeliner: black, navy, and brown. (An insert in the product's packaging also suggests using the brown eye pencil to fill in brows and draw on freckles.)

It's supersimple to use: just click down your desired shade, then twist the pen to wind up the pigment. Do note that each shade has a very flat tip, so while it's not the ideal tool for an intensely precise line, it's worth overlooking that fact to have such a versatile product in your makeup bag.

Cleaning out one's beauty collection is a New Year's resolution for many of us. While it seems counterintuitive to immediately shop for new swag in the first week of January, doing so (and buying this product) will help you stick to your goals. After all, you can replace four different items items in your stash with this baby! And, as per the KonMari method, that should bring you a lot of joy.

It's Not Kate Middleton's Dress That Says Christmas, but the Belt That Goes With It

Zoom in on Kate Middleton's red and green print dress, and you'll find a floral pattern. Sure, the Vanessa Seward number features a festive color scheme, but Kate jazzed up the design to make it holiday appropriate. The duchess joined Prince William and Prince Harry at The Mix in London, where they appeared at the youth charity's Christmas party and promoted their Heads Together campaign.

While plenty are buzzing about Kate's lightweight midi - it's still available to shop and a brand new label for her - we zoomed in on her Alexander McQueen leather belt. In our opinion, it's reminiscent of the one Santa Claus wears, and for that we give Kate's subtle style move an A+.

The rest of the duchess's accessories were equally appropriate, including Catherine Zoraida hoop earrings, a Mulberry suede clutch, and Gianvito Rossi pumps. Read on to check out her look from every angle, then shop Kate's dress along with similar options, since we expect this one to sell out soon.

You've Had Your Puffer Jacket Forever - Here's How to Wear It Right Now

Like pretty much anyone living in a cold climate, I've been wearing puffy coats for about two decades, so I was a little confused to see my go-to outerwear being pushed as a trend this Winter.

How could something so utilitarian and familiar, a piece that's become a no-nonsense staple for so many ladies, cross over into gotta-have-it territory? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying no - when fashion and function collide, I'm thrilled. Sneakers and oxfords? Sign me up. Athleisure? All day, erryday! So . . . puffy coats? OK, yeah, why not?

The trick to nailing this particular trend is to put a fresh spin on it. So leave that basic black puffy in your closet this season, and keep reading for a few foolproof tips on how to perk up your puffy.

The easiest way to add oomph is with unexpected color. From bottle green to Bordeaux, look for a fun, saturated hue. Lots of brands are having major sales at the moment, so now is a great time to hunt for deals.

Things I Am Scared of Now That I'm a Parent

I used to consider myself a brave person. I wasn't jumping out of planes or scaling Mount Everest, but I loved visiting new locales and trying new things. And then I had kids. And in that instant, everything changed.

Now, I find myself scared of EVERYTHING! Every story on the news, every weird post shared by my friends on Facebook, every bugbite, every fall, I'm a nervous wreck. Here are just a few things that top my fear list these days:

  • That my kids miss me during the day.
  • That they don't miss me.
  • That they're not eating enough.
  • That I'll get sick.
  • That they'll get sick.
  • That they'll see the news.
  • The big C. Every story I read of a mom battling cancer has me doing a breast exam and having a spot checked.
  • School shootings.
  • Friends who are bad influences.
  • Wayward baseballs that can land in that one spot on their chest that causes instant death.
  • That the decisions we are making for our kids aren't right.
  • That we're too strict with our kids.
  • That we're too lenient.
  • That the video games they're playing are rotting their brains.
  • That they're not happy.

The list could go on forever. I'm sure it is all just part of parenthood - this whole "wondering if I'm doing it right" mentality. Before we had kids, if we screwed something up, it was really just our lives that were affected. Sure, we had to suffer the consequences, but we got what we deserved. When you have children, your decisions directly affect their lives. And that's a scary thought. Every decision we make inversely affects them.

There are mountains of books out there telling us how to raise our kids right, but what about the things we can't protect them from? The school shooters and the so-called friends who spend more time bringing them down than raising them up? No one ever said this parenthood thing would be easy, but I didn't expect the hardest part to be all this worrying.

When my first son was a mere few hours old, I remember looking up at my dad and saying I was worried that the baby wasn't breathing correctly. My dad grinned and said, "Welcome to being a parent and all the worrying that comes with it." I smiled and said, "For the next 18 years, right?" He chuckled and said, "No, Bec, for the rest of your life." I'm only nine years into it, but I can honestly say wiser words have never been spoken.

The Most Common Pet Danger During the Holidays Probably Won't Surprise You

It's no secret that there are a lot of hidden dangers at Christmas when it comes to our pets. Christmas trees are poisonous, poinsettias are poisonous, a lot of our yummy human food is poisonous. But we wondered what is the most common danger pets encounter when it comes to the holidays? We asked the experts at Healthy Paws Pet Insurance if they might have an answer, and according to 2015 data, they do.

From November 2015 to January 2016, Healthy Paws processed 5,100 stomach-related claims, which was more than any other claim type. Stomach-related claims can include anything from foreign-body removal (like eating Christmas ribbon) to treating poison from something like a poinsettia.

It's important during the holidays - and all the time - to make sure that anything that isn't safe for your pet is out of their reach. Keep pine needles swept up, keep ribbons away from the floors, and keep poisonous plants on higher shelves. This way, you can avoid being one of the unlucky pet owners to have to bring their animal to the vet for a holiday-related mishap!

Boyfriend of the Year Makes Tiny Kitten Pancakes, Entire Internet Swoons

This guy just put all other cat dads out there to shame with his brunch game. Chase Stout and his girlfriend, Kenzie Jones, recently adopted an adorable kitten named Mr. Wilson as a buddy for their pup, Huey.

Soon after Mr. Wilson joined the family, Kenzie had to head out of town, leaving all of the four-legged family members in her boyfriend's care. Little did she know she had nothing to worry about – other than missing out on a viral family breakfast.

Stout was making pancakes for himself when he realized he couldn't deprive Mr. Wilson of a hot breakfast. He made them both a stack of flapjacks, telling BuzzFeed, "Obviously I had a stack of three so my man Wilson had to have a stack of three as well." The adorable pictures he tweeted from the family feast have since gone viral, with over 41,000 retweets so far.

Not to worry, Chase is such a responsible kitty dad that he already knew not to include chocolate chips. Cheers to many more family breakfasts to come for this happy family.

8 Things You Never Knew About Starbucks, Straight From a Former Employee

I spoke to a former Starbucks employee who worked there for about three years, and she gave me all the insider details I wanted to know. What's it really like to work there? Do baristas really rip off customers by intentionally underfilling lattes? What's the deal with the secret menu? Behold, her tell-all responses:

You can ask for light ice in your iced drinks to get way more for your money.

"If you order an iced drink, ask for light ice and you will get way more of whatever was in your cup."

And to save money on hot drinks, order it in a bigger cup.

That's right. You can order a grande latte "in a venti cup," and you'll basically be getting the larger drink for the smaller price. "Most baristas will be lazy and just make a lot of steamed milk and fill the bigger cup up all the way to the top."

The one thing that drives baristas INSANE is . . .

Saying, "Actually, can I get that cold?" after you've already ordered a hot drink. It's an inconvenience and someone has probably already started making your drink the way it was ordered.

Baristas are NOT asked to "underfill" lattes.

Although Starbucks faced a lawsuit for underfilling its lattes, this barista assures us that is not a company-endorsed policy for saving money. If your drink is less than impressive, the problem might be . . . you. She elaborated, "No one has ever said anything about that. I always filled my cups to the brim like we were told. But the truth is, most of the time if your drink sucks, you were probably rude to the barista and they didn't like you. So be kind!"

Employees receive great benefits.

"If you're full-time, you get dental and health insurance options. The one amazing thing I got from working there was my stock in Starbucks: over three years, I made about $400 when I finally sold my share."

If you love coffee, it's the best job.

You don't even have to be a morning person to enjoy working at Starbucks. "Making coffee is soothing, especially at 4 a.m. when all you want to do is stick your nose in the grounds and wake up." You also get to drink unlimited drinks - for free! This woman loved her Starbucks job and highly recommends working there: "I loved it very much. We were more of a family there," she said.

You CAN order from the secret menu, but it's discouraged.

You're probably aware that a not-so-secret Starbucks secret menu exists, but it's not something the company endorses. "Most of the time our managers didn't want us to make them because technically they're not on the menu. I didn't care about making them really, except when people got mad because it 'didn't taste the same as the other Starbucks.' Well, that would be because it's made-up, and there's no real way to make those drinks." So order your secret menu Frappuccinos with caution.

Starbucks really does donate all unsold food.

Ever wonder what happens to all those unsold pastries at the end of the day? Starbucks recently announced its plans to donate 100 percent of all leftover food to feed the hungry, and this former employee confirmed that her location has practiced this all along. "I know a lot of people think that's fake, but I personally packed the food and have seen it get picked up by different organizations. If you're in need of food, try asking your local Starbucks when they close."

9 Fashion Phrases to Ban From Your Vocabulary Before the New Year

You likely took the SATs, are well-read, and know full definitions for plenty of "big" words. Yet you find yourself relying on the same old sayings - chic, statement-making, stylish, etc. - when describing an item or outfit. Admittedly, the fashion world has addicting little go-tos, and while editors are guilty as well, we're on a mission to leave 'em all in 2016. Read on for the full list of words and phrases to (at least try to) ban, then brush up on style terms to know before the New Year.

Keira Knightley Rarely Wears a Dress Without This 1 Little Detail

Award season brings many red carpets and plenty of standout looks we can't stop buzzing about. One thing we can always be sure of is that Keira Knightley will show up in a feminine, voluminous dress. The actress consistently taps her favorite fashion houses for unmissable pieces. She chooses Valentino when she's in the mood for embroidery and British label Erdem for romantic florals. In fact, Canadian designer Erdem Moralıoğlu recently spoke to Porter Magazine about working with the star:

"Keira Knightley loves that I put pockets on dresses for her. When you realize how someone feels about walking the red carpet and being photographed from all angles, it's nice to arm them with something that makes them feel relaxed. When I'm wearing a suit, I will put my hands in my pockets and immediately feel relaxed, and I want to make women feel comfortable, too. I love the idea that the silhouette changes when your hands are in your pockets. Your shoulders relax and you become a bit cooler."

After some investigative research, we can confirm that Keira definitely does look cooler when she's making use of her pockets. While she most frequently wears Erdem, she's worn one Alexis Mabille number equipped with pockets, too. Read on for a glimpse at Keira's most effortless gowns, and see how she shines, even though she might be hiding away her bracelets and rings, if only for a moment.

This Surprise Pregnancy Reveal Had 1 Unexpected Twist That Will Leave You in Tears

Conor and Lauren knew that they wanted to have a photo shoot in honor of their anniversary but kept pushing it back. They were trying to start a family and hoped to include the exciting addition in their session, but after holding off, they finally set a date with their photographer to move forward with photos of just the two of them.

As chance would have it, two days before their scheduled appointment, Lauren called Sara of Sara Marie Photography after learning that she was pregnant. The two decided she would share the exciting news with Conor during the session so that Sara could capture his reaction and came up with a memorable plan. "When we arrived at the shoot, I had them stand back to back and write what they were most excited about when it came to being married," Sara told POPSUGAR.

While Lauren used this as an opportunity to write that he was going to become a dad, Conor showed just how much that was exactly what he wanted with his sweet note. Without knowing the significance of his words, Conor wrote, "It's the start of us building a family," and revealed his optimism at the exact same time that his wife shared that his dreams were coming true. "Conor was so shocked and happy when he turned around! He wasn't the only one who was teary eyed in that park."

This Is How All Your Favorite Chefs Make Scrambled Eggs

One of the most basic recipes everyone learns is scrambled eggs, but the truth is perfectly scrambled eggs are a lot trickier than they seem. Much like the classic omelet, scrambling eggs is one cooking method on which many chefs differ. To whisk in a bowl or in the pan? To add dairy or to not? Minor tweaks can make huge differences in something so basic, and we guarantee you'll want to change up your scrambled egg routine with tips from these experts - they know a thing or two about recipe developing. Here's how some of our favorite chefs scramble their eggs (we're not kidding when we say Gordon Ramsay's method is a game changer).

Alton Brown: Whisk With Whole Milk

Simple yet effective is the name of the game in Alton Brown's scrambled egg recipe. Adding whole milk isn't his only tip, though. "Odds are you're going to be serving these on a plate. If so, I strongly suggest you park an ovensafe one in a low oven or in hot water while you're cooking. Cold plates suck the heat right out of food," his recipe description reads.

Giada De Laurentiis: Frittata Cupcakes

Giada's preferred method of scrambling eggs involves a mini muffin tin - she likes to make frittata cupcakes. She told POPSUGAR in an interview, "I love making my little cupcakes - frittata cupcakes. I just stick whatever's left in the fridge. Whatever it is that was from the night before, whether it's leftover pasta, leftover meat, leftover vegetables . . . Another favorite is lox, scrambled eggs, and peas - for a little color. For a Sunday morning, it's one of my favorite go-to breakfasts."

Gordon Ramsay: Low and Slow (With a Secret Ingredient)

Gordon Ramsay's scrambled eggs recipe is one everyone must try at least once. The finished product looks more like custard, and thanks to his cooking method and a secret ingredient, they're melt-in-your-mouth good.

Chrissy Teigen: "Cheesy" Eggs, Hold the Cheese

Chrissy Teigen swears by her method of creating "cheesy" eggs without the cheese, thanks to her secret ingredient: heavy cream. Her tip for getting them as creamy as possible with no browned spots? "Don't stop gently stirring and scraping (edges and all) for more than a few seconds!"

The Pioneer Woman: Smoked Salmon and Chives

Like most Pioneer Woman recipes, this one sounds delightful. Calling them the "best scrambled eggs ever", Ree Drummond suggests sprinkling in chopped smoked salmon after the eggs are cooked and then garnishing with chopped fresh chives.

Mario Batali: Topped With Shaved Truffle

Leave it to Mario Batali to bring some serious culinary chops to such a basic recipe. To make scrambled eggs special, Mario suggests adding mascarpone or parmesan cheese, but to make them "spectacular," garnish with shaved truffle.
