Keep Your Pout on Point With These Plumping Lip Masks

Since the Korean masking trend crossed over to the US beauty scene, I've been hooked. I own a wealth of sheet masks, multimask like a mofo, and use under-eye treatments almost daily (you can read about my favorite ones here). So when lip masks emerged, I was intrigued - and I wasn't alone.

We live in the age of the plumped lip, and more women are seeking ways to enhance their pout without makeup (or needles). According to Pinterest, the latest innovation in masking also happens to be one of 2017's most popular bridal beauty trends.

The lip-shaped gels come in various sizes, but most commonly the oversize pink ones you've probably seen on Instagram. They're infused with ingredients that target a range of concerns from moisture and dryness to plumping. Covering your pout with one for a few minutes will leave you with fuller, softer, sexier lips. And you can't deny that it also makes for the perfect selfie op.

Some of my favorite brands have gotten in on the trend and created lip masks that are as effective as they are Instagramable. If you've been thinking of taking the mask route to a plumped pout, keep reading to discover some of my favorites.

Alicia Keys on Wearing Makeup: "I Do What the F*ck I Want"

Alicia Keys famously took a strong stand against makeup in June 2016, but for some reason, her personal choice to go bare is still a topic of conversation. The 15-time Grammy winner has been embracing her imperfections and natural beauty for a while but has made no secret of the fact that there are still some products she incorporates into her skin-care routine.

Apparently, Alicia's cohost on The Voice Adam Levine thought ditching the makeup meant she used zero products whatsoever. It wasn't until Adam caught her applying a little makeup while on set that he had some questions. Adam recently sat down with Howard Stern to talk about what goes on behind the scenes of their NBC show, where Howard asked him about Alicia's stance on going makeup-free.

Adam jokingly brought up the time he walked in on Alicia doing the unthinkable, and her applause-worthy response is going to make you smile. "She was putting on a little bit of makeup, I was like, 'Oh, yeah, I thought Alicia doesn't wear makeup,'" he recalled with sass. "And she's like, 'I do what the f*ck I want.'"

BOOM! Adam said that he replied to his cohost saying, "I love you so much," and we couldn't think of a better comeback. Alicia has been defending her natural glow since she decided to ditch the heavy makeup, but it's her personal decision to go bare and she's right, she can do whatever she wants!

Check out Adam's hilarious clip from The Howard Stern Show below.

A Not-So-Brief History of All the Ladies Leonardo DiCaprio Has Dated

It goes without saying that Leonardo DiCaprio is a hit with the ladies - especially ladies who are probably tall, are probably blond, and have probably walked a runway. Over the years, the Oscar winner has romanced Hollywood actresses, Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girls, and Victoria's Secret catwalk queens, all while trying to prove that he's just a regular guy who loves riding bikes around the city, texting his famous friends with club recommendations, and hitting the vape every once in a while.

While plenty of people pine for the love that Leo had with BFF Kate Winslet in Titanic (and sort of wish that they would get together IRL), the 41-year-old isn't really doing anything wrong with sowing his oats - just look at his fellow former Hollywood bachelor George Clooney, who definitely landed a catch when he married wife Amal in 2014. Leo himself revealed in an interview last year that marriage "will come when that time comes," adding, "You can't plan it. It's just going to happen when it happens." For now, we're looking back on Leo's relationship history, from the true romances to the rumored flings. Keep reading to see them all now.

Even Diamond Experts Are Excited by the Size of Kirsten Dunst's Engagement Ring

Kirsten Dunst proudly showed off her engagement ring from Fargo costar Jesse Plemons, sitting front row at Couture Week, no less. It's no wonder she's excited, given the jewel's unique traits. The oval-shaped diamond is mounted in flashing yellow gold, and it's played up by complementing stones on each side of the band. Some editors and diamond experts estimate the piece to be a full three carats, ringing in around $80,000.

There's really no better place to compare notes on your most prized jewel than at Paris Haute Couture Week, and Kirsten did just that, as she and Arizona Muse caught up at the Ralph & Russo show. Read on to see Kirsten's ring shine against her romantic ivory dress, shop similar designs if you're so inclined, and check out how Kirsten recycled her old Oscars dress recently. It seems like right now, Kirsten's having quite the memorable style moment.

Everything We Know So Far About Anastasia Beverly Hills's New Otherworldly Glow Kit

The team behind Anastasia Beverly Hills was one of the first to capitalize on the "fairidescent" beauty trend with its magical Moonchild Glow Kit. Now, they're expanding their range of ethereal highlighter palettes with the upcoming Aurora Glow Kit, and we couldn't be more excited.

The dreamy compact seems to be inspired by stars and outer space, because each of the six otherworldly shades references interplanetary movement or constellations. There's Eclipse (soft peach), Luna (oyster pink), Spectra (deep lavender), Helia (minty white), Orion (turquoise), and Lyra (warm orange). Each seems to boast a serious amount of sparkle, but knowing the formulas of the Anastasia highlighters, we'd guess that they also feature iridescence or flashes of other shades when swatched. Keep reading to see more shots of the contents of the Aurora Glow Kit, then get excited for its launch on April 4.

Spoiler Alert! What Happens at the End of the Big Little Lies Book

It's been weeks since the Big Little Lies miniseries premiered on HBO, and we're still buzzing about the show's central mystery: who died, and who's the killer? The show stays mostly faithful to Liane Moriarty's novel of the same name, but there are still a few big differences to both the general plot and the characters. Could the ending be one of them? The final episode airs on Sunday, and we have a feeling that the characters at the heart of the novel's mystery will be the same ones in the TV adaptation as well. If you've yet to finish Moriarty's suspenseful novel, you might want to turn back now, because spoilers abound.

MAJOR SPOILERS for the end of the Big Little Lies novel below!

Let's get to the basics first, shall we? The book begins by introducing its first mystery right off the bat. Various parents of students at Pirriwee Public School are giving statements to detectives about an incident that occurred during a trivia night fundraiser at the school; someone died, but no one seems to know who did it or how it really happened (although they have plenty of catty ideas about who might have committed the crime). Then, we go back in time to six months before the trivia night to meet young, mild-mannered single mom Jane, who moves to the small, charming town of Pirriwee on the Australian coast with her son, Ziggy. She enrolls him at Pirriwee Public, which is where she's befriended by fellow kindergarten moms Madeline and Celeste. On orientation day Ziggy is accused of trying to strangle a little girl in his class, Amabella, which Ziggy adamantly denies, setting into motion another big mystery: if it's not Ziggy, who is the true culprit behind Amabella's bullying?

The third mystery also concerns Ziggy. In a vulnerable moment, Jane reveals to Madeline that her son was conceived years earlier during a drunken, violent one-night stand that went incredibly awry. The man was charming at first and introduced himself as Saxon Banks. When they got to the hotel room, however, he began calling her awful names while they had sex, and the situation quickly devolved into something much more abusive. Jane later admits that the reason she uprooted her life to Pirriwee was because on the night she met him, he told her he might be moving there soon. She'd hoped that one day she could confront him for what he'd done in person, but unfortunately she was never able to find a man by the name of Saxon Banks living there.

Meanwhile, Celeste, a former-lawyer-turned-stay-at-home-mom, is married to successful businessman Perry and they have a seemingly perfect life. They're both Hollywood levels of attractive, rich beyond belief, and parents to rambunctious twin boys, Max and Josh (who go to school with Ziggy). Although they're the envy of everyone in Pirriwee, Celeste is hiding an awful secret: Perry physically abuses her (but never in the face, so she can hide the bruises). The night of the trivia fundraiser, Josh comes to his mother and tells her that Max, not Ziggy, is the one who's been bullying Amabella (and another little girl, Skye) at school, because he picked up on what his father was doing. Celeste, crippled with guilt, vows to tell Jane as soon as she and Perry arrive at the fundraiser. Just before they walk inside the school, Perry discovers that Celeste is planning to leave him and take the twins with her and starts to seethe with anger.

Inside the trivia night, the parents are all drunk because the event's food never arrived and begin fighting among each other. Madeline, Ed (her husband), Jane, Renata, Bonnie, and Nathan (Nathan is Madeline's ex-husband, and Bonnie is his new wife) all step outside on the school's balcony for a breather, when Celeste and Perry join them. Jane, laying eyes on Celeste's husband for the first time, realizes that he is Saxon Banks (Perry used his cousin's name on the night he assaulted her). She confronts him and he brushes her off, prompting Celeste to yell at him. He immediately smacks Celeste hard across the face in front of everyone, much to their horror. Bonnie, who grew up with an extremely abusive father, starts screaming about how Perry is the reason why Max has been bullying Amabella and Skye (her daughter) and pushes him backward out of anger. Because of the slippery floor on the balcony and the height of the railing behind him, Perry tumbles backward and falls to his death.

Right as this happens, a fight between a few dads in the other room comes crashing out onto the balcony, knocking into Jane and Madeline, leaving them with badly broken bones. Celeste begins to scream, and that's when the police are called to come handle the situation at Pirriwee Public. Madeline, Jane, Renata, Celeste, and Nathan initially agree to cover for Bonnie, saying that were all looking the other way and didn't see her push Perry, but eventually she confesses to the police herself and is given a few hundred hours of community service as punishment. Celeste moves away from Pirriwee with her boys, but sets up a generous trust fund for Ziggy with Perry's money.

Pretty dramatic, huh? Although the show has gone in a few different directions than the book, we have a feeling it will totally live up to its source material's ending.

If The Walking Dead Followed the Comics More Closely, Morgan Would Be Dead

With a name like The Walking Dead, it should come as no surprise that AMC's zombie apocalypse drama features quite a few grisly deaths. In the first half of season seven alone, we saw the tragic murders of Glenn and Abraham, plus two more in the midseason finale - and we're about to see even more carnage in the season finale.

With the comic books serving as source material for the TV show, we have hints about the fates of future characters like the charismatic King Ezekiel and the awful villain Negan. You know what we also have, thanks to the comics? Knowledge of deaths that could've happened but never did. And Morgan is one of them.

Morgan's story plays out in the comic books much like it does in the TV show with a couple tweaks here and there. Rick encounters him in the very first issue and leaves him as he heads into Atlanta. Much like the show, some time passes before they meet again. Rick is leading a group on a supply run to his old police station and Morgan intercepts them. He's gone a bit crazy over the loss of his son and clearly has lost partial grip on reality. Here's where things veer off, just a bit.

As you know, Rick and the gang leave Morgan behind in the TV show. Morgan eventually sets off by himself. He encounters that man who teaches him empathy and those wicked bo staff skills, and then he finds his way to Alexandria by following Rick's trail of clues. In the comic books, Morgan simply goes with the group that second time around and lands in Alexandria anyway. The comic book version of the character still seems to be deeply troubled by his tumultuous experiences, while the TV version seems to have reached a point of zen.

There's one other huge thing to note about Morgan's story. In the comic books, he sleeps with Michonne. He winds up insisting that he's not attracted to Michonne in that way, and he's still just hurting from the loss of his wife. In fact, even though she's long gone, Morgan still feels guilty and like he's committed infidelity. In the TV show, Rick shacks up with Michonne. And this isn't just any fling: they've grown this part of their relationship, they sleep together, and for all intents and purposes, they're a couple.

And then there's Morgan's death. As you might recall, there's a point where Alexandria's wall gets breached and the community gets overrun by walkers. While the TV Morgan makes it through this, the comic books aren't quite as forgiving. Morgan gets bitten on the arm, and Michonne quickly amputates it with her katana before the infection spreads. Morgan is taken to the infirmary, and Denise patches him up. Tragically, though, he doesn't survive. During a conversation with Michonne, she realizes he's gone and kills him to stop his walker transformation.

As for the TV show? Morgan is still kicking. At the end of season six, Morgan sets off to follow Carol, who has left Alexandria. The two of them inadvertently end up in the Kingdom, and while Morgan seems to be settling in, Carol is antsy to leave. There are a few small hints that a romance might be blooming between Carol and Morgan. Then again, there are also hints she might end up with King Ezekiel. Only time will tell, but we do know that Morgan has suited up for war in the finale.

10 Things You Should Never Say to Your Childless Friends

If it hasn't already started happening, it's only a matter of time before your group of friends will have another group . . . of babies. It's a fun, exciting time, especially when you start to arrange playdates, but for those pals in your circle who are still child-free, dinner parties get more than a little awkward when the conversation turns to "so, have you thought about kids?" To help make your childless friends feel more comfortable, here are some comments you should never make, no matter how good your intentions.

  1. But you are so good with children, and you love my kids!: Using this phrase as a reason your friend should have a baby is illogical. Even though you may mean it as a compliment, just because she is great with kids and loves another person's child doesn't necessarily mean she wants one of her own. At the end of the day, she's not responsible for all the less-fun activities of raising a baby like potty training or waking up in the middle of the night.
  2. Trust me, it's all worth it in the end: While any parent can agree the end is definitely worth it, you shouldn't tell your friends what you think is or isn't worth their time. Let them decide. They might completely disagree with you and think the road to raising a kind and mature adult is not worth the struggles.
  3. What do your parents think?: Don't bring up the baby conversation if it concerns your friend and her parents. What they talk about is off limits unless she initiates the topic. You don't know what her parents are thinking, and you could stir up some unwanted feelings.
  4. Thanks for the advice, but you're not a mom: She might not be a mother, but she just wants to help, especially if you talk about parenting stuff offhandedly. For unsolicited advice, a better reply would be simply saying thank you and leaving it at that no matter how strongly you disagree. Sometimes parents do know better than people without children, but reserve your judgments for private.
  5. I didn't think you would want to come . . . it was a party with all parents and kids: Whether it's your child's first birthday or 10th, extend an invite to your close friends, even if it's going to be all parents and children. They'll appreciate you at least kept them in mind. Childless people love a good party too!

1 Expert Shares Why You Need to Focus on the Short Term to Hit Long-Term Goals

People work out for a lot of different reasons. Maybe it's to lose 10 pounds or to fit into those college jeans, or perhaps the motivating factor is to to be healthy for their children as they grow into adulthood. All of these are valid motivating factors, but goals like this can feel lofty and far away. As anyone who has lost weight can tell you, dropping 10 pounds is not an easy journey and it's certainly not a short one. This is perhaps why so many of us fail.

Instead of framing our health and wellness journeys in the context of our future selves, what if we focused on our present selves instead? This was a notion I learned from Emily Falk, associate professor of communication at the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg School For Communication, whose research focuses on health communication and the type of messaging our brains will respond to in a more receptive way. I met Professor Falk after her Adidas Future/Fit panel at SXSW, where she discussed what might make individuals more open to change when it comes to health.

Research has shown that thinking of the immediate benefits of an action can be hugely beneficial, said Falk. Very often our goals - health or otherwise - fail because of a concept called "delay discounting," she said. The further out the reward is, the more we discount it, and in some cases, the reward seems so far out that it loses its value. If we can make the reward more immediate, it may be easier to make choices that we initially resisted. "Bringing motivation to the here and now can help people become more successful," Falk said.

As an example, let's take workouts, which can be so easy to skip. Remind yourself why a workout might make you feel good today. Maybe it's having "me time," or it's the joy that comes from socializing with friends after the class is over. Perhaps it's the invincible feeling you get from crushing a set of burpees. Instead of thinking about how many dress sizes you want to drop or the vacation that is six months out, frame the activity to have value to you now - not later, not five years from now, not five pounds from now.

How to Get the J.Crew Look, According to the Brand's Head Stylist

A signature J.Crew outfit - complete with a shirt, sweater, coat, trousers, and shoes - is carefully considered, but appears effortless. That's what's so intriguing about the brand's signature styling: there's a method to the "polished madness." In order to strike that perfect balance you see on the mannequins when you walk in the store or on the company's Instagram page, you've got to be open to trial and error.

We talked to J.Crew's head stylist, Gayle Spannaus, who painted a very pretty picture for us when we asked her about the look. "I always like to start with a classic white shirt, a stripe, and a piece of denim. Those are the building blocks!" So what comes next? Mixing. "It's tom girl style, mixing high with low, feminine with masculine, and trendy with evergreen. We always say 'the magic is in the mix,'" Gayle explained.

All it takes is throwing on, say, a splashy pattern with stripes and a ruffled skirt, then seeing how it all comes together. Too many colors? Break them up with a neutral tailored coat. Too simple? Tie a bright cardigan around the waist of your jeans. Read on for even more inspired tips, and shop some J.Crew separates while you're at it to help you achieve the highly coveted look.

Our Obsession With Rocks Is Officially Crystallized With the Geode Hair Trend

It's no secret that geodes have taken over our lives recently. First came geode lip art, which was adorable but unfortunately far from kissable. Then came geode nails, which crystallized every sentiment we had for the rock-inspired trend. And now we present you with geode hair, the adorable new trend that takes our love for rainbow hair to a new level. Geode hair combines our obsession with all things iridescent with bright shades to have us ready for the Summer.

In order to replicate the interior of a crystal geode, stylists are lightening clients' hair from the bottom up. Los Angeles-based stylist Cherin Choi told Refinery 29 that in order to achieve the geode hair look above, she starts by simply lightening the hair. "The hair is completely dried, then the amethyst purple is applied on the mid sections, then the moonstone blue onto the very tips," she shared. "I use a brush and emulsify with my hands to blend the colors."

The main difference between rainbow hair and geode hair is that geode hair does not require you to completely bleach your hair to get the glowing look; it only requires the hair to be lightened and colored with one or two shades that are blended by hand. The look gives off the appearance of the inside of a crystal with the fading of one color to more iridescent colors or back to the natural hair color. It's stunning!

Relive Every Epic Moment of Solange's Wedding Weekend With Beyoncé and Jay Z

Solange Knowles may have tied the knot with music video director Alan Ferguson in New Orleans way back in November 2014, but we still can't stop obsessing over it. According to reports, Solange and Alan said "I do" at Holy Trinity Church in the Bywater neighborhood after arriving on white bicycles. Although Solange made her entrance in a pantsuit by Stéphane Rolland, she later changed into a Humberto Leon for Kenzo gown and cape. Meanwhile, the bride's sister, Beyoncé, showed off her figure in a tight white dress. The singer attended the event with husband Jay Z and the couple's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. Following a celebration with about 200 friends and family members, Bey and Jay Z made their way outside to dance in the streets with Solange, Alan, and other wedding guests.

Solange and Beyoncé kicked off the festivities with family and friends at the Indywood Theater, which shared details about the event on Facebook. "Solange is getting married to a wonderful man on Sunday and they rented out the theater for a pre-wedding party," the cinema wrote in a status update. According to the theater, the group watched Diana Ross's classic film Mahogany, which Solange and Alan reportedly saw on their first date. The couple added another personal touch to the event, playing a film about the early days of their relationship.

There Is Enough to Be Scared of These Days, So Don't Be Scared of Foundation

Let's stop beating around the bush. Here's the deal: you have imperfections but you don't want people to see them. Foundation was invented millions of years ago for this very purpose. If you are going to wear foundation, then for God's sake, just wear it. Go for it, there's nothing to be afraid of.

I'm a makeup artist, and at least once a day, a client sits down. She asks me to do her makeup and if I can remove the foundation that she put on that morning. More often than not, there is no visible sign of foundation on her skin. When I say "no visible sign," I mean that I can see every flaw on her face. Dark spots, redness, and blemishes are on full blast to the naked eye.

"You have foundation on?" I will ask gently as I pretend to be wiping off her makeup.

"Well, I just use a tiny bit, and I mix it with my moisturizer," or "I just use my fingers to apply it in spots," are two of the answers I receive most often.

As soon as I suggest using a proper moderate-to-heavy coverage foundation, the client will often become tense and back away from me while clutching a hand mirror. She will tell me nervously how she doesn't like a lot of makeup and doesn't want to look like a clown.

Thankfully, I no longer have feelings. I can no longer get offended by clients who are not familiar with modern technology in makeup, so I proceed as though they have said nothing.

I am confident that what I choose will most likely be a great solution. Not only because I am a superstar makeup artist, but more importantly, because the real "makeup people" (the ones in the labs creating the makeup) are quite brilliant. The technology that is used in today's cosmetics is the most innovative and impeccable stuff we have seen in decades. Let's use it.

I know that many of you are afraid of that dreaded "line" of foundation on your jawline. That line that we have all seen on our poor friend who is wearing the wrong shade of foundation. It screams "I am wearing too much makeup, and I don't know what I am doing."

We want to look flawless but we don't want the world to know that we have spent our morning covering up our flaws. This is extremely attainable these days.

The most obvious choice is tinted moisturizer. First, for those of you who are handcrafting your own concoction by mixing your foundation with your day cream each morning, stop the madness. There are many great tinted moisturizers on the market. The great people, behind the curtain, have done the work for you. These products will even out skin tone, give a little bit of coverage for redness, and give your face a healthy glow and a nice dose of SPF.

The best one is Laura Mercier's tinted moisturizer, hands down. I have worked for this brand for 12 years, and I can probably count on one hand the number of people I have applied it on that haven't loved it.

If you are in the market for a traditional foundation, the world is your oyster. I can safely say that almost every brand - even drugstore brands - has something pretty decent to offer. It is simply a matter of finding the one that works for you.

If you are oily and petrified of liquids or creams touching your skin (for fear of breakouts), I get it. You, more than any other, need coverage, because chances are you have blemishes or pores that need covering. A powder foundation is your friend. However, tread lightly. If you aren't careful, you will go to your nearest department store and leave with 15 pounds of mineral powder on your face.

While you might feel "covered," one doesn't want their mineral powder entering the room before them. Nothing says "I have bad skin" like an inch of powder foundation. My favorite is IT Cosmetics CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder. It provides sheer to full coverage, skin care benefits, and SPF 50! Most importantly, it looks natural and you can still see that your face is actually made out of human skin.

If you want to achieve a dewy look while simultaneously covering anything unseemly, then walk yourself over to the Armani section of your department store. Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is the king of foundation. It is so glowy and perfect, you won't even recognize yourself. This formula provides the coverage that we all want and makes our imperfect skin look like porcelain glass.

To be sure that you will feel comfortable, let's think about your application practices. While fingers are okay, let's be honest about how well our fingers work. Are we in a rush? Is the lighting bad in our bathroom? Are our children late for school and we don't have time for perfect finger blending? Do we have early signs of arthritis in our finger joints?

There are many reasons we might benefit from a tool. If you are wearing a tinted moisturizer, then that tool should be a good, quality foundation sponge. If you are wearing a true foundation, then try a foundation brush.

DO NOT tell me you are applying your foundation with a "blender." "Blenders" are for "blending." Use a foundation sponge or brush to apply foundation. It will work faster than your fingers and create an airbrushed look to your skin. An added bonus is that you don't have to wash your hands afterward, which also saves all that $64 Armani foundation from going down the drain, literally.

When you decide to live life on the edge and apply your foundation all over your face, as it is designed to be, you will find a fabulous person looking back at you in the mirror. You will be ecstatic that you embraced foundation.

We have so much to worry about these days. We can stay up all night worrying about our jobs, our kids, our cholesterol, health care, Russians . . . Let's not worry about foundation.

The 1 Thing About Jason Momoa That You Might Not Know

Cate Blanchett: "You Can Tell When Someone Has Had Sex - Their Skin Looks Better"

We could go on and on about how flawless Cate Blanchett's skin is, but if you probably already know she's a goddess. The 47-year-old actress and longtime SK-II ambassador took time out of her busy schedule to share exactly what she does, uses, and avoids to keep her face looking so damn fresh. Keep reading to learn the recipe to gorgeous, glowing skin straight from her mouth. Hint: you're not getting it at the doctor's office!

Be Consistent

"I'm very interested in fashion, but not when it comes to skin care. Each month, there seems to be a new product or a new theory - new this, a new that. Find something that works and stick to it. For me it's been the Facial Treatment Essence, and I've been using it for 15 years. Obviously the SK-II product line has evolved over time, so I tend to make my own facials within that range."

DIY Your Own Facials

"It depends on what I'm doing, like where I'm filming. I'll incorporate a mask, and I'll alternate between a brightening mask and the Facial Treatment Mask - and definitely an eye mask. I'll put essence on in the morning and also over the makeup, because it sets it if you spray it on. Then I'll put the LXP range in the evening. If I'm on stage, I'll make sure I cleanse properly. So I use the Facial Treatment Oil.

It's all about layering. I used to think, 'Oh, do you really need a serum?' Your skin drinks in all these things and they work in combination. You can tailor a facial or adapt your skin care ritual according to the conditions that you're subjecting your skin to depending on the nature of the skin, the time of year, and how much you're out in the elements or in an enclosed environment."

Exfoliate Your Skin Daily

"The only thing SK-II doesn't make is an exfoliant, so I tend to use the Dermalogica one. I never used to exfoliate, but now that I do, I think it's a good thing to do regularly.

You can't treat a problem unless you get the top layer of dead skin off, and we're constantly covered in dead skin. So it's important to get it off.

I would exfoliate every day if I'm filming, because you spend the entire day in makeup. I just need to do it psychologically, as well (laughs), to end the day."

Don't Do Cosmetic Surgery Out of Fear

"I've seen incredible things done with people who had birthmarks and things that they had lasers remove, or they had a blemish or something that made them feel self-conscious and they had it lasered off. You always get asked this as an actress, as if you're meant to form a judgment on what other people do. If people want to do that stuff, that's their business, and I think the only way forward is to not judge each other so harshly.

For me personally, it's not a look I'm interested in, but if people want to do that, then that's fine. If you're doing it out of fear, then you've really got to get back to the source and say, 'What am I frightened of?' because we're all getting older. Do we know the long-term effects of using these things? That's what would worry me."

Use Face Oil to Stay Hydrated on a Plane

"I used to decant the Facial Treatment Essence in a spray bottle, but now they actually make one, so I take that. They make this beautiful product - it's a Facial Treatment Oil - which is really super hydrating. I'll take that and a mask. Even though it's very boring, just try to drink water."

Liquid Vitamins Are the Secret to Glowing Skin

"I just started taking these really great skin vitamins. It's called Aethern. I've never heard of it before, but someone recommended it to me. It's a liquid vitamin. I do think it's what you ingest. I've always been very big on my kids taking vitamins, but I often forget myself."

Take Probiotics For a Healthy Gut

"The health of your gut is really, really important. To help your gut, take a probiotic - that's a thing I take. Some people can eat pizza, and it's fine for them. Everybody's systems are different. Some people don't do well with red meat, and some people need red meat. It completely depends on your body type and your blood type. What I would say is good for everybody is taking a probiotic; if your gut is healthy, then you're more likely to have healthier skin."

Eliminate Coffee For Better Skin

"I find it very hard to be without coffee. Forget my skin care ritual - that's my wake-up ritual! I know when I don't have coffee my skin is much better."

Massage Your Face to Chill Out

"Life's very stressful - no matter what you do, no matter where you live. Particularly the world now is going to hell in a handbag. Do anything you can to help relieve that stress. For me, my luxury is having a massage. I'll always ask them to massage my face. Anything that increases the blood circulation to relax your face [is good], because we carry so much stress in our face. You can always tell when someone has either had sex or gone on a holiday, because their skin looks better and their face is relaxed."

This "Death Wish" Coffee Has Triple the Amount of Caffeine as Starbucks

Black Insomnia Coffee, self-described as "death wish coffee," claims that it makes the world's strongest coffee. If you get jittery from a Tall cup of Pike Place coffee from Starbucks, you might want to skip out on this brand, because it has triple the amount of caffeine. Made in Cape Town, South Africa, the coffee has 702 milligrams of caffeine in every 12-ounce cup (the same size as a Tall). For comparison, the daily recommended amount of caffeine is about 400 milligrams - and we're talking about almost double that about in just one cup. Black Insomina's mantra is #sleepingischeating for a reason.

Do you dare take the plunge and try this out for yourself? If you laugh in the face of decaf and can confidently say you could handle Black Insomnia, you can order a one-pound bag online for $19. There are also a handful of coffee shops in Cape Town that serve the coffee, such as Shift Espresso Bar and Ginja Beanz. The most caffeinated Starbucks beverage is the Nitro Cold Brew, which has so much caffeine that it's not allowed to be served in a Venti; but even that 20-ounce cup doesn't have nearly the same amount as the 12-ounce serving from Black Insomnia. I guess this is meant for those mornings when you need coffee in an IV, à la Lorelai Gilmore, right?

How Your Makeup Could Cause a Deadly Infection - and Ways to Prevent It

If you have the budget and the storage space to hoard beauty products to your heart's content, we say go for it . . . as long as you're responsibly keeping them clean. We don't mean occasionally dusting off their cases or wiping off any prominent fingerprints. We're talking sanitizing the formulas themselves. This is likely a step you've completely disregarded in the past (we have!), but proper hygiene is both imperative for your health and the shelf life of your favorite items.

We consulted Lijha Stewart, Make Up For Ever's director of education and artistry, on how to decontaminate every type of product in your stash to make sure they stay bacteria-free. (Remember, that bacteria could lead to breakouts or worse, deadly infections.) Once you master this process, learn when you should throw out old makeup out here.

Pressed Powders

Good news: all those limited-edition eye shadow palettes, bronzers, highlighters, and other pressed-powder formulas in your stash are safe. According to Stewart, these formulas don't hold any harmful bacteria and have an infinite shelf life. However, you still need to keep them hygienic. "The sanitary process is simple," she said via email. You can wipe with a tissue to remove the top layer." This will remove any contamination that's sitting on the very surface of the product, leaving the rest of it clean. Learn more about how to clean pressed powders here.

Cream Compacts

"Ninety-nine percent alcohol is best for sanitizing cream-based formulas," Stewart shared. She advises that you dip the exposed makeup directly into the alcohol, but if that is not possible due to bulky packaging, you can use a product like Beauty So Clean Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist ($16) to disinfect the formula without damaging it.

Lipstick

Just like other cream formulas, you should clean your lipsticks with alcohol. Wind up your lipstick bullet so most of it is exposed, then fully submerge the pigment in a small cup of alcohol for about 30 seconds. Once you remove the product from the cup, it will be completely bacteria-free.

Liquid Formulas

This category includes everything from lip gloss and mascara to foundation. Because these formulas are so hard to clean, Stewart doesn't recommend sharing them. "If you do share, don't 'double dip,' and instead use a disposable wand," she advised. (You can buy in bulk! You can snag 500 disposable mascara brushes on eBay for $36.) She added that liquid foundations should be pumped or squeezed out of their bottles before use. "Avoid using hands, which can transfer germs," she noted. Using a brush is ideal, but you can also get single-use sponges. We like this 40-piece pack of sponges from Make Up For Ever ($49).

Loose Powder

As long as you always use a clean brush or puff for these types of formulas, you're in the clear. Try spilling out what you need into the product's cap and working from there. This way, you avoid double-dipping your brush onto the packaging of the sifter, which can be hard to clean.

Each of Clarins's New Lip Oils Has an Awesome Secret Function!

We love mattes as much as the next junkie, but we're predicting that modern lip gloss will be coming back in style soon! Trends always go in cycles, replacing each other. Plus, after a few years of dehydrating our puckers, we need a break - something a bit more nourishing.

Clarins seems to be on the same page as us, since the French brand is released four new versions of its Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil. The additional shades each have a special function. Candy and Raspberry offer color-changing formulas that adjust to your PH; Mint cools and plumps; and Honey Glam is perfect the chicest, most subtle way to wear glitter.

The lip oils also have the coziest applicator we've tried yet. The oversize doe-foot is seriously soft and flexible, so you'll want to keep applying. But you likely won't need to, because hazelnut and jojoba oils will keep your lips glossy and moisturized.

While the glosses don't launch until June 2017 (for $26 each), you can get a sneak peek here - and learn all of the juicy details about each one!

Weed Flower Crowns Are the Dankest Music Festival Accessory This Season

Whether you're hoping to have the chillest music festival season of all time or are looking to celebrate 4/20 in style, organic cannabis grower Lowell Farms has a perfectly chic solution: marijuana flower crowns.

You can snag this stylish accessory exclusively during Coachella (which begins April 14 and ends April 23, beautifully straddling April 20). It's actually not available to buy on its own, though - it's a gift with purchase. Lowell Farms is selling a limited-edition Coachella Blend of prerolled joints for $55 (which includes Dog Walker, Single White Girl, Chocolate Hashberry, and Lenny OG) at Palm Springs Safe Access Dispensary, conveniently located 15 minutes away from the music festival. The first 12 patients to pick up their preorder of their Coachella joints will receive the above white rose and weed flower crown. And yes, it's smokeable - it boasts a quarter ounce (a $60 value!) of Single White Girl cannabis.

If you're not up to date on the local marijuana consumption laws, please note that you can only buy the joints (and receive the crown) if you have a verified doctor recommendation. You also can't wear the headpiece at the music festival, so either break the stems off - the crown will look perfectly wearable without them! - or wait to rock the accessory at your next private function. Keep reading to see more shots of this dank flower crown.

The Most Popular Kate Spade New York Accessories of All Time

Kate Spade New York is the brand behind some pretty iconic accessories. I'll never forget the yacht clutch my boyfriend's aunt secured ahead of her vacation cruise or the woven animal-shaped picnic baskets. The label's themed bags and jewels make for pretty fabulous street style moments, so it's no wonder you see them all over Fashion Week. If a statement item catches your eye, you can bet it's Kate Spade. So when we got the chance to talk to Deborah Lloyd, president and chief creative officer at the label, we had to ask her about her favorite pieces of all time.

This past New York Fashion Week, Deborah showed both Fall 2017 and Spring 2017, the latter a collection inspired by her travels to Morocco. Still, there are plenty more memorable accessories she can't get out of her head. Whether it was because they sold out instantly, cementing their status as must haves (who could forget that swan bag?), or were inspired by special memories, the accessories ahead all achieve Kate Spade's signature flair. In fact, Deborah thinks these are the best items ever made.
