Pregnant? The 1 Thing You Must Do Right Now

When I was pregnant, there were plenty of things I made sure to do before the baby arrived, whether it was going on a date night or sleeping past 10 a.m. (Though, warning: sleeping past 7 a.m. will soon feel indulgent.) But one thing I didn't do enough of was leave. Just leave.

If you are pregnant and reading this, just stand up and walk out your front door. Right now. Just walk through that door, and close it behind you. Bring a wallet, or not. Take or leave your cell phone, I don't care. Just leave and don't come back for, say, 20 minutes. Go ahead, I'll wait.

Back? OK. That, my friends, is something you'll never take for granted again.

You see, the other day, I was taking some "me time" and spending about 45 luxurious seconds going to the bathroom when I pulled off the last of the toilet paper roll. It was of course only then that I realized I'd forgotten to buy more the last time I was at the store. No big deal, I'll just run out and grab some. Let me briefly explain what "run out and grab some" means, in minutes, to a new mom:

  • 6 minutes: Pack up the diaper bag. It's a short trip, sure, but you've learned the hard way to be prepared.
  • 2 minutes: Brush your teeth. So what if it's past 11 a.m. and you still haven't done that yet? Don't bother with makeup. It's only a TP run, after all. It's not like you are buying actual groceries and thus need to break out the mascara and lip gloss.
  • 20 minutes: Feed baby. It's been a while since she ate, and you don't want to be dealing with a fussy baby the minute you step outside.
  • 3 minutes: Burp baby. Easy peasy!
  • 4 minutes: Change baby's outfit. Not for sartorial purposes, but because that burp just came with a side of spit up. A lot of spit up. While you're at it, you might want to change your shirt, too.
  • 5 minutes: Change baby's diaper. That smell you were trying to ignore during the outfit change isn't getting any better.
  • 1 minute: Check the weather. Looks like baby needs a hat.
  • 1 minute: Find a hat.
  • 4 minutes: Strap baby into car seat. Keep in mind, you aren't anywhere near the car yet.
  • 2 minutes: Grab your purse and keys and diaper bag and car seat and head for the door.
  • 2 minutes: Pee. All this moving around has you needing to go to the bathroom again. Halfway through, you realize the reason for all this: you are out of toilet paper.
  • 1 minute: Look for a tissue, paper towel, baby wipe, anything. Maybe you don't need toilet paper after all?
  • 2 minutes: Grab everything again and head out the door for real this time.

So, 53 minutes later I was finally "running out." It took me nearly an hour to leave the house, and keep in mind that I was still in sweatpants, sneakers, and a ratty ponytail. (Truth: I realized right after I got outside that I forgot to put on deodorant but refused to turn back.)

The lesson here? I never realized how easy it was just to walk out the door before I had a baby. If I could go back in time, I'd tell my pregnant self to just get up - no matter how swollen my feet were - and leave. I'd tell her to enjoy the freedom of being able to decide to leave and actually leave within the same minute.

So, every now and then, just stop what you are doing and go for a walk around the block. Go grab a manicure. Go run to the bodega for a bag of Skittles. Go anywhere. Soon enough you'll have one major (albeit adorable) obstacle between you and the front door.

4 Exciting Tidbits Debra Messing Just Revealed About the Will & Grace Revival

When the cast of Will & Grace reunited for a sketch supporting Hillary Clinton, it was the first time Debra Messing had been the same room with all three of her former costars - Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally - in over 10 years. For any fan of the long-running sitcom, that fact might be hard to believe (you're telling me Karen Walker and Jack McFarland don't hang out every day?!), but it's also the reason NBC's upcoming revival of the series is going to be that much sweeter. As fans of the show might remember, the eighth season finale ends with a pretty massive time jump, which sees Grace and Will reuniting in 2026 after years of feuding, but ends on a happy, hopeful note. How will the reboot continue their story?

With information about the show being kept extremely close to the vest, we recently sat down with Messing at an event to celebrate the Dirty Dancing actress's exciting new partnership with CoolSculpting, which she credits with giving her a massive boost of self-confidence just in time for filming Will & Grace. Although she hasn't seen scripts for the show just yet (it doesn't start filming until August), Messing revealed a few choice details about everything from what it's really like on set to how she feels about introducing Grace Adler's story to a whole new generation.

1. Season nine will tackle the time jump ASAP.

"The amount of time that's passed will be addressed very quickly. I don't know exactly how, but it will be addressed. It will start in present day, and then we're off to the races."

2. The jokes will be just as bold as you remember (and probably aimed at Donald Trump).

"It's the classic Will & Grace where the objective is to make you laugh, but also we were known for being edgy, progressive, and for shining a light on every aspect of our culture. Politics, pop culture . . . everything is going to be fodder for comedy. Obviously because of what's going on in our country right now, we felt the need to laugh, so we also wanted to make other people laugh."

3. It's staying true to its sitcom roots.

"Will & Grace was an old-school comedy. It was a four-camera comedy, and there aren't a ton of those left. It's a classic show, so it'll be great to sort of introduce a whole new generation of people to it so they can go back and discover everything that we've done before. I hope that we can make people laugh out loud. Also, I'm excited for them to see the power of storytelling. That was the thing that was so gratifying about doing the show originally, because storytelling is a very important tool. It educates and pushes boundaries and raises questions about what you believe and what's important to you. I look forward to doing that again. "

4. And yes, the cast adores each other.

"[Being back on set] really feels like coming home. We got together for the 10-minute election skit, and it was the first time the four of us were together in 11 years. We've been together in different configurations, but we've all been so busy with wildly different things all over the world, so the opportunity of us all being in one place just didn't come up. And then here we were, just standing on our set, and we all looked around at each other in stunned silence, and then we just started giggling. I was like, 'Oh my God, this is incredible.' I know it's going to be daily laughs again, which was the thing that was so beautiful about the job for eight years. Eric [McCormack] says, 'It's like riding a very old bike.'"

13 Reasons Why: Here's the Guy Who Plays Your Crush, Jeff

13 Reasons Why has one of the strongest young ensemble casts we've seen in years. Katherine Langford and Dylan Minnette are the leads, Hannah and Clay, and they're surrounded by about a dozen high school students, each with their own story. One of the only relatively pure characters in the series - since just about everyone seems to have committed some mild-to-heinous act that pushes Hannah closer to suicide - is Jeff Atkins. He's the jock who Clay tutors in the library, and Jeff helps him with his dating life.

Jeff is played by 22-year-old Brandon Larracuente, who you may recognize from another Netflix drama: Bloodline. Larracuente starred in both season one and two as Ben Rayburn, John and Diana's son.

The New York-born actor has had a handful of small roles over the past few years (like "Attentive Kid" in Max Steel), but that's about it. You can catch him in Baywatch this Summer, if you're eagle-eyed enough to spot him as "Skateboarder #1." He also has a bit part in Bright, Netflix's upcoming thriller starring Will Smith. At this point, it's safe to say Larracuente is an integral part of the Netflix family!

23 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Love It or List It's Hilary & David

If you've ever caught an episode of HGTV's Love It or List It, then you know the chemistry between hosts David Visentin and Hilary Farr is something to behold. No, they're not married - but the duo have an epic banter that clearly shows how comfortable they are in each other's company! Their back-and-forth is on display every Monday, when their show airs at 9 p.m.

We recently caught up with David and Hilary during a break from their work on the series. The result of our conversation with the pair is a list of 23 amazing facts every true HGTV fan needs to know.

Scarlett Johansson on Ivanka Trump's Political Strategy: "Screw That"

Scarlett Johansson may have mocked Ivanka Trump's involvement in politics during a funny Saturday Night Live skit, but the actress is clearly taking Trump seriously. At the Women in the World Summit on Thursday, April 6, Johansson sat down with Arianna Huffington to discuss Trump's recent interview, where she addressed claims that she's "complicit" in her father's agenda - and the actress had some strong opinions on those comments.

In Trump's interview with Gayle King, she addressed the fact that just because she does not take to social media to discuss every political issue does not mean she doesn't care. Trump said that the public now knows her as the official assistant to the president, but said, "I think most of the impact I have, over time, most people will not actually know about." It seems that's what really irked Johansson about the interview.

"If you take a job as a public advocate, then you must advocate publicly," Johansson said. "And yesterday, she said something which I found particularly disappointing. She said the biggest influence she could have or change that she could make would actually be behind closed doors, so nobody would actually know that she made this change. I thought to myself, 'Well, that's empowering,'" Johansson said sarcastically.

Johansson continued: "Powerful women are so concerned they're going to be seen in this unflattering light. It's such an old-fashioned concept that to be a powerful woman you can't appear to be concerned [with appearances]. Screw that. It's so old-fashioned, it's so uninspired, and actually really cowardly."

Watch Johansson's interview above, and then, check out what she says about her potential future in politics below.

Say Goodbye to Boring Wedding Favors - This Fun Option Lets Your Guests Choose

It can be hard to find a wedding favor your guests will actually use. With so many different attendees with varying tastes and styles, how do you choose just one thank-you gift for everyone? Stuffing welcome bags isn't the most efficient option, either. If you want people leaving with something they won't immediately toss, consider gifting lounges. They're less work for you and more fun for your guests.

Etsy's Trend Preview based on the The Knot's 2016 Real Weddings Study discovered a shift toward investing more on fewer guests. In line with this idea, gifting lounges allow guests to choose their own goodies from a curated selection. Guests can fill a personalized tote or other container with items from the spread, which can include custom treats, favors that align with the wedding theme, or any other memorable items - the possibilities are endless. It makes the guest experience more personalized and helps ensure that they're leaving with what they want.

With the ease of this wedding favor alternative, we wouldn't be surprised if more weddings began to feature gifting lounges.

How to Become the Neat Freak You've Always Dreamed of Being

If you've ever been inside the home of a neat freak, you were probably in awe of the sheer perfection of the place. Books lined up systemically, shoes in a perfect stack, and a remarkable shine from floor to ceiling. If you have aspirations of becoming a neat freak, or at least picking up a few tricks of the cleaning trade, look no further than these helpful tips below.

  1. Sort your bookshelf alphabetically or by cover color.
  2. Always store refrigerator food in the appropriate compartments.
  3. Make your bed every morning.
  4. Eliminate clutter.
  5. Give your items a "home." Designate a place where the keys go, where spare towels are stored, where sunglasses are kept, and don't deviate from this system so that you always know where everything is.
  6. Clean your fridge weekly. Throw out anything past its date, and use anything that is almost expired.
  7. Make to-do lists, schedules, and charts. For everything.
  8. Buy or make drawer dividers so that your underwear and socks do not cross the line into each other's territory.
  9. Follow the "something in, something out rule" - if you get something new, something old that you don't use anymore has to go.
  10. Containers are your best friends - use them excessively.
  11. Make cleaning enjoyable. Pick out cleaning products you like, turn on music while you work, or clean when you're stressed so that you feel accomplished.
  12. Organize your bathroom, and maintain your system on a daily basis.
  13. Always take out recycling and garbage the minute it is full or begins to smell, instead of waiting until it is overflowing or unbearably smelly.
  14. Store up, not out. Buy or build shelves instead of stuffing items into closets or under the bed.
  15. Never leave dishes unwashed in the sink. Do them as soon as you're done using them.
  16. Organize your pantry by food group or type (all cereals and snacks on one shelf, all cooking oils and spices on another shelf, for example).
  17. Dust the house from top to bottom weekly; do it more if you have pets that shed!
  18. Vacuum after you dust. Empty and clean out your vacuum bag if it needs it.
  19. Store clothing in drawers based on type (pants vs. tops) and season (Winter vs. Summer).
  20. Labels, labels, labels. Stick them onto everything you can, and follow their instructions!
  21. Wipe down counters before you cook, while you're cooking, and after you're done cooking.
  22. Enforce the "no shoes in the house" rule.
  23. Fold clothing and linens in a uniform and consistent way so that they all lay on top of each other seamlessly.
  24. Use an under-the-bed or closet storage system for things you don't need as often.
  25. Go paperless. Switch your bill payments to an online account, and input your legal document data on to a computer so that you can get rid of years worth of old papers.
  26. If you have kids or pets (or a messy significant other), then clean up after them as the mess is made rather than waiting to start until they are finished making it.
  27. Don't just wipe toilets, sinks, and tubs - SCRUB them.
  28. If you see something that needs to be cleaned or organized, don't wait - do it when you notice it.

After People Trolled His Makeup Fail, James Charles Clapped Back in the Most Hilarious Way

Known for his impressively flawless highlight and killer brow game, James Charles is definitely one of our go-to vloggers when we're in need of some refreshing makeup inspiration. But the CoverBoy star recently proved that even the experts have off days, and he's taking it in stride like the true champ he is.

At an event in early March, James stopped to snap a few photos with fans and shared one of them on his Twitter. It looks like the camera's flash made his face look a tad pasty compared to the rest of his body - a common issue we're all secretly prone to.

Naturally, trolls from the dregs of the internet employed the power of Photoshop to exaggerate James's ghostly face makeup, and the memes started rolling in.

A whole month later, people are still somehow not over the whole thing, as memes are still being made. Although James admitted that he was initially pretty upset about them, he's now starting to acknowledge them on social media and finding humor in the whole situation.

And he even used it as fuel to make a hilarious new video tutorial mocking the haters. We couldn't think of a better way to handle a makeup fail! Ahead, see some of the most chuckle-inducing memes to date, followed by James's epic video response to the shade-throwers.

Sam Bee Demolishes Ivanka Trump With the Perfect Comparison: Game of Thrones

Ivanka Trump has officially joined her father's administration as an unpaid assistant and it's entirely unsurprising. What is a shock, however, is how Trump has attempted to ambiguously defend her position and criticisms about her inaction with lackadaisical rationale. Enter Samantha Bee, whose most recent evisceration of the president's daughter pulls absolutely zero punches.

Bee opens the diatribe by drawing on a quite apropos storyline that many will be familiar with: the Lannisters in HBO's Game of Thrones. "Her father already gave the hand of the king job to her husband Jared, right after he took President's Landing," Bee jokes. "So what king's body part will Ivanka be?"

Bee also takes a jab at those banking on Trump's Democratic voting history proving beneficial in pushing policies on her less moderate father. "Wishful thinkers are hoping that's code for 'your secret progressive buddy,'" but as Bee so aptly emphasizes: evidence suggests that fantasy will remain a fantasy. "Meeting with Leonardo DiCaprio is not a sign that you care about climate change," Bee adds.

Despite the meeting Trump reportedly coordinated between the president and former Vice President Al Gore, the newly elected president nominated a climate change denier to run the Environmental Protection Agency.

"At most, Ivanka has stopped one out of 24 appalling executive orders," Bee concludes after conceding that Trump allegedly helped scrap a bill which would roll back LGBTQ protections.

Bee's slam dunk of the segment? "People are comforted by the thought of a progressive feminist in the White House," she rips. "To which I say: if you wanted that, you should have voted for it."

The entire segment is a gleeful must watch, especially if you're in the camp hoping Trump's new role will somehow turn the president's ultraconservative ship around.

Every Disney Fan Should Complete This Incredible, Edible Bucket List

If you are planning a vacation to Disney World, the abundance of food options across all four parks can be overwhelming, but rest assured that these 28 foods have been well-researched and reviewed in person so you know everything here is 100 percent worth your money (and the calories). While a few iconic treats have made the list (like the Mickey pretzel and Dole Whip), some are a little more obscure (pork nacho fries). Expect this list to be a little sweet, partially covered in gooey cheese, and just a tad bit spiked, for those partaking.

The 1 Place in Scotland That All Harry Potter Fans Should Visit at Least Once

Scotland is a veritable mecca for Harry Potter fans, considering J.K. Rowling herself lives there and wrote a large majority of the series there. Everywhere you turn, you can see Rowling's inspiration or something that could easily be found in one of the films. While our Harry Potter travel bucket list can take you all over the world, it's important to make a stop at where it all began: the Elephant House Cafe in Edinburgh, Scotland.

The cafe in the heart of Edinburgh touts itself as the birthplace of Harry Potter, because Rowling spent countless hours in this shop penning Harry Potter. She sat in the back of the restaurant, overlooking Edinburgh Castle and Greyfriars Kirkyard, where a grave for a man named Tom Riddell can be found. I'm not saying there's a guarantee that that gravestone was the inspiration for Voldemort's real name of Tom Riddle, but the likelihood is there.

The cafe, which opened in 1995 and includes more elephant decor and memorabilia than you could ever dream of wanting, serves gourmet coffees, teas, and food, but it's no surprise that many people come here to feel the Harry Potter magic and leave notes on the bathroom walls for the wizard himself and the brilliant author who created him. To get a little bit of that magic for yourself, scroll through to see pictures of the cafe and even Tom Riddell's grave. Then next time you're planning a Harry Potter-themed vacation, keep Edinburgh in mind . . .

You Can Shop Victoria Beckham For Target in a Matter of Days

For the first time ever, Victoria Beckham is trying her hand at children's wear. But that's not the only reason we're amped up for her Target collection, which hits stores and online April 9, and includes over 200 items for ladies and kids (from $6-$70). Victoria chose to base her new pieces on the playfulness in her Victoria, Victoria Beckham line. That means a range that's as wearable as it is bold - and the pictures inside are the proof. Plus, for the first time ever, every size will be available in stores and online, ranging from XS to 3X for women and newborn to XL for babies, toddlers, and girls. Victoria even plans to sell select designs on her own site, so customers can shop internationally.

"I can reach so many more women through working with Target. It's not just because of the price point but because of how many stores that they have, located all around America. These are women that I haven't been able to reach out to in the past, and I always say that I want to empower women and make women look like the best versions of themselves. That shouldn't be only people who can afford to spend a certain amount of money," Victoria told Business of Fashion.

Read on to catch a first glimpse of the pieces, because you'll want to get a head-start on your shopping list.

Some Background on Syria's Tyrannical President, Bashar al-Assad

Bashar al-Assad, the despotic dictator grasping for power in Syria, was never supposed to lead his country. The embattled president's father, Hafez al-Assad - one whose rule can only be characterized as a dictatorship - had a clear favorite for ascension of power after he died: Basil al-Assad, the eldest male in the Syrian family. Basil al-Assad, who was already being groomed to control Syria, died in a car crash in 1994, paving the way for his younger brother Bashar to assume power when their father died. In 2000, Hafez al-Assad died following a 29-year reign, and Bashar al-Assad was elected president. He ran on an unopposed ballot.

What did Bashar al-Assad do before he became president?

Ever the second son, Bashar al-Assad was apparently disinterested in the family business of ruling Syria during his early years. After studying ophthalmology at Damascus University, al-Assad moved to London in the late 1980s for his residency. When his brother died, al-Assad was summoned back to Damascus by his father, presumably so the then-president could begin preparing him to take over after he died. He entered a military training school and eventually became a colonel in the army. In the late 1990s, al-Assad led a campaign against corruption in the government. This provided a seemingly legal opportunity for him to dispose of political rivals also vying for power when his father died.

What kind of president was he before the civil war began?

When Bashar al-Assad became president following his father's death, he attempted to reform some of the Syrian government's restrictive policies toward political rivals. According to a New Republic profile of the leader in 2013, Bashar al-Assad was most concerned with being liked rather than feared, like his father had been. As president, he released political prisoners who his father had detained, lifted a law that prohibited discussion of politics instituted by his father, allowed private ownership of banks, and granted a permit for an independent newspaper.

Around the same time the Arab Spring precipitated a series of political shake-ups across the Middle East in 2010, Syria encountered a similar revolution. Protests against the Assad family's regime sprung up across the country, and al-Assad reacted much like his father likely would have in response. Thousands of activists and civilians were imprisoned or killed; in the sixth month of protests, 2,000 people were already killed in al-Assad's attempt to maintain power. By 2011, as unrest enveloped Syria and it descended into a civil war ignited by al-Assad's brutal reaction to protesters, 27 European Union world leaders and the United States urged him to step down as president.

What has his role been in perpetuating civil war in his country?

By 2011, the situation in Syria had shifted from protests to full-scale civil war with al-Assad refusing to relinquish power. He also attempted to distance himself from his own army's action - despite being its commander in chief - during a December 2011 interview with ABC's Barbara Walters. In 2013, the president was accused of approving a chemical attack on a rebel-held territory that killed 1,400 civilians, 426 of whom were children. Former President Barack Obama proposed launching an airstrike on the Syrian-held territory in response to the brutal assault, but the plan was rejected by Congress. At the imploring of world leaders, al-Assad agreed to eliminate chemical weapon use through a deal brokered by the United States and Russia. However, as recently as this April, reports of a chemical weapons attack led by the Syrian military emerged.

Amid ongoing bloodshed in the country, al-Assad was reelected president in 2014, though the election was clearly rigged; voting only took place in areas of the country that he controlled. By the time of his "reelection," the conflict in Syria had already claimed the lives of more than 160,000 people.

The Syrian civil war grew more complex as ISIS entered the fight, endeavoring to capitalize on the unrest in the neighboring region. Since the terrorist organization has entered the conflict, American and Russian forces have been pulled into the fight, with the Russians backing al-Assad and the United States tentatively supplying arms to Syrian rebels. By December of 2016, the United Nations declared Aleppo, one of Syria's most populated cities, to be a humanitarian disaster as al-Assad's troops attempted to retake the city from rebels. The Syrian army successfully recaptured the city but with a massive civilian death toll and reports of war crimes.

As of February 2017, the Syrian Center for Policy Research, which is based in Damascus, estimated that at least 470,000 people have died in Syria since the beginning of the conflict. Bashar al-Assad remains unwilling to step down and continues to assert his power. In an April 6 interview with a Croation newspaper, Vecernji List, al-Assad said there is "no option except victory" to resolve the conflict and his government could not reach "results" through peace talks.

At the center of Bashar al-Assad's rule hangs a persistence to both honor his father's legacy and continue his family's reign. While he has long been accused of being weak by allies and foes within Syria, al-Assad ultimately appears obsessed with proving his leadership and strength, no matter the cost.

Australia's Figure 8 Pools Will Have You Saying "Dang, Mother Nature, Well Done"

One of Australia's best-kept secrets is starting to rise in popularity thanks to Instagram - the Figure 8 Pools. The rock pools in Sydney's Royal National Park may look man-made, but they actually formed naturally over time. Visitors have been taking the three-hour hike to visit the unique destination and jump in.

The important thing to remember is to visit the Figure 8 Pools at low tide - it's too dangerous to check them out at high or even mid tide. Waves will crash over the area and can cause injuries. Just make sure to check the national park safety alerts before making the trek. If you follow the guidelines and be careful, it's a memorable visit that's totally worth it. Check out all the awesome photos!

Maternity Leave in America Is So Bleak, Women Are Crowdfunding Their Time Off

The state of paid family leave in the US is woeful at best, even earning a scathing send-up on Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, a segment that starkly illuminates the hypocrisy surrounding America's sentiments toward motherhood. For example, things like Mothers Day practically fetishize motherhood, while many women who actually have babies are not provided with remotely enough time off from work to heal physically or bond with their new children.

There is no federally mandated paid leave policy for new parents, and while some companies lavish new parents with benefits (such as ample paid time off plus $4,000 in "Baby Cash" for new parents who work at Facebook), too many others offer meager parental leave, often at a percentage of the employee's salary (or totally unpaid). Facing the choice between taking longer unpaid leave or returning to work soon after giving birth, some new moms are now creating a third option for themselves: crowdfunding maternity leave.

Rather than curating traditional baby registries for diapers and cribs, new parents solicit money to supplement their parental leave on sites like Babylist. Since May 2016, over 200 "leave funds" have been created on Babylist, with an average cash goal of $2,000, according to The Atlantic's examination of this trend. The article continues:

Soon-to-be parents asking for money instead of gifts isn't new. But the practice of raising money specifically for parental leave has a different tone. Many women who started maternity funds spoke about the inadequate nature of paid leave in the US. Changes in public or company policy can feel far away, especially for expectant parents who have a more concrete deadline than politicians and HR offices. Establishing a maternity-leave fund to solicit help from family and friends is one market solution that feels immediate and tangible.

Critics may decry this tactic as coarse or tacky, in the same way that wedding cash registries and honeymoon funds have been criticized with the old argument, "Why do we have to pay for your vacation/time off from work?" But then again, if a family would prefer cash to offset an unpaid leave from work (instead of receiving nine more copies of Goodnight Moon), what's the difference? Rather than quibbling over whether or not it's crass to have a maternity leave fund, perhaps we should worry about the sad fact that new parents feel the need for one.

The Most Dangerous Sunscreens For Kids (and They're Probably Hiding in Your Beach Bag)

Along with wearing sunglasses and hats, sunscreen should always be a part of your family's Summer routine - but is the sunscreen in your beach bag right now actually safe? Healthy Child released a list of the 13 sunscreens with the worst EWG ratings for 2016 to alert parents.

The sunscreens that made the list have potentially harmful chemicals - oxybenzone (which can disrupt the hormone system) and retinyl palmitate (which may actually trigger skin damage on sun-exposed skin) - and high SPFs that don't actually do any more to protect your child than an SPF 30-50. Additionally, two formulas come in a spray that won't completely cover your little one's skin and could be inhaled into their lungs.

If any of these are in your arsenal, toss them and opt for one of these safe sunscreens instead.

Warning: You're Not Ready For These Adorable Snaps of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's Kids

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have one picture-perfect family. The couple - who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in May 2014 - welcomed their daughter North West back in June 2013, and a little over two years later, Kim gave birth to son Saint West. Since then, the famous brood has shared a bevy of sweet moments together, including their adorable ice-skating date in NYC and their trip to Armenia. In honor of the pair's supercute children, flip through the brood's most "aw"-inducing snaps.

Dior Addict Lacquer Stick Is the Perfect Lipstick For Women Who Hate Lipstick

Lipstick evokes strong feelings in most makeup wearers. Many - like myself - can't imagine life without a punchy pop of color. This product was my gateway into the world of beauty, and thus, I have sacrificed comfort and possibly ludicrous amounts of money on my constant quest for the greatest formula.

However, there are some people (and perhaps you are one of them!) who honestly despise lipstick. Some are afraid of the risk of smudging bright colors or getting pigment on their teeth, while others hate the feel of it on their pouts. Those people would rather resign themselves to a life of exclusively lip balm.

While I've never personally understood this perspective, I can respect it . . . but admittedly am always trying to convert these people to join me in the world of vibrant lip color. And after trying Dior Addict Lacquer Stick ($35), I'm convinced that I've found the one formula that would make any abstainer ready to join Team Lipstick.

The 20-color range features pigmented hues from everyday neutrals to neons and vampy dark tones, meaning there are shades ideal for women as they move from "wary about lipstick" to "lipstick warrior." It boasts a balmy sheen and intense color payoff that eventually fades away (evenly!) into a dewy stain.

But by far the formula's most celebratory quality is how it feels on the lips. Dior refers to this product as one with "weightless wear," and that isn't a meaningless marketing claim. It's lightweight to the point that I consistently forget I have it on. (I would go to reapply but, surprise! I still had lipstick on.)

Clearly, I was already sold on the Lacquer Stick, but to truly put this revolutionary formula to the test, I asked my colleague Alessia Santoro - who is firmly in the "boo, lipstick" camp - to apply it and review it. Before she put it on, she suggested she slick on some Chapstick first, but I told her it wasn't necessary.

"It feels like a moisturizing lip balm!" she told me, surprised. Even though I have almost never seen her wear lipstick, she was convinced that she would be able to apply this product easily without a mirror and said with conviction that she would definitely wear it again. We both agree that it might not stand up to more aggressive testing, like eating a particularly oily meal or a heavy makeout session, but it's so easy and comfortable to wear, we're happy to overlook that.

Keep reading to see the assortment of Dior Addict Lacquer Stick colors, then pick up your favorite shade. Whether you're staunchly pro-lipstick or prone to lipstick anxiety, I can pretty much guarantee you'll be obsessed with whichever one you grab.

What's the Fastest Way to Soften Avocados?

We've all been there; you want to make guacamole or avocado toast today, but all the avocados at the store are hard. What do you do? I reached out to the California Avocado Commission to find the answer. "The majority of stores carry avocados that are ripe and ready to eat today or tomorrow," Jan DeLyser, vice president of marketing explained. "Many consumers purchase enough avocados for weekly consumption, so they always have some ready to use."

She suggests shopping at stores that have ripe avocado programs for immediate use, or, if you have a few days to spare, placing avocados in a bag with an apple or a banana at room temperature to expedite ripening. (Apples and bananas emit a ripening agent called ethylene gas.) Conversely, ripe avocados can be kept in the refrigerator for a day or two to slow down the maturation process. If all else fails, take a tip from Pinterest and use a potato ricer to create fluffy, small grains.

Lose Yourself in 13 Reasons Why's Brilliant, Haunting Soundtrack

For much of 13 Reasons Why, Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) spends his time walking around the halls of his high school with a pair of headphones and a cassette player, listening to the 13 tapes left behind by Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), a former classmate who had committed suicide a few weeks earlier. After finishing the series, the first thing we wanted to do was reach for our own headphones, because the show's soundtrack could not be more perfect. With a great mix of indie hits (like Lord Huron's "The Night We Met," which plays at the school dance), pop covers (Selena Gomez's "Only You"), and vintage classics (get ready for The Cure and Joy Division), the dark drama becomes that much more hauntingly memorable. Minnette actually picked out many of the tracks himself, so you have him to thank while you enjoy the next 36 songs.

I was already several episodes deep in the new show, which is why it was so embarrassing and also so mind-blowing. Here's the thing: at 43(!) years old, Agena is youthful AF, and the idea that she would be playing a teacher just didn't occur to me. She also has bangs and no signature Lane Kim glasses.
