While it's still unclear what led to their shocking breakup, keep reading to get all caught up on everything that has unfolded since then.

  1. Angelina files for divorce from Brad. The actress filed papers to end their marriage on Sept. 19, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting sole physical custody of their six children, Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, and twins Vivienne and Knox. She also asked the judge to grant Brad visitation rights.
  2. Angelina's attorney, Robert Offer, releases a statement on her behalf. After their divorce news grabbed headlines on Sept. 20, Angelina's attorney said her decision to divorce was made "for the health of the family," but did not answer any further questions.

"I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time," he said.
  4. More details about their divorce surface. In an exclusive report from Us Weekly, a source close to the pair revealed that "they fought a lot over the years and disagreed about many things. . . . The fighting got worse and they disagreed a lot about parenting." The insider also noted that they would also "fight over their schedules and politics."
  5. Angelina's manager, Geyer Kosinski, releases another statement on her behalf. Later that Tuesday, Angelina's manager told E! News, "Angelina will always do what's in the best interest of taking care of her family. She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time."
  6. Celebrities react to Brad and Angelina's shocking split. Once the news broke on Sept. 20, it didn't take very long for GIFs and memes to flood the internet. Stars also quickly chimed in, and Chrissy Teigen tweeted, "Brad and Angelina. How am I supposed to go to work today?" Meanwhile, their friend George Clooney found out about the breakup while attending the Leaders' Summit on Refugees at the United Nations. During an interview with CNN, a reporter asked him to comment on their split, to which he shockingly responded, "What happened? . . . I didn't know that. I feel very sorry then. That's a sad story and unfortunate for a family. It's an unfortunate story about a family. I feel very sorry to hear that." Adele also dedicated her NYC concert to the couple, telling the audience, "I need to address to elephant in the room . . . But it's the end of an era." More recently, Courteney Cox said the divorce is "not about" Jennifer Aniston, and Jen's husband, Justin Theroux, made a similar comment about her inclusion being "nonsense." Melissa Etheridge also chimed in, calling Angelina "nasty" and saying that the allegations of child abuse against Brad were "completely unfounded."

I'm ready." She then continued, "There are rumors that part of the problem was that Brad was allegedly drinking and smoking too much weed. I wonder why he would need to self-medicate? Maybe because he could have been spending the last 12 years at Lake Como hanging out with George Clooney and Matt Damon instead of being stuck in a house with 85 kids, speaking 15 different languages. Oh yeah, and because he married a f*cking lunatic, that's why."
  8. Marion Cotillard breaks her silence on Brad and Angelina's split. On Sept. 21, Marion took to Instagram to announce her pregnancy with longtime partner Guillaume Canet and shut down rumors that she had an affair with Brad in a lengthy post. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need . . . And to all the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment, I sincerely wish you a swift recovery. Finally, I do very much wish that Angelina and Brad, both of whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment."
  9. Brad is investigated for child abuse. On Sept. 22, People magazine reported that the actor was under investigation for child abuse by the Los Angeles Police Department and LA County Department of Children and Family Services after someone anonymously reported that he got "verbally abusive" and "physical" with one of his six children. The incident allegedly occurred on Sept. 14 on his and Angelina's private plane, where the rest of the kids, as well as Angelina, were also present. The report also suggests that he had been drinking at the time of the incident. Not long after the news broke, the LAPD denied the report with the statement: "We have no criminal investigation that we are actively pursuing. To my knowledge, [Pitt talking to police] never happened. And right now, that is where our office is. We are not investigating any case, nor do we have any allegations against Mr. Pitt. We understand how rumors get spun up and hopefully we can put a few of them to rest. We have no investigation involving Mr. Pitt." People later clarified that the DCFS is still investigating Brad for child abuse, but the LAPD has not been involved. TMZ has also further reported that the child abuse allegations have been transferred to the FBI.

A legal source confirmed that the test would not not be conducted against Brad's will, stating, "The DCFS [Department of Community & Family Services] wouldn't compel someone to provide the urine sample for the drug test; it would be voluntary."
  14. Angelina hires the real-life Olivia Pope for her divorce. On Sept. 29, People confirmed that the actress hired famous crisis manager Judy Smith, who inspired Kerry Washington's character in Scandal, to help with her divorce. "Judy has been asked to consult with those working with Angelina on divorce negotiations," a source told the magazine. "Judy and her firm have a long history of handling issues that have unfortunately garnered too much attention in the public eye, and she knows how to push towards resolutions that are swift and discreet."
  15. Brad and Angelina reach a temporary custody agreement. On Sept. 30, it was revealed that the former couple reached a temporary custody agreement, which will be in effect for three weeks before the LA County Department of Children and Family Services will draw up another arrangement or turn the jurisdiction over to the court. The agreement states that Angelina will get full physical custody of their children and Brad will have visitation rights, although hist first visit will be monitored by a therapist, who will determine if he is allowed to then have unsupervised time with the kids. Angelina and Brad also have to attend individual counseling as well as family counseling with the kids, and Brad has to take random drug and alcohol tests.
  16. Brad won't be prosecuted for alleged plane incident with Angelina and Maddox. On Oct. 8, it was reported that the FBI never opened an investigation against Brad because there was "no case," though TMZ says the FBI is still working on gathering all the facts from the incident.
  17. Brad sees his kids for the first time since announcing the split. E! News confirmed that Brad was able to visit some of his children on Oct. 8, with a therapist present to monitor his behavior. It's not clear which of the kids were present and which weren't, but a second source also told E! that the therapist would be present for all of Brad's visits through Oct. 20 and that the actor happily volunteered to complete drug and alcohol testing (even though it was not required).
  18. Maddox Jolie-Pitt refuses to attend the reunion with his dad. While Brad reportedly "wanted to make sure the meeting would be the most productive for the kids," Maddox refused to attend the family reunion and stay with Angelina. According to a source close to Angelina, "He chose not to go and stayed with Angie," adding, "It wasn't full of joy and happiness."
  19. Angelina and the children are reportedly interviewed by the FBI. In an attempt to get to the bottom of the alleged physical altercation that happened between Brad and Maddox on the plane, the FBI reportedly visited Angelina and the kids at their Malibu, CA, home on Oct. 19, according to TMZ. The investigators are looking into "whether there are additional incidents or a pattern that may suggest a history of abuse that involves more than one of Pitt and Angelina Jolie's six children." The investigation was initially scheduled to conclude on Oct. 20.
  24. Brad seeks joint custody. NBC News confirmed on Nov. 4 that the actor has filed for joint physical custody of the children. Angelina initially asked for sole custody when they first split, just allowing Brad visitation rights. Although that might have only been a part of the temporary custody agreement that was originally agreed to by a judge, the allegations made against Brad regarding child abuse certainly complicate things.
  25. Brad and Angelina reach another temporary custody agreement. On Nov. 7, Angelina's rep told ET in a statement that "childcare professionals have encouraged a legal agreement accepted and signed by both sides over a week ago." The agreement states that "the six children will stay in their mother's custody, and the children will continue therapeutic visits with their father . . . This has been determined by childcare professionals to be in the children's best interest." Her rep continued, "We are not in a position to discuss the details. We hope, now that it is clear that the events which led to the dissolution filing involved minor children and their wellbeing, there will be understanding of the sensitivity of the family situation. We believe that all sides are committed to healing the family and ask for your consideration during this difficult time."
  26. Brad has been cleared in child abuse investigation. On Nov. 9, law enforcement sources confirmed to Us Weekly that Brad did not abuse his son Maddox during a plane incident back in September. Later that day, Angelina's rep released a statement to TMZ, saying, "Angelina said from the beginning that she felt she had to take action for the health of the family and is relieved that after their eight-week involvement, the DCFS is now satisfied the safeguards are put in place that will allow the children to heal."
  27. The FBI closes Brad's child abuse investigation. On Nov. 22, the Allied actor was officially cleared by the FBI of any wrongdoing involving his kids, NBC News reported. No charges have been filed in this matter."
  28. Brad's lawyers file a motion asking a judge to seal the childrens' records as it relates to the divorce. On Dec. 22, news of the files were released, alleging that Angelina's attorneys compromised their privacy in a bid to "undercut" Brad during the custody battle. They added that Angelina releasing "the names of [the children's] therapists and other mental health professionals" violated their initial agreement to protect the children's privacy. "[She] appears to be determined to ignore even agreed upon standards relating to the children's best interest," the filing reads.
  29. Brad spends Christmas with his kids. According to Us Weekly, Brad saw his children over the holiday weekend for a gift exchange that Angelina organized. An insider told the publication that "[Brad] gave them presents and it was cordial."
  30. Angelina's lawyer slams Brad. According to TMZ, Angelina agreed to seal court documents related to their six children. The site also reports that the actress's lawyer filed legal documents that claim Brad only wants to keep the details private because he's "terrified that the public will learn the truth." "[Brad is trying to] deflect from [his] own role in the media storm which has engulfed the parties' children," the document reads. "There is little doubt that [Brad] would prefer to keep the entire case private, particularly given the detailed investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Dept. of Children and Family Services into allegation of abuse."
  31. Brad and Angelina release a joint statement. After agreeing to seal their divorce and custody documents, the actors' reps told Us Weekly, "The parties and their counsel have signed agreements to preserve the privacy rights of their children and family by keeping all court documents confidential and engaging a private judge to make any necessary legal decisions and to facilitate the expeditious resolution of any remaining issues. The parents are committed to act as a united front to effectuate recovery and reunification."
  32. Angelina opens up about her new family dynamic. During an interview with BBC World News in February, the actress was asked about the split by reporter Yalda Hakim. "I don't want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time," Angelina said. "We are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it. Many, many people find themselves in this situation. My whole, my family . . . we've all being through a difficult time. My focus is my children, our children . . . and my focus is finding this way through . . . I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer. It's been a difficult few months. Right now, I'm going through a moment when just everybody's in my room. Two dogs, two hamsters and two children at the moment. It's wonderful. But, usually, I just wake up trying to figure out who's going to get [the] dog out, who's going to start the pancakes and did anybody brush their teeth."
  33. Brad reportedly reaches out to ex Jennifer Aniston. Brad allegedly tracked down Jen's phone number through "a tangled web" of contacts in order to reach out to her on her 48th birthday in February. "They started talking once he wished her a happy birthday," a source told Us Weekly, further explaining that Brad has "confided in Jen" and "told her he's having a hard time with his split." His olive branch has supposedly led to them "exchanging a few texts reminiscing about the past." The insider also noted that "Justin is OK with them being friends," because he knows "Jen just wants to be nice."
  34. Brad and Angelina are talking again. According to US Weekly, the former couple is back on speaking terms. "They are in a place where they can put anger or hurt aside to focus on their children and how they plan to coparent." Brad also "lost a ton of weight" in the wake of their divorce, but it likely isn't all due to stress. "He's focusing on himself again, watching what he eats and has a chef making him healthy meals. He's exercising. He's been outdoors a lot, hiking and walking. He's had a lot of time to focus on himself," an insider revealed.

Why Season 7 of The Walking Dead Was Just Not That Great

We're officially done with the seventh season of The Walking Dead, and I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. Don't get me wrong - plenty of things happen in season seven. The episodes kick off by revealing Negan's two unlucky victims, and we just watch the death toll climb from there. We literally meet a tiger! And yet, for all the progress we've made since Negan's fateful introduction, I can't help but feel like we didn't go anywhere at all.

I'm just going to say it: The Walking Dead spends a lot of season seven wasting our time. Call it filler, call it lollygagging, call it whatever. The point is, season seven drags on. In the first half of the season, we become acquainted with the various new communities: we make our way through the Sanctuary, the Kingdom, and Oceanside. We endure inexplicably long episodes where Negan shows Carl around the Sanctuary or where he ambles around Alexandria. We watch a lot of people mourn for a long period of time. In the latter half of the season, Rick finally decides to fight back and begins assembling an army and plenty of weaponry. Finally, 16 episodes after Glenn and Abraham's deaths, the war begins.

There are a couple of things that made this season crawl at an excruciating pace. One is the show's baffling decision to feature just one story per episode. When it comes to such an exciting world, it's much more stimulating to jump around. Consider a masterful show like Game of Thrones: nearly every single episode hones in on anywhere from four to six different character arcs. This is dynamic, natural, and exciting. On The Walking Dead, we don't need to watch Rick and Michonne play house for one entire episode. We want to check in on as many people as possible.

And then there's something else to consider: is the show stalling so we don't catch up to the comic books quite as quickly? It seems to me that all of season seven could have easily been sliced in half. It makes much more sense, from a storytelling standpoint, for everyone to spend four episodes mourning and then four episodes preparing for war. By the midseason finale, all hell breaks loose. Imagine the payoff of watching the war play out over a dazzling set of eight episodes, taking over the second half of season seven. Instead, we spent 16 episodes sitting on our hands and waiting - waiting for Rick to get his sh*t together, waiting for Negan to smell something fishy, waiting for something to happen.

Sure, now it's war. In six long months, season eight will begin and the war will start in earnest. Even so, I still can't help but feel like season seven was a whole lot of nothing.

It's Not Too Late! 3 Ways to Attack Those New Year's Resolutions

So it's already April and you're slacking a little on keeping up with the New Year's resolutions you made in January. Heck, maybe you even ditched them by Jan. 2. It's OK! There are still nine more months left of the year to get back on track and follow through with those healthy goals. Just see this as a fresh new start, and do these three things to start feeling healthier and stronger.

  • 3's the magic number: If you haven't exercised much in 2017, today is the day to commit to a three-times-a-week workout schedule. Choose three days and a specific time on each day, and write it down on your calendar, just like you would any other important appointment. Working out at the same time each day will get you in the habit of actually doing it and makes it easier to add a day or two down the road. Maybe do Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6:30 a.m. before work. Do a video at home, meet some friends at a class, or use that gym membership you signed up for in January. Start off with 20 minutes to ease yourself into it, and be sure to include strength training at least twice a week.
  • 1 bowl of this a day: Your mom was right when she told you to eat your veggies. If you're looking to lose weight or just feel better and more energized, commit to eating one huge salad as a meal once a day. Whether it's for lunch or dinner, include protein and healthy fats with your greens to make your bowl more filling and well-balanced. Make this a cinch by crafting a week's worth of salads in mason jars at the beginning of the week, so all you need to do is grab a fork.
  • Get on the self-care train: While losing weight and eating healthier are probably the two most popular resolutions, making a commitment to care for your well-being should also be top on your list. So once a day, commit to doing something that makes you happy, makes you smile, makes you feel confident, proud, strong, creative, smart, grateful, or alive. Sing, dance, play an instrument, write in a journal, laugh with a friend, spend time with an animal, get outside, do some art, read, bake, or get 15 minutes of alone time. It'll recharge your energy levels, reduce stress, and greatly benefit your mental health.

The 12 Lessons You Learn as a Young Girl but Forget as a Mom

As the mom of a daughter, I often think about the big life lessons I want to teach her. In doing so, however, I've discovered that a lot of the important ones I learned as a young girl didn't necessarily make their way to womanhood. They got lost along the way, and now, as a mother, I'm having to relearn them alongside my child.

Here, some of the hallmark lessons I hope and pray she'll remember her whole life long.

1. Trust your instincts.
From a young age, your gut will steer you in a very clear direction. Listen to it. It's your intuition, and nine times out of 10, it's right on. As you get older, though, you might push back against your better judgment - often because someone is trying to sway you, pressure you into a different way of thinking. It's important you don't back down from what you believe in.

2. Take risks . . . but understand the consequences.
Don't be afraid to take a leap. Just be prepared for what happens if you fall.

3. Never let anyone tell you you can't do something.
You might not notice it now, but at some point in your life, you'll begin to think that there's just certain things you can't do - only boys are good at that, only rich kids can have those, only popular girls go there - and it'll quickly become the standard way of thinking if you let it. Don't ever base your actions on the approval of others. You alone call the shots on what you can do.

4. Love freely.
Hearts that don't break don't love. A flower will wither, a beloved pet will get sick, and someday "The One" might not stay. Keep loving just the same.

5. Love your body.
It's the only one you've got. Treat it with respect - feed it healthfully, and it'll grow just as it should. If it's not what you wanted, if someone else's body seems better, get over it.

6. Learning from mistakes is better than being smart.
Natural talent is incredible, it really is. But it's not necessary. Dedication and hard work will get you further in life, and the times you slip up will provide you with more opportunities to develop than when you simply get it right.

7. You can only do your best.
Yes, nothing is worth doing if you don't do your best. But also accept that there will be times when your best won't be good enough. You might try your hardest and still not succeed. Accept defeat, but don't let it keep you from trying again.

8. The world will change you if you let it.
It's no secret that the world is a difficult place. War, starvation, violence, hatred - they can harden the softest, most innocent of souls. Consider these trying times as defining moments, in which you are being tested. Will you let a persistent bully make you angry and afraid, or will you rise above and remember that the world can be a beautiful place, too?

9. Admit when you're wrong.
It can be frustrating to swallow your pride, but the simple words, "I'm sorry" - when expressed genuinely - can work wonders on a damaged friendship.

10. Crying doesn't make you weak.
Denying your emotions is the worst thing you can do, second only to holding on to pain for too long. If you need to cry, do it. Let it out, and then let it go.

11. Time can heal most wounds.
For those terrible things, when a good cry doesn't suffice, know that time - and with it, perspective - can work wonders. You must have patience and an ability to compartmentalize to get through each day. Just remember that some heartache will always stay with you, so you'll have to learn how to live with it.

12. Don't take others too personally . . . or yourself too seriously.
Try not to let criticisms tear you apart just as you shouldn't let compliments go to your head. Don't expect everyone to treat you the way you deserve to be treated. And as important as you are, don't assume that the world revolves around you. Your mother's world might, but she's the exception.

Leave It to Gigi Hadid to Make These Iconic Boots Work For Spring

Time and time again, Gigi Hadid has proven that she's earned her crown as reigning queen of street style. When the superstar was spotted leaving her New York City apartment on April 3, she basically just waltzed off her rightful throne. Donning an all-black ensemble, Gigi looked killer from head to toe. Although her bright Linda Farrow sunnies added a dazzling touch, we couldn't help but be especially drawn to her rugged boots.

Chunky black boots - during springtime? Yep, leave it to Gigi to rock them. Her three-strap Velcro boots are a cool pair of Dr. Martens, complete with the shoe brand's signature sturdy sole and all. Read on for a glimpse at Gigi's edgy look, followed by an up-close peek at her boots.

Breaking Down Melania Trump's Official Portrait Outfit, Sparkly Neck Tie and All

There are many style differences between Melania Trump and former First Lady Michelle Obama, but Melania makes that no more clear than in her her first official portrait, which was just released by the White House along with the following statement: "I am honored to serve in the role of First Lady, and look forward to working on behalf of the American people over the coming years."

While some Twitter commenters are calling out her 13-carat engagement ring, we are more focused on the detailing of her blazer. Melania nixed classic jewelry - Michelle Obama famously wore strands of pearls for both her portraits - for an embellished neck tie covered in sequins. The style update is notable and frankly pretty unmissable though Melania's outfit is black. (No one ignored the sleeveless silhouette of Michelle's LBD in 2009 either.)

Despite past scrutiny about first lady fashion choices, many people are noting that Nancy Reagan wore a pussy bow blouse in her signature red in 1981, a silhouette that Melania seems to favor that can even be considered modest. At the end of the day, Melania's neckerchief offers a glittering wink to remind us of her ties to the fashion industry.

10 Documentaries About Cults That Will Shock and Fascinate You

Over the past several decades, modern-day cults have become a phenomenon. Whether religious or spiritual, rich or poor, open or private, these groups usually have a few things in common: a morally questionable leader, mysterious goals and practices, and a body of members who strongly believe in their way of life. It's these things in particular that make these groups fascinating, but as interesting as cults may be, they can sometimes be dangerous, and even deadly.

For those who foster a curiosity about these groups, here are 10 documentaries that get to the bottom of life inside a cult. Note: Many of these groups wouldn't identify themselves as a "cult," but each group is categorized by some type of extreme belief system and/or way of life.

From a relationship she had when she first started out her career in 2007 to her long-term BFs, here's a look at Demi's love life.

1 Doctor Shares Why You Don't Need a Yearly Physical

You try your best to log eight hours of sleep each night, choose healthy food options when you can, and squeeze in a few hours of exercise each week. You're young, and you think you're generally healthy - and you probably are. But if you're like 44 million American adults, you visit a doctor every year, just to be sure.

According to a survey< from the Kaiser Family Foundation, a full 92 percent of Americans think that an annual physical is a cornerstone of general well-being, and around 62 percent report actually getting the check-up. But the ritualistic visit, which usually involves disrobing for a semi-arbitrary physical exam and giving away a few tubes of blood and urine, has been a point of controversy among medical professionals who question its utility.

The annual physical, or the periodic health evaluation, as it's more formally known in the medical literature, dates back to the early 1900's, when the life insurance industry mandated that policyholders get yearly health screenings. Despite a lack of evidence showing any benefit of these check-ups, private physicians began promoting them, and the American Medical Association officially endorsed the practice in 1922. But only fifty years later, major players in the medical community started expressing misgivings about the whole tradition, and in 1979, the Canadian Task Force on the Periodic Health Examination recommended that "the annual checkup, as practiced almost ritualistically for several decades in North America, be abandoned."

Then, in 2012, a major study published in the BMJ provided large-scale, concrete support for the elimination of yearly physicals. The findings: in the absence of symptoms, these check-ups don't prevent disease, reduce disease burden, or decrease overall mortality rates. Like most physicians, in light of these findings, I don't support the practice of yearly general health checks. In fact, the tests typically ordered during a yearly physical may actually do more harm than good. In asymptomatic people, any abnormality in a "routine" panel of laboratory tests has a high probability of being a false positive. Chasing these abnormalities (which are unlikely to be clinically significant) with follow-up tests can be expensive, anxiety-provoking, and may lead to invasive procedures, which have their own attendant risks.

But none of this is to say that you don't need to see a physician unless you're sick. It's critically important that you have a primary care doctor, and setting up a visit just to establish care with one is not only acceptable, but encouraged. If you do develop a health issue, you want to have someone on call with whom you've built at least a preliminary relationship, and who has already agreed to take part ownership of your health.

And although yearly physicals are unnecessary, there are times when you should see a doctor for routine screenings in the absence of any specific symptoms or concerns. For instance, the United States Preventative Services Task Force (USPSTF) recommends cervical cancer screening with pap smears every three years, and the American Heart Association recommends a comprehensive cardiovascular risk assessment every 3-5 years. You should therefore aim to see a physician who can perform these services (or can refer you to someone you will) roughly once every three years. After age 40, when some professional guidelines recommend every-other-year mammograms, women should start seeing a physician a bit more regularly.

Of course, if you're pregnant, have a chronic medical condition, are on a prescription drug regimen, or have been advised by your physician to come in more frequently - for any reason - you should ignore these suggestions in favor of what your physician recommends. High-quality preventive healthcare should be tailored to your specific needs. Bottom line: ask your doctor how frequently she wants to see you. Most likely, it won't be annually.

3 Things to Help You Have a Tighter and More Toned Tummy

If you're constantly doing crunches to get a six-pack, you may be going about things the wrong way. Along with fat-burning cardio, the best way to lose belly fat is through these three diet changes.

Eat These

Proven to reduce abdominal fat, MUFAs (monounsaturated fatty acids) should be a part of your daily diet, and you can find them in avocado, nuts and nut butters, seeds, and olive oil. Just be mindful of how much you eat since these are also high in calories. Blueberries are also proven to diminish belly fat, so make a point to throw them in your salads and smoothies. Some foods like pineapple contain an enzyme that helps ease digestion and banish bloat, making your belly look and feel flatter. High-fiber foods like pears, berries, veggies, beans, and whole grains have the same effect - plus they keep you feeling full longer, just like healthy fats. Feeling full keeps hunger at bay, so you crave less and eat less, reducing your total daily calorie intake which will reduce your overall body fat, including that extra bit around your middle.

Ditch These

Trans fat is a big no-no for your health in general, but also for your belly. It's found in many processed foods like granola bars, crackers, cookies, some peanut butter, and breads. If the list of ingredients includes partially hydrogenated oil, put it back on the shelf. Avoid processed foods, soda, and meats that are high in saturated fat. Try to limit sugar, simple carbs like bagels, and alcohol since these won't fill you up, so you'll end up eating extra calories you don't need. Also, steer clear of foods that personally cause you bloating like dairy products, sweeteners, or bread.

The Trifecta

You don't need to give up carbs and go all crazy with a protein-only diet. Instead, CrossFit competitor Christmas Abbott told us to embrace the macronutrient trifecta of proteins, complex carbs, and healthy fats to help reduce overall body fat, which will aid in reducing stubborn belly fat. Including all three in your meals will make you feel more satisfied so you end up consuming smaller portions. Plus, you'll feel fuller longer which helps you consume fewer total calories.

The Disney Channel Original Movie Moments You'll Never Forget

Back in the '90s and early 2000s, just about every tween tuned in for Disney Channel original movies like Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century and Wish Upon a Star. The TV movies - which you taped on VHS, of course - featured performances from a young Justin Timberlake, a teenage Katherine Heigl, plus a Lizzie McGuire-era Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan. Just for fun, get a blast from the past with a look at some of the most memorable moments from old-school Disney Channel original movies!

You Baby Can Jam Out to a Soothing Version of the Hamilton Soundtrack

Hamilton-lovers trying to get their babies to sleep, rejoice! Gone are the days of more traditional lullabies and nursery rhymes as Rockabye Baby just made an announcement that's music to our theater-loving ears: your baby can now listen to lullaby versions of the Hamilton soundtrack.

Featuring softened versions of the same catchy beats and melodies as the original soundtrack, the lullaby versions remove the lyrics (your child will have to wait to get those memorized), allowing your baby to totally zen out and fall asleep while still reaping the benefits of having Lin-Manuel Miranda's genius in their life.

So if you're feeling a little "Helpless" (sorry) when it comes to getting your little one to sleep, lay your baby down in their crib and play these sweet tunes for them. You can find the whole album on Spotify below (save it to your own library!) or you can purchase it on iTunes ($9) or Amazon ($8).

The Major Style Difference Between Melania Trump and Michelle Obama

Image Source: Getty / JEWEL SAMAD

When I woke up the morning after Election Day to find that Donald Trump would be the next president of the United States, I cried. Then I signed online and covered the latest Instagram trend: DIY crop tops made from an old pair of tights. Then, obviously, I cried some more. I had just witnessed one of the most heartbreaking and important elections in history, at least in my opinion. How did I muster the strength to write about a passing fashion trend on a day like that?

After that, it was admittedly hard to keep working. I talked to my sister, who also felt devastated, and I texted my boyfriend, who is one of those people who, political views aside, always reassures me I am worrying before I need to be. Then Hillary Clinton gave her concession speech wearing a purple-lapeled Ralph Lauren blazer, and instantly, I was inspired to write again. She was most likely wearing that shade because it was a blend of red and blue, the Republican and Democratic parties unifying right there on her outfit.

I don't think that Hillary's pantsuit was more important than the powerful words she spoke, a recognition of defeat but a promise she won't stop fighting for women, minorities, and our nation's progress. I do think that Hillary hammered her point home with that blazer, and in that moment, I felt it my duty to explain why. For the time it took me to crank out that post, my job had purpose again.

Every time I have written about Michelle Obama's dresses, since I began my career as a fashion editor, I have felt a sense of pride. It has been remarkable to track Michelle's style during her time in the White House, watching her thoughtfully support American designers with each appearance.

I don't think she started to wear Brandon Maxwell (he dressed her for the Singapore state dinner and for the cover of InStyle) because he was Lady Gaga's stylist. I don't think Michelle was trying to resonate with pop culture, but rather to rally behind new art and its artists.

With every outfit choice Michelle makes, she tells a story. Michelle rotates between her favorite London fashion houses when she's in the UK, and she wore a Narciso Rodriguez dress to meet with Melania Trump for the first time. First, because Rodriguez is a Cuban-American designer whose family came to the country before he made a name for himself; an immigrant's success story like those Michelle and the Obama administration have often championed. Second, I'm sure, for its color palette: a purple dress, again marrying blue and red, but with a fiery orange stripe, a blaring, shocking wink: "Melania, can you handle this?"

But Melania can handle this. She has been in the public eye for many years, and when CBS's Lesley Stahl stared her down during the Trump family's 60 Minutes interview, warning her that first ladies have been famously scrutinized and that they must present themselves "with not a hair out of place," Melania didn't bat an eyelash. Throughout the entirety of her husband's campaign, Melania wore a lineup of sophisticated looks that are nothing short of appropriate. They are what you'd call modern FLOTUS attire: well-tailored, modest, sleek, but with a bold twist thanks to an ultrasaturated color or a trendy sleeve. Her Inauguration wardrobe was no different.

These pieces got her noticed; some of those pieces sold out instantly, right after she debuted them. Melania possesses the allure of a first lady. It might even be more uniquely exciting that Melania has shopped for a handful of these looks herself and counts covetable designers like Roksanda, Gucci, and Antonio Berardi as her favorites. Time will tell whether fashion houses begin to dress her more and more - Hervé Pierre did for the Inaugural ball, and whether you were Democrat or Republican, it was hard to knock her elegant gown.

What I will miss, ultimately, is a lady like Michelle, and maybe even one like Hillary, who uses her clothes to tell a story or to convey a mood. Throughout her period in the White House, Michelle mixed high and low. She wore a J.Crew studded belt with a long Thom Browne plaid coat because it was fun and it felt right, and she was learning about what she liked.

Once she did, she selected designs that did all the right things: they flattered her figure by showing off her toned arms or they recognized the holiday season with the mixing of two festive colors. They purposefully showed support for certain cultures or countries. Michelle's outfits did not always look perfect. Sometimes her skirt blew up in the wind or she had to fight a hair out of place. But Michelle's outfits were fairly thought out, brave, bold, and irrefutably American. Melania, are you ready?

Cindy Crawford and Her Family Step Out in Style to Support Son Presley

Cindy Crawford attended the star-studded Daily Front Row Awards in LA on Sunday with husband Rande Gerber and their kids, 15-year-old daughter Kaia and 17-year-old son Presley. The brood was on hand to support Presley, who was the recipient of this year's emerging model award. "My whole family's so supportive of me. It's just so comforting to have them here," Presley told ET. "It's making everything a lot easier." Modeling certainly runs in Cindy's family, and Presley shared some advice he once got from his mom at the event. "Best piece of advice is, 'If you don't want to do something, don't do it,'" and "When it comes to walking, don't fall." The up-and-coming model also revealed that his love for the profession came about two years ago during a photo shoot with Kaia, adding, "I had so much fun. I kinda realized, 'Oh, maybe I can work with this.'"

The Crawford family has a lot to celebrate lately; in addition to Presley's honor, Kaia recently landed her first beauty campaign with Marc Jacobs. The campaign also features fellow models Sofia Mechetner and Dilia Martins, both of whom Kaia told Teen Vogue were very natural and fun to work with.

This Dad's Long-Winded April Fools' Prank Will Give You Heart Palpitations

He ded.

An Imgur gallery of text message screengrabs aptly captioned, "He ded," is making its rounds on the internet, giving mothers everywhere heart palpitations. Bobby, a dad to an adorable little boy, began an elaborate April Fools' prank on his wife with a few simple texts asking her how her night at work was going before transitioning into reminding her how much she loves and values him as a person, which clued her in to the fact that he somehow messed up.

It seems that the couple had a photo shoot planned with their son, so when Bobby told his wife that they'd need to reschedule, she started to get panicky. "Why do we need to reschedule the pictures, Bobby?" she asked him. "I swear to god, you better tell me," she adds, after he averts the question a second time.

By this point you'll really need to buckle up and hang on tight: he sends a photo of their little boy with a chunk of his hair shaved off. We won't give away the rest of the conversation (because it gets even crazier!), but we promise the whole conversation will have you simultaneously sweating bullets with this mama and laughing hysterically at Bobby (giving thanks that he isn't your partner, probably).

Our thoughts are with Bobby, as who knows what was unleashed on him when his wife got home from work.
