Ivanka Trump's Meeting With Planned Parenthood Wasn't Exactly Constructive

President Donald Trump is an outspoken (and often mistaken) critic of Planned Parenthood. So it makes complete sense that his daughter and recently appointed assistant, Ivanka Trump, would attempt to assuage tensions between the nonprofit and an administration committed to defunding it.

Ivanka Trump met with representatives from Planned Parenthood, including its president, Cecile Richards, in January to discuss the organization's efforts and clarify any misconceptions the president might have about its work. The meeting was first reported by Politico and confirmed by Planned Parenthood in a statement the organization shared with POPSUGAR.

"Cecile Richards and Ivanka Trump had a cordial and informative meeting shortly after the inauguration," read the statement from Planned Parenthood. "The purpose of the meeting, from Planned Parenthood's perspective, was to make sure that Ivanka Trump fully understood the important role Planned Parenthood plays in providing health care to millions of people and why it would be a disastrous idea to block people from accessing care at Planned Parenthood."

The meeting was also an opportunity for Planned Parenthood to elucidate any confusion the White House might have about its activities. "It was also important to clear up any misinformation regarding the Medicaid reimbursements Planned Parenthood receives and explain that Planned Parenthood is reimbursed the same way hospitals are," the statement added. "It's not a budget line item."

However, the administration has continued to demonstrate its apparent lack of knowledge about Planned Parenthood's operations - or simply regard for the care and services it provides - and its leadership has moved toward allowing states to defund the organization at will.

In the statement, Planned Parenthood maintained it is still willing to work with the administration going forward. "Planned Parenthood welcomes the opportunity to meet with anyone to talk about the important role Planned Parenthood plays in providing health care to millions of people and ensure they have the facts."

Echoing Cecile Richards's speech at the Women in the World Summit on April 5, Planned Parenthood emphasized that all White House employees need to answer to the idea that women should be penalized for requiring access to health care.

"Anyone who works in this White House is responsible for addressing why women are in the crosshairs of basically every single policy we've seen in this administration," Richards said.

Charlie Hunnam Was Beard Shamed by Robert Pattinson

This month yields the release of The Lost City of Z starring Robert Pattinson and Charlie Hunnam. Ever since we saw those telling set pictures back in 2015, we knew glorious facial hair would be a staple of the film. I mean, look at that mustache on Charlie! And that beard on Robert! What we didn't realize, though, was that the facial hair led to some hilarious "tension" behind the scenes. When we caught up with Charlie at the film's LA premiere, he shared a funny story about the first few days of filming.

"I showed up with a rather lovely looking beard," Charlie explained, "and Rob showed up and said, 'Haha! That's a lovely little beard. A lovely little beard.' Because he had this magnificent creation, and I said, 'All right, I guess I'm shaving, because there's no competing with that.' But I did have a very strong mustache, so there you go. . . . That's all you need." Whatever helps you sleep at night, Charlie.

This Charlie Hunnam Photo Shoot Is Just Dreamy as Hell

Even Charlie Hunnam isn't immune to David Beckham's charms. In his recent interview with Mr Porter, Charlie talked about working with the retired soccer star on his upcoming film, King Arthur. He mentioned David's work ethic, saying, "That, combined with him just being humble and kind and accessible, was very endearing. I'm not a football man, so upfront, I didn't really have a strong feeling one or way or another. But by the time he left, I had a little bit of a crush on him. He was pretty f*cking cool."

It's been a particularly busy couple of months for Charlie, who also stars in The Lost City of Z, which hits theaters on April 14. Once he's done making the press rounds, he told Mr Porter that he'll be taking his first vacation in seven or eight years. He and his longtime girlfriend, Morgana McNelis, plan to travel to Thailand, and Charlie joked that he has "so much anxiety" about not working for two weeks.

The Secret to Beating Your Saddlebags For Good

If you're trying to tighten up the extra padding around your butt and upper quads, you're not alone. This area is a problematic spot for women, and there's no single cure to change things overnight. According to celebrity trainer Anna Kaiser, increasing the intensity of your cardio and strength-training program is a great start. Anna's other piece of advice? "Put down the fork. No one needs to be eating five bowls of pasta a week and think that they're going to get rid of saddlebags if they're doing 500 leg raises. It's just not going to happen."

So stick to a healthy eating plan, add plenty of cardio to your workout routine, and try out these helpful exercises to help you feel more confident the next time you slip into something slinky.

The Senate Just Chose the “Nuclear Option” For Gorsuch - Here’s What That Means

On April 6, Senate Republicans invoked the "nuclear option" as a way to end the Democratic filibuster against the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Judge Neil M. Gorsuch. This is only the second time the nuclear option has been used in the Senate - and it has real consequences. So, what does that mean now and for the future of lawmaking in the US? Read on for a breakdown.

What is the nuclear option?

The nuclear option allows for a Senate majority to change the rules the Senate must follow. In this case, it allows the Senate to change the number of votes needed to confirm a Supreme Court nominee to a simple majority of 51 instead of a super majority of 60. The nuclear option used on April 6 also ended the filibuster, a political move usually used by the Senate minority to block any progress on a bill or nomination.

How did the Senate use the nuclear option?

The Senate Democrats started a filibuster to block the nomination of Gorsuch. For the filibuster to end, the Senate would need 60 votes or else the nomination of Gorsuch would've failed. So, instead, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell asked to end the filibuster by overturning a ruling that requires 60 majority votes to end a debate. It passed with the 52 sitting Republican Senators voting yes.

This then allowed for the Senate to vote again on whether to end the debate and move Gorsuch's final confirmation hearing to April 7, which it did with a vote of 55 to 45, reports The New York Times.

What does this mean for future Supreme Court nominations?

The nuclear option has now set a new precedent: the Senate no longer needs a majority of 60 votes to confirm a new nominee. It could let the president pick more decisive nominees that lean more left or right, further politicizing the court over time.

Has the Senate used the nuclear option before?

In 2013, former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid used the nuclear option for lower court and executive branch nominees. This let nominations for these positions pass with a simple majority (51) vs. a super majority (60).

Why is this a big deal?

Considering Republicans blocked former President Barack Obama's nominee, Merrick Garland, from even having a confirmation hearing - and Gorsuch's conservative leanings - Democrats have broadly pushed back hard against his nomination. Before the nuclear option, Senator Charles Schumer suggested that Republicans change the nominee to avoid setting this dangerous precedent. As we know now, that didn't happen - and the ramifications will likely be felt for years to come.

Scarlett Johansson on Ivanka Trump's Political Strategy: "Screw That"

Scarlett Johansson may have mocked Ivanka Trump's involvement in politics during a funny Saturday Night Live skit, but the actress is clearly taking Trump seriously. At the Women in the World Summit on Thursday, April 6, Johansson sat down with Arianna Huffington to discuss Trump's recent interview, where she addressed claims that she's "complicit" in her father's agenda - and the actress had some strong opinions on those comments.

In Trump's interview with Gayle King, she addressed the fact that just because she does not take to social media to discuss every political issue does not mean she doesn't care. Trump said that the public now knows her as the official assistant to the president, but said, "I think most of the impact I have, over time, most people will not actually know about." It seems that's what really irked Johansson about the interview.

"If you take a job as a public advocate, then you must advocate publicly," Johansson said. "And yesterday, she said something which I found particularly disappointing. She said the biggest influence she could have or change that she could make would actually be behind closed doors, so nobody would actually know that she made this change. I thought to myself, 'Well, that's empowering,'" Johansson said sarcastically.

Johansson continued: "Powerful women are so concerned they're going to be seen in this unflattering light. It's such an old-fashioned concept that to be a powerful woman you can't appear to be concerned [with appearances]. Screw that. It's so old-fashioned, it's so uninspired, and actually really cowardly."

Watch Johansson's interview above, and then, check out what she says about her potential future in politics below.

Um, 13 Reasons Why's Katherine Langford Is an INCREDIBLE Singer

Don't even pretend you haven't been googling the hell out of the cast of 13 Reasons Why. I have too, and that's how I stumbled into something amazing. Katherine Langford, aka Hannah Baker, has an old YouTube channel with three videos uploaded to it. They're all original songs about her friends and relationships, and of course she has a freakin' INCREDIBLE voice. Honestly, she should have contributed to the soundtrack! She's even playing the piano in the videos, which you can check out now. We'll be watching them all again as we ponder how one person can have so much talent.

Charlie Hunnam's Encounter With a Bug Will Give You Nightmares For Weeks

Charlie Hunnam and Demi Lovato are beautiful, yes, but they're also tough. On Wednesday, both stars appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden, where they dished on their ju-jitsu skills and Charlie told a horrific story about an encounter he had with a bug while filming The Lost City of Z in Colombia. The actor revealed that one night in his hotel room, he woke up with a little creature stuck in his ear canal that ended up biting off a large chunk of his eardrum (pause for vomiting). The group then watched a video of Demi taking down her boyfriend, MMA fighter Guilherme Vasconcelos, and Charlie admired her skills. Watch both videos here, then check out Demi and James's Divas Riff-Off.

Someone Is Photoshopping Extremely Long Ties Onto Trump and It's Perfection

It's no surprise anymore to see President Donald Trump do a weird handshake or wear an absurdly long tie. And while world leaders are learning to dodge Trump's outstretched hand, Trump isn't replacing his neckwear of choice. So of course one Twitter user is parodying Trump by photoshopping even longer ties onto the president.

The account, called Trump's Ties, already has more than 18,000 followers and plenty of photoshopped tweets.

Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, has no time for Trump's ties.

Nor does he like meeting Trump on windy days.

As you can see, Trump's long ties will go anywhere and everywhere.

The Number of Calories in a Sweet Potato May Surprise You

Packed with vitamin A and a great source of energy-sustaining complex carbs, sweet potatoes are having their moment in the healthy-eating spotlight. If you haven't been eating them because you're worried about them making you gain weight, this should ease your mind.

Eating sweet potatoes can actually help you lose weight because they're relatively low in calories. One medium baked sweet potato (about 3/4 cup) is just 100 calories. If you compare that to a slice of equal-calorie whole wheat bread, this orange tuber offers the same amount of carbs and almost twice the amount of filling fiber at 3.7 grams.

Aside from offering hunger-satiating fiber and energizing complex carbs, sweet potatoes have a relatively low glycemic index rating (50), which can prevent spikes in your blood sugar levels. They also contain a compound that increases levels of adiponectin in the body, the blood-sugar regulating hormone. When your blood sugar levels are regulated, it prevents sugar cravings that can make you eat half a pan of brownies.

Sweet potatoes, as the name suggests, are naturally sweet, and eating one can help satisfy your sweet tooth, so they're a great alternative to a sugary muffin or bowl of brown sugar oatmeal. Pair your sweet potato with a source of protein and healthy fat and you'll keep hunger at bay all morning long. Try a sweet potato smoothie, this avocado, tofu, sweet potato, and cashew bowl, warm sweet potato toast, or sweet potato tofu scramble.

If you want to nosh on sweet potato for dinner, aside from baked or roasted, try a chili-stuffed sweet potato or an easy-to-whip-up homemade sweet potato veggie burger. And for dessert? A slice of sweet potato banana protein bread!

With so many ways to enjoy this orange root veggie, don't just wait until Thanksgiving or order sweet potato fries when you're out to dinner. Bake a bunch on Sunday afternoon so you can enjoy them all week long.

13 Reasons Why: You've Seen Jessica in a Ton of Places

13 Reasons Why came in like a wrecking ball, reducing us all into the fetal position in the backs of our closets. The heavy themes wouldn't be half as heartbreaking if the show wasn't perfectly cast, and we've been looking into why everyone looks so damn familiar. One of the strongest performances comes via Alisha Boe, who plays the completely broken Jessica. Unlike star Katherine Langford, Boe has tons of TV experience. (No shade to Langford, who is incredible.) Twenty-year old Boe has appeared on over a dozen shows since 2008, ranging from Parenthood (with her 13 Reasons Why costar Miles Heizer!) to Days of Our Lives. She's had long arcs on Casual, Teen Wolf, and Ray Donovan. Here she is on the last as Janet:

Adele Gave Harry Styles Her 21 Album When He Turned 21, Said "Good Luck"

No matter which way you slice it, Adele is one of the best people in the entertainment industry. Despite recently breaking our hearts with the news that she may never tour again, the "Hello" singer redeemed herself a bit after we found out what she gave fellow British star Harry Styles for his 21st birthday. Harry, who turned 21 in February 2015, stopped by Nick Grimshaw's Radio 1 Breakfast Show on Friday, where he opened up about his friendship (?) with Adele. "For my 21st she gave me one of her albums, 21, and said: 'I did some pretty cool stuff when I was 21, good luck.' I was like . . . 'Geez.'"

Harry didn't seem to think much of the hilarious and savage gift, as he went on to praise the singer. "I think she leads by example," he continued. "She's the biggest, she's amazing, she's the best . . . so she should be the biggest. The thing with her is she's a different thing, she's just good at it, I like how she does everything, it looks very nice." He even revealed that Adele has been in the loop about his debut solo album. "I've spoken to her a little bit, she knows one of the guys that I wrote it with (his music) a lot. But I don't think so much advice, I just like how she does stuff."

7 Shopping Secrets Straight From an Aldi Employee

Aldi grocery stores may be famous for their exceptionally low price points, but we're finding out that there's a lot more to the company than just a solid deal on bananas! One employee just revealed tons of secrets about the grocery store and what it's like to work at Aldi in a Reddit AMA, and we're truly intrigued. During the "Ask Me Anything" conversation, the employee spilled the details on how "fresh" the produce is, why the cashiers are always sitting, and those delicious knockoff Girl Scout Cookies. Read on for all of the juicy Aldi shopping secrets, straight from an employee.

There's a weekly deal called Special Buys.

One Irish Reddit user wondered if they featured a weekly special product like they do at the stores in Ireland, which is often a really random product, like "skiing gear or a chainsaw," and the employee said yes. "It's called Special Buys," they shared about the weekly deals. "We just got a bunch of gardening things in yesterday!" So good to know!

They have amazing coffee!

The employee shared that coffee is their favorite thing to buy at Aldi. "We have amazing coffee," they shared. "My favorite is the Honduras and Peru whole bean (single source, organic, and fair trade) and the regular fair trade medium roast. The chocolate (choceur) is better than almost any common brand you can find. Almost everything there is truly comparable to national brands. It's not just a line. There is a very short list of things I don't like." They also sell great K-Cups for Keurig users.

Why do the cashiers always sit?

One curious Reddit user asked why the cashiers are always sitting, and it has absolutely nothing to do with laziness. "The register chairs are a German thing. I'm not 100% sure why. But I like to think we sit because we bust our asses cleaning and stocking when we aren't ringing."

The knockoff Girl Scout Cookies are delicious.

Someone asked why the near-identical Girl Scout Cookies weren't available in all stores, and the employee shared their incredibly impressive self-control when it comes to the cookies. "They are pretty amazing," the employee said about the cookies. "I don't allow myself to buy them often, though. I'll eat the whole thing by myself in like a day or two."

No, you can't get a discount on squished boxes.

Apparently, it's a running joke between shoppers that no one can ever find baking soda in Aldi stores, but we have an answer! "Baking aisle, top shelf," the employee shared, revealing a tip that might be a letdown to some customers. "No, you can't get a discount on the squished boxes."

Hiring is very competitive.

Yup! When someone asked if their experience at Walmart would help in the application process at Aldi, the employee said yes and opened up about the great number of applicants. "A lot of district managers like to hire people with former management experience (that's part of why I got hired)," they shared. "All experience matters of course, so grocery experience is definitely on your side. My store (not in a very large city) receives several hundred applications a year. Two people were hired in my store in the last 12 months. . . I was one of them. It's a tough job. Everyone does everything, including 6am truck shifts. Keeping the store clean and stocked is a constant struggle when it gets as busy as it does, and when there are only 2-3 working at a time. . . well, you can imagine. That's why it's nice to sit while we ring."

Produce is exceptionally fresh.

With such low prices, many shoppers wonder how "fresh" the produce really is, and the employee reassured the curious Reddit users that even though the produce is less expensive than other grocery stores, it's great quality. "We get produce deliveries every morning," they shared. "The turn around is very fast, so we don't have much waste. We just don't over-order, I guess. It's more typical that we are all out of broccoli by the time we close than it is that we have several extra cases that just end up in the trash." At this employee's location, local restaurant employees will even come in to purchase produce. "We often have local restaurants come in to buy produce to hold them over until deliveries come in. They have mentioned that it's cheaper than their wholesalers. I don't have actual numbers, but bananas and lettuce are big sellers in that area."

But if you're still wondering why shoppers are required to purchase a cart for a quarter, check out more Aldi secrets from another candid employee.

The Photos of This Dad Delivering His Own Twins Will Absolutely Blow You Away

One couple not only had a peaceful home water birth experience, but they were also lucky enough to have a talented birth photographer on hand to capture each breathtaking moment.

While it's estimated that 75 percent of twin births in the United States are delivered via C-section, this couple decided to welcome their babies at home - and the process moved so quickly that their ob-gyn wasn't able to arrive in time. In the stunning series of photos taken by Birth Blessings Photography & Childbirth Services, Robin Baker managed not only to photograph this twin birth but also to assist in it.

Baker told POPSUGAR that she arrived only 20 minutes after initially receiving the couple's call but could immediately tell that it wasn't going to be a long labor. "In between contractions and taking photographs, I was focused on helping them prepare a space to birth," said Baker. "I'm also an experienced home birther, so I knew what needed to be done."

As soon as Baker warmed the water and the laboring mom got into the bathtub, she immediately had the urge to push. Since everything was happening so quickly, Baker and the daddy-to-be spoke with their doctor over the phone to update him on their progress. The unnamed father joined his wife in the bathtub and helped to deliver their twins, a baby boy and girl.

They joyful couple had 30 minutes of bonding time with baby A before baby B made his way into his father's hands while still en caul. "The mom reached down and removed the [amniotic] sac and dad turned the baby to release the Nuchal cord and then handed him to mom," described Baker. "The parents were calm, peaceful, and brought their babies into the world effortlessly!"

Even though Baker has witnessed more than 70 births, she said that this was one of the most incredible moments of her career. "Since so many twins are born in the operating room, this birth was very special," added Baker. "Women are incredible when they follow their body's natural instincts!"

Mom's Reaction to Delivering an 11-Pound Baby Boy at Home Is Perfect

Natalie had a feeling her third child was going to be on the bigger side, but after delivering the 11-pound, 2-ounce baby naturally and at home, she understandably responded with a shocked reaction. Luckily for us, her birth photographer, Laura Fifield, caught that reaction - and so many more stunning moments from this beautiful, family-centered home birth - on camera.

With her two older children awake and present for the birth and her husband by her side, Natalie spent most of her labor in the birth pool, pushing just a few times before giving birth to her gorgeous baby boy, Simon. The gender was a surprise, and Laura told POPSUGAR Moms that the reaction of Natalie's she caught in the photo above was a mixture of "Wow, I did it" and the baby's gender being revealed.

After some skin-to-skin time and Simon's first nursing session, Natalie's midwives took the little guy to be weighed. "Imagine the surprise when her midwife announced, 'He's 11 pounds, two ounces, Natalie!' Oh my goodness, we were all shocked!" Laura wrote on her blog.

13 Reasons Your Kid Is a Brat That Are Completely Your Fault

Parenting can feel like an uphill battle, no matter your child's age. Not only is there a lot of pressure, but it also feels like whatever you're doing is constantly being scrutinized by strangers, friends, and family.

If you're involved in your kids' lives, then you hear that you're a helicopter parent and you're raising a fragile child. If you leave your children alone and try to let them work things out on their own, then you're neglectful. It seems as though no matter what there's someone there to tell you that you're doing it wrong.

However, a lot of issues with brattiness are the parents' fault - or at least become the parents' responsibility to fix. Although children might pick up bad behavior by modeling what they see on TV or at school, parents are still to blame if they don't put an end to it or just attribute it to age.

"It's not really fair; it's just kind of the way it is," Elaine Rose Glickman, author of Your Kid's a Brat and It's All Your Fault, told POPSUGAR. "If we don't teach our kids a better way, nobody else is stepping up to do so."

The first step to breaking that bratty behavior is realizing what you're doing to contribute to it. Here, the 13 problematic things that parents of spoiled kids do.

Legendary comic Don Rickles has died at the age of 90. The star, who was known for poking fun at everyone (including Hollywood's biggest stars), passed away from kidney failure at his LA home on Thursday, his publicist, Paul Schrifin, confirmed. Throughout his career, Don was sarcastically known as "Mr. Warmth" and had a few iconic roles in movies like Mr. Potato Head in the Toy Story franchise. He leaves behind his wife, Barbara, and their daughter, Mindy. The two were also parents to son Larry, who passed away at age 41 in December 2011 from complications due to pneumonia.

Some Background on Syria's Tyrannical President, Bashar al-Assad

Bashar al-Assad, the despotic dictator grasping for power in Syria, was never supposed to lead his country. The embattled president's father, Hafez al-Assad - one whose rule can only be characterized as a dictatorship - had a clear favorite for ascension of power after he died: Basil al-Assad, the eldest male in the Syrian family. Basil al-Assad, who was already being groomed to control Syria, died in a car crash in 1994, paving the way for his younger brother Bashar to assume power when their father died. In 2000, Hafez al-Assad died following a 29-year reign, and Bashar al-Assad was elected president. He ran on an unopposed ballot.

What did Bashar al-Assad do before he became president?

Ever the second son, Bashar al-Assad was apparently disinterested in the family business of ruling Syria during his early years. After studying ophthalmology at Damascus University, al-Assad moved to London in the late 1980s for his residency. When his brother died, al-Assad was summoned back to Damascus by his father, presumably so the then-president could begin preparing him to take over after he died. He entered a military training school and eventually became a colonel in the army. In the late 1990s, al-Assad led a campaign against corruption in the government. This provided a seemingly legal opportunity for him to dispose of political rivals also vying for power when his father died.

What kind of president was he before the civil war began?

When Bashar al-Assad became president following his father's death, he attempted to reform some of the Syrian government's restrictive policies toward political rivals. According to a New Republic profile of the leader in 2013, Bashar al-Assad was most concerned with being liked rather than feared, like his father had been. As president, he released political prisoners who his father had detained, lifted a law that prohibited discussion of politics instituted by his father, allowed private ownership of banks, and granted a permit for an independent newspaper.

Around the same time the Arab Spring precipitated a series of political shake-ups across the Middle East in 2010, Syria encountered a similar revolution. Protests against the Assad family's regime sprung up across the country, and al-Assad reacted much like his father likely would have in response. Thousands of activists and civilians were imprisoned or killed; in the sixth month of protests, 2,000 people were already killed in al-Assad's attempt to maintain power. By 2011, as unrest enveloped Syria and it descended into a civil war ignited by al-Assad's brutal reaction to protesters, 27 European Union world leaders and the United States urged him to step down as president.

What has his role been in perpetuating civil war in his country?

By 2011, the situation in Syria had shifted from protests to full-scale civil war with al-Assad refusing to relinquish power. He also attempted to distance himself from his own army's action - despite being its commander in chief - during a December 2011 interview with ABC's Barbara Walters. In 2013, the president was accused of approving a chemical attack on a rebel-held territory that killed 1,400 civilians, 426 of whom were children. Former President Barack Obama proposed launching an airstrike on the Syrian-held territory in response to the brutal assault, but the plan was rejected by Congress. At the imploring of world leaders, al-Assad agreed to eliminate chemical weapon use through a deal brokered by the United States and Russia. However, as recently as this April, reports of a chemical weapons attack led by the Syrian military emerged.

Amid ongoing bloodshed in the country, al-Assad was reelected president in 2014, though the election was clearly rigged; voting only took place in areas of the country that he controlled. By the time of his "reelection," the conflict in Syria had already claimed the lives of more than 160,000 people.

The Syrian civil war grew more complex as ISIS entered the fight, endeavoring to capitalize on the unrest in the neighboring region. Since the terrorist organization has entered the conflict, American and Russian forces have been pulled into the fight, with the Russians backing al-Assad and the United States tentatively supplying arms to Syrian rebels. By December of 2016, the United Nations declared Aleppo, one of Syria's most populated cities, to be a humanitarian disaster as al-Assad's troops attempted to retake the city from rebels. The Syrian army successfully recaptured the city but with a massive civilian death toll and reports of war crimes.

As of February 2017, the Syrian Center for Policy Research, which is based in Damascus, estimated that at least 470,000 people have died in Syria since the beginning of the conflict. Bashar al-Assad remains unwilling to step down and continues to assert his power. In an April 6 interview with a Croation newspaper, Vecernji List, al-Assad said there is "no option except victory" to resolve the conflict and his government could not reach "results" through peace talks.

At the center of Bashar al-Assad's rule hangs a persistence to both honor his father's legacy and continue his family's reign. While he has long been accused of being weak by allies and foes within Syria, al-Assad ultimately appears obsessed with proving his leadership and strength, no matter the cost.

The Surprising Bath Product That Could Alleviate Your Migraines

Besides the pain of a throbbing headache, the most frustrating part of being a migraine sufferer is how difficult it is to find an effective treatment. I personally have given up on preventative or emergency medications, as many of them have only made me feel worse. But thanks to a viral Facebook post, those dealing with these awful headaches may finally be able to get some relief.

The Daily Mail discovered Facebook user Jill Hamilton's tip from a friend, which declares Johnson's Baby Soothing Vapor Bath ($5) as "life-changing."

"I get unbearable migraine headaches," read the post. "I started using this in the shower every night, I lather up really good and breathe in the smell for about five minutes then rinse off. And no more migraine!"

The relief may be due to the aromatherapeutic blend of rosemary, eucalyptus, and menthol. Cathy Glaser, the president of the Migraine Research Foundation, told Allure that researchers have been focusing on the benefits of menthol in particular.

"Menthol has been used as a 'non-drug' therapy for headaches for centuries. Although there are anecdotal reports that it's helpful, there is no scientific research supporting its use," says Glaser. "That's why we funded a study on cornmint oil (which is what menthol comes from) last year."

While there are no results yet from that study, it's worth testing out the Johnson's Baby Soothing Vapor Bath in the meantime. It could seriously improve your life if it works, but worst case scenario, you're out $5 - with a squeaky-clean body.
