Someone Made Cutouts of Sean Spicer to Place in Bushes and It's Too Good
If you're in the mood to make some political commentary with any shrubs around your house, you can now follow one person's lead and try it with a cutout of Sean Spicer's face. Meet "Garden Spicer," cutouts of Sean Spicer's face ready to be placed in among any bush or shrub near you.
Lisa Kadonaga made cutouts of Spicer's face to put in any bushes and wrote about it in a Facebook post. In the post, which has more than 15,000 reactions, 35,000 shares, and 2,000 comments, she writes "Presenting the "Garden Spicer". . . . Now you too can have the White House press secretary in - or rather, "among" - the bushes in your yard." You can read the full post ahead.
Presenting the "Garden Spicer". Here's something I made this afternoon. Now you too can have the White House press...
Posted by Lisa Kadonaga on Thursday, May 11, 2017
The story about Spicer hiding in some bushes near the White House begins on May 9. Spicer tried to dodge questions about President Trump's firing of former FBI director, James Comey, by going towards some bushes. The story, which was almost too ridiculous to believe, was further corrected by The Washington Post on May 10 to say Spicer wasn't hiding in the bushes but among them.
The internet quickly poked fun at the entire situation and Spicer's behavior, which makes it no surprise that someone created the "Garden Spicer." Kadonaga warns that the "image will run" if it's placed outside, but it's "exactly what Sean Spicer does, so it's totally authentic!" She also writes that she "can easily make more," so if you really want one for your own home, it might actually be possible.
What Are the Chances Senator Elizabeth Warren Takes on Trump in 2020?
It's not surprising that Democrats are crossing their fingers that Senator Elizabeth Warren decides to run in 2020. She's been a warrior in the Senate, leading the effort to regulate Wall Street, reduce student debt, and tackle campaign finance reform. Warren has also been a vocal opponent of President Trump's administration - even as he relentlessly launches racial insults at her. While speculation continues to arise about a potential bid, Warren herself has indicated she will not run . . . at least for now.
On more than one occasion, Warren's been pressed by journalists about her intention to run for president (despite the fact that she announced her Senate re-election campaign in January 2017). While promoting her recently released book, This Fight Is Our Fight: The Battle to Save Working People, during an appearance on MSBNC on April 18, Warren firmly indicated she has no plans to launch a presidential bid.
Rachel Maddow got right to the point during Warren's appearance on her show: "If you were running for president in 2020 you would not want to talk about it now, with me or anybody else, is that true?"
"That is true," Warren responded. "But let me be clear, I am not running for president in 2020."
During another interview with NBC's Today Show on April 18, Warren reiterated her position when asked by host Savannah Guthrie if she was "likely to run."
"No. This is not what I'm doing," Warren told Guthrie. "This is my 11th book. My life's work is about what's happening to working families across this country. I am running in 2018, for senator from Massachusetts."
So by her own admission, Warren has no plans to run for president. But, it's also worth noting that the next presidential election is four years away and her position could obviously change. Presidential hopefuls are known to be coy about their intentions to run.
How to Rock the Metallic Lipstick Trend Without Looking Like the Terminator
What do runway models, Kylie Jenner, Rihanna, and beauty aficionados have in common? They all have tested 2017's hottest lip trend: metallic lipstick. And they're not the only ones. It seems you can't scroll through an Instagram feed or walk down a busy city street without spotting the high-wattage shine of a lustrous lip. And according to Nick Lujan, Make Up For Ever's pro and media educator, it's completely logical that metallic lipstick is having a moment.
"Social media has shaped the way enthusiasts and artists learn about trends," he explained to POPSUGAR via email. He added that "lips are always trending," and unusual textures and finishes have also become more prevalent on Fashion Week runways (for example, the above image from Prada's Spring 2016 show). "The world is more open than ever to trying new colors and textures," said Lujan.
While applying a metallic lip is actually quite simple, wearing (and rocking!) one can be a little more challenging. Luckily, you can relax if you survived the frosted lip apocalypse of the '80s and '90s. Today's iteration of the style doesn't appear nearly as dated. This is because many of the current metallic formulas leave room for the lip color underneath to breathe.
Lujan recommends applying a lipstick in your favorite color first - "Balancing the metallic with a matte lipstick works best" - then using your finger to tap a metallic pigment on top, focusing the shimmer in the center of the lip. "The technique is similar to the nail trend of chroming or mirroring," he explained. "This will create dimension by allowing the lipstick to peek through." He recommends using Make Up For Ever Star Lit Powder ($21 each) in #2 Frozen Gold or #5 Frozen Purple to start, as they are translucent (perfect for dipping a toe into the trend!) and look gorgeous atop any lipstick shade.
Play with varying colors and textures with metallic accents to tie the overall look together.
If you're still wary of metallic lips, try a neutral or nude color to start as they are easier to wear, and keep the rest of your look minimal. "You don't want to have your lips, eyes, and cheeks in competition for attention on the face," Lujan warned. Lots of mascara, subtle sculpting, and neutral blush should be enough to ground a gleaming grin.
Should you be ready to fully commit to a chromed-out pout, go for it! Play with varying colors and textures with metallic accents to tie the overall look together. For example, if you're using metallic pigments, dust the same shades on lids and cheeks or collarbones for a body bling.
The best part, though? This technique tends to be long-wear! "Applying a top coat of ultrafine metallic-finish pigment will not only create an interesting finish, it will also lock the lipstick in place," Lujan shared. While we wouldn't recommend a hot and heavy metallic makeout session, it's a relief to know that a sip of water or a snack won't result in a sparkling disaster.
In addition to loose pigments, there are plenty of formulas available on the market to help you master the metallic lip look. Keep reading to shop some of our favorite products.
A Letter to the Mother-in-Law and Father-in-Law I'll Never Have
Dear Celene & Hugh,
These words have been in the back of my mind for months now, so I'm sorry that it look me so long to finally get them out. I know that you will never read this letter in an official sense, but I feel in the deepest part of my heart that you can still hear me. And as a writer, I've always been better at putting my feelings into letters, so bear with me for just a few minutes while I talk about your son, my soon-to-be-husband.
You see, the last year of our lives has been a mix of the happiest and saddest days. We got engaged in August, and Celene, you passed away in October. Hugh, it's so hard to believe that you've been gone for 13 years, but the stories I hear from your 10 children (seriously, 10) make me feel like I know you, and that's something I will always be grateful for. But Celene, you were in my life for five and a half wonderful years. In that time - those late nights watching murder mystery shows, the endless cups of tea, the Sunday dinners - you became like a second mom to me. While many people in my life constantly complained about their significant other's parents, I was so grateful to just have one of them . . . and to love you as much as I did, and still do.
I promise to never, ever let you leave us, despite the fact that you're not here.
I know that you both know your son very well (you're his parents, after all), and that you continue to watch over him together. You were there for every scraped knee, missed homework assignment, and movie night. You proudly sat at his graduations, dressed him up in funny outfits for picture day, and, from what I hear, always let him curse the way he does now (I love it, to be honest). But every time I think about the future - our upcoming wedding day, having our first child, needing help when buying him a birthday gift - the hole in my heart seems to get just a little bit bigger. His past is wrapped up entirely in you, and it breaks my heart that we have to build a future together without you there.
When you get married, the deal is that you inherit the other person's family whether you like them or not. And it's almost a fashionable thing to complain about your in-laws (they're around too much, my mother-in-law is so invasive, can they knock?!), but having you two as my second set of parents would have brought nothing but more love and joy to my life. And you know why I'm so sure? Because of your son. You raised such an incredible man. The kind of man that still called you "darling" and "love" whenever he called home, Celene. The kind of man that fiercely respects women because of you, Hugh. The kind of man that has made our life together so wonderful because of the example you two set for him - his parents that used to fall asleep holding hands every night.
And I wish you were here so that I could tell you all of this in person, dance with you at our wedding, and call you for advice once we start a family (seriously, 10 kids? How. Did. You. Do. That.), but the fact that you're not hits me on a daily basis. You're Mom and Dad No. 2 for me, and I want you know that I promise to never, ever let you leave us, despite the fact that you're not here. Because as heartbroken as we are by your absence, I can still always feel you around . . . something I don't ever plan on complaining about.
Love,
Your Daughter-in-Law

5 Major Stars Are Leaving Once Upon a Time Along With Jennifer Morrison
Once Upon a Time will be losing quite a few core characters when it returns for its newly announced seventh season. Following the heartbreaking announcement of Jennifer Morrison's exit as Emma Swan, ABC has confirmed that Rebecca Mader (Zelena), Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White), Josh Dallas (Prince Charming), Jared Gilmore (Henry), and Emilie de Ravin (Belle) will not be returning after season six. Lana Parrilla (Regina), Robert Carlyle (Rumple), and Colin O'Donoghue (Captain Hook) are all confirmed to return. On Friday, showrunners Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz gave a heartfelt farewell to the exiting cast in an official statement:
"Words can't do justice to what Ginny, Josh, Emilie, Rebecca and Jared brought to Once Upon a Time . . . but we'll try … never have we had the privilege of working with a more talented group of collaborators. Each brought unique talent, incredible intelligence, and their own individual bit of magic as they gave life to these iconic characters . . . We can't thank them enough for the hard work, dedication and passion they delivered day in and day out. Without them there would be no Once Upon a Time. As Once continues, this group will always be the beating heart of the show. And even though we won't be with them every week, in a show about magic and hope, we fervently believe it won't be the last we see of them.
Ginny reinvented Snow White for a modern audience - there was no way she would be stuck cleaning up after dwarfs, she created an iconic empowered heroine for the 21st century. Josh mined the depths of Prince Charming – a character who in myth was just a 'type' but in his superlative interpretation became a complex man fighting for love and family.
Emilie took the character of Belle to a deep and soulful place, bringing great intelligence and warmth to the character, making her fiercely independent, strong willed but also an eternal optimist who saw only the best in all those she encountered.
Rebecca took us on a broomstick roller coaster ride as she reinvented the Wicked Witch of the West by finding the pain beneath the green. She made the character soar to incredible heights while always keeping her grounded and relatable.
Jared literally grew up before the eyes of millions, from a child actor with enormous innate talent to a young man whose abilities continue to astound as he created a character who truly, as we say on the show, has the heart of the truest believer.
There are set endpoints to different stories, but that doesn't mean there aren't new stories for different characters. I think that by the end of the season finale, a lot of what we've been doing for the last six years is wrapped up - we hope in a very satisfying way - and then we move forward in a way that at the end of it, hopefully you'll see what we're hoping to do in season seven."
While it's hard to imagine how the show will go on without these beloved characters, some fans think the upcoming finale will include a time jump with guest star Andrew J. West playing an adult Henry. There might even been a change of scenery as well, by taking the trio back to the Wish Realm. Does that mean Sean Maguire will also reprise his fan-favorite role as Robin Hood? Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

This Insane Tostones Burger Will Make You Ditch Regular Buns For Good
There are truly few better feelings than sinking your teeth into a giant, juicy burger . . . but that feeling is approximately 3,000 times more satisfying when the buns of that burger are fried plantains! For South Florida residents and visitors, that heaven-sent combination is a reality, thanks to the folks at Pincho Factory.
This restaurant has quite the crave-inducing menu - we're talkin' quesadilla burgers (woah), cajun french fries, and hot dogs with insane toppings. But by far its most genius items are the burgers and chicken sandwiches that swap regular ol' buns for smashed tostones in all their salty, deep-fried glory. We've seen similar versions of this in Puerto Rican food, and Chicago has its own tasty take on it (the jibarito), which typically includes thinly sliced steak as the main meat. But this is the first time we've seen tostones buns on a cheeseburger, and we think we're in love.
If you're ready to drool all over yourself, read on to catch a glimpse at the picture-perfect tostones burgers and sandwiches at Pincho Factory. We might be DIY-ing this recipe at home in the near future!

Designers Aren't Making Animal Print Like They Used To
We're not saying you should quit wearing your leopard-printed loafers or retire your zebra-stripe clutch, but you should absolutely introduce the new animal pattern to your wardrobe. Rather than spots or furry embellishments, designers are taking things to a literal level, splashing tops, dresses, swimsuits, and even shoes with playful animal figures.
Gucci and Stella McCartney might do it best; Alessandro Michele launched the trend with zebra and cat-faced pussy-bow blouses and Stella introduced her wild horses to one-pieces and track pants. But we'll allow you to be the judge and decide which iteration you like best. After all, the new animal pattern is everywhere you look - from Zara and Forever 21 to the pages of Net-a-Porter.

How 1 City Is Coming Together After the Nation's Only Anne Frank Memorial Was Defaced
Statistics show that incidents of hate crimes rose sharply across the United States in 2016, coinciding with a presidential campaign in which different races and religions were often pinpointed as sources of America's issues. But expressions of hate often spark a more ardent motivation to quell intolerant ideology. Such is the case at the Wassmuth Center For Human Rights in Boise, ID, where the city's Anne Frank Memorial was just defaced with offensive anti-Semitic graffiti.
On May 9, a custodian discovered hateful tags scrawled on the memorial and alerted the foundation's docent, who was scheduled to tour students that day. As the only Anne Frank Memorial in the United States - and one of the only monuments worldwide to fully display the Universal Declaration of Human Rights - the monument is a vital symbol of humanity, even when it seems lost.
POPSUGAR spoke with Dr. Dan Prinzing, the organization's executive director, about the incident. He says it serves as a reminder to continue fighting against bigotry and prejudice through education. The center has not released (nor does it plan on releasing) what the defacement said, because that's not really the point: what matters is how the community responds to this injustice.
"Our programming has always been about how do we recognize the spiral of injustice," Prinzing said. "Often that spiral begins with language, when words are used as weapons, when we begin to target and marginalize others in the community."
He says the community response has been "overwhelming," and that at least two state lawmakers were swift in their calls to the Wassmuth Center after the incident was reported. It's also worth noting that this incident was the first time hateful words or symbols had been directed at the memorial since it was first dedicated in 2002. "This is not us," Prinzing added. "Us is how we respond to this and that's what frames us as a community."
And the community has responded with more than just phone calls of support: Prinzing said at least two funding campaigns have been set up to cover the $20,000 required to replace marble, which cannot be repaired without damaging the memorial's engravings.
"Someone may have tried to deface [the memorial]," Prinzing said, "but they cannot destroy the meaning."

This Tiny Town in Indonesia Has Turned Into a Rainbow Wonderland
The small town of Kampung Pelangi in Semarang, Indonesia, is being transformed into a rainbow tourist attraction. The government put tens of thousands of dollars into the project in an effort to make the village a place that visitors would flock to, therefore boosting the economy. The Indonesian Builders Association also helped by providing paint and hiring workers. It's only been a month since the project has been completed, but the country already considers it a huge success. People from all over the world are coming to see the vibrant area.
The town has also started selling food and souvenirs to travelers. Not only is this project great for the economy, but it is also a wonderful example of a community coming together to make a difference. Many locals participated in making this project come to life. Because of the teamwork, their goal was completed efficiently. According to Lonely Planet, residents of Kampung Pelangi are "thrilled" with the results. Not only is this an effort to bring money to the country, but it also aims to improve the quality of life for the people living in town. Take a look at some of the spectacular photos.
The Heartbreaking Thing Prince William Told Diana After She Lost Her Title in the Divorce
Image Source: Getty / Anwar Hussein
When Prince Charles and Princess Diana ended their marriage in 1996, their oldest son, Prince William, was just 14 years old. At the time, he was a student at Eton College studying biology, art history, and geography and playing soccer and water polo. He hadn't yet begun his official royal duties or military career. For all intents and purposes, he was a normal teenager - besides, you know, the whole being king one day thing - and most normal teenagers are pretty bummed about their parents splitting up. But as second in line to the British throne, William recognized his (future) power and made a promise to his mother that is both incredibly adorable and incredibly heartbreaking.
Charles and Diana's divorce was finalized in August 1996, but some drama surrounding her royal title ensued. Queen Elizabeth II reportedly wanted to let Diana keep the style of her royal highness, but Charles was "adamant" that she give it up - instead, she was given the title Diana, Princess of Wales. The loss of the honorific separated Diana from the rest of the family in such a way that she had to curtsy to those that had it, including her own children. William is said to have comforted his mother after the loss of her title by saying, "Don't worry, Mummy, I will give it back to you one day when I am king."
Tragically, Diana was killed in a car crash just a little over a year after William made his touching vow to her. In the decades after her death, both he and his brother, Harry, have opened up about their mother, sharing stories about their time with her as well as honoring her impact, both with the charities they support and the traditions she's passed on to them.

Pippa Middleton Might Be the Bride, But She Just Wore the Perfect Wedding Guest Dress
Whether you're attending a friend's wedding, Pippa Middleton's wedding (lucky you), or just a really fancy dinner, there's no denying Pippa's Erdem dress is appropriate. The sleeveless jacquard design, slightly muted in color but jazzed up thanks to embellishments at the waist and neckline, is really quite a dream.
The bride-to-be stepped out on her way to the ParaSnowBall fundraiser in London wearing the midi with a glittering clutch and suede caged heels. Her engagement ring and tiny drop earrings added some extra sparkle and ensured party guests would look her way (in case they forgot May is her special month). 13 Little Things You Do That Are So Damn Sexy (According to Men)
Women are incredibly beautiful beings. Everything from your shape to your form and the way you carry yourselves - guys appreciate all of it. Trust me. But I will admit there are some things you can do that exceed simple appreciation and take us over the edge.
These things aren't grand gestures by any means, just small things you do that make an impact on us whether you know it does or not. My job here is to let you know what these things are. So without further adieu, here are the little things you do that attract us.
1. When you have a passion for something
Aside from us (of course), it's very sexy to see you love something; to have a deep passion. Whether that passion's for work, a hobby, or a worthy cause, it doesn't matter; being passionate shows a guy that you're a romantic and want something more for yourself. And - especially since a single-income household is a thing of the past - this trait is super hot.
For instance, my girlfriend is passionate about many things, and all of these passions further attract me to her.
For one, she's vegan and her passion for animals is nothing short of inspiring. How she eats a plate of vegetables while I'm mowing down on a gourmet burger across the table I'll never know. Two, she's an incredible baker and bakes whenever she has free time. Because of this, she's managed to turn her art degree into a baking career, where she's head baker at one of the biggest bakeries in our city, just because her employers saw the passion I had seen in her, and rewarded her for it.
2. When you're decisive
It seems like nobody's decisive these days. Even if the question is merely, "What should we have for dinner?" The question's usually met with an indecisive response, like: "I don't care, you decide" or "Whatever you feel like." Neither of these are actual answers, meaning they aren't helpful. Somebody who can make decisions shows a certain assertiveness, which goes hand in hand with confidence: something everybody appreciates in a partner.
3. When you get along with our friends
"A girl who can hang," is a top priority in any heterosexual man's relationship. There's nothing that makes us feel more confident in our relationship than knowing we can confidently leave you at a party for a bit and you can stand your ground with our buddies and their significant others without any social assistance. The last thing any man needs is a human bracelet who wants to go home 15 minutes in.
4. When you touch us
We love your touch, especially when said touch is an indication of protection. We love knowing that you feel safe and protected with us, and the way you physically touch us helps illustrate this fact in an authentic way.
Whether you grip our arm and take note of our bicep, rub our shoulders just because, or rest your head under our arms before bed, all of these things enforce the idea that we've made you feel safe and secure. And that feeling is as good as gold.
5. When you make us feel useful
Can't lift something or open that stubborn pickle jar? Just ask us. Everybody likes to feel useful even in the smallest of ways, and guys tend to like using strength as a means of being useful. Not because you're weak, but because we're strong - or at least we like to be told we are. You see where I'm going with this. Just let us open the jar.
6. When you know dirty rap lyrics
My girlfriend just recently became a huge fan of Drake, and I love this. Not only is Drake one of my favorite artists, but she's since downloaded his album, Views, and can rap almost every lyric already. I'm talking a matter of weeks.
We recently took a little road trip together and she displayed these musical talents on the ride; it was incredibly hot. Why? I'm not so sure. Maybe it's because rap music tends to be dominant and filthy, riddled with sexual innuendo, which is a nice alternative to witness in my suburban girlfriend.
7. When you wear our clothes
When you wear our clothes - which tend to be oversize in the best of ways, draping subtly off your shoulders and hanging a few inches above your knees - it's intensely attractive. This sartorial decision enforces the idea that you love - or at least care for - us. The fact that you opt for our clothes over your own is as good as a signed contract of your love. OK, maybe that was a tad drastic, but you get it.
8. When you initiate anything sexual
Sure, a guy might initiate sex most of the time, but if you switch things up and play the dominant role, he's not going to hate it, I assure you. It's nice to feel sexually desired by a woman, (and what better way to do so than initiate a sexual encounter!) because, I mean, men need love too!
9. When you appreciate things we've done
Like feeling useful, every man wants to feel appreciated. So like, if we grabbed you a coffee before work and brought it home when you wake up on your day off, at least text us saying thank you.
Though tasks such as these shouldn't always be addressed because doing nice things for each other is just part of being in a relationship, it's nice to give credit where credit is due (at least every now and then), and it doesn't take much effort.
10. When you do something you don't like just because we do
When you do something you don't like because you know that we love it, it just goes to show your man how much you care about him. It's considerate and should indeed be reciprocated by us as well. If your man doesn't, give him hell.
11. When you wear lipstick
Maybe this one's just me, but I LOVE it when my girlfriend throws on some lipstick before we attend a formal event. Even if it's not a super formal occasion and just a nice dinner out, she knows I like it when she throws on lipstick, so she tends to do this on any occasion that allows for it.
I don't know what it is about the stuff. It captures a classic beauty that I've appreciated in women since I was a child. And with me at least, the more bizarre the color, the better. A bold choice in lipstick shows both a confidence and an edginess that I've been known to admire in the fairer sex.
12. When you genuinely get along with the folks
You're supposed to like the in-laws, but do you really? Even if you don't love them, any effort you put in with our folks is a turn-on for any man. Mom carries a lot of weight in men's relationships (like Dad does in yours), so any effort will ultimately be rewarded.
Whether you help them out by chopping vegetables before dinner, set the table, or merely visit them without us is so incredibly attractive because you're making an effort with us, but more importantly, with two of the most influential people in our lives.
13. When the dog loves you
As it goes with any pet-lover, these critters are considered a part of the family. And just as important as our parents' opinion of you, is our pet's.
If our dog starts treating you like family, it reinforces the idea that we're dating a good person. Because all animal-lovers believe that animals are fantastic judges of character.
12 Zumba Videos to Danny Ocean's "Me Rehúso" That'll Have You Dancing All Day Long
Danny Ocean's 2016 song "Me Rehúso" isn't going anywhere. Not only are the lyrics releatable (it talks about not giving up on love), but the beat is super high energy, which could only mean one thing: it lends itself perfectly for some dope Zumba routines.
The instructors ahead took the hit and created intense choreography that will make you break a sweat while still having fun. Workout to them alone at home or, honestly, do it with friends - these are that fun!
You Might Not Want to Wear Stripes After Hearing This Scary News
From our pants to our beach towels, our dresses, and everything in between, stripes have been a staple in our wardrobes for as long as we can remember, but a new study has found some alarming effects the pattern could have on our health. Researchers from the University Medical Centre (UMC) Utrecht in the Netherlands found that striped patterns can trigger activity in the brain that causes headaches, migraines, and in severe cases, epilepsy. The study saw that parallel lines triggered strong "gamma oscillations" in the brain in a way that other patterns did not.
But before you run home to throw away your favorite striped shirt, it's important to point out that it's not only striped clothing that could be harming your health. There are a ton of other everyday items around you causing this tension.
"Our findings imply that in designing buildings, it may be important to avoid the types of visual patterns that can activate this circuit and cause discomfort, migraines, or seizures," said Dr. Dora Hermes, a researcher at UMC. "Even perfectly healthy people may feel modest discomfort from the images that are most likely to trigger seizures in photosensitive epilepsy."
Migraines are something that so many people deal with, but when the ibuprofen stops working, avoiding parallel lines should be the next step.
Katy Perry's Gross New Video Is Here to Ruin Your Appetite Forever
Katy Perry has unveiled her video for "Bon Appétit," and let's just say we'd prefer if she maybe kept it to herself. The Migos collaboration is paired with footage of Perry being treated like a literal piece of meat, or pasta, or something edible. (I have no idea what type of food requires being lifted by a gaggle of chefs, then floured, kneaded, boiled, and plated for a buffet at a nightclub.) If you didn't think Santa Clarita Diet was gross enough, watch this.
A Brief Summary of Everything, Everything For Everyone Who Didn't Read the Book
Warning: Contains major spoilers!
Everything, Everything is guaranteed to make your hearts swell and cheeks wet with tears when it hits theaters on May 19. If you read the bestselling novel by Nicola Yoon, then you already know, well, everything, everything there is to know. But if you plan on just going to the movies to see the beautiful story unfold on the big screen, then we have the perfect rundown of what it's about right here.
Much like The Fault in Our Stars, Everything, Everything is about a sick teenage girl who falls in love with a boy. Sounds pretty simple, right? Wrong. The story follows Madeline (Maddy) Whittier, an 18-year-old who is confined to her home because she suffers from SCID, or severe combined immunodeficiency. Since Maddy could be deathly allergic to anything, she can't go outside or interact with anyone who hasn't been properly sanitized. Her days consist of going to school online, reading books, having movie and game nights with her mom, and talking with her nurse, Carla. Maddy's brother and father died in a car accident when she was just a baby.
While she is quite content with her life, everything changes when a new family moved into the house next door. Maddy immediately takes notice of Olly, a teenage boy whose bedroom window is directly across from hers. The two strike up a friendship after talking online, and after Maddy begs Carla to let them meet in person, Olly gets properly sanitized and comes over when Maddy's mom isn't home (since she's so overprotective, Carla doesn't tell her). The visits become more frequent, and Maddy and Olly slowly begin to fall for each other. However, once Maddy's mom finds out about their secret meetings, she fires Carla and bans Maddy from ever seeing Olly again.
Maddy begins to withdraw from Olly because she doesn't want to torture herself with wanting a life she can't have, but that doesn't last long. After booking plane tickets to Hawaii, Maddy convinces Olly to go with her by lying and saying she's on medication that will prevent her from getting sick. After they arrive, they do everything from snorkeling to cliff jumping, but Maddy falls ill one night and is taken to the hospital, where her heart stops. Her mom flies to Hawaii to take her home, and Maddy wakes up back in her bedroom living under the same strict rules. But a few weeks later, she receives a letter from the doctor who treated her in Hawaii, telling her she doesn't have SCID after all and only got sick because she's spent her entire life inside without ever having the chance to develop a proper immune system.
After digging around her mom's office for her nonexistent medical files, she confronts her about not being sick, which her mom initially denies. Maddy and Carla then secretly send away blood tests, which come back and confirm that she's fine. Her mom then breaks down and admits that she made the whole thing up because she didn't want to lose her after already having lost Maddy's brother and father. While Maddy and Olly continue to text and email, Olly moves away while she decides to stay and look after her mentally ill mother. But Maddy quickly realizes that she can't keep living her life for her mom, so she travels to New York and happily reunites with Olly.

Gordon Ramsay Officially Shuts Down Unicorn Foods in 1 Sentence
Updates to Gordon Ramsay's mobile game Restaurant Dash With Gordon Ramsay went out this week, so I spoke to the chef about the new releases and his new favorite past-time: Twitter roasting. I also couldn't help but wonder his thoughts on an outrageous new food trend circulating social media. In good, old-fashioned chef Ramsay manner, he tactfully shuts it down. Read on and weep with laughter.
POPSUGAR: In Restaurant Dash, if your timing, accuracy, or equipment is bad . . . your diners won't be happy. In real life, this applies too. For you as a diner, what are immediate signs of really bad restaurant? As in, you should walk out?
Gordon Ramsay: Good question . . . rude staff, bad lighting, and dirty bathrooms are all signs of a bad restaurant and a good reason to leave a restaurant!
PS: Can you share any new Gordon Ramsay insults that have been added to the game?
GR: I seem to be known for a certain set of kitchen dialogue, don't I? Those phrases are certainly still in the game, perhaps with greater frequency now, but only when players really mess up. The ability for players to customize their avatar is a key component of the game. Some of the new voiceover pokes fun at the selection of certain chef's jackets, hats, and other items. It's a lot of fun.
PS: What new foods / recipes have been added to the game?
GR: The new venue is called Kiwi Cottage and it's located in New Zealand - a country I love! Some of the recipes players are challenged to cook up include pavlova (of course), chocolate lamington, and ginger gems.
PS: You've become famous for your Twitter roasts of your fans' homemade food. It's becoming the next generation of "Pinterest Fails". What inspired you to start responding to them?
GR: Honestly, I had enough of people tagging me in shots of their food pictures that they thought were amazing, when they were terrible. I've always given out a lot of tough love on TV, so I figured the Twitterverse was prepared for it. Now, if everyone could just cook properly I wouldn't have a problem.
PS: You've weighed in on crazes like the pineapple pizza debate. What are your thoughts on the unicorn food trend?
GR: Unicorns are meant for children's tales, not food. Period.
Most People Wouldn't Sip Wine at a Fashion Show, but Rihanna Is Not Most People
Rihanna showed up in style for Dior's Cruise 2018 runway show in Calabasas, CA, on Thursday. The "Work" singer rocked her cowgirl finest as she walked into the function with a hair flip, then shared a laugh with Kelly Rowland before taking her seat in the front row next to rapper Big Sean. In true Rihanna fashion, she held on to a glass of white wine as she took in the show - remember, this is the same legend who brought her own flask to the Grammys, so . . .
Rihanna has been having an exciting May; she recently shut down the Met Gala with her jaw-dropping Comme des Garcons look and linked up with pal Lupita Nyong'o inside for some much-needed selfies, and she dropped new styles for her Fenty x Puma line days later. Keep reading to see Rihanna's night out for Dior.
Riverdale's First Season Just Left Us With a Bunch of Questions
As swiftly as it came into our lives, Riverdale's first season has concluded - leaving a trail of mysteries in its wake. We have plenty of time to theorize about what may happen on season two, but before we get too ahead of ourselves, let's take stock of how season one ends. Spoiler alert: I'm going over every major event from the finale.
Let's start with Cheryl. Mama Blossom is being crazy-stoic after Clifford's funeral. (He did murder Jason, but still.) Cheryl starts being all nice and it weirds out Veronica . . . until Veronica realizes that Cheryl is going to attempt suicide. Archie and the gang save her at the last minute, but Cheryl finds another way to start fresh: she burns down the mansion at Thornhill.
Meanwhile, Jughead is now in the custody of the state. FP can't care for him in prison and Fred has a DUI on his record, so they place him with a foster family on the South Side. He actually seems to fit in down there, even inheriting his dad's place in the Serpents gang. FP warns Archie not to give up on Jughead, even though Juggy will try to detach.
One of two major new mysteries is the identity of Alice Cooper's long-lost baby. She tells Betty that she gave up a child as a high school student, meaning Betty has a brother out there somewhere. We have a theory that FP is actually the daddy and Joaquin is their son, but we probably won't find out the truth for a while.
Right before the episode ends, everything is going great for Archie. He goes to meet his dad at Pop's (he thinks Fred wants to talk about something serious), but while he's washing his hands in the bathroom, a masked gunman comes in. The man shoots Fred, and though he doesn't die on camera, a voice-over from Jughead says that this is the moment Riverdale's innocence was really lost. Does this mean Fred's dead? And who is the shooter?
We'll have to wait until season two to find out!

The man shoots Fred, and though he doesn't die on camera, a voice-over from Jughead says that this is the moment Riverdale's innocence was really lost. Does this mean Fred's dead? And who is the shooter?
We'll have to wait until season two to find out!
8 Shows You Should Watch If You're Obsessed With Riverdale
Riverdale has quickly become the new It show on The CW. With all the mystery, drama, and hot eye candy, what's not to love? Perhaps the reason we can't get enough of the series is because it reminds us of some of our other favorite TV shows. That love triangle between Betty, Veronica, and Archie? Totally Gossip Girl. The continuous question about who really killed Jason? So much like Twin Peaks. Not to mention the subtle retro vibe reminds us of Stranger Things. See which other popular series Riverdale has similarities to.
GR: The new venue is called Kiwi Cottage and it's located in New Zealand – a country I love!
Period.

How Miss USA Contestant Sarah Mousseau Stays Confident While Living With Alopecia
Sarah Mousseau is Miss New Hampshire and a contestant in the upcoming Miss USA competition. Here, she bravely shares her struggle with alopecia and vitiligo exclusively with POPSUGAR. Tune in to FOX on Sunday, May 14, at 8 p.m. ET to watch the Miss USA competition live.
People can struggle with confidence at any age, and building it in your early years is essential as you get older. I was 8 years old when my mom noticed I had patches where my hair had fallen out on the back of my head. A doctor's visit a few weeks later confirmed that I was losing my hair due to the autoimmune disease alopecia.
Alopecia areata causes hair loss in some or all areas of the body, usually from the scalp, because the immune system mistakenly attacks hair follicles. You can imagine how hard this was for me to understand as a young child. (Doctors still aren't even sure why this happens, and there is no cure for the disease.)
I tried to not allow the hair loss to bother me and even refused the painful treatments that could potentially prevent the hair loss. When my parents expressed concern with my well-being and how I was handling it emotionally, I would nonchalantly tell them, "I'm not dying - if I lose all of my hair, you can just put a wig on me!"
I learned that my self-worth was determined not by my outward appearance, but by life experiences and opportunities.
However, as I entered my teenage years, I began to experience the insecurities that so many young girls do when we enter middle school and high school. I was embarrassed by how I looked and was filled with self-doubt. I wouldn't acknowledge the cause of it and tried hard to cover up new bald spots as they appeared. Later, I was also diagnosed with vitiligo, another autoimmune disease which caused large patches of my skin to lose pigmentation.
It took a long time, but as I grew older, these diseases bothered me less and less. I learned that my self-worth was determined not by my outward appearance, but by life experiences and opportunities. I found myself through singing and songwriting and through academics, excelling in school and eventually earning my Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology. I began to see these "flaws" as just another part of me. I grew into the confident woman I am today by not only accepting my differences, but embracing them as a part of who I am.
Several weeks ago, I noticed new bald spots on my scalp. Instantly my confidence was shaken, as I knew I was leaving for the Miss USA competition in just a few weeks. I felt as if I was back in high school all over again. I was anxious, self-conscious, and worried about how this would impact my time at Miss USA. In the weeks that have followed, I keep thinking back to my childhood, asking myself, "What would 8-year-old Sarah do?" I repeat my mantra to myself: you are enough. I am confident and comfortable enough in myself to know that these "imperfections" are what shaped me into the woman I am today.
