Soak up the inspiration, add an umbrella, and stay stylish - and dry! - with the tips ahead.

26 Sex and the City Moments That Turned Samantha Jones Into a Style Icon

Carrie Bradshaw's wardrobe on Sex and the City may be known as the most fashion-forward of the bunch, but Samantha Jones's was definitely the most exciting. Whether she was sporting a skin-tight dress, sultry over-the-knee boots, or boldly printed fashions, Samantha's daring wardrobe helped her steal pretty much every scene she was in.

The show's stylist, Patricia Field, told us she would describe Samantha's style as, "sexy, strong, and independent," which is why she filled her closet with "fitted silhouettes in bright and happy colors, and often times low cut tops." Besides being the show's sexiest character, Samantha was also a bonafide boss lady running her own PR business, which is why Patricia also often dressed her in plenty of powerful Thierry Mugler suits as well.

If you don't have time to binge-watch the series, you can revisit some of Samantha's killer style moments here. Keep reading to check out some of her most fabulous looks from both the movies and the show.

10 Times Meghan Markle's Hats Had You Saying, "Hey, Eyes Up Here!"

I've had more fun obsessing over Meghan Markle's style than I've had with my own friends this year. OK, that's a bit dramatic, but it has been really exciting for me to see what gorgeous dress, stunning shoes, or shockingly affordable bag the Duchess of Sussex shows up with during her royal appearances. Now that she's officially a member of Britain's most famous family, there are many sartorial rules Meghan has to abide by (not that she always follows them), and one of them includes wearing hats.

For the royal family, hats aren't just fun ways to punch up an outfit or shield your eyes from the sun. Up until the 1950s, showing your hair in public was not allowed, though these days hats are only reserved for more formal daytime events such as church services, weddings, and Trooping the Colour. Needless to say, Meghan has already mastered her royal hat game at all of these events, from her debuts at annual festivities like Christmas service and Royal Ascot to attending the weddings of Harry's close friends. See what I mean when you scroll through and devour Meghan's best headwear moments.

Kylie Jenner's Already Decided Stormi's First Purse Will Be This $27,000 Hermès Bag

If there's one thing Kylie Jenner and I have in common, it's our love of handbags. My first designer handbag was a Chanel Large Classic With Grained Calf Skin and Gold-Tone Metal - it took me months to save up, and when I finally took the plunge, I cried! Since then, my collection has grown, but it will never be anything compared to Kylie's massive purse closet. The 21-year-old beauty mogul has given fans sneak peeks of our her slice of heaven on Instagram and Snapchat, but she finally gave a full look at the entire room. In a video posted to her YouTube channel, Kylie showed off handbags from designers like Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Chanel, Prada, and her favorite, Hermès.

"My favorite row would definitely have to be the Hermès row," she said. "I've been collecting these bags for a minute; they are also a great investment."

Kylie revealed she already knows Stormi's first bag will be a gorgeous bright pink Hermès Kelly Mini, which older sister Kourtney Kardashian gave her for Christmas. "This one I'm definitely going to let Stormi wear, probably when she says, 'Mommy, I want to carry a purse,'" she said. "So, this is probably going to be her first purse."

Another bag that she's passing down to her daughter is a Louis Vuitton Nano Speedy ($1,100), which her mom, Kris Jenner, gave to her a long time ago. "My mom gave these to me and Kendall when we were like super babies, so I'm definitely going to give this to Stormi," she said.

Keep reading to get a closer look at her handbags and watch the full video to see which handbag Kylie would save out of all of them.

Henry Golding Told Jimmy Fallon Why He Said "No" to "Crazy Rich Asians" At First

It's hard not to "crazy swoon" over Hollywood newcomer Henry Golding, but he almost avoided the movie scene completely. The Crazy Rich Asians star stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Aug. 15 to talk about his new film and revealed he was resistant to joining at first. Henry worked as a travel host before being cast as Nick Young, and didn't feel experienced enough for the cinematic world.

"They sent, probably three or for emails asking me to audition," Henry told Jimmy. "I was like, 'No, no, no. I'm not an actor. I'm sure there's somebody really amazing, ready for this role and the studio's not going to game on a newbie or a greenhorn.'"

Fortunately, the film's director John M. Chu convinced Henry to reconsider joining the cast and the rest is history. Watch the video above for more details on Henry's journey to becoming his character, and find out why he was named "Sexual Healer" in his high school's yearbook (it's likely not what you're thinking). Jimmy ended the interview by suggesting Henry could become the next Bond, and now that's something we're going to dream about tonight.

35 York Family Photos That Show How Close They've Stayed After Dealing With Divorce

Princess Eugenie of York is marrying Jack Brooksbank in October, and like most brides, she'll be doing so in front of close friends and adoring family members - however, 28-year-old Eugenie does have a "princess" title in front of her name, so the family members involved will be a bit more high-profile than your average relatives. Eugenie will tie the knot at St. George's Chapel in Windsor, England, the same place her cousin Harry married Meghan Markle in May. She is expected to be walked down the aisle by her father, Prince Andrew of York, at the wedding, which her mother, Sarah Ferguson, is reportedly "very involved" in planning.

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson got married in July 1986, almost five years to the day of Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding. At the time of his marriage, Andrew was fourth in line for the throne, and Sarah earned the title Duchess of York. Though they divorced in 1996, Andrew and Sarah have remained close friends and coparents to Eugenie and her older sister, Princess Beatrice; Eugenie has even called her parents "the best divorced couple" she knows, adding, "They just always went out of their way to make us feel loved and secure." Ahead of Eugenie's big day, we've rounded up all the sweetest York family photos over the years, from the day newborn baby Beatrice left the hospital right on up to today.

A Commercial For The Nun Was So Damn Scary That YouTube Banned It From Their Site

If you found yourself suffering from nightmares after watching the trailer for The Nun, then consider yourself lucky you didn't encounter a recent YouTube ad for the upcoming horror film.

The footage was only six seconds long, but faked viewers out by beginning the clip with a volume control icon, and then flashing the image of the film's titular demonic Nun - in other words, one hell of a jump scare. After a YouTube user warned others to "look away and/or turn down the volume if you have anxiety or just straight up hate jumpscares" on Twitter, the video site banned the "violent and shocking" clip because it violated their policy.

Although Youtube responded to the tweet confirming that they'd taken the ad down, the chilling video in question can still be viewed at this link. For what it's worth, you'll have the support of The Nun's director Corin Hardy if you watch it, judging from his reaction to YouTube's decision in a Facebook post published on Tuesday. "Awwww maaannnnnn… And we were having so much fun," he wrote, according to Entertainment Weekly.

For those of you who would rather not watch the ad or the trailer, The Conjuring spinoff is a prequel to the other films in the horror franchise's universe (including the Annabelle movies), and follows a young nun (Taissa Farmiga) as she's haunted by visions of the same demon Ed and Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson) see years later in The Conjuring 2. Because of her ability to see the demon, a priest recruits her for a trip to Romania so she can help investigate a series of spooky occurrences. Needless to say, it gets real f*cked up, real fast.

The Nun drops on Sept. 7.

Get Ready to Feel Inspired: Rudy Is Coming Back to Theaters For Its 25th Anniversary!

College football season is right around the corner, and a classic feel-good sports movie is the perfect way to celebrate your favorite pastime. It's been 25 years since Rudy introduced us to real-life underdog Daniel "Rudy" Ruettiger, and to celebrate the anniversary, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Fathom Events are bringing the film back to theaters! Fighting Irish fans will be able to watch the movie from more than 600 select movie theaters across all 50 states.

Originally released in 1993, Rudy stars Sean Astin as Ruettiger, a too-small fan who dreams of playing with the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. Written and directed by Hoosiers legend Angelo Pizzo and David Anspaugh, the story follows Ruettiger's journey from being a tackling dummy to making Notre Dame history. His triumphant play in the only game he ever joined ended with him sacking the Georgia Tech quarterback in the final seconds. If you still had a dry eye watching Ruettiger get carried off the field on his teammates' shoulders, you weren't watching it right.

The sports biopic will only be out for two days, Aug. 28 and Sept. 2, and fans are able to pick from two showings each day. The screenings will include a Q&A featuring the real-life Ruettiger, previously filmed in front of a live audience at Chicago's Music Box Theatre. You can check out the Fathom Events website to see the complete list of participating theater locations, and grab your ticket to get inspired!

The 3-year-old princess will reportedly serve as a lead flower girl, while the 5-year-old prince will act as a page boy.

7 Orange Is the New Black Theories That We're Convinced Will Come True

Spoiler warning: This post contains spoilers for Orange Is the New Black season six.

It was hard to imagine how Orange Is the New Black would move forward after the riot that took up all of season five, but season six brought new villains and new storylines for the Litchfield inmates (at least, the ones who were transferred to Litchfield Max). The season six finale included plenty of shocking moments: Piper and Sophia are released early, but Blanca, devastatingly, is taken into an ICE bus. We have lots of questions about what will happen to the newly released inmates, as well as the ones who are still in Max. Justice isn't often served on OITNB, but maybe now that Piper is on the outside, she can better help her fellow inmates.

Here are a few of the season seven theories floating around - you never know which ones might play out on the Netflix series.

Legacies: You'll Totally Recognize the Setting for the Vampire Diaries Spinoff

We already know that the new CW show, Legacies, is a continuation of the stories told in The Vampire Diaries and its first spinoff, The Originals. But how close to home do we get for this new series, which premieres on Oct. 25? According to creator Julie Plec, the answer is very. On Monday, she told journalists at the Television Critics Association's Summer press tour that the new show's prime setting is at a school that's "off old Miller Road, on the edge of Mystic Falls, where the locals think it's a troubled school for rich kids. But inside are a wonderful cast of characters of young supernatural beings."

For those well-initiated with our favorite fictitious Virginia small town, note that there will still be a Miss Mystic Falls pageant and a Founder's Day celebration. Steven R. McQueen will return as Jeremy Gilbert for one episode and Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) is still the town sheriff. Most importantly, the show centers on The Vampire Diaries' Alaric Saltzman (Matt Davis), the headmaster at the (ahem) Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted - where he not only oversees The Originals' Hope Mikaelson (Danielle Rose Russell) but his own twin daughters and a bunch of other brooding teen supernaturals.

There are plenty of other Easter eggs for fans of the other two series, but Plec says there's still enough fresh material for newbies to experience what she calls "TVDU" (That would be The Vampire Diaries Universe. Duh).

"For the most part, the mythology is a new mythology," she says. "A lot of the supernatural beings that we'll be opening our doors to are things that you never would have seen on The Vampire Diaries. You don't need to know anything other than kind of just have a love for teen soap and/or like creatures of the night."

So will the kids at Salvatore School have any run-ins with the townies at Mystic Falls High?

"The single most important rule (at this school) is don't fraternize with the locals and don't let anybody in on the secret of who you are or what you can do," Plec says. "In the second episode, we [have] this annual flag football for charity against the local school. And they just they have to lose every year . . . But this bully and this mean girl are just poking and poking and poking . . . And [things] of course, go terribly wrong."

Train Your Abs Like a Gymnast With This Awesome TRX Exercise

One thing all great gymnasts have in common is an extremely strong core. A strong core isn't just great for looks - it makes everyday tasks like walking and standing with good posture possible. Having a strong core will also help reduce your risk for injuries such as lower back pain. Get ready to tone your tummy and strengthen your abs with the TRX pike.

Here's how to do it:

  • With the straps at mid-calf length, place your feet into each of the foot cradles.
  • Lift your knees off the ground, coming into a plank position with your hands directly underneath your shoulders. Your back should be flat, and your core should be engaged (there should be no arch or dip of the torso visible).
  • Pretend there is a string attached to your tailbone as you lift your hips up towards the ceiling (as high as your mobility allows). Lower back down into your plank position. This completes one rep.
  • Repeat for a total of 15 reps.

Facebook user Lisa Woelke shared a brain-teaser that has been driving the Internet nuts. The post - which has been shared by more than 170,000 users - depicts a math equation with fruit items in lieu of numbers. For example, it can be deduced from the first line that one apple is equivalent to the number 10. Harmless enough, right? Wrong.

The most common answer for the remaining final line was 16 - and you shouldn't be discouraged if that's the answer you arrived at . . . it just isn't the correct one. The final answer is actually 14. You might be asking yourself, "What the what?" as you ponder the degeneration of your math skills, but it's OK. We can work through this together.

So yes, one apple equals 10, one banana bunch equals four, and the coconuts equal two. However, the final line alters the coconuts and bananas so that they are each missing one, respectively. In the case of the last line, there is only one coconut - equaling one - and three bananas in the bunch, which equal three. So one apple (10) plus one coconut (one) and three bananas (three) equal 14. Voilà!

Get ready to channel your inner Hermione Granger, because Audbile and Pottermore have teamed up to bring us an exciting addition to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the form of a brand new audiobook.

If you can't get enough of all the ins and outs of the intricate, magical universe author J.K. Rowling builds in her bestselling series, then Harry Potter: A History of Magic needs to be at the top of your must-read (er, must-listen) list. Game of Thrones alum Natalie Dormer is the voice of the original nonfiction audiobook, which delves into "some of the hidden stories behind real-world magic and explores some of Rowling's magical inventions alongside their folkloric, cultural, and historical forebears."

If the audiobook isn't enough to quench your Harry Potter thirst, then be sure to check out the accompanying Harry Potter: A History of Magic exhibition at the New York Historical Society, which is scheduled to open on Oct. 5. "I've always adored the Harry Potter books, but it wasn't until I started speaking with the British Library's curators - hearing about the various myths, legends and cultures that have helped shape the wizarding world - that I really began to appreciate the richness and depth of J. K. Rowling's writing," Dormer said in a recent press release. "There are so many wonderful details to explore and A History of Magic unearths some remarkable gems of information that are sure to have listeners awestruck. It's been fun to join the Wizarding World family."

The audiobook itself will be available on Oct. 4, so head over to Audible.com to preorder a copy for yourself.

James Corden Learned Not to Waste Paul McCartney's Time the Hard Way

Back in June, Paul McCartney took James Corden on a tour of his hometown, Liverpool, UK, in a now-iconic episode of Carpool Karaoke. This week, James decided it was time to return the favor, and he invited the Beatle to visit the place where he became "a huge success." Unfortunately, a tour of The Late Late Show offices is hardly in the same league as a tour that takes in Paul's childhood home and a trip to Penny Lane, and Sir Paul quickly tires of James's attempts to entertain him, asking, "Is this what you had me fly all the way out to LA for?"

Of course, there's more than just this skit. Sir Paul is joining James to celebrate a special one-hour documentary, When Corden Met McCartney, which will air on CBS at 8 p.m. on Aug. 20. The show will feature tons of footage from their Liverpool tour that didn't make it onto the Carpool Karaoke segment, and by the looks of this video, it's definitely going to be worth tuning in for!

I Rarely Identify With Asians on Screen, but Here's Why Crazy Rich Asians Is So Important

Lately, I've been telling my Asian friends that I'm going to see Crazy Rich Asians for the representation. I say it wryly, but there's a kernel of sincerity in what I'm saying.

I should start out by saying that Hollywood's numbers do make me emotional - mostly frustrated with the past and excited about the future. And before you ask, I'm at best mediocre at math. But the statistics are astounding, obvious to anyone who looks at them. Crazy Rich Asians is the first major American studio project to feature a predominantly Asian cast in 25 years, following the footsteps of 1993's The Joy Luck Club. Here's another crazy showbiz data point: in 2016, three percent of film roles went to Asian actors, while 78 percent went to white actors. As someone who grew up in a predominantly Asian and Latino neighborhood, the demographics of my community looked like those numbers - but reversed. So Crazy Rich Asians is, well, a crazy huge deal.

"I'm sure that my white friends don't worry about seeing their lived experiences represented in the lavishness of The Princess Diaries."

Many of my Asian friends are ambivalent about the representation hullabaloo around Crazy Rich Asians, and I feel them. I worry that the surface pleasures of representation overshadow other Asian American issues, like mental health and immigration. I also fear that the movie won't directly speak to my California upbringing in a working-class ethnoburb, given that it's about a professor who finds out that her hot boyfriend is a member of Singapore's elite. And then I get anxious about overthinking this, because I'm sure that my white friends don't worry about seeing their lived experiences represented in the lavishness of The Princess Diaries.

Truth be told, I haven't identified with most Asians in film and TV, not Rose Tico from The Last Jedi or even Cristina Yang from Grey's Anatomy. The only Asian character that I've truly resonated with is Diane Nguyen from Bojack Horseman. She's a bookish, introverted feminist who goes through bouts of depression and social anxiety as she navigates her relationships. She's also voiced by Alison Brie, a white actress, who I have otherwise loved. Problematic, I know, which brings me back to why representation is so important.

Opportunities in TV and film are important because they translate into financial and social capital. For Asians in Hollywood, this means that they receive a concrete paycheck for their work and are able to build industry clout. We'll get to see Constance Wu playing other parts and Jon M. Chu directing more features. And, hopefully, more representation will open the doors for not only East Asians, but also Southeast and South Asians in American entertainment. Creative work receives skepticism in general, but it's almost unspoken of when you grow up a first-generation Asian in this country. My parents, Vietnamese immigrants, discouraged me from pursuing the arts when I was younger. They weren't tiger parents, though. They worried that the world would cheat me because I wasn't white.

Representation also matters for character development and transcending stereotypes. In Crazy Rich Asians, Rachel, Peik Lin, and Eleanor are distinct people who aren't passive peasant girls or dragon ladies. Low bar, I know. Still, it's great that there's more than just one Asian female character. None of the actresses portraying them have to carry the weight of stereotypes or expectations of Western audiences in their performances.

"While I'm not going to connect with every Asian woman in movies, it's a huge deal when you grow up knowing one Asian American actress: Lucy Liu."

The last point that I want to make about representation, perhaps the most superficial one, is that I can't help but feel excited about seeing Asian women in American movies that I actually want to watch, not just projects about ninjas and geishas. When I was younger, my mom and I bonded over watching Sandra Bullock and Meg Ryan romantic comedies on VHS. It's overwhelming to see someone who looks and sounds like me in the leading role. While I'm not going to connect with every Asian woman in movies, it's a huge deal when you grow up knowing one Asian American actress: Lucy Liu.

Wu, who plays the protagonist in Crazy Rich Asians, recently penned an eloquent, heartfelt tweet that resonated with me deeply. She wrote, "I hope that Asian American kids watch CRA and realize that they can be the heroes of their own stories." Her simple message is such a beautiful testament to self-validation. But at the same time, Asians don't need to be heroes. I think that Crazy Rich Asians shows that the presence of Asians in American films can be normal, not just a punchline or a walking stereotype. And that's powerful.

Wrong.

9 Times Kate Middleton's Outfit Was No Match For a Gust of Wind

Kate Middleton is one of the chicest women in the world, and it has very little to do with the fact that she's a member of the royal family. Even before she tied the knot with Prince William in 2011, the duchess boasted a wardrobe full of easy, classic pieces that also happened to translate well during a high-profile event (or tea with the queen). These days, nearly everything Kate throws on grabs headlines, but that doesn't mean she's immune to one of fashion's most treacherous pitfalls - a gust of wind.

Over the years, Kate has fallen victim to a windy day on numerous occasions and in many different countries; most recently, the white Emilia Wickstead dress she wore during a day in India was no match for a gust of wind, but as usual, Kate played it completely cool. It just goes to show that anyone can have a Marilyn Monroe moment, even royalty. Keep reading for nine times that Kate's look was straight out of The Seven Year Itch.

But the actress has clearly had some experience when it comes to adjusting to new heights. Her Burberry wraparound wedges even have sex appeal.

There's something about a Jen spotting in pumps that makes us want to get real leggy with our look and head out for the evening.
