Mom Realizes Not Sharing Her Breastfeeding Photo Was Doing a Disservice

"I wasn't going to share this in fear of ignorant backlash and shameful/negative comments," starts Samantha Montgomery in a post to Facebook. The mom's open words regarding sharing a beautiful and candid photo of herself breastfeeding her baby in the bathtub are unfortunately more than relatable for many other breastfeeding moms. However, after posting the photo to a private breastfeeding Facebook page, she decided that she should make the post public in an effort to continue to normalize breastfeeding.

"I posted this in my (private) Breast, Bottle, & Beyond Mama FB support group with the hashtag #normalizeit, and someone brought to my attention that by not sharing it, I actually wasn't helping to normalize this beautiful, amazing bond between a baby and mother through the natural process of breastfeeding (I was actually perpetuating the opposite)," she wrote. "This photo got over 1,400 likes and 200 comments and requests to share (what?!?!). All because my fellow mamas understand the *magic* in these moments."

Montgomery continues, showing gratitude to those who made her realize her photo was worth sharing with the world. "I didn't realize that the photo would spark such a wonderful conversation, but I'm so happy that it did, and that daddy caught this precious moment between us, as I will cherish it FOREVER. This is natural. This is raw and real. This is beautiful. This is special. I hope I can at least open up a positive and supportive dialogue about breastfeeding. Framing this beaut ASAP!"

People Waited in Line For Hours to Get This Beauty and the Beast Cup at Disneyland

Disneyland recently converted the Village Haus restaurant into the Red Rose Tavern as a temporary tribute to Beauty and the Beast. In addition to trying the "gray stuff," visitors had the option of purchasing a limited-edition Beauty and the Beast tumbler.

The cup looks just like the famous enchanted rose from the movie, and Disney-lovers went nuts for the adorable product. The tumbler is shaped like the glass jar Beast keeps his rose in and features a red rose within the cup. The tumbler even lights up, making the collector's item even more magical. Some theme park guests waited in line for hours to shell out $15 for one of the irresistible cups.

Unfortunately, the tumblers are now sold out, but if you're really dying to get your hands on one of these magical cups, they're being auctioned off on eBay for more than twice the original price. Keep scrolling to see the gorgeous tumbler.

This Mermaid Palette Isn't a Shellfish Purchase - You'll Donate to a Good Cause

There have been a lot of mermaid-inspired beauty products to hit the market lately, but indie brand KG Beauty's newest launch isn't just a pretty pick, it gives back to its source of inspiration.

KG Beauty's The Mermaid Palette ($36), which is currently available for pre-order, donates $1 from each purchase to The Marine Mammal Center. This nonprofit veterinary research hospital and educational center is based in Sausalito, CA, and is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured marine mammals.

If that tidbit alone doesn't inspire you to snap up this palette, here's what you need to know about it. The outside is wrapped in a sparkly scale-themed print, and when you open it, you'll see a beautiful illustration of a mermaid as well as nine eye shadows. Each is cleverly named (Call Me on My Shell Phone and Vitamin Sea are examples) and richly pigmented.

Keep reading for more shots of the palette and swatches of each shade, then pre-order it here.

6 Easy Beach-Wave Hacks For Gorgeous Instagram Hair

If there was a hairstyle to define the past decade, it would be beach waves. The now-classic style features textured waves, meant to look like you just got back from a day of surfing. You can see this effortlessly chic look everywhere from popular blow-dry bar menus to celebrity red carpets and, of course, the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show runways.

For the second season in a row, celebrity hairstylist Sarah Potempa's brand the Beachwaver was the official sponsor of the 2016 show in Paris.

"Victoria's Secret waves are the perfect combination of sexy, glamour, and relaxed all at the same time," she told me. "Women love this style because it is so versatile. Beach waves can be worn on the red carpet or with a t-shirt and jeans. This feeling of a natural, yet glamorous look will always be beautiful."

Also, the relaxed waves are flattering on most. "Beach waves enhance a women's natural beauty by adding volume and movement to the hair," she noted. "The iconic is created when the waves go away from the face, opening up right at the cheekbone to accentuate the face. This effortless style feels beautiful and touchable, with volume at the root and relaxed ends, making it a more comfortable, lived-in feel."

OK, so now you want to DIY beach waves at home, right? To help you get started, Potempa shared six hair hacks she relies on to easily get flawless waves every time. Keep reading!

Ben Affleck Cracks Jennifer Garner Up During a Family Outing in LA

If you look "smitten" up in the dictionary, you might find these photos of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner. The former couple, whose divorce is still up in the air, certainly appeared to be on good terms on Sunday while leaving church with their children, Violet, Seraphina, and Sam. As they made their way to their car, the Justice League actor looked like he was cracking Jennifer up with laughter. Maybe if that whole Batman thing doesn't work out, he can consider a career in stand-up?

Either way, the pair definitely has something to smile about; Ben announced that he successfully "completed treatment for alcohol addiction" earlier this month. He opened up about his stint in rehab on Facebook, citing his kids and estranged wife as reasons for getting sober. "I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be," he wrote. "I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step. I'm lucky to have the love of my family and friends, including my co-parent, Jen, who has supported me and cared for our kids as I've done the work I set out to do."

Girl With Autism Had a Major Breakthrough Thanks to 1 Stranger at the Park

After picking his kids up from school, a dad decided to take advantage of the great weather and stop by a park with his little ones. Typically, his sons run around and his little girl wanders on her own, exploring whatever catches her interest.

However, yesterday was different because a little girl approached this man and asked if she could play with his daughter. "Normally, Arwen ignores people she doesn't know. I told her that Arwen has autism and she might play, but she might not," the anonymous dad shared on Reddit. "I told the girl that Arwen doesn't talk, and that if she didn't want to play it wasn't the girl's fault . . . 'It's not that she doesn't like you, she just isn't comfortable with new people.'"

This dad shared that he expected Arwen to ignore Ava, but to his surprise, they began to play together. He described how Arwen followed the kind child to different playground equipment and when she went down the slides first, she would look back to make sue that her new friend was coming.

"This won't seem like a big deal to most people. You have to understand that Arwen is 12 years old, and this is the first time she has ever interacted with a child that she doesn't see every day," he wrote. "She even ignores most of her classmates. This was a huge deal for her."

When it was time to go, he asked Arwen if she wanted to say goodbye and what happened next had him, the teacher on the playground, and Arwen's mom tearing up. "Arwen hugged her. That never happens," he explained. "She doesn't even initiate hugs with people she knows."

This dad wasn't just in awe over his daughter's response to her new friend, he was equally blown away by Ava and wants her parents, whoever they are, to know what an incredible child they've raised. "Both the teacher and I thanked her for being nice to Arwen, and she looked at us like she had no idea what we were talking about," he wrote. "It was obvious that it never occurred to her to treat Arwen differently than any other kid. I think that was what got me the most. I never thought I'd get to see her make a friend."

This New Supermodel Will Be as Big as Gigi Hadid Before You Know It

Delilah Belle Hamlin and Gigi Hadid both made appearances on The Real Housewives series (their moms, Lisa Rinna and Yolanda Hadid, star on the show). But the similarities between the two girls don't end there, nor with their gorgeous blond hair or affinity for sneakers. Delilah Belle has signed with Elite NYC, and is reportedly talking about a contract with IMG. This all means she's the newest model to watch, and she's even walked down the same runway as Gigi. But like Gigi, Delilah is a smart, California-bred woman who is, at her core, a hard worker. Delilah told Teen Vogue in a feature for the magazine:

"My mom didn't let me model until I was 17. She knew the culture and the industry because she's been in it for so long, and she didn't really want me to get in it too early. She wanted me to mature more and understand things more, and not be so naïve going into it. It is a difficult culture with body type and body image, and she wanted me to wait until I was older."

She also admitted it's her dream to cover Vogue. Read on to see why we don't think Delilah Belle's wish is far off - she's been all over Fashion Week and made her runway debut at Tommy Hilfiger - and why we think she's got what it takes to make it in the fashion industry, regardless of her family's roots. Now, at 18, this stylish little lady is about to become an It supermodel.

Take a Look Back at Alessandra Ambrosio's Sexiest Victoria's Secret Fashion Show Outfits

We bet there's a law inside Victoria's Secret that prohibits its hyperfamous Fashion Show from happening without Alessandra Ambrosio. The model is as big of a staple on the runway as teeny-tiny lingerie, elaborate angel wings, and of-the-moment performers. She's been strutting her toned and defined body for the brand since 2000, and since officially becoming an Angel as VS Pink's first spokesperson in 2004, the honor of wearing the Dream Angels Fantasy Bra has been hers twice - in 2012 and in 2014 with fellow Brazilian Angel Adriana Lima. But besides those two bejeweled tops, Alessandra has graced the runway with some of Victoria's Secret's sexiest looks. Keep scrolling to see photos of those hot moments.

8 Things You Never Knew About Target Food, Straight From an Insider Employee

Since you spend so much time shopping at Target, you want to know as many secrets as possible, right? You're in luck, because we reached out to a Target representative for the official inside scoop on all things food shopping, from the return policy to the best money-saving tips. Keep these insider secrets in mind the next time you take a quick - or not so quick, probably - trip to Target.

You can return anything.

If you buy any item (including food) and decide you don't want it, you can return it for a full refund or exchange. "Guests can return anything, including grocery items. Most unopened items in new condition, returned within 90 days, will receive a refund or exchange." If it's a Target-owned brand item, you can return it within a whole year.

You can offer feedback and request items you'd like to see in the store.

Target really does listen to customers' concerns. "Because we are always eager to hear about our guests' experiences, Target.com encourages guests to create product reviews, add photos and videos, and interact with other guests." You never know if your idea might inspire the next snack in Target's aisles. "We have a test kitchen at our headquarters filled with expert chefs and trend watchers that create recipes and Target-owned innovations."

You can save a lot of money using Target's Cartwheel app.

Seriously, if you don't have Cartwheel by Target on your phone yet, download it now. It's an incredibly user-friendly app that makes your shopping experience even better. Cartwheel offers daily deals on items all over the store, from food to cleaning products. If you're feeling lazy, you don't even have to search the app - just scan the bar code of your product in the app and Cartwheel will tell you if it's on sale (pro tip: Archer Farms and Up & Up products usually are). "Since launching the app three years ago, more than 25 million guests have signed up for Cartwheel and saved more than $500 million on their Target purchases," the Target rep said.

You should take advantage of the price-match guarantee.

If you find something at a lower price within 14 days of your purchase, Target will match the price. "We'll match the price if you buy a qualifying item at Target then find the identical item for less at Target.com."

Some of the top-selling groceries are . . .

Archer Farms Monster Trail Mix, Simply Balanced Blue Corn Tortilla Chips, and Simply Balanced Vanilla Nut Clusters. Those are just a few of the bestselling snacks from Target.

Kids get free cookies at SuperTarget bakeries.

Kids who are 12 and younger can get a free cookie at SuperTarget store bakeries. The company recently added the option of getting a free piece of fruit instead.

You can get Archer Farms coffee beans ground at any in-store Starbucks for free.

Since most Targets have a Starbucks inside, this perk is incredibly convenient and desirable for coffee-lovers. While you're ordering your coffee for the day, you can also get a bag of whole beans ground to take home for the week. Archer Farms's coffee selections include French Roast, Cinnamon Vanilla Nut, and Café Mosaica.

You get a free "smash cake" when you purchase your child's first birthday cake from a Target baker.

While the rest of the party enjoys a separate, intact birthday cake, your baby can dive into a (free) smash cake.

10 Services to Help You Safely Monitor Your Child's Online Activities

The Internet is a wonderful source of entertainment and information for both parents and kids. For moms and dads who want to monitor their child's Internet usage more carefully, however, there are several user-friendly options to do so. The services below can help kids develop safer habits online and give parents more opportunities to keep track of what their kids are up to. Although this may seem like an invasion of privacy, when it comes to younger children, sometimes these services can come in handy. Keep reading to see which services fit your family's need for safer online browsing.

1. TeenSafe

This monitoring service allows parents of teens to remotely monitor an iPhone or Android phone's usage.

How it works: A seven-day free trial will let parents track their children's social media activities, like what they're posting on Facebook or Instagram. The service also gives parents access to their child's web browsing and search history, phone calls, texts, and messages sent through WhatsApp and Kik Messenger. In addition, parents can view their child's smartphone location.

2. My Mobile Watchdog

Parents can monitor their child's mobile activities from either a computer or through an iPhone or Android.

How it works: My Mobile Watchdog automatically keeps all your child's contacts synced so you can see who they're communicating with. You can also block certain apps from working on their phones and block any websites you feel aren't appropriate.

3. Kids Place

The comprehensive parental-control app lets parents restrict what apps their children can use on their smartphones.

How it works: The free app can easily be installed on your computer. Once installed, you can customize your child's home screen to show only approved apps and specify a schedule for when they can use the smartphone.

4. Abeona

The app allows parents to monitor app usage, view call logs, and check whether the device is online or not.

How it works: The free Abeona app also comes with a complementary app called Device Monitor. It has to be installed on your child's device so that parents can receive reports of device usage and location.

5. Screen Time Parental Control

This free app will help limit how much screen time your little ones get.

How it works: Once installed, parents can choose when they want to block the apps and also set a daily time limit on apps they want to restrict access to.

6. K9 Web Protection Browser

For iPhone users, this parental-control app will block inappropriate or potentially harmful sites.

How it works: Pornography and malicious sites will be automatically blocked once you install the app, which is available for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

7. Kid-Safe YouTube Lite

This free app will let parents filter YouTube videos.

How it works: Kid-Safe lets parents have more control over what their children watch. The app automatically blocks adult-related content, and you can also create a parent-approved collection of content for children.

8. McGruff SafeGuard

The parental-control service filters the web to ensure child-safe browsing for iPhones and iPads.

How it works: With a 30-day free trial, parents can block certain sites by age or category. They can also receive daily summaries of a child's online activity via email.

9. FamilyBase

For Verizon users, FamilyBase is a safety service that lets parents monitor their kids' social networks and who they're calling and texting.

How it works: To monitor a child's mobile activity, parents can use the Parent app by logging into My Verizon and set up daily alerts or summaries. The analyses will let parents know who their kids talk to the most, and parents can also block certain numbers from calling their kids' mobiles.

10. Net Nanny

The software protects families from pornography, online predators, and cyberbullying.

How it works: For $40 a year, the software offers features to protect the whole family, not just kids. Parents can set the total number of Internet hours their kids can use in addition to monitoring their social media use.

The Most Popular Kate Spade New York Accessories of All Time

Kate Spade New York is the brand behind some pretty iconic accessories. I'll never forget the yacht clutch my boyfriend's aunt secured ahead of her vacation cruise or the woven animal-shaped picnic baskets. The label's themed bags and jewels make for pretty fabulous street style moments, so it's no wonder you see them all over Fashion Week. If a statement item catches your eye, you can bet it's Kate Spade. So when we got the chance to talk to Deborah Lloyd, president and chief creative officer at the label, we had to ask her about her favorite pieces of all time.

This past New York Fashion Week, Deborah showed both Fall 2017 and Spring 2017, the latter a collection inspired by her travels to Morocco. Still, there are plenty more memorable accessories she can't get out of her head. Whether it was because they sold out instantly, cementing their status as must haves (who could forget that swan bag?), or were inspired by special memories, the accessories ahead all achieve Kate Spade's signature flair. In fact, Deborah thinks these are the best items ever made.

Nike's latest Air Max 1 iD sneakers ($150). If a fairy wore sneakers, we're betting it would be this pair.

These kaleidoscope kicks are literally the stuff of dreams. With Nike Air Max Day right around the corner (March 26, to be more specific), we imagine you'll be tossing aside your basic white kicks for these holographic sneakers. Hey, we're right along there with you.

You Don't Need to Be a Magician to Pull Off the Invisible Eyeliner Trend

The latest eye makeup trend is taking its cue from Harry Houdini, David Blaine, and the like. The so-called invisible or floating eyeliner trend utilizes negative space to create the illusion of a sharp eyeliner flick, resulting in a truly mesmerizing look.

Though everyone from makeup artists to enthusiasts has started to pick up the trend, it was likely started by UK-based artist Stacey McDonald, according to Allure. Though McDonald has shared videos demonstrating her process, you can attempt this look yourself by using the classic tape hack. Simply apply a small piece of tape diagonally to line up with the corner of your eyebrow, apply your eye makeup above the tape, and remove it to reveal that negative-space illusion.

8 Secrets of a Chinese Restaurant, Revealed by an Employee

If you've always wanted to know what really goes on inside a Chinese restaurant, you're in luck. A restaurant employee recently did a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) entitled Your Typical Chinese Restaurant Employee, and he answered a lot of users' questions that touched on everything except the exact recipes (some things have to remain a secret!). He wrote, "I am Chinese. Parents are Chinese. Parents own a typical take out Chinese food restaurant. I have worked there almost all my life and I know almost all the ins and outs." Curious about his insider secrets? Read on for some of the standout questions and answers, and then catch up on the whole AMA here.

1. The secret to authentic Chinese food is the sauce.

Someone mentioned that they try to make Chinese food at home but it's never nearly as good - not even "as good as the worst Chinese takeout." Turns out, the major difference is the sauce.

2. Using a wok makes a difference.

Another reason your homemade stir fries and lo mein might not taste authentic is that using a wok is far superior to a regular skillet. "The ability to flash cook in a wok makes a big difference believe it or not."

3. North American Chinese food is cheaper.

4. The secret to the chicken in dishes like General Tso's is the breading.

5. Yes, many restaurants really do use the same images for the menu.

6. Don't believe a restaurant if it says it doesn't have MSG . . . it's already in soy sauce and many other sauces.

7. The best thing to order is anything Mongolian style. At least, that's this guy's personal favorite.

8. The one thing you should NEVER order is . . . fries.

What Dads Really Want to Say to Their Stressed Out Wives

The following article was written by Ben Stahl, the husband of POPSUGAR Moms contributor Kate Stahl, with a few loving edits from his grammatically superior wife.

I get it: being a mom is stressful, no matter if you're working outside of the house part-time, full-time, or not at all (and you've tried all three since we've had kids!). I, your husband, probably don't tell you enough that I see what you're doing, keeping our house running, sometimes like a fine-tuned machine, other times like a clunker in need of an oil change, but running, nonetheless. If it was up to me, I'd probably be calling roadside assistance (aka grandma, babysitters, basically anyone who would take my call) every single day, begging for help.

You're strong, you're forward thinking, you're the backbone of our family. But I can also tell that all the responsibility gets to you sometimes. Even when you act like everything's fine, I can see how close you are to losing it, and you completely losing it? It affects us all. I want to bring you back from the edge. I want you to feel supported.

So please listen when I tell you what I'm really thinking when I see how stressed you are.

  • I see how much you do, even when I don't thank you for it. I appreciate that I come home to a nice house, a hot dinner, and two kids who are happy, fed, and thriving. I remember that weekend you were out of town, and I know how much it takes to keep everything in order; it's like swimming upstream. But my day is stressful, too, in different ways, and sometimes I'm too preoccupied with work to remember to say thank you for doing the laundry, cleaning the bathroom, caring for the kids, and still finding time to make me dinner. I'll try to remember to express my gratitude more.
  • Communicate clearly with me when you're about to lose it so I can help. We all know that you're Superwoman, but even she needed an occasional break. When you feel like you're going to go bananas if you have to wash one more sippy cup, pick up one more dried piece of Play-Doh, or tell our kids to eat their dinners one more time, I'm there to help, but you have to ask for it. I'm not a mind reader, and admittedly, I don't see all the mess or know what the kids should be doing at every minute like you do. I know it's not your favorite thing to admit defeat, but when you feel defeated, please tell me. I promise to help.
  • Our home does not have to look perfect. I get that you like an organized, clean house. It's something you've helped me appreciate more since I met you, but we have two tiny animals (aka our children) living in this house, and it's never going to look as great as you want it to. So try to let that impossible battle go . . . just a little.
  • I appreciate everything you do, but here is what's really important to me. The pristine kitchen and perfectly-made beds, I'll admit, I don't really care too much about. What I do value: your attention and affection. I know that you're often emotionally and physically drained after a day with the kids. I don't want to demand more from you, but remember, our relationship is important, too.
  • Please don't leave us, because we're so screwed without you. Seriously, we can't do this family thing without you, and that old saying "happy wife, happy life" is totally true. So tell me what will make you feel better, and unless it's a private island, a $10,000 purse, or triplets, I'll do everything in my power to give it to you - because without you, our family just doesn't work.

You'll Be Obsessed With Swatches of the Jeffree Star x Manny MUA Collaboration

After some major anticipation, we've finally got the official scoop on the Jeffree Star x Manny MUA launch, and boy, is it good! In a video on Manny's channel, the two got together for a reveal. We knew that the collab would include some liquid lipsticks and a highlighter, but we know what the shades inside are.

As you know, the packaging (including the boxes, compact, and tube) is black, and this is a first for Jeffree's range. The accent is holographic, which is so hot right now. We're particularly enamored that both Jeffree and Manny's signature logos - a star and a moon, respectively - are on every aspect of the products, including the sticker on the back of the highlighter compact and pressed into the powder itself.

The collection officially launches at 10 a.m. PT on April 8, and you'll be able to purchase all three items in a bundle for $50. However, if you'd rather buy items one piece at a time, the liquid lipsticks will cost $18 and the Skin Frost will be $29. In another first, Jeffree is allowing the use of a discount code on his website. Enter MANNYMUA at checkout and you'll be able to get 10 percent off individual items from the collaboration.

Watch the video above to see the products in action, then keep reading to see the products themselves and swatches of each shade.

How to Get Fit by Working Out Less

Is it better to work out more or less? Our friends at Shape have the solution.

Fitness is in my blood. Growing up, my father worked as a surf lifeguard on the Australian coast, and I was expected to start junior surf lifeguard training when I was just 10. At that point, I did it mainly because he wanted me to, not because I loved it, but his example showed me the importance of staying physically fit and having fun while doing it. (He's actually competing in the Rottnest solo swim, a 21k open water swim held in Western Australia, as I type this!)

Growing up in an active family was fun, but when I hit high school, my relationship with my body took a turn for the worse. I started to feel insecure about what I saw as my flaws. So I did what I thought I was supposed to: exercise more and eat less. And when I started to see results, I kept exercising even more. Over the next few years, I added countless fitness programs to my workout schedule. I did everything from triathlons, to Bikram yoga, to Thai kickboxing. And I absolutely loved all of it! But this newfound love for working out and desire to keep seeing results created a vicious cycle. I didn't want to drop anything, which meant I was eventually exercising two or more times nearly every day - with no rest in between.

Part of it was not wanting to quit any of my passions, but if I'm being honest, it was also driven by fear that if I stopped, my body would instantly revert back to how it was when I had felt the most insecure about it. It didn't help that I wasn't well-educated on how to truly maintain a healthy exercise and diet plan, so I simply went with the "more must be better" mindset. It all seemed logical at the time: The more I exercised, the more strong and fit I would become. And I wasn't the only one. I soon discovered this "more is more" attitude is a really common misconception that many women have about fitness. (FYI, here's Why You Should Stop Doing Things You Hate Once and for All.)

Unfortunately, the workouts - combined with my strict diet - meant I was running on little fuel and my body started to wear down. I was tired a lot, had a hard time recovering, and wasn't seeing the physical results I thought I should. The saddest part? I genuinely thought I was doing the healthiest possible thing for a very long time.

Then I got pregnant. And as my body went through huge changes, so did my mindset about what was "healthy." With the full approval of my doctor I continued to enjoy my favorite exercises, but because of the added demands of the pregnancy, I scaled way back on how much I did. I also loosened up my diet, allowing myself to enjoy the foods I was craving.

It was great! I was pleasantly surprised to discover that even though I was doing a lot less, I still maintained a good level of fitness, which made me rethink my non-pregnancy fitness regime and my "healthy" lifestyle overall. I realized I didn't need to do everything to be fit and healthy - which was the most amazing and liberating feeling.

After my baby was born, I cut my workouts down even more so I could spend more time with her and my husband. This time I was surprised to discover that not only did my fitness not suffer but it actually improved! Despite working out so much less, now I'm faster, stronger, and leaner than I've ever been. My husband jokes that pregnancy got me in the best shape of my life - and it's true.

These days I do a one-hour mix of cardio and resistance circuit workouts three days a week. That's it! The other four days I'm not just laying around my house eating ice cream - just like my family growing up, my husband and I try to be active as a family. We go on walks, play outside, go swimming, and even do yoga. Working out less frequently gives my body the time it really needs to regenerate, rest, and get stronger. I've finally learned my body isn't a machine and it needs to refuel and have adequate rest.

My husband and I are now trying for a second baby and my pre-pregnancy diet and exercise is completely different than it was before I got pregnant the first time. Rather than killing it in cardio classes, I'm doing a lot of core training and strength work, focusing on getting the best results I can with the least amount of stress on my body. This preventative approach will hopefully help me have an easier pregnancy, childbirth, and recovery.

But perhaps the biggest benefit has been mental. Instead of my life revolving around my workouts, now my workouts fit into and support my life. I still love exercise and always will but my real passion is being with the people I love. And for me, that means doing workouts that will help me live a long healthy life with them, not that take me away from them.

8 Toxic Ingredients You Should Never Use in Your Skin Care Routine

Last month, I had the opportunity to visit Tata Harper's farm in Vermont, and it blew my mind. It should not have been so shocking. I've been a fan of her natural-ingredient, eco-friendly skin care and makeup line for years. It's ideal for my sensitive skin, and everything smells deliciously botanical with milky, silky textures. But actually seeing the farm-to-vanity process of these products made me realize: they are the real deal.

These are not products that claim to have organic ingredients but are still packed with "processed" stuff. In fact, most Tata Harper formulas have the shelf life of just a few months. She pointed out: why would you want to put something on your face with enough preservatives to make it last for years? Gross. (I immediately went home after the trip and threw away a ton of expired formulas.)

"I started Tata Harper Skincare after my stepfather was diagnosed with cancer," she told me via email. "Through all of the doctor's appointments I learned so much about lifestyle and how little decisions affect health and wellbeing. That's when I started really researching ingredients, and discovered that a lot of the ingredients with the most potential health risks aren't even there to give results; they're just fillers like preservatives, emulsifiers, stabilizers, and thickeners designed to keep the formula stable and give the product its texture. I only use natural ingredients because I believe that no woman should have to compromise her health for her beauty, especially if those ingredients aren't even making her beautiful!"

The more I learned about natural ingredients, the more I only wanted to use them. Every time I wash my face with Tata Harper Regenerating Cleanser, I envision the apricot seed powder exfoliating my skin and the French pink clay detoxifying it. Or when I nourish my face with the Rejuvenating Serum, I know rosehip seed oil is rejuvenating my under-eye area, while Spanish lavender extract is relaxing fine lines.

If you are eager to get informed about the harmful ingredients in your skin care products, as well as natural ones to look for instead, keep reading. Tata Harper herself breaks down what to ditch, what to use, and why.
