After 7 Years in Production, the First Trailer For The Dark Tower Was Worth the Wait
It's here, you guys. It's FINALLY here. The insane first trailer for The Dark Tower has dropped, and it's full of death, destruction, and a very creepy introduction to Matthew McConaughey as the infamous Man in Black. Because Idris Elba's Roland the Gunslinger can't stop him from destroying an otherworldly tower with his good looks alone, there are plenty of jaw-dropping gun fights to feast your eyes on. After enduring seven years of production, the wait for the adaptation of Stephen King's thriller was clearly worth it. The film is loaded with other talented cast members, but if you want a closer look at Elba and McConaughey's characters, take a look at the two clips the actors shared with their followers before the official trailer dropped. The first features The Man in Black:
@idriselba I know this. Deal with it. #DarkTowerMovie http://pic.twitter.com/NdDw4qtD0w
- Matthew McConaughey (@McConaughey) May 2, 2017
Elba responded with a clip of The Gunslinger:
@McConaughey I deal in lead. #DarkTowerMovie http://pic.twitter.com/IvpjVKFHCH
- Idris Elba (@idriselba) May 2, 2017
The Dark Tower opens on Aug. 4!
Stan Lee's Guardians of the Galaxy 2 Cameo Is More Important Than You Think
You can't watch a movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and not expect to see Stan Lee. The iconic comic-book writer, who's responsible for creating many of the Marvel heroes we hold dear, has popped up over and over again in cheeky cameos, but have his appearances been more important than a simple tip of the hat? Some fans seem to think so, and given his latest part in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, we're inclined to agree.
Spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 below!
In the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, Lee appears not once but twice. We get our first glimpse of the Marvel chairman when Yondu, Rocket, Groot, and Kraglin are hopping through realms over a planet in their spaceship, where he's regaling a group of aliens on the surface with tales of his time as a FedEx employee (a reference to his cameo in Captain America: Civil War). The second time we see him is during the fifth and final postcredits scene, which is a continuation of his first appearance. He asks the aliens to stay and listen ("I've still got more stories to tell!"), but they get bored and walk away. The aliens he's talking to aren't random - they're members of The Watchers, an ancient extraterrestrial race in charge of passively observing everything that happens in the universe. Though they're all-seeing, The Watchers are banned from ever interfering in the phenomena of the universe (they're not called The Do-ers) (sorry). In fact, their behavior is pretty similar to how Lee behaves in all of his cameos, don't you think?
It turns out that Lee is indeed a member of The Watchers, and he's been playing the same "character" in all of his cameos this whole time. In an interview with The Radio Times, Guardians director James Gunn revealed he specifically chose to include the scenes with Lee as a nod to the Watchers theory fans have been wondering about for so long. "I mean, you know there's a lot of cool stuff that the fans come up with," he said. "A lot of stuff I don't agree with, you know, people have ideas about what they think should happen in the MCU. But I find the idea that Stan Lee is a Watcher, or that he works for the Watchers, is just a fun little nod to the fans."
The head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, further confirmed the theory. "We always thought it would be fun. Stan Lee clearly exists, you know, above and apart from the reality of all the films," he said. "So the notion that he could be sitting there on a cosmic pit stop during the jump gate sequence in Guardians was something very fun – James had that idea and we shot that cameo and loved it so much, you know, you see it a couple of times in the movie. It wasn't in for a long time and we put it back in towards the end of the process where he references that time he was a Federal Express agent – we thought it would be fun to put that in there because that really says, so wait a minute, he's this same character who's popped up in all these films."
13 Fragrances Your Mom Will Love Spritzing
Chances are your mom has a signature scent she loves spritzing every day - let us guess: Amarige? Jean Naté? Charlie? Or maybe it's a celebrity creation. But don't let the fact she has a favorite fool you. Like any true perfume fan, that doesn't mean she wouldn't love to add another lovely aroma to her rotation.
These 13 Spring fragrances are perfect to wrap and give this Mother's Day. From light and ocean-like to smoky, look ahead to find what's sure to become her new favorite spritz.
These Hacks Will Forever Change the Way You Drink Wine
Wine expertise isn't earned by accidentally picking that nice Rosé at the supermarket. Wine is a very difficult subject to master - a realization that can be exaggerated when interacting with a wine expert (or sommelier, as they're called). They do an excellent job of pointing you toward wines you might like, accompanied with hints of bruised self-esteem. Thankfully, sommelier and host Whitney Adams serves up drinking knowledge with little fuss and buckets of accessibility. On her YouTube channel, Adams provides weekly, nonsober insight, ranging from wine basics (like how to read a wine label) to more obscure drinking subjects (like the Jura region in France).
Adams is a wealth of wine information and wants to help us drink wine better. "I myself am a lazy b*tch and I think a lot of my viewers are too," she says. "People like when wine doesn't seem so scary. I try to make it a little more approachable and everyday, because wine should be enjoyed with ease." To help us drink better, I spoke with Adams about ways to hack wine drinking. As Adams says, these tips are guaranteed to give "maximum results with minimal effort." I like that.
3 Holistic Spa DIY Recipes Featuring Authentic Thai Ingredients
One of the best parts of spending my honeymoon in Thailand was experiencing the spas! Southeast Asia is known for having an amazing spa culture - where you can walk into any place on the street and supposedly get an amazing hour-long massage for just $20. But since it was my honeymoon, I am beauty obsessed, and I knew my dollar would go far, I opted to get my treatments at some of the more upscale spots. (YOLO!)
The most impressive spa I visited during my week in Thailand was the Secret Garden Spa at the Four Season Koh Samui. The name totally makes sense: from the front, the spa looks like a one-room shop. But go out the back, and there is a massive jungle terrain with huts. In each hut, treatments are offered. It feels like you're getting massaged in your own little villa.
What also made this experience so cool is that the Secret Garden Spa either grows on site or locally sources Thai ingredients and incorporates them into treatments. These were many of the same ingredients I was eating in authentic Thai food - coconut milk, lemongrass, kaffir lime, ginger, and turmeric. For example, I booked the Kala Coconut Massage, which involves a masseuse using warm coconut oil and a smooth coconut shell on my muscles. My husband got a massage that incorporated Thai spices being sprinkled on his back.
Since Koh Samui isn't the easiest place to get to, the Secret Garden Spa director Stephanie Arveux is sharing ways to make your own Thai spa at home. Here, she sheds light on why three Thai ingredients - coconut, kaffir lime, and ginger - have beauty benefits. She also cooked up three easy DIY recipes you can try.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2: What Mantis Looks Like Without Her Antennae
Part of what makes the Guardians of the Galaxy films so great is not only the great soundtracks, but also the galactic superhero films' collection of hilarious, unique characters (Baby Groot, we're looking at you). On top of the usual suspects, the sequel features a few new faces. One of the most memorable is Mantis, played by Canadian actress Pom Klementieff. Some of the movie's best moments are between the socially awkward empath, who's introduced as a employee of Ego the Living Planet (Kurt Russell), and Dave Bautista's brutally honest Drax. Wondering where you've seen her before?
The 31-year-old actress is from Quebec, where she got her start on the silver screen in a few French language projects like 2007's Après lui and the 2009 miniseries Pigalle, la nuit. She continued appearing in French films and TV shows until 2013, when she scored the role of Haeng-Bok in the 2013 remake of Old Boy (below).
Since then, her resumé has favored low-key films (like the 2015 thriller Hacker's Game opposite 13 Reasons Why star Ross Butler), and the recent indie comedy Ingrid Goes West alongside Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen, which is due out this Summer. If you loved her in Guardians (and how could you not?!), there's luckily more Mantis in all of our futures; she'll reprise her role when Star Lord and company join up with the rest of the Marvel superheroes in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War.

A Naked Man Crashed the Met Gala Red Carpet - Yes, Really
There were a handful of celebrities who stayed true to the avant-garde Rei Kawakubo theme at this year's Met Gala, but nobody quite compared to this man. During fashion's biggest night on Monday, Brazilian performance artist Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich attempted to attend the event encased in a glass box while - wait for it - completely naked. As part of his Foundling series, he was carried by two men to the gala's check-in point before getting stopped by the staff and a guard. After refusing to get out, firefighters reportedly cut open the box and he was arrested. According to NBC, he is facing charges of public lewdness, obstructing governmental administration, criminal trespassing, and disorderly conduct. Even though he didn't make it onto the famed Met Gala steps, he managed to capture the whole ordeal on video.

Here's What to Do If You Clicked on the Google Doc Email Scam
If you accidentally clicked on an email about someone sharing a Google Doc with you, don't panic. It looks like it was a phishing email, according to a detailed account on Reddit. However, if you already clicked on it, here's what you need to do immediately.
Go to your Google account's permission settings where you can control what apps and sites can access your account. Click on manage apps.
Click on the app that's labeled Google Docs. You'll see when the app was given access and a button to remove it. Click on remove. You can see what it looks like below (except my example is with Google Chrome).
This isn't a fool proof way to protect your account, so be sure to change your password as well.

America's Favorite Grocery Store Is Revealed - and You've Probably Never Heard of It
Every grocery store has its devoted shoppers - Whole Foods has the all-organic consumers, Publix wins for sandwich lovers, and Trader Joe's scores the frozen food connoisseurs, but a new study proves that America's most-loved supermarket is surprisingly not any of the above - it's Kroger.
Morning Consult Intelligence surveyed 35,000 customers to see if they were "favorable" or "unfavorable" toward 500 different companies. Well, numbers don't lie, and in the grocery category, Kroger pulled in 53 percent of the "favorable" votes. Following Kroger, Whole Foods had 48 percent, Safeway had 40 percent, and Albertsons and Publix each had 33 percent.
According to Food & Wine, the Spring 2017 Most Loved Brands list looked at companies based on the market share, so the chains that make the cut are typically the ones with the highest number of locations. If you're wondering why Trader Joe's didn't make the list, it can only be explained by the fact that there are nearly six times as many Kroger grocery stores than TJ's locations, and they were likely not included in the survey. . . it has nothing to do with the frickin' delicious Sweet Potato Gnocchi with Butter and Sage.
The Surprising Tool That Helped Me Finally Get Into Headstand
I started practicing yoga about two years ago, and it changed my life in so many ways: yoga changed how I run, it helped with my anxiety, and it even redirected the course of my career, playing a huge role in how I ended up here at POPSUGAR as a fitness editor.
The practice of yoga can totally be a metaphor for life off the mat - like when certain things come super easily for some people, but they're totally challenging for you, leading you to feel crazy frustrated (sound familiar?). This was the case for me and headstand. I've been enviously watching friends make progress, while I flailed around with my legs (sort of) in the air, but nowhere near vertical.
When our team got to try the TRX for yoga class, I was more than excited. We were told that with the TRX straps, we'd get support, but also instant feedback on our balance and distribution - if you're familiar with yoga, you know how important this is! So four of us editors headed to the TRX Training Facility in San Francisco, ready to give it a shot and expand our horizons.
The warehouse-style gym was a tad intimidating at first, but the four of us were immediately put at ease thanks to instruction and help from superyogi and trainer Shauna Harrison (she was incredible!). After learning the ropes (pun sort of intended) of the TRX straps, we got started with our practice.
Having the TRX straps in hand (or on our feet!) really did provide immediate feedback. Were our arms level in Warrior II? Were our spines aligned in Warrior III? You knew right away, and it was awesome. It was like having a block for support, combined with a personal instructor for adjustments, all in one piece of equipment. But once we got comfortable and went through our familiar poses, Shauna dropped the H-bomb. She told us we'd been trying headstands.
The practice had been fun and relaxed leading up to this moment, but once "headstand" was mentioned, I got nervous. "There's no way this is happening for me, and it's gonna be soooo embarrassing," I thought. After all, I'm on the fitness team, I'm supposed to be good at this stuff, right? But aside from Fitness Director Susi May, none of us had mastered a headstand yet (and Susi mentioned she hadn't done one in about a decade!).
Shauna demonstrated how the straps would aid in the process. We got into a plank, feet in the stirrups of the TRX straps. Once in our planks, we created a cradle for our head on the ground with our hands. From there, we piked our hips up, and came into an L-shaped headstand. Susi nailed it on the first try (see below), and I stared at her in awe and bewilderment, thinking "Dang, Susi is super jacked."
I looked to my left, and our Food editor Anna had also nailed it. Once Shauna showed us how to get one leg in the air, Anna effortlessly lifted her leg like a freakin' ballerina, and she was there: her first headstand. It was pretty surreal (and like a proud mom, I made her pose for a picture once class had concluded - below).
After seeing a newbie get into this pose so gracefully, I knew it was my turn; Shauna helped with my nerves, and a few seconds later, I mirrored Anna's pose. I was in my first-ever headstand, leg lift and all. "I DID IT!" I was shaky, perhaps a tad crooked, but I was THERE, standing on my head. I immediately got a rush of pride, gratitude, excitement, and all those accomplished feelings that come with meeting a personal fitness goal. I had just conquered something daunting that had been hoped for in my yoga practice for a year, with the help of TRX straps.
A few Snapchats later, we were all on our way, each of us completely stunned, giddy, and high off of an phenomenal class that none of us had ever experienced. We couldn't stop gushing about how insane it was that ALL of us got into a headstand, first try, so quickly. Needless to say, TRX will now be a staple in my personal practice, as I train myself to complete a freestanding headstand. Are you struggling the way I have been, and hoping for a headstand of your own? It's probably time to get these straps into your practice, too!

Vichy Is the French Pharmacy Brand You Should Know
Whenever I travel to France, I seek out excuses to go into the "green cross" pharmacies that beckon on just about every block, their shelves lined with chic but simply packaged products from brands that are so very French: Klorane, La Roche-Posay, and Avène, to name a few.
The brand that has recently seduced me is Vichy Laboratories - partly because I love the products, but also because I love a brand with a great history, which Vichy has. Lucky for you, the products are easy to find stateside, but to really appreciate them, you'll want to take a virtual visit to France.
I recently traveled to Vichy on a trip with the brand and went in with a skeptical attitude toward this magical water. But after experiencing the thermal springs up close and learning about the process used to create the products, I became a genuine fan.
Vichy, France, is a sleepy town in the center of the country, and since the 17th century, it has attracted visitors from all of Europe to its healing thermal hot springs. For centuries, people have come to soak in pools filled with Vichy mineralizing water, which originates in the volcanic region of Auvergne. Under Napoleon III, Vichy became the first spa resort in Europe.
Vichy mineralizing water contains 15 minerals and is an ingredient in every single one of the line's quenching skin care products. The brand was founded in 1931 by a doctor who observed that Vichy mineralizing water had scar-healing benefits on his patients. Today, doctors in Vichy, France, can "prescribe" the water as treatment for their patients, who visit the so-called Hall of Sources to drink water from various local springs. I had a chance to visit the Hall and drink the Vichy Kool-Aid waters; some of the water really does taste like medicine (aka a sulfur punch in the mouth) while other springs produce water that's refreshing in the traditional sense.
Whether you buy into the idea of "healing water" or not doesn't really matter. The skin-quenching properties of the products are obvious when you use them. Here are seven of the Vichy products I recommend and why.

Vanessa Hudgens Is Already Wearing the Swimsuit Color of the Summer
As a self-described individualist and sartorial free spirit, Vanessa Hudgens doesn't blindly follow trends. With her latest beach shot, Vanessa reaffirmed her style knowledge, opting for a gathered one-piece in copper - the burnt orange shade that's gradually come to replace rose gold following its ubiquity. What's more, the texture also has an unmissable eye-catching sheen.
Vanessa's one-piece features a plunging neckline, side cutouts, and flattering ruching at the waist. She captioned her confident shot with, "I call it Malibooya." Ahead, shop similar copper selections before the swimwear trend really takes off.
People Are Already Trolling Ivanka Trump's New Book on Amazon
Ivanka Trump is feeling the heat on Amazon. Shortly after the release of her new book, Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success, the First Daughter received countless negative reviews on the popular e-commerce site. While it's clear that most of the savage reviews are from people who haven't yet read the book, which is described as a guide to "equip you with the best skills" to manage work and family, there were a few in the bunch who admitted they did. Texas Could Enact One of the Harshest Immigration Laws in the Country
Texas is about to join Arizona on the list of states with sweeping anti-immigrant laws. On April 30, Texas's House of Representatives approved Senate Bill 4, which had already passed through the Senate. Governor Greg Abbott, a Republican anti-immigrant stalwart, is expected to sign the bill following a committee hearing.
Senate Bill 4 (SB4) echoes the tenants of Arizona's notorious "Show Me Your Papers" legislation that passed in 2010 but was later amended and stripped of its strength. Texas's proposed law would allow police officer to question the immigration status of anyone detained with "reasonable suspicion" of breaking any law. What's dangerous about this is it affords police the power to potentially incriminate detainees as opposed to arrestees.
In addition to emboldening police to detain civilians who might be undocumented immigrants, the bill also prohibits cities in the state from passing bills that would curtail SB4's provisions. Police would be required to comply with federal requests to detain suspected undocumented immigrants, making officers pseudo immigration agents. At its core, SB4 targets "sanctuary city" and preys upon people whose only crime is existing as an immigrant. Even if an undocumented immigrant has not broken a law, SB4 permits police with the power to question anyone's immigration status.
Critics and demonstrators have appealed to the governor since the SB4 passed through the Senate in February. One state lawmaker, Victoria Neave, protested the bill's House vote with a four-day fast. Other activists challenged Governor Abbott at his office in Austin on May 1: after the building closed 24 activists (including one Austin City Council Member) were arrested according to the Texas Tribune.
It seems unlikely that Abbott will veto SB4 given his past statements about defunding sanctuary cities. Abbott went after Travis County police department when the sheriff, Sally Hernandez, announced that her county's jail would not detain immigrants for federal authorities. Abbott sent the county, which encompasses most of Austin, TX, a letter demanding it reverse the policy or face defunding.

May You 1 Day Have a Friendship Like Eva Longoria and Mario Lopez's
Eva Longoria and Mario Lopez have been friends for well over a decade. And we don't mean they are "friends" like people are in Hollywood, the two are so close that Eva is actually the godmother to Mario's daughter, Gia. The best friends, who haven't revealed how they met, consider each other family - Eva has publicly referred to Mario as her "brother."
The two have been there for each other professionally and personally through the years. Eva has been on Mario's show Extra a bunch of times and had Mario by her side at her wedding to José Antonio Bastón, while Mario supported Eva through her divorce from Tony Parker. Gwyneth Relocated Goop's Office to a Santa Monica Chicken Coop – And It's Gorgeous
A year and a half ago, the Goop team moved their headquarters from a barn on the property of founder Gwyneth Paltrow's LA home to an unlikely location: a former chicken coop in Santa Monica. "We wanted to preserve the spirit of our first office-raw and energetic, filled with natural light, very California," Gwyneth told Architectural Digest. With design spearheaded by RH, the space is as gorgeous and gooptastic as you're expecting. Think industrial meets the 1970s meets the well-bred sophistication Gwyneth has honed into a lucrative art form. The star confessed to the magazine, "I don't have a very broad aesthetic...I like beautiful materials and nice textures, simple gestures that elevate your experience of a room." Take a look inside Goop's creative workspace ahead, and then visit Architectural Digest for all the design details.

This Photo of a Girl Scout Protesting a Neo-Nazi Is Incredibly Powerful

A new hero inspiring the internet is a young woman who also happens to be a girl scout. In the viral photo, a girl scout appears to be standing up to a Neo-Nazi at a protest.
The photo was taken at a far-right rally on May 1, in Brno, Czech Republic, reports HuffPost, and posted to Facebook by user Vladimír Čičmanec. The girl's pose and face, is calm and strong, unafraid of a Neo-Nazi in her face. It's certainly resonating with people across the internet, considering the original Facebook post has more than 5,000 reactions, 1,000 shares, and 46 comments.
It was also posted to the World Organization of the Scout Movement's (WOSM) Facebook page, where it has more than 4,000 reactions, 1,000 shares, and 74 comments. There, WOSM names the girl scout as Lucie, and that scouts were protesting the far-right rally "to express their support for values of diversity, peace, and understanding." The photo has also found its way to Reddit and Imgur.
Perhaps this photo of Lucie and other protesters who continue to stand up for what they believe in might finally send the message to the far right: they won't go anywhere anytime soon and aren't afraid.
Girls Who Code Founder Tells Ivanka Trump "Don't Use My Story"
Reshma Saujani is the founder and CEO of Girls Who Code, an empowering nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching woman how to code, and she's making it clear that she does not want Ivanka Trump using her story. Trump is currently promoting her new book, Women Who Work: Rewriting the Rules for Success, which is essentially a self-care book directed at helping women lead their most fulfilling lives, professionally and socially.
In her book, Trump has a section dedicated to Saujani, explaining how she switched from a career in politics to provide more opportunities for women. "It was during a run for Congress that Saujani became inspired to create the organization," Trump wrote. "In visiting local schools, she personally witnessed the gender gap in computing classes and set out to do something about it."
But Saujani does not want to be a part of Trump's narrative, and she's not holding back. On the day the book was released, Saujani wrote to Trump on Twitter, "@ivankatrump don't use my story in #WomenWhoWork unless you are going to stop being #complicit #askivanka," seen below.

Since Donald Trump became president, the first daughter has been largely criticized for being "complicit" on her father's policies and remaining silent, and Saujani is definitely not the first person to bring this up. In an interview with Gayle King of CBS This Morning last month, Trump confronted the notion of being silent on social media regarding political issues, explaining that just because she does not publicly speak out does not mean she doesn't have an opinion.
"I would say not to conflate lack of public denouncement with silence," Trump said. "In some case it's through protest and it's through going on the nightly news and talking about or denouncing every issue in which you disagree with. Other times it is quietly, and directly, and candidly."
Read on to see some of the responses Saujani has received on social media after speaking out against Trump's new book.

Selena Gomez's Met Gala Purse Came With a Message That Shouldn't Be Missed
At the 2017 Met Gala, Selena Gomez made her first red carpet appearance with The Weeknd. While the new couple showed each other affection throughout the evening, Selena's pint-size handbag boasted a big message about individuality and self-love that should not be missed.
Following the event, Coach shared a picture of the bottom of Selena's bag, which read, "Love yourself first." Only Selena's biggest fans might know this, but the multi-hyphenate has that same exact phrase tattooed on her side in Arabic script. Ahead, see pictures of the statement-making bag.

3 Reasons "Polite Persistence" Will Get You Hired
When your interview ends, the process is NOT over yet. How you follow up afterward can have an impact on whether or not you get the job. There's a way to be assertive without being pushy, and Fred Goff, CEO of job-seeking website Jobcase, says the key to following up (and getting the job!) is "polite persistence." Here's how to be a successful job seeker without being a job stalker.
1. Follow up on the résumé you sent in.
When you send in an application or résumé, follow up the next day to make sure it was received. Many employers ask that you don't call, so a follow-up email is often your best bet. However, if the hiring manager/company does accept calls, then following up with a brief call after sending in your application can also be a good way to get remembered. "Somewhere between one day and one week later," Goff said, "call to ask if you are being considered for the role and, if so, when you might expect to come in to meet the hiring manager."
2. Say thank you (a lot)!
If you get an in-person interview, make sure to follow up with a thank you! Don't overdo it - it can come off as fake flattery or kissing up. But a genuine show of appreciation for someone's time can go a long way. "Send a thank-you note for their time and consideration," Goff said. "Include something from the meeting that convinced you that you will be right for the role (this shows you listened, and reminds them who you are - if they are interviewing a lot of people this could be important!). Don't leave anyone out - thank EVERYONE you meet! It can't hurt."
3. Follow up again if you don't hear back after your interview.
Follow up after your interview, and if you still don't hear back, follow up again. Be assertive, but polite! "Oftentimes the persistence becomes a key factor in getting the job," Goff said. "Polite persistence wins the day! If you are rejected, be sure to still thank the employer for their time. Why thank the rejection? Because chances are they will hire again, and you just put yourself back in consideration!"

How 1 Clever Mom Taught Her 7-Year-Old a Serious Lesson in Online Safety
Despite only being 7 years old, Sue Samad's little girl had a serious confession to make. After her iPad time was over and she was tucked into bed, the child came downstairs crying that she needed to tell the truth: she broke the house rules and had been chatting with gaming people online.
The little girl knew that she broke the family's "no chat" policy and begged her mom to punish her because she deserved to be grounded for her actions. Instead, her mom came up with an even better way to ensure that her child learned the magnitude of her mistake.
Every Parent Should Use This Dad's "X-Plan" to Give Their Teens a Way Out of Pressure Situations
"It got me thinking, OK . . . I ground her, confiscate the iPad, but really no lesson is learned," she wrote on Facebook. "My absolute manic mind came up with this faux letter with letter head and all. I put it in our mailbox this afternoon addressed to Mr. and Mrs. Taher. The letter is just reminder, deterrence, and will possibly freak the crap out of her for a few years (I hope)."
The fake letter was signed from Security Intelligence for Children Cyber Safety and informed Sue that her child had breached the cyber internet safety contract for kids. It explained that her daughter's WiFi had been disconnected and can only be reinstated when the child proves to her parents that she is "responsible and understands the immediate dangers she has put herself an her sibling in."
According to Sue, the response she got when she showed her children the letter was exactly what she was hoping for and it was a tool to help them discuss the importance of online safety. "The letter doesn't replace continuous education about cyber danger, stranger danger, and keeping the open dialogue and honesty with your children," she wrote. "If they make a mistake, pull them up, watch what they are doing, let them make mistakes with you and be OK to discuss those awkward subjects that make your stomach squirm."
Sue explained that she doesn't believe in denying her children access to the internet since it's such a big part of this generation's daily life, but she does hope parents learn from both her daughter's mistake and her reaction to it. "A reminder to all of us to watch what our children do online, be the helicopter parent, observe their behavior, be open with discussion even if it's so uncomfortable and beyond their years of understanding," she wrote. "My hope is to raise resilient and socially-conscious children who God willing will grow up sensible children. And to add some humor to this very disturbing topic . . . it'll be a great piece to present at her 18th birthday."

What Women Going Through IVF Need on Mother's Day - According to Molly Sims
Molly Sims knows that as families across the country gear up to celebrate Mother's Day, there are also women struggling more than ever on this particular day. Although the actress and mom-of-three has a lot to be grateful for this year, she is all too familiar with the other side: trying to get pregnant and enduring infertility treatments in the hopes of becoming a parent.
Before eventually conceiving naturally three different times, Molly froze her eggs and went through two rounds of IVF. Now that she has her hands full with three kids under 5 years old, Molly is a pro when it comes to what busy moms actually need for Mother's Day - as well as those who are still struggling to conceive.
For those who have infants and toddlers at home, Molly curated a collection of her favorite gifts in partnership with eBay, and proceeds benefit Baby2Baby, a nonprofit charity that provides essentials for low-income little ones. But as you shop for the amazing mom in your life, Molly doesn't want you to forget about those who are hurting in silence on this particular day.
"It's tough because it's a really hard pill to swallow," Molly told POPSUGAR. "You just have to be supportive of the mom, check in with her, and not be afraid to say anything or acknowledge it because it might hurt her feelings - nine times out of 10, it won't."
Another thing to keep in mind is that these ladies are constantly reminded of what they don't have, even if you don't say anything at all. "It's very difficult to want something, and with Facebook, it's like Big Brother, because once you start googling, all of a sudden your feed becomes baby and you're not even pregnant yet," Molly explained. "It's weird how everything in your face is about baby, especially during a sensitive time like Mother's Day when everything else is about Mom, babies, kids, and family."
In addition to surprising a hopeful mom-to-be with a soothing item, like a candle, this Mother's Day, there's another priceless gift that can help during her journey. "I think the one thing about going through infertility is that it's a very anxious time, so anything that can bring down her stress is really good," Molly said. "Getting involved in different charities, like Baby2Baby, which I did before becoming a mom, is so great even for women who don't have children but want them, because they're helping babies and families in need who have absolutely nothing. Volunteering also takes the focus off of you and what you want and puts it on something else. Sometimes you need that because instead of thinking about [infertility], you just want to try to get through it."
But the most important thing to remember, especially on Mother's Day, is that not having kids isn't always a choice that childless couples make and your words are more powerful than any gift you could give. "When someone says that they don't have kids, it doesn't always mean that they don't want kids or aren't trying," Molly added. "Infertility is like this little hidden secret and sometimes you don't know what others are going through."
