Is Your Brain Being "Hijacked" by Stress and Anxiety? Here's How to Know For Sure
Your brain should not be your own worst enemy, but stress and anxiety can often make this the case. If you're constantly stressing about even the least worrisome things, Cheryl Gerson at YourTango lists ways to calm your mind and ease the vicious mental cycle of rumination.
You don't have to be a victim of your own mind.
The mental health issues of anxiety, stress, and depression go hand-in-hand with overthinking and rumination, which is where your brain puts your fears, worries, and anxieties on an endless loop. The word rumination comes from Latin, meaning "to chew over." Some animals, like cows, are called "ruminants" because they chew their cud after regurgitating it. Picture that.
Imagine an attractive, capable, artistic woman who cannot stop her obsessive, self-loathing thoughts. She is in agony. And any attempts to reason with her don't relieve her never-ending cycle of negative thoughts. Whenever she looks inward, the litany of her flaws expands, and she's unable to stop overthinking them.
Does this sound familiar?
Part of the problem with rumination is that when you suffer from it, you can't recognize it as a symptom - you see it as meaningful thought.
There's always a grain of truth in the problem. You can almost solve your dilemma, which makes it easier to fall back into the loop and keep worrying about it.
You don't recognize that the swirling thoughts are the problem. Your own hijacked thinking patterns are making you feel crazy.
Your mind is never entirely quiet. It's full of drifting thoughts about yourself. A piece of memory, the sound of a car on the street, what's for dinner, the party next week . . . When you're not focused on a task, your mind does a kind of ordinary housekeeping, both conscious and unconscious.
Some of this can be a creative "percolating" that makes useful connections (those "Eureka!" moments). Some of it is worry, when you torture yourself with fears for the future based on painful memories of the past.
It's something everyone does from time to time, but for those who regularly ruminate, it's a real problem.
Is it a problem with a solution? Yes and no. It's like a chronic disease that is always there, in the background, even when it's basically in remission. What you can do is learn to live with it more comfortably.
First and foremost, you have to recognize your rumination as a symptom. It's something you suffer from when your anxiety or depression is active. It's hard to recognize that, though. It just seems so . . . reasonable. So real. So much a part of yourself.
Recognizing rumination as a symptom begins to separate it from your picture of your true self. It becomes something you "have," rather than something you "are." Once you know it's something you have, you can begin to work with it.
The wandering mind is fertile ground for rumination. A recent study demonstrated that people are happier when they're thinking about what they're doing.
Sounds simple, doesn't it? But mental habits are very hard to break, and even your brain needs some "down" time to wander around, to do that "percolating" and other mental housework.
To accomplish a better balance, you have to retrain your brain, and retraining your brain begins with noticing.
Practice paying attention - to the task at hand, the people you're with, the thoughts in your head. Notice what's going on. Notice how your different brain states feel. Notice your mood when you're focused, and when you're day-dreaming.
When you notice, give yourself credit. Never, never take progress for granted. Every step is hard-won and worthy of attention. If all you can do is say to yourself, "I'm ruminating," that's a big step.
Enlist family and friends in the effort. You may be surprised at how aware they are of your rumination. You're not really "there" when your mind is hijacked. Tell them that they can help by noticing when you go down that rabbit hole. Try to take them at their word when they remind you of times when everything worked out just fine.
Pay attention to physical sensations. Your body is stored with memories of times when you felt pleasure and joy. You can access those memories with taste, touch, and smell.
Hear the birdsong. Listen to "your" music. Better yet, sing along. Singing affects the brain differently than ordinary speech and is rich with authentic emotion. When it's meaningful to you, it also takes you to true memories and keeps you away from the torture of scary, unknown predictions of the future.
Develop a compassionate attitude toward yourself and your efforts. I promise, you came by rumination honestly. Perhaps it was a condition your mother had, or you were dealing with someone so critical that you began to focus on being perfect. Treat yourself as well as you would treat a beloved child.
And always remember that the life you long for comes with patience and kindness.

The Fitness Marshall's Latest Dance Video to Cardi B Will Make You Say "I Like It"
I don't know about you, but I've personally been waiting for The Fitness Marshall to drop a dance video to "I Like It." Cardi B, Bad Bunny, and J Balvin's Summer banger is the perfect, high-energy song to dance to - with or without choreography. And, as usual, TFM killed it with this one.
"This video has knives, chickens, human rotisseries, and more," TFM told POPSUGAR. "It's honestly a barnyard spectacle, so be prepared to butcher this."

All We Can Say to This Woman Doing Chin-Ups While Hula-Hooping Is Holy Sh*t
We're all for a challenge, but maybe not this one! Expert hula-hooper Rachael Lust posted a video of her attempting an insane world record that involves hula-hooping and chin-ups at the same time. Each task is difficult to perform individually, so we're still trying to figure out how she managed to complete both simultaneously 12 times! It's really a full-body effort, as her core remains engaged to keep the hoop up. And if you're wondering whether Rachael successfully broke the world record, one user commented that the previous record was 11, which she beat.

You Need to Add This Water Bottle Cleaning Brush to Your Amazon Cart ASAP
If you've handwashed and dish-washed your water bottles and still can't rid their stale orders, I'm about to change your life right now. I struggled with the same problem and even considered tossing my favorite bottles at one point. No sponge was able to fit past the opening, preventing a deep clean my bottles so desperately needed. Baking soda rinse? Still cloudy.
So, I looked to Amazon to find a brush that was designed just for this job. I finally landed on a long-bottle brush by Alink ($8), which promised to clean beer, wine, and sports bottles, baby bottles, vases, teapots, tumblers, thermos, and beyond. With a four-and-a-half-star rating, I added it to my cart immediately.
Let me tell you: my bottles are squeaky freaking clean, and most importantly, odor free! The 16-inch brush is the perfect size for my 25-ounce S'well bottle and 17-ounce Soma bottle. And its bristles truly reach every crevice, thanks to the bendable handle.
If you only rinse your bottles or throw them inside the dishwasher, I can almost promise you that they're not as sanitary as you think they are. Think about it: they're constantly wet, making them a breeding ground for bacteria. Do yourself a favor, and get one of these cleaning brushes ASAP - seriously.

5 Tips For Easily Debloating Overnight
It happens to the best of us - whether it's due to that rich, delicious restaurant meal last night or the lovely side effects that accompany our periods, we wake up bloated. It's especially miserable to be bloated on a day when we're headed to the beach or have a special event that requires getting dressed up (and heaven help us if we got a form-fitting outfit for the occasion). Luckily, there are tips and tricks that can help us debloat overnight, and some of them even prevent, or at least minimize, bloating in the first place. Here's what nutritionists have to say about how to debloat and wake up feeling ready to tackle whatever it is you have planned for the day.
Why Doing a Boudoir Photo Shoot in Lingerie Was the Ultimate Form of Self-Care For Me
I've spent most of my life battling body-image issues and insecurities about my figure. I'm 5'1 and have a naturally stocky build with broad shoulders. One ex-boyfriend and his entire family used to call me Stumps because of my "big thighs." He also once told me I look like a running back because I'm so short and stout. I'm sure you can imagine how I wasn't too pleased to receive that kind of feedback from a guy who was supposed to be my greatest support.
Having been teased at school for many years as well, I entered my adult years with some emotional baggage. But the last few years have helped me regain my confidence, and I owe a lot of that to my dedication to fitness and clean eating.
Self-care practices also played a huge role in my growth of self-confidence and body acceptance. From meditating daily to journaling to attending wellness retreats, I've found all sorts of ways to take care of my mind as well as my body. One unexpected thing I did this year that contributed to better self-care was participate in a boudoir photo shoot.
It sounds strange, but posing in lingerie was an incredible way to heal my past wounds and feel stronger and more beautiful than ever. I worked with Tonhya Wysong, a professional photographer who created the project La Femme Forte, an initiative that's dedicated to helping women feel more confident in their bodies. This is how La Femme Forte acted as the ultimate self-care for me.

Does More Sweat Mean More Weight Loss? The Experts Weigh In
I tend to associate the amount of sweat I'm drenched in at the end of a workout with how intense it was. But is how much you sweat actually the best measure of how effective your workout is? And, in turn, does sweating more help you lose weight? We weren't sure, so we spoke with Meghan Nagel, the manager of fitness programming at Virtual Health Partners, and Becky Kerkenbush, MS, RD-AP, CSG, a media representative for the Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, to see what they had to say.
If you sweat more, does that mean a workout is more effective?
"Sweating isn't the best measure of workout effectiveness," Nagel said. "Sweating is simply the body's cooling mechanism, and everyone's internal air conditioners work a bit differently. Some people end up red-faced and dripping in sweat after a brisk walk, while others look cool as a cucumber after their 5 a.m. bootcamp class!" I, for one, definitely fall into the former camp - I immediately start sweating during the warmup portion of a fitness class.
What about infrared saunas and hot yoga?
Our experts said that, yes, these can help with weight loss, but you should proceed with caution. "Exercising in the heat can help you burn more calories, as your body is working hard to cool itself, but it can easily lead to dehydration," Nagel said. "If sitting in a sauna or sweating it out in Bikram yoga is your thing, make sure to drink water before, during, and after your sweat session."
If you're working out outside in the summertime, she recommends upping the intensity of your workouts gradually, as it takes around seven to 10 days to acclimate to the heat. "Wear well-ventilated clothing, pay attention to the heat index, drink lots of water (adding an electrolyte mix, if exercising longer than 60 minutes), and have fun," she said.
What if I weigh a little less after sweating?
"Weight loss through sweating is achieved because of water loss," said Kerkenbush. "True weight loss would be reduction of body fat by expending more calories than [you're] taking in, usually by a combination of proper nutrition and exercise," she explained. Since sweating is the body's cooling mechanism, she said that excessive sweating isn't really going to help you lose weight in the long run. "Safe weight loss is around a half a pound to two pounds per week," she added.
In other words, getting super sweaty during your workouts isn't necessarily going to help you lose weight. "Instead of focusing on sweat, try boosting your workout with some high-intensity bursts of cardio, picking up heavier weights, or simply taking your workout outdoors. Research shows that the varied terrain and wind resistance outdoors can help you burn more calories," Nagel said.

When a Gal Says She Wants a Sexy 1-Piece, She's Basically Describing Kim Kardashian's Suit
Kim Kardashian posted a sleek-looking photo of herself with a can of pineapple juice. Whether it's technically a bodysuit or swimsuit, the ultraflattering fit and structured ribbing make it A-OK in to wear by the pool in our book. We also love the neutral shade, which would highlight any glow you've got going for you. Even still, an engagement ring isn't visible, and we never actually see Justin get down on one knee and present the supermodel with a velvet box of any sort.
Of course, this will lead us back to Hailey's recent street style and Instagram page, where you'll find that she's been wearing a stackable diamond band on her ring finger for a long time. Since Hailey and Justin's rekindled romance seems slightly sudden and offbeat, we aren't exactly surprised that zero traditional "OMG, I'm engaged!" photos have sprouted up, but nevertheless, let's take a peek at the sparkler that Hailey just might be about to replace, shall we?

While there are many benefits to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World, one of the most consistent arguments for Disneyland's superiority is its Mickey Mouse-shaped beignets. But today we've got some great news for Floridians and Disney World enthusiasts: you can now get Mickey-shaped beignets at the Orlando resort!
According to the Disney Food Blog, the traditional puffed beignets from Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory in Disney World's Port Orleans have now transitioned into a Mickey shape. Park-goers can now pick up three beignets for $4 (with dipping sauces at an extra cost) or spring a bit extra for a $6 Mickey-shaped beignet sundae . . . for the curious, that's three piping-hot beignets topped with your choice of ice cream, sauce, and whipped cream. Ariana Grande Responds to Pete Davidson's Manchester Controversy: "It Was Unfortunate"
Ariana Grande has responded to the recently resurfaced report that Pete Davidson made a joke about the tragic bombing outside of her concert in Manchester, England on May 22, 2017. In a tweet, the singer said she did not find her fiancé's joke funny, and described the entire situation as being very "tough and conflicting" on her heart.
The joke in question reportedly took place at the Laugh Factory in LA five months after the attack that left 22 people dead. According to The Mirror, Pete said in a stand-up routine that he realized how famous Ariana had become because "Britney Spears didn't have a terrorist attack at her concert." It's worth noting that this occurred several months before Ariana and Pete became romantically involved.
After the joke was brought to light, Ariana responded to a fan's tweet about the insensitivity of Pete's remark. Ariana wrote, "He uses comedy to help ppl feel better ab how f-ed up things in this world are. we all deal w trauma differently." Adding, "Of course didn't find it funny. it was months ago & his intention wasn't/ is never malicious but it was unfortunate."

The Reason Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith Don't Say They're Married Anymore
Will Smith has always been somewhat larger than life, and the star regularly shares snippets of wisdom with his fans through interviews and Instagram stories, particularly on the topic of his enduring 20-year marriage to Jada Pinkett Smith.
Both he and Jada have said that they will never get divorced because, regardless of their marriage, they are each others' family. In a recent interview with Rap-Up, Will not only reiterated this but took it one step further, explaining that he doesn't use the term "marriage" to describe his relationship with Jada, but rather prefers "life partners." He continued to explain, "Where you get into that space where you realize you are literally with somebody for the rest of your life. There's no deal breakers. There's nothing she could do ever. Nothing that would break our relationship. She has my support till death and it feels so good to get to that space."
Judging by the couple's successful and love-filled 20-year partnership, we'll take Will's advice any day.

On Thursday, Kaley posted a funny series of videos on her Instagram Story of Karl attempting to do a top knot bun. Aww! See even more pictures from their "shoulder surgery honeymoon" ahead.

Halle Berry is always switching up her training techniques to stay in shape, and teaching us new tricks along the way through her "Fitness Friday" series on Instagram. She's been focusing on martial arts to prepare for her upcoming role in John Wick: Chapter 3, but this week, she brought the heat with an intense resistance band workout.
"I really like working with these very inexpensive bands because they require the use of my own body weight," Halle wrote in her Instagram caption. "I want to build strength while staying long and lean . . . These bands are so easy to carry that they allow me to exercise wherever I go."
Turn up the heat and tone your muscles with Halle Berry's six-move workout ahead.
A Hungry Possum Crashed This Cat's Dinner and How Are These Pictures Not a Meme Already?
An orange cat got a whole lot more than it bargained for while cruising onto the porch for dinner time. What exactly was lurking around the corner? Only a very hungry possum, of course! Thankfully, his owner known as MrRogers247 on Imgur caught their interaction on camera and shared the photos with the world alongside some hilarious captions.
While no one likes an uninvited dinner guest, by the looks of things, the kitty didn't really have any other choice other than forfeiting the kibble on the spot. Scroll through to see exactly how the possum got a free meal at this flustered cat's expense, and try not to burst out laughing at the kitty's face in the process.
How This Part of Ant-Man Could Be the Key to Saving the Lost Avengers
First introduced in the original Ant-Man, the Quantum Realm plays an even larger role in Ant-Man and the Wasp, and potentially even future MCU films. But what exactly is this psychedelic looking place? Here's what you should know.
What Is the Quantum Realm?
The Quantum Realm is an alternate dimension where the laws usually governing time and space cease to exist. First discovered by scientist Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), he realizes that the Quantum Realm is accessible by using Pym Particles to shrink objects to a subatomic level.
On their final mission together in 1987, Hank's wife Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) sacrifices her life by turning off her regulator and shrinking to a subatomic level in order to disable an incoming Soviet nuclear missile. After this incident, Hank dedicates his life's work towards trying to better understand the alternate dimension, but is ultimately unable to learn much additional information.
What Role Does It Play In the Original Ant-Man?
Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) briefly finds himself trapped drifting through the Quantum Realm when his own regulator is damaged during his fight with Darren Cross. While tumbling through the odd and colorful shapes of that dimension, a quick flash of Janet Van Dyne's Wasp costume can be seen before Scott continues to hurtle on. Having a brief moment of clarity, he replaces the shrinking regulator with an enlarging one, and is able to grow large enough to escape once again.
Where Else Have We Seen It?
We've seen the Quantum Realm pop up on the big screen in another MCU property as well. Doctor Strange is seen briefly traveling through the Quantum Realm when he first visits the Ancient One and she sends him through several dimensions and alternate realities in an attempt to open his mind to the unlimited potential of the universe. This helps us better understand that this dimension can also be reached via other magical means, including the Sling Rings wielded by the Masters of the Mystic Arts. It also briefly gets a shout-out in the season three premiere of Agents of Shield when Coulson remarks how Fitz considered searching the Quantum Realm as a potential location for Simmons who had gone missing.
How Might It Impact the Future of the MCU?
Moving forward, the Quantum Realm is bound to become even more vital to the MCU at large and is frequently mentioned as a possible solution in theories involving Captain Marvel, and how she might be able to help save the Avengers lost at the end of Infinity War. For now, we'll have to sit tight and see what secrets Scott Lang and Janet's daughter, Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lily), can discover in Ant-Man and the Wasp.
The Crown Is Replacing the Cast For Season 3 - Meet the New Stars
The Crown's third season might be just a gleam in Netflix's eye at this point, but that hasn't stopped the lavish historical drama from getting casting underway. Since the show follows the rise and fall of Queen Elizabeth II's reign in the British monarchy, we always knew that a few different actors were going to play the key characters over the years so as to accurately portray their progressing age (instead of, say, using extensive prosthetic makeup). From the perfect replacement for Claire Foy to the actress who will be stepping into Princess Margaret's badass shoes, read on to meet The Crown's season three cast - so far.
All 34 of Stan Lee's Cheeky Cameos in Superhero Movies
Watching a Marvel movie is like a game of Where's Waldo these days, except instead of a bespectacled man in red and white stripes, you're on the lookout for a comic-book legend. That legend of course is Stan Lee, creator of some of our favorite superheroes and arguably one of Marvel's best easter eggs.
While Lee has made cameos in countless Marvel movies and TV series, as well as non-Marvel shows and films (hello, Big Hero 6), his most memorable appearances are in Marvel live-action superhero movies dating back to the very first Hulk film in 1989. Here's every Lee cameo yet, with the exception of the Deadpool trailer, which, while hilarious, wasn't from the movie.
Also, fair warning: there are many Hulk and Spider-Man films on this list. Keep in mind Marvel's been through its fair share of Peter Parkers and Bruce Banners, and Lee has met them all.
4 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Choosing a Wedding Trainer
Getting married, purchasing a wedding dress, and knowing photos of you will be taken that you'll most likely be looking at for years to come can be big motivators to get into the best shape of your life. For many, hiring a personal trainer is part of wedding preparations in the months leading up to the big day. If you're choosing to go that route, know that picking the right trainer for your needs is incredibly important and can be the make-or-break factor on whether you hit the gym with dedication or cancel your appointment. We've created a list of questions you should consider to help you make the right decision.
1. What Is Your Budget?
Of course, you have a wedding budget for your venue, flowers, band, and all that jazz, but you should also consider how much you want to spend on a trainer. That number will help you determine how many times a week you can see a trainer and what the duration of each session should be. Personal training sessions can be very expensive, so doing your research ahead of time on what pricing options are available at your local health club is a big first step to hiring help.
2. How Much Time Do You Have Before Your Wedding?
Do you have 12 weeks or 12 months until the big day? More time means you might be able to spread out your sessions, see a trainer less often, and work with someone who's comfortable giving you exercises you can do on your own. A shorter time frame means you'll want to look for a trainer who has the ability to see you multiple times a week so you can cram in as many sessions as possible before the big day.
3. Do You Prefer to Work Out at Home or in a Gym?
Many trainers offer either in-home or virtual services or require you to go to a fitness club. If you plan on working out at home using a virtual option, you want to make sure you have space and some small equipment to help tone your body. An experienced in-home trainer will bring some of their own tools and advise you on any purchases you can make to have more effective workouts. To work out at a gym with an in-house trainer, you need to factor in driving time, but otherwise you don't really need much - you will automatically have access to all of the equipment that's available there.
4. Are You Willing to Exercise in a Group or Do You Want Private Sessions?
Some trainers offer group classes at discounted rates, and if you're open to exercising with other people, this could be a great way to budget for more sessions leading up to your wedding. Working out with others can give you an energy boost, and camaraderie from the group sometimes leads to a harder workout. The downside is your program may not be as personalized for your needs, and you have to be comfortable sweating and working out in front of strangers. If you're not sure of which direction to go, you can try out both scenarios before making a final decision.
Here's What to Eat in the Morning If You Usually Skip Breakfast
When it comes to your morning meal, it's often tempting to let it slide. Some people just aren't hungry in the a.m., while others are in a rush to head to work and simply don't have enough time to whip something up. Still, eating breakfast in the morning is super important, as it gives the brain and body the fuel it needs to feel energized and satiated during the day. Here are the best foods to eat in the morning when you're not really a breakfast person.
It's Time We All Stop Giving PTA Moms a Bad Rap
Dear PTA Moms,
First, I want to tell you I'm sorry. After just one PTA meeting, I became a dropout. As I sat in a room full of you well-polished women, I thought, "This scene just isn't for me." There was just too. much. smiling. As I sat there listening to your endless energy and ideas, I envisioned you all going home after the meeting to prep organic meals for your families that your children actually ate. I pictured you calm and pleasant - never yelling, or God forbid, swearing - happy, and totally in control. All of these visions are the opposite of me and my life, so about 10 minutes into that first meeting, I knew I was out.
You are so much more than those age-old stereotypes. You are mothers who go out of their way to make our kids' school memories more enjoyable.
But I also got something very wrong. Before I even set foot in that meeting, I let the PTA mom stereotypes get to me. You know those memes floating around the internet about crazy PTA moms that are bitchy and horrible? No? Good, don't look at them. But they snuck into my brain and stayed there. I talked myself into believing that I'd never fit in with this A-type crowd. I swear too much, look disheveled half the time, and forget to make sure my kids brush their teeth most days. What could I have in common with you?
As the year progressed, I sent my kindergarten-age son to some of the PTA events: after-school lock-ins, book club, and even a mother-son picnic. I volunteered from time to time, but I never actually appreciated the work that the PTA did. I overlooked all of the meticulous details you planned so carefully for our children - for my child. But finally, on one of the last days of school, my son had his field day. I drove up to volunteer, and upon getting out of my car, I stood shocked. The elementary school lawn looked like a carnival. There were bounce houses and about 20 games set up for the young children. The kids' squeals and giggles floated through the air. And the best part of the field day? It just so happened to also be my son's sixth birthday.
Yes, PTA moms, the ones I judged far too quickly, you made my son's birthday one that he'll remember for the rest of his life. He bounced between games, inhaled a couple of popsicles, and laughed the entire morning. During the field day, I chatted with many of you and realized that you're all more like me than I thought (and you didn't even outwardly judge me when I swore). I could be myself around you hard-working mothers, and we even talked about things other than our children and the PTA. I threw my gratitude toward you and told you how special you made my son's day, but giving thanks to you is something I should have done months ago.
PTA moms, you are so much more than those age-old stereotypes. You are mothers who go out of their way to make our kids' school memories more enjoyable. You put in extra hours for our kids' happiness. You work tirelessly to make ideas and visions come to life. And no, you don't have it all together all the time, which is something I deeply appreciate. Thank you for being you, and most importantly, for all of the hard work you put into making our children's school year fun.
From,
A PTA Dropout

The Reason That Actress in GLOW Reminds You of Kate Nash Is Because She's Kate Nash
When you watch the seventh episode in the first season of Netflix's breakout hit, GLOW, then you'll likely find yourself hearing a very familiar voice. Rhonda, the bubbly, big-banged British member of the show's all-female wrestling group, comes up with a rap to hype up the crowd during the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling's first match with a live studio audience. "GLOW, GLOW, that's the name; women's wrestling is our game," she chants (sorry, "speak-sings") in the middle of the ring. "If we play rough, please don't blame us; our style is wild, and you know you can't tame us!" If Rhonda's voice gives you a major case of déjà-vu in that scene, might I ask if you're a fan of the 2007 song "Foundations"? Or "Merry Happy"? Because Rhonda (aka Britannica) is actually played by British singer-songwriter Kate Nash!
Since charming the music scene with her debut album in 2007, Made of Bricks (which went platinum . . . NBD), Nash has gone on to win a BRIT Award and release three more albums and a handful of EPs. Though the 30-year-old still tours with her all-girl band, she's also been dipping her toes into the acting world more and more over the years. She's popped up in the films Greetings from Tim Buckley, Powder Room, and Syrup, and she also scored a role in the TV miniseries The Devil You Know. Now that GLOW has returned for a second season, here's hoping we get to see more of Nash's musical side.
Miley Cyrus's July 4 Bikini Was Perfectly Wild and All About the Boo-tay
Miley Cyrus celebrated the Fourth of July in a typical Miley way: dressing up in patriotic costumes, of course. The star shared quite a few celebratory snaps from her holiday, and in one she was casually lounging in the pool on a blow-up bald eagle float.
While you might expect an eccentric dresser like Miley to wrap herself in an actual flag or fashion a one-piece out of some fabric, she opted for the sophisticated Solid + Striped Elle Top ($88) and Elle Bottom ($88) instead. It was her star-spangled crown that really got the party started.
We like Miley's suit because (1) it flatters her toned figure and (2) it's got more of a subtle print, so she can work it into her rotation all season long. Read ahead for a second glance, then shop the exact bikini along with similar styles.
Ladies, Kim Kardashian Just Made Cargo Pants the New Date-Night Special
Kim Kardashian West joined husband Kanye for date night at Nobu Malibu and wore classic Yeezy neutrals consisting of an olive tee, gray suede booties, and khaki-colored cargo pants. She layered gold pendant necklaces over her shirt and pulled the tapered hem of her slacks right over her shoes, to show off the full silhouette of her military-inspired bottoms.
While she's opted for a sexy minidress and snakeskin heels while out with her hubby before, Kim toughened up her look for a night of romance, and we're all about it. Ahead, read on for another glance, then shop some similar cargo pants and consider wearing them to amp up the sex appeal. Kim proves that with a high waist and tight fit, it's totally possible.
Alex and Justin Russo - er, Selena Gomez and David Henrie - Had a Fun-Filled Day at Disneyland
Cast reunion alert! Alex and Justin Russo - er, Selena Gomez and David Henrie - hung out on the Fourth of July, and we could practically hear the Wizards of Waverly Place theme song playing softly in the distance. The onscreen-siblings-turned-friends spent the holiday at Disneyland and paused their fun-filled day for a cute photo opp on a staircase at the theme park. Selena wore a red denim jacket and ankle weights (dang, what a multitasker!) for the day of fun in the sun. She captioned one of her Instagram pictures with "Family vacation vibes," and another with "Brudder & sissy." Ugh, how cute are they?!
The former costars have remained close pals since Wizards of Waverly Place ended, as Selena attended David's wedding last Spring, and the two recently took a trip to Italy together. It looks like Selena is continuing to cope with her breakup from Justin Bieber by surrounding herself with great friends - and the magic of Disneyland! Ahead, see a few nostalgia-packed snaps from Selena and David's latest reunion.

Kendall Jenner Basically Wore Lingerie as a Cover-Up - Why Didn't We Think of That First?
Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come. We're officially editing Kendall Jenner's unofficial but well-deserved title as the Ultimate Queen of Bikinis to now be the Ultimate Queen of Bikinis and Cute Cover-Ups. Kindly join us in bowing down to her royal highness.
Just one day after wowing us by sporting a red and white striped button-down over her Fourth of July bikini, the model went the monochromatic route by wearing a sheer black cover-up over a matching two-piece while hanging out on a boat. Her lingerie-esque slip dress was undeniably sexy, allowing her two-piece to peek through, and it featured ruffled sleeves and long ties in the front.
Kendall's look makes a strong case for browsing in the undergarments department for a sultry Summer cover-up, don't you agree? Ahead, see Kendall's subtly sexy boat day outfit, and shop similar see-through cover-ups for yourself.
