Molly Sims's New LA House Is Both Gorgeous and Kid Friendly
Molly Sims loves interior design so much that should could practically make a second career of it - but even this design-savvy model, actress, and mother-of-three knows when to call in reinforcements. Molly and her husband Scott Stuber purchased a half-finished home in the Pacific Palisades in 2015 and called on Dan Scotti of Dan Scotti Design to help them turn the under-construction property into a welcoming primary residence. They moved in this January and have just opened their doors to Architectural Digest. As the images ahead demonstrate, the completed property is a contemporary domestic masterpiece. "My designer Dan Scotti definitely pushed me to a more modern style, still beautiful, but more streamlined. I was building a home for a family, not for a girl who was single in her 30s like I had been for so long. I kind of needed to be pushed in another direction," Molly told the website. From the chic yet durable decor that can stand up to her young children to the dramatic kitchen to the numerous luxury amenities (movie theater, wine closet, etc.), we're sure you're going to love Molly's family home. Check out highlights ahead and get full design details on Architecturaldigest.com.
People Are a Bit Puzzled by the FBI's Tweet Honoring MLK
The FBI and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. were not, by any understanding of the word, friendly. So when the agency decided to commemorate King's assassination, which happened 49 years ago on April 4, by posting one of the activist's quotes on Twitter, people reacted accordingly: puzzled and prepared with clapbacks.
Today, on the anniversary of his assassination, the FBI honors the life, work, & commitment of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. to justice. http://pic.twitter.com/WZInYKQx2g
— FBI (@FBI) April 4, 2017
Social media users reminded the FBI that the bureau relentlessly spied on King, dedicated sparing resources to discrediting him, and even went so far as to encourage him toward suicide. Perhaps most egregiously, the FBI was also accused of being complicit in King's murder, and a jury agreed in a 1999 civil suit brought by Dr. King's family to recognize the existence of a conspiracy to murder the civil rights icon.
A few highlights of the best FBI burns are below.
why are you doing this, we all know how to access wikipedia https://t.co/FQwZF0Mtka

Hey, remember that time you got sued for facilitating the murder of #MLKJr & lost? https://t.co/LHsHjqtRma
- #ResistCapitalism (@Delo_Taylor) April 4, 2017
King might be 88 today if FBI had cared more about stopping white terrorists than telling a civil rights leader to kill himself. https://t.co/copCFFBdk9
- Tim Murphy (@timothypmurphy) April 4, 2017
um @FBI you literally spied on him, encouraged him to commit suicide, and were found in court to be involved in his assassination... https://t.co/Bi2F2bQ5qv
- hangry hangry hebrew (@SweetCuppinJake) April 4, 2017
The @FBI trying to honor MLK is like Trump trying to honor women. It's just weird and doesn't really match up.
- Metro Bloomin (@Federal_flashes) April 4, 2017
Hilariously, one Twitter user even pointed out that the quote attributed to Dr. King by the FBI was not even originally spoken him.
How to Dress For Easter, According to the Kardashian-Jenners
On Easter, some might think to wear sophisticated fit-and-flares or pastel tones, but the Kardashian-Jenners follow their own dress code. In 2015, the family famously stuck to a white color palette for a trip to church, but in 2016, the theme seemed to be "over the top." Khloé completed her outfit with a wide-brimmed hat, channeling Elvira Hancock from Scarface, while Kendall wore her signature strappy heels and Kourtney's Hermès bag conjured images of jelly beans.
We've slapped a few rules on these looks, providing a makeshift handbook should you want to dress like a Kardashian-Jenner on Easter. Whether you're going to a boozy holiday brunch, a Sunday ceremony, or a fancy dinner, the Kardashian-Jenners provide outfit inspiration to fit the bill. You've just got to be willing to take a little style risk . . .

42 Photos of Barack and Michelle Obama's Cutest Moments as America's First Couple

This Is How Chicken Breast Fits Into Your Daily Calorie and Macro Count
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are a staple in many refrigerators - as a lean source of protein, they are low in fat, are high in protein, and have zero carbohydrates, so they're an excellent food for weight loss. But do you know exactly what you're getting?
You might be surprised to know that a serving of chicken is considered to be three to four ounces, not the whole breast! And while a whole breast will vary in size, it's anywhere from double to triple the standard serving size. There's no harm in eating more chicken - if anything, you're getting way more protein! - but it's always good to know exactly what is going into your body.
Here's a look at the calories and macros of a four-ounce serving of boneless chicken breast, with and without skin. Keep in mind, the USDA recommends getting 5.5 ounces of meat or protein per day.
Serving Size | Calories | Fat (g) | Carbs (g) | Protein (g) |
---|---|---|---|---|
4 ounces, no skin | 130 | 3 | 0 | 26 |
4 ounces, with skin | 190 | 10 | 0 | 23 |

Jared Kushner Is Working at the White House - But Doing What, Exactly?
As reports broke of President Donald Trump's son-in-law-cum-Senior Adviser Jared Kushner traveling to Iraq at the request of an American general, questions abounded. Namely, what exactly is Kushner's role in the White House? What are his daily activities? And what (if any) experience does he bring to bear? Read on for some answers.
Is This Even Legal?
Officially, Jared Kushner's title is senior White House adviser. But it's already quite apparent that his job has some ambiguous responsibilities that are as wide-sweeping as they are unprecedented. Kushner's appointment itself was contested as possibly breaking an antinepotism law; despite it, his appointment has yet to be legally challenged, and he was sworn in on Jan. 23.
What Are His Responsibilities?
The 36-year-old real estate mogul has been tapped by Trump to lead various (and ostensibly unrelated) policy pushes. Officially, Kushner will lead an American effort to establish peace between Israel and Palestine - yet even that position is clouded in doubt; Kushner is an Orthodox Jew with zero diplomatic experience and has strong ties to Israel that are both personal and religious.
According to CNN, Kushner's authority permeates through almost every branch of government. Since officially joining the Trump administration, Kushner has reportedly taken on a role in negotiating trade deals with China, reopening productive trade conversations with China, leading a push for bureaucratic innovation, and reforming the criminal justice system.
Kushner's role is so influential, The Washington Post even referred to him as a "shadow secretary of state" after he organized meetings between the United States and Mexico through "back-channels."
Does He Have Relevant Experience?
Despite his inexperience in government and litany of potential conflicts of interests, Kushner seems to have assumed responsibility for roles that are, indeed, typically left to the secretary of state and, in some cases, the president himself.
Relatively speaking, Kushner has almost no background in foreign relations. After graduating from Harvard (where his father, a wealthy and known Democratic donor, reportedly gifted the school with $2.5 million), Kushner inherited a commercial real estate empire from his father. Kushner also bought The New York Observer when he was just 25 years old in 2008.
Beyond buying and selling buildings and the occasional publication, Kushner's government experience closely aligns with the president's: zero to none.

We Have a First Look at Giada De Laurentiis's New Italian Cookbook!
Giada De Laurentiis is coming out with a new cookbook! Giada's ninth cookbook will be all about going back to her roots and sharing recipes that pay homage to her Italian heritage. Due out in Spring 2018, the cookbook is in the works now, and Giada is hard at work recipe developing and sharing photos with her fans along the way. Giada shared the following excerpt with POPSUGAR, which will also go out in the newsletter for Giadzy, Giada's new lifestyle website.
"Phew! What a busy week it's been! I've been cooking up a storm all week testing new recipes and shooting for my next cookbook. Let me tell you, cooking 73 recipes in 6 days is no joke - and that's not even all of them! Luckily, Jade was happy to lend a hand as my unofficial taste tester, especially when the desserts rolled around. Brownies are her favorite right now, so between those and the brownie ice cream cake, she was a happy camper. And needless to say, we have plenty of tasty leftovers to feed friends and family for weeks to come too!
Since I can't keep it a secret any longer, I'm excited to let you in on a few of the details now! The book will be an homage to my grandfather's Italy, featuring lots of super traditional recipes and lifestyle secrets he would have loved. That's right, I'm toning down my inner California girl on this project - but just for a while! The next stop will be a trip to Italy to this Spring, where we'll meet up with my mother and family who live there. We'll cook together, explore the city and the places that make Italian food so special. Together with the recipes we've just wrapped, I hope it'll give you a full picture of the country that's such an important part of who I am. The book won't be out until next Spring, so if you want to follow along in the meantime, I'll be sharing plenty of photos on Instagram from our trip. Hope you'll join me!"
While there's no cookbook title yet, it's clear that this book will be at the top of every Italian-food-lover's wish list. Plus, Giada's cooking show Giada in Italy returns to Food Network on Sunday, April 9, so fans can get their Italian fix there, too. Ahead, check out some behind-the-scenes photos from Giada's Instagram story that she shared with POPSUGAR.

Charlotte of Monaco's White Gown Is Ladylike, but Not So Simple
When Charlotte Casiraghi of Monaco makes an appearance, you better believe she knocks our socks off with her effortless, experimental style. Daughter of the princess of Hanover, Charlotte is quite the fashion insider, seeing as she's pals with designer Stella McCartney and is Karl Lagerfeld's go-to muse. Oh, and did we mention she's also the granddaughter of ultraglam actress Grace Kelly? Yeah, this gal's got it goin' on.
The 30-year-old royal recently stepped out for the Montblanc & UNICEF Gala Dinner in New York City and naturally stole the show with her outfit. At first glance, her ankle-length white gown looks undeniably chic and modest, but a closer look reveals a collection of eye-catching details you definitely don't want to miss. Her entire Giambattista Valli number is covered with simple accents that resemble squiggly lines for an added pop of texture that's especially noticeable on the sheer sleeves. At the waist, her gown has not one, but two thin, bow-adorned bands that match her shoes.
Ahead, see her eye-catching, ladylike dress in all its glory, along with the stylish cover-up she added after the event.

An Open Letter to Anyone Considering a Unique Name For Their Baby
Dear parents considering a unique name for their child:
My name is Alessia, nice to meet you.
Chances are, you just saw my name and either stopped to read it again, you tried to sound it out but were definitely unsure of yourself, or maybe, because of the recent fame of pop star Alessia Cara, you knew exactly how to read and pronounce it (though I'm not too optimistic about that).
My name, which is actually fairly common in Italy, where my family is from, is not common at all in the US. I like having a name that reflects my cultural heritage and reinforces a sense of identity, as many others do, but parents who may be considering a complex name - especially one that's purely to be trendy or unique - should know that doing so could come with consequences they don't even realize.
I'm 26 years old and I can probably count on two hands the number of times a person has gotten the pronunciation of my name right on the first go - a surprising minority, considering it has the word "less" right in it. Whenever someone does get it right, my jaw drops, because these moments are few and very far between - I often consider hugging the person for making me feel so normal. But the other 99 percent of the time, people get my name wrong.
Your name goes hand in hand with your identity, and when it's consistently messed up, it makes you feel less validated.
Over the years, I've made it a habit to introduce myself to people by saying my name slowly - careful to enunciate all four syllables - only to have them repeat something totally incorrect back. After the initial correction, I usually get an "I'm so sorry!" or "That's such a beautiful name!" in response. But that doesn't help the situation much, especially when not long after that they make another unsuccessful attempt at my moniker.
I know what you're thinking . . . what's the big deal, right? The big deal is that your name goes hand in hand with your identity, and when it is consistently messed up, it makes you feel less and less validated as a person.
When I was younger, I'd dread the first day of school, knowing that I'd have to correct my teacher in front of the entire class when they inevitably mispronounced my name off the roster.
When I was a soccer player, I had to listen to my coach call me Alicia for years because eventually my correcting him became pointless.
When I graduated from college, my name was butchered - and thanks to bad acoustics, echoed several times - in front of thousands of people (including my parents who named me).
When interviewing for jobs, I worried about being dismissed in the first few seconds of the interview because I had to correct a potential employer after they read my name incorrectly off my résumé.
All of these incidents gave me social anxiety, made me feel like my feelings didn't matter, and put dampers on some of the most important moments of my life.
If someone mispronounces my name, can't remember it because it's less common than Emily or Nicole, or decides on the spot that instead of making an effort to get it right they'll come up with a nickname, that totally sucks. I don't want you to call me a variation of my first name that I didn't offer or refer to me by my last name - I want you to use my actual name, because that's what I introduce myself as.
Being called by your actual name is the smallest courtesy that a person shouldn't have to ask for.
Being called by your actual name is the smallest courtesy that a person shouldn't have to ask for.
As someone who often writes posts full of unique, differently spelled, and modern baby names, I totally understand the appeal of choosing a name for your child that isn't mainstream. Do I envy those with common names who have to go by Kate S. or "red-headed Sarah" because there are so many people sharing the same moniker? No - it's nice to have a name that isn't so ubiquitous.
One of my favorite bloggers wrote something about choosing her daughter's name a few years ago that really stood out to me:
My favorite girl's name over the past couple of years has been Soleil. I love the sound of it, I love the spelling of it, I love the meaning of it. But after running it by my friends and realizing not everyone immediately knew how to pronounce it, I decided it would be far better suited as a middle name. Luckily, John's favorite name, Briar, complemented Soleil perfectly. The name Briar was unique; it felt modern and classic at the same time. It was unlike anything we had ever heard before, but not so outlandish that it would haunt her forever.
I remember reading this post and thinking, "YES. She gets it! They get it! They're parents of the year!" They chose a name for their little girl that I've never come across in my own personal connections, but there is literally no question in my mind that anyone who reads it will be able to do so without fudging it up.
So please, when you're considering a unique name for your baby, think ahead. Is the name spelled phonetically and easy to read? Can people understand it after hearing you say it once? If you speak it out loud, would most people know how to write it out without asking you how?
These may seem like tiny, inconsequential details, but I cannot stress enough how these incidents build up and drive a person crazy over time. If you still choose to go unique with your baby's name, godspeed. Hopefully your child owns their name better than I have.
But you've been warned.
Signed,
Alessia (which, for the love of god, is pronounced uh-LESS-ee-uh)

13 Sweet, Heartbreaking Things William and Harry Have Said About Princess Diana
Princess Diana and Harry with William on his first day at Eton in September 1995.
It's been nearly 20 years since Princess Diana's tragic death, and the anniversary has brought a renewed interest in her extraordinary (and sometimes scandalous) life as a royal. When Diana passed away in a car accident in August 1997, she left behind her two sons, William and Harry, who were 15 and 12, respectively, at the time. The princes have begun opening up about their mother's death in recent years and have admitted that it took time for them to feel comfortable talking about the huge loss. William told a young boy at a charity event that he was "very angry" about Diana's death and "found it very difficult to talk about."
In addition to speaking about their mother in interviews, William and Harry have taken on a number of her charities and both consider her legacy as one of the driving forces behind their philanthropic efforts. Recently, William bonded with young children who have lost their own parents, telling a little girl, "I lost my mummy when I was young, too. It's very important to talk about it." He and Harry are also erecting a memorial statue in the public gardens of Kensington Palace this year to commemorate her death and her positive impact in the UK and around the world. See more of the sweet, heartbreaking things that Harry and William have said about their late mum.

Prince William
- "Time makes it easier. I still miss my mother every day - and it's 20 years after she died."
- "Twenty-one years ago, my mother attended the launch of the Child Bereavement charity. Fifteen years later, I was honored to be invited to become patron of Child Bereavement UK to continue my mother's commitment to a charity which is very dear to me. What my mother recognized back then, and what I understand now, is that grief is the most painful experience that any child or parent can endure."
- "I never realized quite how much of an impact she had. I applaud her for all her dedication and drive, and I think the infectious enthusiasm and all the energy she had really rubbed off on me for causes such as [AIDS research in Africa]."
- "Initially, there is a sense of profound shock and disbelief that this could ever happen to you. Real grief often does not hit home until much later. For many it is a grief never entirely lost. Life is altered as you know it, and not a day goes past without you thinking about the one you have lost. I know that over time it is possible to learn to live with what has happened and, with the passing of years, to retain or rediscover cherished memories."
- "Losing a close family member is one of the hardest experiences that anyone can ever endure. Never being able to say the word 'Mummy' again in your life sounds like a small thing. I too have felt - and still feel - the emptiness on such a day as Mother's Day."
Prince Harry
- "I never really dealt with what had actually happened. So there was a lot of buried emotion, and I still didn't even want to think about it."
- "I really regret not talking about it. It is OK to suffer, but as long as you talk about it. It is not a weakness. Weakness is having a problem and not recognizing it and not solving that problem."
- "It's a huge shame she's not here. But I hope she'd be incredibly proud of what we managed to achieve."
- "I first came [to Africa] in 1997, straight after my mum died. My dad told my brother and me to pack our bags - we were going to Africa to get away from it all."
- "We will do everything we can to make sure she's never forgotten, and carry on all of the special gifts and such that she had and that she portrayed when she was alive. I hope that a lot of my mother's talents are shown in the work that I do."
- "I hope she's looking down [at our family] with tears in her eyes being incredibly proud of what we've established. I'm sure she's longing for me to have kids so she can be a grandmother again . . . but I hope that everything we do privately and officially, that it makes her proud."
- "Losing your mother at such a young age does end up shaping your life massively, of course it does. And now I find myself trying to be there and give advice to other people who are in similar positions."
- "Every day, depending on what I'm doing, I wonder what it would be like if she was here, and what she would say, and how she would be making everybody else laugh. Who knows what the situation would be, what the world would be like, if she were still around."

13 Books to Read If You Loved 13 Reasons Why
Netflix's newest original series, 13 Reasons Why, follows Clay Jensen, a high school student who is given 13 audiotapes from his best friend, Hannah Baker, that explain why she chose to kill herself. As he listens to the tapes, he uncovers shocking secrets about Hannah and his other classmates. The show, which features Selena Gomez as an executive producer, is based off of Jay Asher's 2007 YA novel of the same name. The narrative delves into complex issues such as bullying, sexual assault, suicide, betrayal, and more. For similar stories, check out these other captivating novels.
Lose Yourself in 13 Reasons Why's Brilliant, Haunting Soundtrack
For much of 13 Reasons Why, Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) spends his time walking around the halls of his high school with a pair of headphones and a cassette player, listening to the 13 tapes left behind by Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), a former classmate who had committed suicide a few weeks earlier. After finishing the series, the first thing we wanted to do was reach for our own headphones, because the show's soundtrack could not be more perfect. With a great mix of indie hits (like Lord Huron's "The Night We Met," which plays at the school dance), pop covers (Selena Gomez's "Only You"), and vintage classics (get ready for The Cure and Joy Division), the dark drama becomes that much more hauntingly memorable. Minnette actually picked out many of the tracks himself, so you have him to thank while you enjoy the next 36 songs.

Demi Lovato Spills Details on Camp Rock 3, the Raunchy Disney Movie We Need!
Anyone who grew up watching Disney Channel movies can attest to the pure greatness that was Camp Rock. Now that we're all grown up and we've moved on from our obsession with Joe Jonas's sweeping parted haircut, it's time to talk about the future: a racy, R-rated Camp Rock 3, and Demi Lovato is all about it. She recently stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she talked about getting back together with the Jonas Brothers for an adult version of their hit Disney movie.
"We want to come out with an R-rated Camp Rock 3," Demi told the crowd. "All of our fans have now grown up, and so anybody that watched Camp Rock is now older and can appreciate an American Pie version."
Ellen asked if there would be cursing in the alleged movie, and Demi wasted no time saying yes, which brought them to a very scandalous cursing game of "5 Second Rule." While it's unknown if the movie will actually happen, our inner Disney fan is freaking out over a raunchy American Pie version of one of our childhood favorites, and we already know that Joe Jonas is down! This one time, at Camp Rock . . .

John Cena Reveals the Meaning Behind Nikki Bella's 4.5-Carat Engagement Ring
John Cena proposed to longtime partner Nikki Bella in front of thousands of fans at Wrestlemania 33 over the weekend. Not only was the proposal as over the top as their relationship, but the WWE superstar popped the question with an engagement ring big enough to ice skate on. In a video posted to The Bella Twins YouTube on Tuesday, John explained the meaning behind the extravagant 4.5-carat Tiffany & Co. bauble. "The ring represents our entire relationship up until this point," he explained. "As with everything that we do for each other, there's always meaning behind it."
John and Nikki began dating in 2012 after meeting through the WWE. Their relationship started out as a friendship but quickly turned into romance after John asked Nikki to have dinner with him. During an interview with the Today show this week, John revealed that he'd been planning the moment for "a long, long time," despite his previous protests against marriage.
28 Pictures That Prove Zoë Kravitz Had No Choice but to Be Ridiculously Good Looking
It goes without saying that Zoë Kravitz is probably one of the most genetically blessed women in Hollywood - as the only daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, 28-year-old Zoë not only inherited her parents' good looks, but also their talent (and while she's not technically related to her stepdad, Jason Momoa, Zoë still shares his edgy sense of style and taste in tattoos). She's risen to fame both on screen in films like Mad Max: Fury Road, Dope, and the Divergent series and also showcases her musical prowess on stage with her band, Lolawolf. If that wasn't cool enough, Zoë also surrounds herself with ultracool, high-profile fashion designers and fellow starlets and has dated hot celebrity guys like Penn Badgley, Chris Pine, Drake, and her current beau, Karl Glusman.
Lenny and Lisa were married from 1987 to 1993, but despite splitting, they've remained some of the most amicable exes ever. They are regularly spotted on outings around LA and even attended the Met Gala together in 2015 - and of course, they can also be counted on to link up to support Zoë at her concerts and movie premieres. We've rounded up the best photos of Zoë and her parents, just in case you needed further proof that her laid-back, rocker-cool attitude and stunning good looks don't fall far from the tree. Why a Flight Attendant Asked a Mom With a Screaming Baby to Move
One mom was pretty much living the fear of every parent who has ever traveled alone with kids on a recent Southwest flight. She was with her two young girls when according to a neighbor sitting nearby, her baby burst into a major meltdown. No matter what the mom did, she just couldn't console her baby or put an end to the "very loud" crying fit.
Carrie Jaboor was seated behind the mom and watched as an airline employee walked up to the mom and asked calmly asked her to come to the back of the plane. However when she turned around, the exchange was the complete opposite of what she expected. "I looked back and saw him blowing bubbles for the little girl until she stopped crying as he was also giving tissues to the mother and consoling her as she was crying too," Carrie shared with the Love What Matters Facebook page. "There are some seriously kind people in this world."
Although some could have been more than a bit annoyed by the child's crying, this kind flight attendant didn't blame the mom and instead showed compassion to both the parent and her child.

Manny MUA and Jeffree Star Are Getting Sued Over Their New Collab - Here's Why
The highly anticipated collaboration between makeup vloggers Jeffree Star and Manny MUA just experienced a major hiccup: the duo is getting sued. On April 4, a lawsuit was filed against the pair for trademark and copyright infringement on behalf of Black Moon Cosmetics by MacArthur Law Firm. Black Moon Cosmetics is seeking an end to the sales of their products as well as damages and paying for attorney fees.
Black Moon Cosmetics launched in 2015 with a holographic moon logo that looks similar to the holographic moon on Jeffree Star and Manny MUA's new collaboration. In the lawsuit, representatives of Black Moon state that it was the first company to use a holographic moon on a black background on cosmetic packaging and claims that Manny MUA had contacted Black Moon and communicated his admiration of the packaging via a direct message on Instagram saying "absolutely loveeeeee your packaging!"
The lawsuit goes on to state that four months later, Manny MUA first used a similar-looking holographic crescent moon on a black background on his own product packaging. This isn't the first time that Manny MUA has used a comparable logo on packaging. In 2016, the vlogger collaborated with Makeup Geek on an eye shadow palette that featured a holographic crescent moon as well.
Black Moon claims that the vloggers produced packaging for their collaboration with the knowledge that it looks similar to Black Moon's products. Black Moon states that the vloggers' collection is likely to cause confusion with items from Black Moon's company when it launches on April 8. In a statement on MacArthur Law Firm's website, the firm has included a link to screenshots showing comments on an Instagram photo of the collaboration from consumers pointing out the similarities between the logos.
It's unclear if the lawsuit will delay the launch of the collaboration, and neither of the vloggers have issued a statement. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
