There's a waterfall in Brazil that's for true adventurers only: it appears to "swallow" people whole beneath a rock and spit them back out on the other side. Pedra que Engole, or "a stone that swallows," is in Trindade, Rio de Janeiro, and it attracts people not only for its beautiful views along the river, but also for its adrenaline-increasing activity.
Once you reach the rock formations after a bit of a hike, you'll come across the small waterfall that sucks you in with its rapidly gushing water. People scoot right up to the opening between the stones and push themselves downward before they completely disappear beneath them. It looks like they're either crushed or trapped underneath the rocks, but they come out safely on the other side a few seconds later. Your Spoiler-Free Guide to Ant-Man and the Wasp's Postcredits Scenes
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a little intense lately, no? Between all that gut-wrenching death and destruction - not to mention those disintegrating heroes - I have no problem admitting that I'm still emotionally shattered from watching Avengers: Infinity War. Enter: Ant-Man and the Wasp.
The lighthearted (but still immensely thrilling) follow-up to the 2015 original is a welcome addition to the MCU, switching out planetary disasters with 10-foot-tall Hello Kitty Pez dispensers that cartwheel through the air to slam bad guys off their motorcycles. Sure, it's a little sillier than most Marvel fare, but time spent watching Evangeline Lily kick the sh*t out of . . . well, just about everyone is not time wasted. So, if you have plans on watching Ant-Man and the Wasp, should you stick around for any postcredit scenes? Absolutely.
The sequel features two bonus scenes: one midcredits and one postcredits. The first is the most important, serving to provide some context for how Paul Rudd's Scott Lang will tie into Avengers 4 (and potentially Captain Marvel, somewhere down the line). While the second scene isn't nearly as integral to the story, I still highly recommend staying seated so you can catch the fun footage for yourself.

Ant-Man 3 May Not Be Confirmed, but We Haven't Seen the Last of Him
Warning: spoilers for Ant-Man and the Wasp ahead!
With Ant-Man and the Wasp in theaters on July 6, some audiences might already be thinking ahead to what's next. After the credits for the new film roll, the standard "Ant-Man and the Wasp will return." pops up . . . but then the period turns into a question mark. The Marvel Cinematic Universe at large follows up with Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 next year, but what about Ant-Man? If you were confused or just want to know when you can expect to see Scott Lang again, read on.
The first postcredits scene in Ant-Man and the Wasp touches on Thanos's finger-snap from Avengers: Infinity War. Half of the universe disappears in its wake, including Hope van Dyne (aka the Wasp), Hank Pym, and Janet van Dyne. Scott, however, remains trapped in the Quantum Realm without their help. We can expect to see him playing an important role in Avengers 4 as he escapes the Quantum Realm and hopefully gets Hope back now that they've reconciled and are hosting mini movie nights together with Cassie.
After Avengers 4, though, Marvel's slate is clean. While a Black Panther sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Guardians of the Galaxy 3 are all confirmed, none have set dates and no other details have emerged. As for Ant-Man, well . . . Paul Rudd, who stars as Scott, remains unsure about Marvel's future plans for the sizeable superhero. "I have no idea whether or not - if they'll do anything else with this. Marvel's very good at keeping their cards close to their chest, not just with the public," Rudd said during an interview with ScreenRant. Costar Michael Peña, who plays Luis, has a bit more faith, though. "I don't know if they'll use me for the third movie; I still really don't know," he said back in January, implying a third film could be in the works.
While Marvel reportedly won't reveal its Phase 4 slate until after the release of the fourth Avengers film next year, Rudd does have ideas for a third film. "One of the things I think does separate this is this whole thing about family and parents and kids - and certainly my relationship with Cassie is a huge component of it. . . . It does seem like it's their family business," he said.
As comic book readers may know, Scott's daughter, Cassie, steps up to the plate with her own superpowers when she grows up. She eventually joins the Young Avengers as Stature. Considering that Avengers 4 reportedly cast actress Emma Fuhrmann to play an older version of Cassie, the MCU could still feature a continuation of the Ant-Man legacy, even if it's not another standalone film. Scott, Hope, and Cassie might grace the screen in future Avengers movies, or Phase 4 could veer toward Young Avengers films.
For now, though, rest assured that we'll see Scott and company at least one more time . . . probably.
Trans Actors Criticize Scarlett Johansson's Tone-Deaf Rub & Tug Casting: "A Mess"
Scarlett Johansson and director Rupert Sanders are courting controversy yet again. After being slammed with claims of whitewashing for their 2017 film, Ghost in the Shell, the pair decided to give it another go with a new film titled Rub & Tug, which tells the true story of crime boss Dante "Tex" Gill, a transman who operated massage parlors and prostitution rings in Pittsburgh in the 1970s. When it was announced that Johansson, a cisgender woman, will be the one to play the role of Tex, backlash immediately erupted, sparking an important conversation about the lack of acting jobs for trans actors in Hollywood.
So far, a number of trans actors have spoken out against Johansson's decision to play Tex, pointing out that a trans actor should be cast instead. In fact, in response to the criticism, Johansson's rep said in a rather flippant statement to Bustle that any angry reactions should "be directed to Jeffrey Tambor, Jared Leto, and Felicity Huffman's reps for comment" - all cisgender actors who received critical acclaim for their portrayals of trans characters. Trace Lysette, who portrays Shea on Transparent, shared her frustrations on Twitter on Tuesday.
"Oh word?? So you can continue to play us but we can't play y'all?" she tweeted. "I wouldn't be upset if I was getting in the same rooms as Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett for cis roles, but we know that's not the case. A mess."

Lysette wasn't the only trans star to get vocal about Johansson's role on social media. Sense8's Jamie Clayton pointed out that trans actors typically only get to audition for trans roles, so by casting the Isle of Dogs actress instead of trans talent, it's whittling away what little opportunities exist to begin with.

Prince William's Scotland Visit Will Make You Wish There Were More People Like Him in the World
Prince William is on a roll! Following his tour of the Middle East, the royal paid a special visit to Scotland on Thursday. During his trip, William - who is known as the Earl of Strathearn in Scotland - attended a series of engagements, including the annual Service of Commemoration at the National War Memorial. While there, William paid tribute to those who died in conflicts from 1914 to present day, and also visited the Royal Society of Edinburgh, where he met with entrepreneur Michael Harkins and honored professor Richard Henderson with a royal medal for his work in the field of electron microscopy.
Scotland likely holds a special place in William's heart, given that he attended the University of St. Andrews and it's where he and Kate Middleton first met. Sadly, Kate wasn't in attendance as she's currently on maternity leave.

The Fourth of July had no shortage of fireworks this year, especially the ones going off between Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn. Instead of hosting another epic bash at her home in Rhode Island, the "Babe" singer enjoyed a romantic tropical getaway at a luxury resort in Turks and Caicos with her British boyfriend, 27, who she's been dating since May 2017. Ant-Man and the Wasp Has 2 Postcredits Scenes, and 1 Is a Grim Reminder

While Ant-Man and the Wasp is full of jokes about Baba Yaga and dinner plans with your friendly fumbling FBI agent, by the time you get through the postcredits scenes, those laughs will blow away like ash. The latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe features two postcredits scenes, one of which is super important. If you left the theater wondering about them or just want to know how the movie ends, read on!
Midcredits Scene
Hank Pym, Janet van Dyne, and Hope (aka the Wasp) are all futzing about with some equipment on the roof of a building. As it turns out, they've managed to miniaturize the quantum tunnel used to access the Quantum Realm, and they plan to send Scott in to collect some of the quantum healing particles needed by their new pal and former antagonist, Ghost. Scott zips into the Quantum Realm with an earpiece connecting him to the others, but when he finishes collecting the particles and requests a return trip, the radio remains silent. As Scott panics, left floating in the Quantum Realm, Hope, Janet, and Hank crumble away in the breeze, stranding him there.
If you wondered why the three of them disintegrated, direct your attention back a few months to the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Ultimately, the Avengers are unsuccessful in their attempts to defeat Thanos, the Mad Titan in possession of the now-completed Infinity Gauntlet. When Thanos snaps his fingers together, half of the universe is wiped out . . . including Scott's friends.
While audiences maybe expected some of Ant-Man's crew to burst into dust, leaving Scott stranded in the Quantum Realm may open a whole new can of worms. Rumors about Captain Marvel, due out next year, suggest she too has something to do with the Quantum Realm, though we still know very little about it. When Janet returns from her 20-year trip through it, she emerges with a few extra powers and some new knowledge. She warns Scott about avoiding the "time vortex" when they send him down, but it sounds like something that may feature in Avengers 4. After all, maybe Scott finds his way back to, oh, say, 2011 and the Battle of New York in time to keep Thanos from collecting at least one of the Infinity Stones?
Of course, he could reemerge in a future where his daughter, Cassie Lang, is grown and fighting evil herself as Stature - Scott's not the only superhero in the Lang family. Rumors about Avengers 4 suggest Emma Fuhrmann may be taking on the role of an older Cassie. Maybe Scott visits another reality or timeline wherein she's grown up, or maybe she joins the mysterious Phase 4 as a member of the Young Avengers. We won't know for sure until we revisit Ant-Man and company on May 3, 2019! With all the timey-wimey hints we've gotten, abandoning Scott in the Quantum Realm and specifically warning him about the time vortex lays out a few possible paths for the future . . . or the past.
Postcredits Scene
The second scene, after the very last credits roll, is much simpler with far fewer ramifications. In the aftermath of Thanos's snap, while the city of San Francisco remains ghostly quiet and an emergency alert shows on TV, a lone giant ant continues impersonating Scott Lang during his Rock-Band drum solo time. Sometimes you just have to perfect your drum skills during the apocalypse.

Just in case you had any doubts: House of Cards is doing totally fine without Kevin Spacey. In fact, it looks like season six might feature the Netflix political drama's most compelling episodes yet. In the brief first teaser, which dropped during the Oscars earlier this year, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) declares that they're "just getting started." In the latest clip, which arrived on July 4, she says "Happy Independence Day . . . to me," before the hashtag #MyTurn flashes onscreen.

Why Marilyn Monroe's Death Is Still Shrouded in Mystery, Half a Century Later
There is no actress quite as iconic as Marilyn Monroe. Born Norma Jeane Mortenson, Marilyn was the epitome of beauty and a legend in her own time. That's why her untimely death at the age of 36 felt all the more tragic.
Marilyn didn't have an easy life. Consistently abused, wracking up numerous failed relationships, and surrounded by people who used her beauty and celebrity for their own gain, Marilyn found herself sick and addicted to prescription pills. Struggling to sleep due to insomnia, she would often mix Nembutal, chloral hydrate tablets, and champagne just to fall asleep. This was on top of her prescription for the sedative Pentobarbital. This powerful concoction was dangerous, and for Marilyn proved deadly.
Lying face down on her bed, naked and covered by a sheet while still gripping her telephone, she was found dead in her Los Angeles home on Aug. 5, 1962 by her psychiatrist. Scattered across her room were empty bottles of pills meant to treat her depression. While acute barbiturate poisoning was the official cause of death, her passing has been the fodder for numerous conspiracy theories, and even the initial coroners report brought into questioning.
Identified as a likely suicide due to the amount of pills consumed, it's still unknown whether it was an accident or on purpose. Her pill cocktail was notorious for making her and others like her loopy, forgetting the amount they had consumed. Additionally, it became a common conspiracy theory that she was actually murdered for her relationships with powerful people, like President John F. Kennedy and his brother Robert Kennedy.
With little evidence to suggest murder, the most likely cause of death is the one the coroners determined all those years ago. Marilyn, unhappy, sick, and exhausted, took her own life thanks to a dangerous mix of pills that were meant to help her cope with the tragedy of her life. What is known for certain is that her prolific work as an actress and her stunning beauty will live on forever.

Miles Teller Has Officially Joined the Top Gun Sequel Cast - Here's Who He's Playing!
With movies and TV shows being rebooted left and right, it would be more surprising if Hollywood chose to leave something alone. A Top Gun sequel had been rumored for years, but now the iconic '80s film is officially being revived for a sequel starring Tom Cruise and Miles Teller, the latter of whom will be playing the son of Anthony Edwards's character, Goose. Teller reportedly beat out Nicholas Hoult, Glen Powell, Dylan O'Brien, and Austin Butler for the role, which required many of Hollywood's hottest young stars to travel to Cruise's home in Florida to audition.
As for Cruise, he's reprising his role as hot-shot pilot Maverick. The 56-year-old has been vocal about the sequel himself, and has even been sharing sneak peeks at production ever since filming began in late May. The reboot can also be traced back as far as January 2016, when Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted about it:

Bruckheimer incited a riot among fans when he tweeted this picture with his old buddy, hinting that the sequel was definitely on the table. By April 2017, Val Kilmer teased that he'd signed on to play Iceman once more, saying that Top Gun 2 would be a "hoot."
At this stage, the plot is mostly being kept under wraps. The only details that have come out about the story so far reveal that Cruise's character is now a flight instructor, and that drone technology will play a part in the events of the film. Joseph Kosinski, who previously helmed 2013's Oblivion, is directing the sequel, and told ComingSoon in October that that the sequel will be "appropriate for the times we live in."
"The Navy is very different now than it was in 1986," he explained. "It's just a different world now, so you can't remake the first movie. It has to adapt, [but] I certainly want to recreate the experience of that movie, which gives you a front seat into the world of naval aviation and what it's like to be in a fighter jet."
