10 TV Kisses That Have Made Us Blush in 2017

We're still blushing thinking about all of 2016's sexy TV kisses, but it's time to move on! The new year has already provided several photo ops for sweet and steamy smooch sessions. Jack and Rebecca aren't the only ones heating up This Is Us, everyone on Scandal is kissing each other, and need we remind you of Chris Pratt's appearance on Mom? With Valentine's Day coming up, it's time to review!

5 Major Things You Can Expect to See in Fifty Shades Freed

We've been waiting for Fifty Shades Darker so long that we're practically over it already. Of course, after Darker comes Fifty Shades Freed, the third and final installment. While the second movie takes things to the next level with Christian and Ana, Frees really brings their love story home. While Fifty Shades Darker will focus on things that are, well, very dark, Freed is all about tackling difficult situations (and people) and coming out stronger on the other side. We've already been treated to a handful of delicious set photos and know some solid details about production, but here are five major plot points you can expect to see unfold on the big screen when the final movie hits theaters in February 2018.

1. Ana becomes pregnant. While at the hospital to care for her stepdad, Ray, Ana finds out she's pregnant. The news isn't welcomed by Christian, however, as he accuses her of falling pregnant on purpose and worries that she will choose their baby over him in the future.

2. Ana's stalker kicks things up a notch. After Ana and Christian return from their European honeymoon, Christian goes out of town on business, leaving Ana to meet up with her friend, Kate Kavanagh, for a few drinks. But when Ana returns home, she finds that her former boss, Jack Hyde - who turns extremely dangerous in Fifty Shades Darker - has broken in in an attempt to kidnap her. Later, he successfully kidnaps Mia Grey and demands $5 million in ransom money from Ana, who ends up in the hospital after shooting Jack in the leg during a struggle.

3. "Mrs. Robinson" is still causing trouble. In addition to Christian still meeting up with Elena Lincoln, their past affair causes major trouble when her scolded ex bails Jack out of jail out of spite.

4. Christian discovers a dark secret from his past. After Ana recovers from the attack, Christian, who is adopted, finds out that he and Jack were in the same foster home together as children.

5. Things finally take a happy turn. The book jumps forward a few years at the end, showing a happy Ana and Christian getting ready to celebrate the second birthday of their son, Theodore (nicknamed Teddy). Ana is also pregnant with their daughter, whom they plan to name Phoebe.

What's Actually Happening With Ascendant, the Final Divergent Movie

Allegiant all but flopped at the box office last year, but it still came a shock when Lionsgate announced its new plans for the final film. Ascendant is now supposed to be a TV movie, and the original cast is not feeling it. As the main actors are releasing comments about their futures with the franchise, we're left with less and less hope about the film. There's a lot of information out there right now, so here's what we do know for sure.

Fifty Shades Darker: The Tracklist, and All the Songs We Have So Far

Fifty Shades Darker, the second installment in the sexy trilogy based on the wildly popular books, has invaded. While we've gotten plenty of details about the film, the soundtrack is really where it's at. In addition to the hot "Crazy in Love" cover from the trailers and Taylor Swift and Zayn's new joint track, we finally have a full tracklist courtesy of the film's official Twitter. Check out the full list plus a fresh handful of songs ahead; the soundtrack will be released on Feb. 10, the same day the movie hits theaters.

Why Supernatural Fans Need to Watch Timeless, From Misha Collins Himself

Season one of Timeless has almost come to a close, and it seems like they've saved the best for last. As the gang travels to 1931 Chicago, they enlist the help of famed lawman Eliot Ness, played by none other than Misha Collins. Not only does the actor have a rabid fan base from playing Castiel on Supernatural, but his cameo also marks a mini reunion with the show's creator, Eric Kripke. POPSUGAR recently had the chance to sit down with Collins and he told us everything about branching out into new roles, how his two characters have a hilarious connection, and why Timeless deserves to be renewed for a second season.

POPSUGAR: First, what was it like teaming up with Eric Kripke again?
Misha Collins: The way Timeless shoots, Eric is down in LA and the rest of the team is in Vancouver, [British Columbia, Canada,] so while it is his show, I didn't actually get to hang out with him as much as I would have liked to. But it was just really great to be able to do something with him again. He is somebody whom I like a great deal and respect - he's very smart - and I kind of also owe him my career.

PS: What was your favorite part about playing Eliot Ness?
MC: For me, the most thrilling aspect was getting to do something that wasn't Castiel. I've been playing the same character on Supernatural for the past nine years and while that character has gone through a lot of different iterations, it's nice to step out and just do something altogether different. I'm not trying to say that I'm sick of Supernatural in any way, nor am I sick of my character, because he changes all the time; it's just nice to do something different. When you become an actor, you never, ever imagine you're going to be working on one role for a decade, and while it is such a blessing to get the opportunity to do that, it's also nice to do something different.

"It actually felt like the Supernatural set to me, like everyone was just sort of screwing around and joking and having a good time."

PS: Did you have any memorable moments on set? Everyone I talk to always raves about how great the cast is.
MC: Yeah, I have to say the cast was very warm and welcoming and fun. It actually felt like the Supernatural set to me, like everyone was just sort of screwing around and joking and having a good time. I don't know why this is, but that's just such a rare thing to find on set. Also, because Supernatural shoots in Vancouver, there were a lot of familiar faces on the set of Timeless. Their studio is actually about a mile away from our studio, so it was right in the neighborhood. The art director from Supernatural actually moved onto Timeless to be the production designer and our former team makeup artist is now the makeup artist on Timeless, so it also felt like a mini reunion.

PS: Out of all the characters on Timeless, do you have a favorite?
MC: No, I don't think so. I really like Goran [Visnjic]'s character. He's creating a great bad guy there. And he's a lovely human being, so it's a good contrast between his real personality and his sinister character. But the trio of heroes, I like them all. I think there might have been a little bit of a kindred spirit thing going on with Wyatt, because Eliot Ness and Wyatt have similar life paths, in some respect.

PS: Who do you think Castiel would most likely get along with?
MC: I think Castiel would most strongly identify with Eliot Ness because of the shared wardrobe. It was funny for me, because I was like finally stepping out - I haven't played a role other than Supernatural for years - and I was like, "All right, I'm going to do something that's totally different," and then I got into my trailer and they gave me a suit and a tie and a trench coat and I was like, "You got to f*cking be kidding me."

PS: The show has done a great job including little pop culture references throughout the season. Will there be any hidden references to Supernatural during your episode?
MC: Not to Supernatural, I don't think. There might be an Easter egg in there that I'm missing, I'll have to look again, but there are pop culture references, for sure. There are a lot of references that you would only understand if you've seen the movie The Untouchables.

"I honestly think that the only problem is that people haven't found it yet. It's a great show, and I'm very happy to be a part of it."

PS: Recently, Eric posted a long letter to fans about how Timeless has been deemed a "bubble show," meaning that a season two renewal isn't guaranteed. While the cast has been working hard to get more people to watch, in your own words, what do you think people should tune? What do you think sets Timeless apart from other shows on TV?
MC: It just amazing to me that Timeless is a bubble show, that it's just not solidly in the renew column. I think that would only happen today when we're in this golden era of television, where there's so much to watch, it's just hard to capture an audience in the first place. But this show is absolutely epic. I simply can't believe the production value for the episodes. Each episode is creating a new world. I just can't think of another television show that trumps the Hindenburg to the 1970s week to week. And then there's just a real synergy between the cast and the writing is smart. I hope that it continues to grow its audience and that people find the show. I honestly think that the only problem is that people haven't found it yet. It's a great show, and I'm very happy to be a part of it.

Watch out for Collins on the Feb. 13 episode, "Public Enemy No. 1."

6 Things That We'll See in Stranger Things Season 2

After months of wondering, we finally have our first shreds of evidence about the second season of Stranger Things. It all started at the beginning of February, when Netflix dropped an exciting teaser and premiere date during the Super Bowl. Oh, but that's not all. Shortly thereafter, Entertainment Weekly cracked the season wide open with exclusive new plot details. We've pulled the most interesting revelations below.

1. Will Byers Will Face Emotional Trauma After His Ordeal

As you might remember, Will Byers's creepy finale behavior suggests he may have lost a piece of himself in the Upside Down. Cocreator Matt Duffer explained, "He seems to be seeing images from the Upside Down. The question is whether they're real or not. So it seems like he's having some sort of post-traumatic stress disorder."

2. Joyce Byers Will Have a New Romantic Interest

As a way of coping with all the trauma she experiences in season one, Joyce tries to anchor herself with the help of a former high school classmate. "She's trying to mask a lot," Winona Ryder explained. "I think she's made this choice with Bob because she wants a good father figure in her sons' lives."

3. Both of the New Characters Play Pivotal Roles

The cast of the second season has two major newcomers: Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery, who play brother and sister Max and Billy. While Max will hang around with the rest of the gang, Billy is more of a threat. Matt Duffer explained how the master of horror influenced this choice: "Stephen King always has really great human villains. The evil in the real world is often as bad or worse than the supernatural evil, so we wanted to introduce a character like that."

4. Dustin Will Find a Strange New Pet

"It's a little creature I get to bond with," Gaten Matarazzo teased. "It's obviously not from this planet or this dimension."

5. Nancy and Mike Will Have a Lot of Grief to Process

"[Nancy] and Mike are both the most screwed-up because they're the ones who both lost someone," cocreator Ross Duffer explained. "They're both grappling with that, and we see the effects."

6. Hopper Will Mostly Focus on Covering Up What Happened

David Harbour dished a little on what the town's police chief will be up to: "It kind of falls on Hopper to be the voice of authority to say, 'This did happen and this didn't happen.' He's struggling with the compromise that takes him to, having to lie and cover things up."

Fifty Shades Darker Is Missing a Key Sex Scene

Just because it's the second film in the Fifty Shades trilogy doesn't mean Fifty Shades Darker is twice as sexy as its predecessor. In fact, while the cast maintains that there are more sex scenes in the new film, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson admitted to USA Today that the editors cut a key sex scene! Which one? "The whole pool table scene that we literally spent a week filming," said Johnson. Dornan joked that "it felt like a month," while Johnson admitted that she hopes they keep it in as a DVD extra. If you read the book, you know the scene, but in case you haven't, here's an NSFW excerpt.

"He gently slides my panties down my thighs and off. I can't see what he does with them, but he leaves me feeling exposed as he plants a soft kiss on each cheek. 'Take a shot, baby.' I want to whimper; this is so not going to happen. I know I am going to miss. I line up the white, hit it, and in my impatience, miss the black completely. . . . He leans right over me, flattening me against the table, takes the cue out of my hand, and rolls it to the side cushion. I feel him, hard, against my backside. 'You missed,' he says softly in my ear. . . . Put your hands flat on the table.' I do as he says."

RIP, pool table scene.

A New Theory Suggests Voldemort Isn't the Only Descendant of Slytherin - Dumbledore Is Too!

From the beginning of Harry Potter, it's clear that Professor Dumbledore is a brilliant man. He understands magic so well that anything he knows or does isn't a surprise. So when Dumbledore appears to understand Parseltongue in several of the books, we thought it was simply because he's smart. However, a new theory suggests that it's actually because he's a descendant of Salazar Slytherin.

The theory, written by Reddit user Obversa, is long and detailed but explains exactly how Dumbledore and Slytherin could be related. It begins with Isolt Sayre, the founder of Ilvermorny and the daughter of Rionach Gaunt - a descendant of Slytherin. Sayre marries James Steward and the two have twins: Rionach and Martha. Though Sayre couldn't speak Parseltongue, she still carried the gene for it and passed it on to her children. Martha, a squib, eventually marries a Muggle from the Pocomtuc tribe but still carries the Parseltongue and magical genes.

Fast forward a few generations, and Kendra, Dumbledore's mother comes into the picture. In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the following is revealed: "Despite the high-necked silk gown she wore, Harry thought of Native Americans as he studied her dark eyes, high cheekbones and straight nose." This is a small detail but alludes to the possibility that Kendra is a descendant of Martha, thus also making her related to Slytherin. So, when she had Dumbledore, she too passed down the Parseltongue gene, which lets Dumbledore understand the language.

According to Pottermore, you can't learn Parseltongue; a person merely inherits the gene to understand and speak it. Based on all these clues, it looks like Dumbledore is actually related to Slytherin. It would explain why he's never opposed to Slytherin students as some professors are at Hogwarts. Unconvinced? Read the full theory below.

The Hills Alum Whitney Port Is Pregnant With Her First Child

Whitney Port is pregnant! The Hills alum shared the news via Instagram on Thursday along with a photo of herself baring her growing belly while clad in a pair of lacy underwear. "Oh hey! Just standing by the window in my underwear, with a BABY in my belly!" Whitney wrote, adding, "DM me if you know what I'm supposed to do with this thing for how ever many years I'm supposed to be in charge." The 31-year-old covered her bump the previous night when she stepped out for Tommy Hilfiger's Spring '17 fashion show in LA.

It's the first child for Whitney and her husband, Tim Rosenman, who tied the knot in a stunning desert ceremony in November 2015. Whitney joins her fellow former MTV star Lauren Conrad, who is also expecting her first child with husband William Tell.

20 Actors Who Didn't Marry Actors

When it comes to the laws of dating in Hollywood, musicians are typically drawn to models, while actors tend to gravitate toward other actors. They meet on set while filming a movie - we're looking at you, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie - or cross paths during an industry event and end up living happily ever after. For some stars, though, it's more appealing to settle down with someone who's not in the spotlight, like an agent, an artist, or, in the case of Matt Damon, a Miami Beach bartender. George Clooney made headlines when he married civil rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, whose impressive accomplishments more than match up to his acting career, and ballet professional Benjamin Millepied danced his way into Natalie Portman's heart when they tied the knot in 2012. Laura Mercier's Iconic Setting Powder Now Comes in a Shade For Brown Girls

Whether you contour faithfully or take a minimalist approach to your daily makeup routine, there's no denying the importance of having a great setting powder. Lightly dusting your face with a semiopaque pigment helps keep your makeup in place all day. It also absorbs oils and cancels shine to keep your skin matte for hours.

One of my all-time favorite setting powders - and possibly the best one of its kind - is Laura Mercier's Translucent Setting Powder ($38). It launched back in the '90s and has been one of the brand's bestsellers. In fact, it's so good, it has over 290,000 loves and 4,000 reviews on Sephora.com. It's also earned a four-star rating . . . but in my opinion is more deserving of five stars. One light swipe immediately hides excess shine around my T-zone and makes my skin appear filtered IRL. The powder also promises an oil-free face for hours and actually delivers. However, there's a good chance that the brand didn't achieve that perfect rating because the sheer pigment may not have worked for women with dark skin.

Now, the brand has made its hero powder all the more covetable by extending the range to include a medium-deep shade for women with darker complexions. Though the traditional powder looks completely transparent on a spectrum of skin tones, it may appear ashy or cause an embarrassing flashback in photos on deeper skin. The brand created the new shade to ensure that women with warm complexions can achieve a completely translucent and flawless finish. Like the original natural hue, you can use this to lightly absorb oil, set your makeup, and bake your face.

Finding flattering makeup products is a common struggle for women of color, so we're excited that Laura Mercier is continuing to diversify its product range. Now, so many more makeup junkies can experience the magic of the Translucent Setting Powder and feel confident about achieving a flawless complexion. Snag the new shade at Sephora.com now!

No Valentine's Day Plans Yet? Here Are a Few Easy Ideas For the Single and Taken

Singer, actress, fashion designer, entrepreneur, writer, and mom of two Thalia shares her parenting, lifestyle, fashion, and beauty tips as POPSUGAR Latina's contributor.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner. If you haven't had time to think about what to do to celebrate with the one you love, do not fret! Here are some ideas I thought might inspire you - even if you're single.

If You're Single . . .

The most important thing is to love yourself! Look in the mirror and say: "I love you. Thanks for everything, and for always being there for me. You are my best friend. Have an amazing day of friendship and love." Remember that even if you do have a partner, love begins within you, and it is never too late to start being kind to yourself. So, spend this Valentine's Day celebrating the beautiful heart that you have inside.

If you're enjoying the single life, Valentine's Day is still a fun day for you. Call your friends, have them all come over so you can get ready together, do your makeup and fix your hair as a group, and go out to a restaurant and later to a bar where you can dance, have fun, and celebrate one of the best gifts life can give us: friendship. Remember, not everybody is fortunate enough to have really close friends who will always watch your back. Make sure your friends know how much you appreciate them and love them, especially on Valentine's Day.

If You're in a Relationship . . .

In an age where online apps provide lots of short-term relationships and not much commitment, those who find a great partner and a long-lasting, committed, and positive relationship are truly lucky! That is a good reason to celebrate and go all out on Feb. 14.

If you are one of the lucky ones, focus on what's important and be available, in the moment, and dedicate 100 percent of your attention to talking, holding hands, and being present for your partner. Spending quality time together is key! Plan a romantic dinner at home or in a restaurant that you don't visit often, or come up with a fun, unexpected activity that will make you laugh and draw you closer together.

If You Have Kids . . .

Let's not forget our little ones, who have also stolen our hearts! I am looking forward to celebrating the day of love and friendship with my husband, who is my ideal partner and the love of my life, and with my two children, who I adore and make my life as colorful as a rainbow! We are planning on going out to a restaurant, and afterward, we'll stop by the ice cream shop and sit down to talk about the week and our favorite things. That will be a perfect Valentine's Day for me, and could be for you, too.

If You Want to Celebrate With Friends . . .

If you enjoy being a hostess and opening your home to all of your friends, there are some things you can do to impress them on the day of love and friendship. First, make sure to greet them with a delicious Valentine-inspired cocktail - you can use strawberries or beets - and make little appetizers in heart shapes to match the occasion. You can also buy a bunch of inexpensive lipsticks and sticky notes in different colors, set up a board and markers at the entrance of your home, and ask your friends to paint their lips and leave kisses on the notes along with love or inspirational phrases. Plus, your friends will love the new lipsticks they get to take home!

Remember, the greatest love is the one that we share, the one that we demonstrate in person with hugs and smiles, not via text messages. Do not wait for Valentine's Day to live intensely and share your feelings with those you love. Have a happy day of love and friendship today and every day!

Warning: You May Be Inclined to Make Out With This Pastry

A gourmet French bakery recently revealed an array of lip-shaped pastries that are so lifelike and adorable you'll just want to kiss them! OK, so maybe that's taking it a little too far. Nonetheless, we've fallen for Fauchon's so-called Bisou-Bisou pastries, which come in various flavors and colors.

According to Fauchon's website, the classic pink pastry is made of caramelized almonds, raspberry compote, vanilla whipped ganache, a vanilla biscuit, and more. We're honestly stunned by the amount of ingredients in the pastry given how minimalist it looks.

Just before Valentine's Day, the bakery introduced a black-and-white variation. According to one lucky customer, the black lips are made with chocolate coffee mousse, coffee cream, and a dark chocolate biscuit. Meanwhile, the white lips are made with raspberry compote, cream cheese mousse, rose water, and lemon cake.

The Bisou-Bisou pastry is available for 8 euros ($9) at Fauchon's storefront at 30 Place de la Madeleine in Paris. Sadly, Fauchon will only deliver its treats to residences in the Paris area. Until then, bask in their glory by checking out the pictures ahead.

10 Foods Worth Standing in Line For at Harry Potter World in Orlando

While at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, FL, I tried everything I could get my Muggle hands on to determine the best of the best. J.K. Rowling approved of all the food served at the park (granted, it was specially prepared for her in Scotland), but what's it really look and taste like in person? Here are our top picks.

12 Intoxicating Unisex Fragrances That Make a Strong Case For Sharing

While I love Chloé just as much as the next girl, there's also something to be said about those intoxicatingly musky scents that just ooze passion - the type of fragrances that are not only attractive to men, but can also be worn by them. This Valentine's Day, consider sharing a fragrance with your significant other. Unisex scents with stronger, spicier notes do seem to be having a moment due to their versatility. Plus, they have the added bonus of being more cost effective if you split it with your boo. To help you decide on a signature (shared) scent, we've rounded up our favorites.

If These Quotes Don't Get You Excited About OITNB Season 5, Nothing Will

This week, Netflix released an intense new trailer and a release date for season five of Orange Is the New Black. Suffice it to say, excitement ahead of the next chapter is at an all-time high, especially when you think of all the burning questions we had after the fourth season finale. Unfortunately for us, there's still plenty of mystery surrounding what's coming up next. We have some behind-the-scenes snaps, sure, but new details pertaining to the next season have reduced to a trickle. So puzzle out the plot, we've decided to collect all the bits of information we've gathered about season five.

  • Taylor Schilling explained how things will heat up: "I think the stakes are higher in this season than they have been in a while," Schilling told E! News at the SAG Awards, "just by virtue of the compressed time and seeing people in compressed circumstance really raises the stakes. It's exciting to watch, I think for all of us."
  • Danielle Brooks unveiled the season's very short time period: "Season five is done over the course of three days," Brooks revealed to E! on the SAG Awards red carpet. "It will be very detailed, very intense."
  • Laverne Cox described her first reading: "What I can tell you is that I was just as excited as all the fans were to see what happens next," Cox explained to E! News. "When I read it, it was incredible, when we shot it, it was . . . intense. It's really, really intense. It manages . . . as intense as it all is, it still manages to have an irreverence and a spin that is funny and thoughtful."
  • Uzo Aduba dished on Jenji Kohan's influence: "You can expect Jenji will . . . she will answer a lot of unresolved questions that season four left you with," Aduba reassured E! at the SAG Awards.
  • Lori Petty believed Lolly would be back: "They have a lot to deal with right now," Petty explained to The Hollywood Reporter. "I'm just waiting on the phone call to get back on the plane. I'm sure it will come, but we have 13 episodes and they've got a lot to take care of, so we'll see . . . Here's what I assume - and this is because it's all about me, right? - we go into psych and Mr. Healy was there and I'm screaming and crying."
  • The marketing even suggests a big shake-up: The caption for the official teaser on YouTube warned, "Things will never be the same." The Twitter account, on the other hand, said, "There's no turning back."

30 Movies Turning 30 This Year

The year is in full swing, and with a new year comes a new selection of films turning three decades old. In case you have forgotten, Dirty Dancing, Lethal Weapon, Spaceballs, and Fatal Attraction all came out in 1987 - and that's just the beginning! Take a look at all the films celebrating 30-year anniversaries, and get ready to feel old.

Fifty Shades Darker: The Christian Grey Nudity Breakdown

Fifty Shades Darker is one of those movies where, if you're planning on seeing it, you're not really asking whether it's good. (But for what it's worth: it is better than Fifty Shades of Grey.) One question it's natural to have about a film based on the notoriously sex-filled books from E L James is: how much nudity is in this movie?

It's a fair question and one we had back when we were waiting for Fifty Shades of Grey, and Jamie Dornan dashed dreams everywhere when he said we wouldn't be seeing his "todger." And, of course, there was lots of nudity in the first movie. So how does Fifty Shades Darker stack up?

Well, Jamie Dornan said he didn't know a few months ago and that we'd have to "wait and see." Unsurprisingly, we see no penis. This is rated R, not NC-17, after all, and in today's pop culture, it's a rare title that shows us male full-frontal nudity. But at least it's not that unfair - in Fifty Shades of Grey, Dakota Johnson did full frontal, including an infamous pubic hair shot, but this time, she's relatively under wraps. I mean, she shows her breasts a lot, because this is America.

As for Dornan? We get a tease of the top of his butt in an early scene, then later, in the Red Room, we see him naked from the back. Full rearal, if you will. It's distinct also because in most of the sex scenes, he rarely gets fully naked. I guess he likes doing it in pants, like a reverse Donald Duck. You do you, Christian Grey.

Olympian Ibtihaj Muhammad Speaks Out Against Hate and Violence Toward Women Who Sport Their Hijab

While many groups feel scared and nervous to be who they are, Olympian and fashion designer Ibtihaj Muhammad explains why it's important now, more than ever, to be yourself. Ibtihaj made history at the Rio Olympics by being the first Muslim-American woman to sport a hijab during the games. "I realize that the sentiments of fear are very real; it's so palpable in the Muslim community, especially the women who literally wear their religion on their sleeves every day," she said. "At the same time, it's not just the verbal threats that come; it's reaching catastrophic numbers where people are being physically harmed. That has to come to an end. I've gotten messages, so many messages from young girls who have have had their hijabs taken from their heads. We have to acknowledge this is happening and that it is not acceptable."

Ibtihaj also explained the misconceptions surrounding Muslim women who wear their hijab. "The issue with how people perceive hijab, to me, is very in line with the way we view women's bodies. How much they wear, how little shoulder they wear, the things we can say, the things we can't say. Why is it that we're always on the forefront?" she said. "I feel like being on the US team and having this position and this platform, it couldn't have come at a better time, especially in light of this presidential election, because it totally challenges that narrative. It shows people that, no, actually, everything you thought about Muslim women, it's the complete the opposite. All Muslims aren't Arab," she said. She went on to explain that she is an African-American woman, hasn't lived anywhere else, doesn't speak any other languages and was, in fact, born and raised as a "Jersey girl."

The Olympic fencer explained how special it was for her to get to represent the United States at the 2016 Summer Olympics as well. "It's unique to the United States to have such a diverse team. In the past, that is something we have always celebrated as Americans, and I want us to continue to do that," she said.

11 Photos of Our Beloved Ex-Boyfriend Barack Obama Being Totally Fine Without Us

In January, Barack Obama walked out of our hearts and onto a private plane headed to Southern CA. After some quality time in the desert with Michelle, the former first couple took off for the Virgin Islands and never looked back. We first got a glimpse of Barack kicking back with Virgin CEO Richard Branson, clad in breathable fabrics and a backwards baseball cap, but it wasn't until Richard shared a video of the two kitesurfing on his own Necker Island that we realized it was really over. The video went viral for obvious reasons - just look at those legs! - but it also forced us to accept the fact that Barack has moved on; the board shorts, the flip flops, the tank top. . .the rest and relaxation hath taken him now.

Here are 11 photos of our one and only Barack having the time of his life in the bright blue sea, probably about to enjoy a plate of fish tacos or swim with dolphins, while we wade through the ocean of alternative facts we're now living in.

Bella Heathcote Teases Her Mysterious Character in Fifty Shades Darker

When it comes to the intensity of Fifty Shades Darker, the second movie in the Fifty Shades trilogy, the title tells you everything you need to know. The new film has everything the first one had, except it's sexier, more dangerous, more action-packed, and, well, darker. As the trailers for the film have rolled out over the course of the past handful of months, the heightened nature has come across in spades. And when it comes to the danger, nothing seems more threatening than the unraveling girl who seems to be haunting Christian and Anastasia. Her name is Leila, and she's actually an ex of Christian Grey. But what exactly can we expect when it comes to the mysterious figure from Christian's past? We talked to actress Bella Heathcote at the premiere of the film in Los Angeles, and she gave us all the insight we need.

Who, exactly, is this crazy young woman? "Someone you don't want to find on the end of the bed when you're waking up," Heathcote teased. "I'm basically a spurned ex who's grief-stricken and heartbroken and doesn't have the tools to cope. I'm following Anastasia around, trying to figure out what this girl has that she doesn't." To give a better sense of exactly how unhinged her character might be, Heathcote revealed it's all about the details. "There's definitely a prop that I wear throughout that indicates kind of my mental state and how unstable it is." Looks like we'll have to wait until the film's Feb. 10 release to find out what she means.

The 44th president was spotted with his family in the Virgin Islands earlier this month looking very casual - even rocking a baseball cap backwards!

A few days later, more footage emerged of Obama's fun-filled vacation when British billionaire Richard Branson shared a video of Obama trying his hand at kitesurfing. Fifty Shades Darker: Dakota Johnson's Subtle Tribute to Her Mom's Working Girl Role

Melanie Griffith may never have watched daughter Dakota Johnson in Fifty Shades of Grey, but there's one big reason she should check out the franchise's second film: Fifty Shades Darker pays tribute to Griffith's Oscar-nominated role in Working Girl. As Ana settles into a new job, she tells her coworker, "I don't expect you to fetch me coffee unless you're getting some for yourself." That's a direct line from the end of Working Girl, when Griffith's character finally gets her own assistant.

Even Johnson loves the nod, crediting screenwriter Niall Leonard for the idea. "That's my favorite part," Johnson told USA Today. "I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. Because when has that ever happened in the history of film? And that's also such an iconic line from Working Girl. So it's so special."

Please use this as an opportunity to watch Working Girl for the millionth time.

You May Be Buying “Fake” Extra Virgin Olive Oil - Here’s How to Stop

Image source: POPSUGAR Photography / Annie Gabillet

As consumers, we have to stay vigilant about the food products we buy. Take honey: did you know that most bottles, including those labeled as pure honey, are diluted with high-fructose corn syrup? Unfortunately, extra virgin olive oil is another common grocery item at risk of deceptive labeling.

The Problem

69 percent of imported extra virgin olive oil sold in California was falsely labeled.

The news has been filled with reports suggesting we can't blindly trust the extra virgin olive oil on our store shelves. Recently, Italy increased its penalties for olive oil counterfeiting after investigators leaked details of a massive olive oil fraud. Around 7,000 tons of extra virgin olive oil were labeled 100 percent Italian, though they included oil from other countries like Syria, Turkey, Morocco, and Tunisia. And you might have caught the 60 Minutes investigation of olive oil fraud in Italy, which looked into how the mafia helps perpetuate the food crime.

Extra virgin olive oil is made by simply crushing olives and retaining juice. In order to get that designation, the olive oil must be manually pressed and no chemicals can be used. The oil must also maintain its complex flavor profile. The unprocessed and unrefined olive oil is called "virgin" because it is the most pure form.

In 2010, Researchers at the University of California, Davis, published a devastating study that found that 69 percent of imported extra virgin olive oil sold in California was falsely labeled. Dan Flynn, the executive director of the UC Davis Olive Center, explains: "we found that often the quality of the olive oil did not meet extra virgin standards."

You may have heard of this study when it was featured in a widely-shared New York Times infographic about olive oil fraud in 2014. It's important to note that the New York Times piece inaccurately sensationalized the study's findings by suggesting that 69 percent of olive oil sold in the US was cut with cheaper oil or doctored with chemicals. The paper released an extensive correction. Imported olive oil brands also took issue with the fact that the study was funded in part by the California olive oil industry.

What the UC Davis researchers did find was that 69 percent of imported olive oil labeled "extra virgin" had been compromised. Issues included samples that were oxidized, adulterated with cheaper refined olive oil, or made from olives that were damaged, overripe, or improperly processed. Some samples had a combination of these problems. The Times piece originally implied that all 69 percent has been adulterated with cheaper oil, which was not the case, but the actual results should cause you concern. In their summary, the study's authors state that "sensory tests showed that these failed samples had defective flavors such as rancid, fusty, and musty."

While there are instances of outright and sophisticated olive oil fraud, a consumer is more likely to find a bottle with such poor quality that the oil inside does not live up to the extra virgin label. Maia Hirschbein, oleologist at California Olive Ranch, who points to the UC Davis study, as well as investigations from Consumer Reports and the National Consumers League. "If the oil is old, was made from bad olives, or was bottled in clear glass that exposed the oil to light, it can be of poor quality."

Why It Matters

Getting ripped off isn't the only thing at risk when you buy substandard olive oil - it could also have health effects. Many of us know that extra virgin olive oil is better (or at least more expensive), but not why. Because it is less processed than other olive oil, extra virgin olive oil retains more of the original flavor and healthy properties of olives. You'll recognize it by its fruity, bitter, or pungent flavors.

"The primary health benefit of extra virgin olive oil is the antioxidant property which we call polyphenol," explains Hirschbein. "Those reduce oxidation in your body and will help prevent things like cancers and heart disease."

If you're not buying the real thing, you're not getting these real health benefits.

Flynn agrees with that assessment: "The health benefits from quality extra virgin olive oil come from two things, antioxidants and high monounsaturated fat. Studies indicate that these elements are associated with benefits for reducing blood pressure, inflammation, diabetes, Alzheimer's Disease, some cancers, and obesity." If you're not buying the real thing, you're not getting these real health benefits.

Quality olive oil has so many health benefits that the FDA actually recommends eating 2 tablespoons to reduce the risk of heart disease. Looking at past research, it almost seems like a wonder drug. Olive oil can reduce the need for blood pressure medication. It can help lower your cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of Type II Diabetes. It can prevent osteoporosis by helping the body absorb calcium. It can ward off obesity thanks to its nutrient-dense, satiating nature. The antioxidants help counter oxidation from the sun and thus prevent the most dangerous type of skin cancer. It can counter free radicals in your body that eventually cause other types of cancer. According to one Spanish study it can also help reduce the risk of mental illnesses, like depression. And another in France found that it reduced the risk of strokes.

When you're eating an oil that is older or isn't actually extra virgin, Hirschbein says, you'll be using an oil that "doesn't have those extra benefits that extra virgin does." You wouldn't want to take expired or damaged medicine, so you shouldn't settle for substandard olive oil.

Who Can You Trust?

Since the UC Davis findings came out, Flynn says "there has been increased awareness among professional buyers." The people stocking our grocery shelves now pay more attention to quality problems and their ability to acquire legitimate product. One such vigilant professional is Lauren Winstead, global Buyer for Whole Foods Market's private label brands. "We test 365 Everyday Value oils for their pH levels, peroxide value, UV extinction, fatty acid composition, sterol composition, wax content, steroidal hydrocarbons, and pesticides to ensure it meets our requirements," she says. And the brand also packages oils in dark glass or tins to protect the oil from light, which can negatively affect the quality of oil.

California Olive Ranch is also committed to authentic extra virgin olive oil, and has seen a rise in demand as consumers become educated. "Half of the retailers in the US have transitioned to stocking California olive oil. That wasn't the case when we first started in 1998," Hirschbein tells us. Today, she says, California Olive Ranch is the number-four brand in the US and the fastest growing olive oil brand in America. Brands like California Olive Ranch are certified by the California Olive Oil Council (COOC), which uses stricter standards than international requirements. If you see the COOC seal, it means the oil has been submitted for a blind tasting by the board and meets high chemical and sensory standards to qualify as authentic extra virgin olive oil.

What You Can Do

"Olive oil is simply a fruit juice and it's perishable."

In addition to choosing certified brands with a proven track record, there are other tell-tale signs that an extra virgin olive oil is legit and things you can do to keep it that way. "Olive oil is simply a fruit juice and it's perishable," explains Hirschbein. If too much time passes from harvest to consumption, it will lose its extra virgin luster, she says. To makes sure you don't let that happen, here's what Hirschbein suggests:

  • Look for a fresh fruit smell: Give your oil a smell and if it reminds you of fruit and herbs that's good. If it smells like band aids or crayons it is of poor quality.
  • Never buy oil in a clear bottle: Instead, go for oils that come in dark or opaque bottles so the light can't damage it.
  • Try to find a harvest date: Oils in the northern hemisphere are produced at the end of each calendar year. Oils from the southern hemisphere are made around May and June. Olive oil is good one-and-a-half to two years past the bottling date.
  • Look for seals of certification: Third-party certifying agencies should give your bottle the stamp of approval. You can find a list of producers who certify their oil with the California Olive Oil Council here.
  • Opt for single country of origin: You want oil that comes from one place, not oil that is blended across multiple countries. Often, labels have confusing two letter codes on the back that stand for the four or more countries that the oil came from.
  • Don't go for the cheapest: Often, a low price is a sign that the oil may be old or of poor quality. The average price of olive oil is $4 to $5 per half liter. To get quality, you should double that. Expect to pay $8-$10 for a half liter for a good everyday olive oil, and up to $25 for nice finishing oil.
  • Keep it stored in a dark cool place: Try keeping it with your flour and other dry baking goods.
  • Resist the urge to savor your favorite olive oil: When you splurge a fancy oil it's tempting to save it for special occasions. Once opened, aim to finish your bottle of olive oil within 30 to 60 days, as it begins to oxidize like wine once exposed to air. If stored correctly and unopened, you can keep for up to two years.
  • Buy smaller bottles: If you know you go through olive oil slowly, purchases smaller bottles that you can store unopened.

The Beauty of Buying Local

The easiest solution for avoiding doctored olive oil may be right here at home in the USA. You can be more certain about the quality if you ditch imports for California-grown extra virgin olive oil. In the UC Davis study, nine out of ten California samples were confirmed authentic, a much better rate than the imported oils. You had a 1 in 10 chance of getting a bad oil when you bought California-grown, versus an almost 7 in 10 chance for the international oils. Since the study, a proactive American olive oil industry has stepped up pressure to make sure domestic oil is held to appropriate standards. As a result, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) adopted chemical and sensory standards for olive oil.

You don't have to sacrifice taste either. "California supplies only about five percent of domestic consumption," Flynn notes, "but California has been recognized in international competitions as being capable of producing very high quality." A recent blind tasting of supermarket olive oil by Cooks Illustrated magazine, gave their top prize to California Olive Ranch's Everyday Extra Virgin. Some popular import brands were described as "nothing special" or similar to vegetable oil.

Just like the California wine industry in the 1970s, the California olive oil industry could be poised to take on the European establishment. Grapes and olives grow in similar climates, so if California has been conducive to producing fine wine, it should have no problem with olive oil. There are already signs of a boom: there were 4 million gallons of California extra virgin olive oil produced during the 2015-16 harvest, compared to just 2.4 million gallons during the 2014-2015 harvest.

Brands like California Olive Ranch want to make sure that their products remain affordable, too. A half liter bottle of basic extra virgin olive oil is stocked at Wallmart for less than $8 and can also be found at Costco. Hirschbein explains: "One of our priorities at California Olive Ranch is to offer good extra virgin at an affordable price, so you can use it every day." When you realize how good the real thing is, you'll want to do just that.

Are Fifty Shades of Grey Wines Sexy or Shameful?

Fifty Shades Darker has been abuzz since the highly anticipated movie comes out Feb. 10, and now you can get another kind of buzz, thanks to E L James's line of Fifty Shades of Grey-branded wines ($18 a bottle). She considers the wine a "natural extension of the series" since wine "add(s) to the sensuality that pervades a number of scenes in the book," and the author herself perfected grape blends to create two bottles, White Silk and Red Satin.

When they arrived at the office to taste, the anticipation (perhaps as intense as Christian's feelings toward Anastasia?) nearly killed us. The question on everyone's mind: Would the wines taste sexy or shameful?

2013 Fifty Shades of Grey White Silk California White Wine: Sexy

In short, we deem White Silk sexy; it's a balanced, easy-drinking white wine with which we would happily refill our glasses. A blend of Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc, White Silk has an intense floral scent, sweet but acidic flavor, and delicate body. Despite being aged in stainless steel, the wine takes on a chest-burning characteristic and butterscotch-like flavor often found in oak-aged white wines. Ladies, go ahead and indulge in this bottle while reading the next romance novel on your list. Husbands, boyfriends, men in general: take note that the ladies will enjoy this fine bottle on a special occasion.

2012 Fifty Shades of Grey Red Satin California Red Wine: Semi-Sexy, Semi-Shameful

We have mixed feelings about Red Satin. A blend of Petit Sirah and Syrah, the medium-bodied red has intensely strong flavors of smoke, bacon, oak, and eucalyptus. It's hot on the nostrils, blazes on the palate, and burns going down. Yes, there's a bit of black cherry and caramel to temper out those harsh, manly flavors, but not enough to make you want to drink a whole glass (or bottle) without food. With a nice candlelit dinner and some sort of red meat, this wine has the potential to be sexy. But on its own, leather isn't exactly a sought-out flavor in a wine to inspire getting your sexy on. Well, unless, you're into that sort of thing, like Christian . . .

  • Ahh, I feel relaxed: Thank the hormone oxytocin for the feelings of calmness and peace that follow an orgasm. Feeling less tense can reduce stress and make you forget about things that were bothering you.
  • Good night! Sex not only feels good, but the drop in blood pressure and the total-body relaxation can also help you fall asleep faster, so sex can help people with insomnia.
  • Happiness! Hormones also improve your mood, which can be good news for those suffering from depression or anxiety. Getting busy could be a natural alternative to taking antidepressants.
  • This counts as exercise? Forty-five minutes of getting busy burns about 100 calories. Sounds like more fun than going for a run, eh?
  • No pain meds needed: Have a headache? The endorphins released during sex can actually act as a pain reliever when it comes to headaches and menstrual cramps.
  • The fountain of youth: Studies show that women who experience a higher frequency of orgasms during sex live longer!

If you're not in a relationship, so what?! You can still reap the health benefits of orgasms when you're alone. There are plenty of ways and even gadgets (like healing crystal dildos?) to help you reach your happy place all on your own.

And if you are in a relationship but sex rarely results in you reaching orgasm, it's time to have a little chat. Don't be shy! Tell your partner exactly what you like so you're not left in the dark. You owe it to yourself, not only for that amazing feeling, but more importantly for your health!
