These Are the Most Popular Shoes of the Entire Year, So Don't You Forget to Buy Them
Since we wanted to be completely sure we've filled all the buckets when it comes to shoes this year, we scanned the streets, along with our favorite retailers, to round up the most prominent trends. Ahead, you won't just find the artsy styles on the runways, which may seem daunting, but the most popular selection of kicks. You know, the footwear you spot on models or editors that you follow on the 'gram, and then go searching for, dedicated to finding similar options. From quirky mules or sculptural wooden heels that suddenly sprouted up everywhere to the designs we've become more familiar with (think the '80s pin heel bootie and thigh highs), here are the 15 shoes of 2018, and we definitely won't forget them.
Fashion Girls Will Fall Hard For These 9 Trendy Sneakers
In the shopping mood but have nothing to buy? We'll give you an excuse. Everyone could use a pair of fresh sneakers for the new season. They are comfortable, match everything, and are a big Fall trend. It can be hard to choose such a cool pair of kicks, so we rounded up the best options from Urban Outfitters. Some are modern and sporty while others are trendy and embellished, so there's something for everyone. These sneakers are an investment you can feel good about.
I've Bought These Comfy Pants 2 Years in a Row - They're That Good
Anyone who knows me knows I usually opt for comfy trousers over uncomfortable jeans, but it wasn't always that way. Last year, I discovered these Reformation Joss Pants ($78), and it changed my wardrobe for good.
Quickly after buying them, they became the only ones I wore to work, on vacation, and even on nights out. The lightweight material is great for hot days but still keeps me warm on chilly nights. They're easy to style with sneakers and a denim jacket or sandals and a crop top in Summer. In colder weather or on a night out, I dress them up with booties or heels with a leather jacket. You get it . . . no matter what I do, this is my go-to pair. The ribbed texture is so flattering on my body but feels like I'm wearing sweatpants. They don't lack in style, either. The cropped flare bottoms give this high-waisted pant an extra edge, making any look feel more elevated.
Last year they sold out quickly, so when they just came back in stock, I was excited to grab a new pair. Now I have some I can throw on and wear to the beach and another pair I can keep for nicer occasions. Do yourself a favor and get your size before it's too late.
I Bought This $23 Strapless Bra on Amazon - It's So Comfortable, I Wear It Constantly
Strapless bras are my worst enemy. I absolutely hate wearing them and avoid it at all costs. As a fairly average C cup, I'm not a fan of the constant tugging and adjusting I have to do without the support of straps. Plus, wires digging into my sides is no fun. Then, I found a godsend. I came across this Lilyette by Bali Strapless Bra ($23-$24) on Amazon - it's the bestselling option on the entire site.
I can wear this bra from morning till night with zero discomfort. It does have underwire for support, but I can't even feel it. There are grippers on the interior of the bra that keep it from every slipping. It also comes with detachable straps and converts four different ways. It's available in beige, black, and white. The design is intended for larger busts, so the sizes range from 34C to 42DD. Basically, this bra is a miracle.
"This bra is the best I've found to support and lift my large 40DD breasts," one buyer wrote. "The band is very thick which serves as extra support as well as being helpful at smoothing back fat. The minimizing effects make me look and feel a cup size smaller. The bra comes with two adjustable straps that you can place along the cup to connect in multiple ways to the band in the back."
If you're picky about strapless bras, you have to give this one a try.

Fall 2018's Biggest Shoe Trends Are Coming in Hot, Ready or Not
When Priyanka Chopra paraded her way into the 2018 royal wedding wearing Jimmy Choo x Off-White ornamental heels, we knew the "jewelry for your feet" trend would stick around. In fact, the exact pump has already sold out with plenty of similar options taking its place for Fall. Also on this season's hot list are Western cowboy booties, which soared to the top of our must haves after Selena Gomez wore a pair to the Coach show.
You'll also find yourself pining for kitten heel mules and animal print for your feet, and oh yes, those chunky dad sneakers are sticking around, whether you like it or not. Ahead, we rounded up the silhouettes that should be stocked in your "back-to-school" wardrobe this Fall, with some of your favorite stars, models, and influencers leading by example. Scroll to shop or jump ahead to a category.

Princess Diana Owned the Coolest, Sexiest Swimsuits, and She Looked Like a Model in Them All
Some of the most iconic photos of Princess Diana include her vacationing with her family or sporting splashy swimsuits in the South of France. While her Summer wardrobe included gorgeous pleated dresses and preppy tailored separates, the late royal's swimwear reigned supreme. Your eyes have likely never glossed over a floral bikini set as picture perfect as Diana's, and her colorblock maillots and animal print designs are exactly what you were searching for before you started reading this. We rounded up some memorable snapshots of Princess Diana on holiday, and lucky for you, we found a handful of similar suits nearly identical to the ones she owned. If this doesn't prove that Diana is one of the most classic fashion icons to this day, really, what will?

The 3-year-old princess will reportedly serve as a lead flower girl, while the 5-year-old prince will act as a page boy.

What's on My Plate Is Actually None of Your Business
Have you ever heard of a pescetarian? If your answer is yes, I congratulate you for being smarter than Microsoft Word. As I write this story, the term is being underlined in red by the word processing program because it doesn't recognize it. While I'm still reflecting on whether I should feel offended by this fact, I'll let the Merriam-Webster dictionary clarify that a pescetarian is one whose diet includes fish but no other meat. Pretty simple, isn't it? But try explaining to Word (and many people) that I am also gluten free and try to avoid dairy products. What does that make me? Only God knows! But what I do know is that these food choices very often result in questions from family, friends, and colleagues ranging from funny to pretty annoying.
Does it really matter whether I dropped meat from my diet because of ethical reasons or a taste preference? Why do you want to know if I am lactose intolerant? Think about it: the motivations for eating and not eating certain foods might be quite personal and involve religion or medical conditions. Why should anyone share this private information with you?
As for myself, I am more than happy to tell you (and my mum, for yet another time) that I made these changes to my diet because I want to be the best and healthiest version of myself. And I realized that the food I put into my body has a huge impact on it. I could instead go on for hours about how I feel more energized, lighter, and less bloated. But the gist is as simple as it is powerful: not eating certain foods makes me feel better and happy!
No, this is not about wanting to be skinny. And for the record, I can still join you at a fast food restaurant. You might be surprised, but I am usually able to find some kind of food that fits my dietary requirements anywhere. Just don't hate on me - or your family member, friend, or colleague - if you see us with a plate of greens without dressing in front of us. That's probably because that's all they've got on the menu for us. Trust me, we'd much rather have something like a gluten-free veggie burger if we could.
And that's actually the point: we could! We had the option and we chose to sit down with you and keep you company at that fast food restaurant. So don't make fun of us or food-shame us. Don't question what's on our plate. In turn, we won't lecture you about how unhealthy that dish you just shoveled into your mouth just was. Because we respect you and your food choices, and so should you respect us. Because no matter what we eat (or do not eat) because of religious belief, for ethical reasons, because of a taste preference, or for the sake of trying to be healthy: it is supposed to make us happy and feel better. And that's all that should matter to you.
Experts Weigh in on How to Lose Weight - and Keep It Off
When it comes to weight loss, there really is no "one size fits all" approach to getting to where you want to be - whether you're focused on dropping pounds and trimming inches or simply feeling better in your skin. But there are a few standard tips and tricks that experts generally rely on when helping their patients and clients meet their goals.
At the most basic level, "Weight loss is a reduction of calories in versus calories out," Dr. Lauren Green, assistant professor in neurology at the University of Southern California and registered dietitian, told POPSUGAR. So if we eat less and exercise more, we will lose weight. But there's also a lot more to it than that.
To give you the full picture, we also talked with Dr. Sriram Machineni, director of the Medical Weight Clinic at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and assistant professor at UNC's School of Medicine, and Liz Weinandy, registered dietitian at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH, for their insight on the topic.
Read on for what these three medical professionals had to say about what we can all do to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
The Legal Way to Travel With CBD Beauty Products
CBD - a cannabis extract - has become a trendy ingredient in beauty and skin care products such as lotions, balms, salves, and even mascara. You may have found a CBD product you can't live without, even on vacation. But because nobody wants to end up like Piper from Orange Is the New Black - who got sent to prison for smuggling drugs - you might wonder if bringing your CBD moisturizer can earn you a spot on a no-fly list. We reached out to two CBD experts to get the skinny on how to safely transport your goodies through TSA.
Is it illegal to travel with CBD products?
Even if you're flying out of states where cannabis use is perfectly legal, all airports are subject to federal law. That means it's illegal to travel with marijuana, even if it's for medical purposes. That said, CBD itself isn't considered marijuana, as it's not psychoactive and doesn't contain the extract THC (which is what gets you high).
To determine if your CBD is legal, it's up to you to read the label. "Many CBD beauty products use hemp-derived CBD, which is legal to bring to all 50 states," said Claudia Mata, cofounder of Vertly. "Plus, many CBD products, such as our lip balm, are packaged quite discretely. That means unless you are personally pointing out that it's CBD-infused, it's unlikely anyone will know." Of course, if your CBD products are liquids, you should make sure you're not bringing in anything that's over the TSA's maximum of 3.4 ounces.
Will a sniffing dog know I'm carrying CBD?
For the most part, that dog keeping us all safe while we wait at a security checkpoint won't notice your rose-scented CBD lotion. According to the New York Times, canines who guard domestic US flights are searching for bombs and other explosives, which have a different scent than marijuana. As Mata put it, "I live in Northern California, so if dogs could sniff out cannabis, they would be really busy here!" However, if you're flying into the US from another country, dogs who accompany customs and border protection agents can be trained in sniffing out all forms of illegal drugs.
What else should I know about traveling with CBD products?
While your CBD products will make it through TSA unharmed, you want to make sure they survive your trip, too. "CBD-infused products shouldn't be treated any differently than any other natural, clean products," Mata said. "Since CBD is plant matter, I don't keep it in direct sunlight, and I store it in a cool place." So if you're a lucky soul headed off to a beach vacation, be sure to keep your balm or moisturizer out of the sweltering heat. If you don't, the products could melt away. In Mata's words, "Why would you want to waste all that wonderful CBD?"
10 Times Princess Diana Proved How Badass Moms Can Be

In the process, she became a trailblazer for a new generation of royals and everyday moms alike. Here are 10 times Princess Diana proved that leading with the heart is a parent's best compass.

The Unexpected Way Princess Eugenie and Fiancé Jack Brooksbank Are Related
Jack Brooksbank may not be a royal yet, but he does come from a noble family. The 31-year-old wine merchant's parents are George and Nicola Brooksbank. George is a chartered accountant and a company director, and his family is descended from the Brooksbank baronets. A baronet is a British hereditary title below baron and with viscounts, dukes, and earls above it.
Not only that, but Eugenie's mother, Sarah Ferguson, is the great-great-granddaughter of Lady Julia Coke, who just so happens to be the daughter of Jack's great-great-grandfather, Thomas William Coke. This technically makes Eugenie and Jack related as third cousins once removed, similar to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.
I'm a Group Fitness Instructor - These Are the 6 Ways I See People Wrecking Their Workout
There are a lot of things I love in this world, but very few things are more exciting for me than teaching a full class at the gym where I coach, Epic Hybrid Training Center. I love the thrill of the loud music and the sweaty, smiling people all around me. And I love pushing them to their limit and seeing them get stronger. Most of all, I love that Epic uses functional movements to give our clients the best possible workout.
However, I've noticed quite a few things at my gym when I teach group classes that are pretty common among regularly attending clients. Judging by what my other trainer friends tell me, these mistakes are easy to see in just about any group fitness class. If you're a group fitness junkie, listen up. These are the six mistakes I see my clients make all too often.

Teens Watched Old *NSYNC Music Videos, and the Results Were Exactly What You'd Expect
*NSYNC was one of the biggest boy bands of the '90s, but it seems teens today aren't as familiar with the group that once made hearts flutter around the world. After filming teenagers' reactions to hit Backstreet Boys music videos, the FBE YouTube channel decided to make another group of teens watch iconic *NSYNC videos, and the results were exactly what you'd expect.
While a few knew the words to hit songs like "Bye, Bye, Bye" and "It's Gonna Be Me" (thanks to their parents), others only recognized the band because of its lead singer, Justin Timberlake. "The only person I know here is Justin Timberlake," one teen said. Even though most of them cringed over the cheesiness of the videos (which is totally fair, TBH), there is one thing they all agreed on: the band had some sick choreography. See even more hilarious reactions above.

If You're Getting Colonics to Detox, an Expert Says to Reconsider - Here's Why
You may have heard that getting colon cleanses will flush out all the toxins in your GI tract, help your skin glow from the inside out (we debunked this), and leave you feeling as light as a feather. To get past all the sh*t and find out whether or not colon cleanses are necessary, POPSUGAR spoke to gastroenterologist Gina Sam, MD, MPH, and former clinical instructor at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Cornell Medical Center.
How a Colonic Works
According to Dr. Sam, a colonic (often referred to as colon hydrotherapy or colon irrigation) is an alternative-medicine procedure where water is infused into the rectum with a tube to flush or clean out the colon. During a colonic, a disposable plastic hose is connected to a the hydrotherapy unit and inserted into the rectum using a speculum. Once the hose is in place, the hydrotherapist slowly infuses warm, filtered water into the colon. The water causes peristalsis - the contraction of the colon muscles. Now that you know how the procedure works, here are the associated risks.
The Risks Involved With Colonics
Unlike an enema, where a soft bottle is used to insert water or sodium chloride into the rectum initiating a bowel movement, colonic procedures can be rather risky. According to Dr. Sam, the potential risks of getting colonics include: perforation (causing a hole in the colon), infection, a shift in electrolytes (dehydration), and removing the good bacteria found in the colon. Before getting a colon-cleansing procedure, Dr. Sam advises asking questions about the facility, and overall, she does not recommend getting colonics.
Why Colonics Won't Help You Detox
Colonics will remove stool, but if you're after a detox you should stick to the basics and start by eliminating artificial sugars and processed foods from your diet. "It is not necessary to detoxify with a colonic," Dr. Sam told POPSUGAR. "The colon has its natural way of cleansing itself and if you do have constipation, increase both your fiber and water intake," she explained. If that doesn't work, Dr. Sam advises seeing a gastroenterologist. In order to detoxify and have a healthy GI tract, Dr. Sam suggests the following:
- Eat four to five servings of fruits and vegetables daily
- Drink eight to 10 glasses of water a day
- Exercise for at least 30 to 45 minutes a day
- Cut down on red meat and fatty foods
Our best advice for detoxing: don't force it. If you think something is wrong with your digestion and would like to explore the best options to detoxify, consult your doctor.
Meet the 9 Most Comfortable Bras You'll Ever Wear

What if we told you there were such a thing as a comfortable bra? And what if we told you we found nine of them? Have we got your attention? These are the bras you won't want to take off.
Hello, Fall! Meet the Highest-Rated Leather Jacket at Nordstrom
I love leather jackets. They're so versatile; you can wear them seamlessly with jeans and a t-shirt or a flirty dress, they keep you warm, and they always look good. Always. This season, I'm in the market for a new jacket, and I'm kind of obsessed with this AllSaints Balfern Leather Biker Jacket ($498). The brand is known for its supersoft, comfortable leather. Plus, I can't get enough of the zippered sleeves or faux belt detail.
I think it's the perfect mix of tough and fashionable, and evidently, other customers agree, as it's the top-rated leather jacket at Nordstrom. One of the many rave reviewers says, "I have had it for 2 years and it still looks amazing, will last me for years! It's super soft and all around perfect. Worth the splurge!" And if you need one more push, a fellow editor, Stephanie Nguyen, let me know she also has this jacket and absolutely loves it. With this many glowing recommendations, I can't think of a reason not to pick it up.
No matter the weather or occasion, a leather jacket is always appropriate. This silhouette is a classic; treat it right and you'll have it for a long time, just as these reviews say. Your closet will thank you. Just be prepared to have everyone stop you to ask where you got your perfect leather jacket.

Mamas Gotta Sweat, Too - 9 Sports Bras That You Can Nurse In
During maternity leave I have a distinct memory of taking a Pilates class in an old sports bra and looking down 15 minutes into it to see that I'd leaked through the bra and my shirt. It was embarrassing, mostly because it hadn't occurred to me that I should've been wearing something with more padding and protection. Mamas in a similar boat who not only want the extra support but need quick access to be able to nurse should invest in a maternity sports bra STAT. Up ahead, we found nine bestselling nursing sports bras that will keep you well supported even when you're most engorged.
The 1 Sunscreen My Friends Were Fighting Over at the Beach
It's not unusual for my friends to dig through my bag to see the latest beauty products I'm carrying around. During one beach trip, they discovered my love for Hint Spray Sunscreen ($20) and a new, canary yellow tube of facial sunscreen they'd never seen before. I had received the brightly hued Katess Physical Sunscreen ($22) during a meeting with the Japanese brand a few weeks prior and tossed it into my beach tote to protect my skin as I lounged in the sand.
The moment my friends - who somehow all managed to forget sunscreen - tried it, they were sold. The feather-light formula is water-based, making it super comfortable on the skin without leaving a white cast. It's also non-comedogenic, and is formulated with soothing green tea extract and hydrating hyaluronic acid to moisturize the skin. While I knew the product was great, I was super amused by my friends' newfound passion for sun protection after years of my lectures. I was unsurprised a week later to open a Snapchat from my buddy Jill, who had taken a selfie with her new Katess sunscreen.
If this product can convince my sunbathing friends to wear SPF, I'm confident it will become a staple in anyone's skincare routine.

This Is the Face of a Girl Who Just Ordered $350 Worth of Toys From Her Mom's Amazon Account
My badass little cousin ordered $300 worth of toys w/o my aunt & uncle knowing. This is a picture of how everyone found out. pic.twitter.com/wHWVhsMBYI

We've all heard of kids ordering stuff from their parents' Amazon Prime accounts, but it's often just a false alarm - shipments thwarted in the nick of time. That wasn't the case for Caitlin, a cunning 6-year-old in Arizona who, after being allowed to order one Barbie doll for her birthday, asked her parents if she could log back on to the site to see when her gift would arrive.
That's when the little girl helped herself to dozens of toys, video games, and board games.
"My badass little cousin ordered $300 worth of toys without my aunt and uncle knowing," the girl's older cousin, Ria Diyaolu, wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of "how everyone found out." It showed a man unloading several large boxes off a delivery van and onto the driveway of the girl's home. Caitlin, standing next to the stack of packages that were literally as tall as her, had quite the expression on her face as her mom looked on.
"She is a scammer in training," she joked on Twitter.
Turns out, when her mom checked her Amazon account, she found three pages of items totaling $350. "She knew exactly what she was doing when she did it," her older cousin, Ria Diyaolu, told BuzzFeed. "I was so surprised that a 6-year-old knew how to do one-click, next-day shipping."
Parents, this is your final warning.
Only 2 US Cities Have Laws That Protect Breastfeeding Moms in the Workplace, Study Finds
In an effort to make breastfeeding more plausible for working mothers, researchers from the University of Pennsylvania conducted a study that investigated just how many cities in the US have laws in place to protect women who breastfeed in the workplace. And unfortunately for new moms, the numbers aren't exactly in their favor.
Diane Spatz, a perinatal nursing and nutrition professor in the School of Nursing and lactation program director at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, examined 151 of the largest cities across the US and found that only New York City and Philadelphia have laws that protect nursing women.
And although allowing women to pump at work is already a federal law under the Fair Labor Standards Act, there are some stipulations depending on where you work.
"The law only requires that employers offer 'reasonable break time' and a place that's not the bathroom for expressing human milk," according to Science Daily. "Plus, its reach is limited, covering only hourly employees at companies with 50 or more workers and annual company earnings of $500,000 or more."
Diane agreed that while having a federal law in place is a good starting point, many women still don't meet the qualifications to be covered: "Someone salaried would not be covered by the law. If a company has fewer than 50 employees, it doesn't apply," she said. "All the law says is you need to be given time and space. Clearly, there are much better opportunities for women."
"Right now in the US, if a mom wants to be a breastfeeding mom and a working breastfeeding mom, really all of the onus is on her to figure it out."
Elizabeth Froh, who is part of CHOP's Center For Pediatric Nursing Research & Evidence-Based Practice and an adjunct assistant professor in Penn Nursing, suggests that implementing breastfeeding laws that protect women at work at the city-level would be hugely beneficial for moms.
"You can easily access information about legal protections for breastfeeding moms on a federal and state level. But it's a challenge to get at the city-level legislation," explained Elizabeth. "It was surprising to all of us how difficult and inaccessible this information truly was."
And given how many women hold down full-time jobs, Elizabeth believes this type of legislation should be introduced at the city level as soon as possible.
"People have been asking us why we did this," said Elizabeth. "Well, 56 percent of the workforce in the United States is now women. With all of the limitations of the federal law, there is a huge segment of the working population that isn't covered. We see this as a social justice issue and a public health issue. This one study, looking at what is out there currently, is just a starting point."
Given how beneficial nursing is for infants, being able to pump and store breast milk at work shouldn't be a huge feat. "Right now in the US, if a mom wants to be a breastfeeding mom and a working breastfeeding mom, really all of the onus is on her to figure it out," said Diane. "She's got to be pretty determined."
Researchers are hoping that the study's findings lead to more major cities implementing laws that provide greater protections to nursing mothers.
"The stronger the city-level legislation becomes across the board, the more cities that do it, the easier it is for the state to pass one," said Elizabeth. "If more states do it, it becomes that much easier for a federal law to pass. This is really where a grassroots effort could make an impactful difference."

Kelly Ripa Knew Mark Consuelos Was the One Before Even Meeting Him
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos have been married for 22 years, and for her, it was love at first sight . . . literally. While on the SiriusXM radio show Lunch With Bruce, Kelly revealed she still remembers the first time she laid eyes on Mark.
"I saw my husband in a photograph before I saw him. I knew when I saw his photograph," she said. "When I saw him, the photograph of him, I saw my entire future with him flash before - like I saw it. And I don't believe in any of that and now I do because of that moment."
The couple met in person when Mark auditioned for the role of Mateo Santos on All My Children in 1995 after the show's casting director Judy Blye Wilson found him. "[Judy] showed me his picture and, Bruce, I'm not this person, at that point I was not a hopeless romantic. I never thought about getting married, it never occurred to me that I would grow old with someone," Kelly explained. "I just thought I would be living my single girl life in the city and sort of like moving. You know, if I needed to up and move to a location, I could do that. I had no responsibilities and I was earning a good living on his soap opera because I was there for almost seven years before Mark got there. . . . I was a baby when I got the job."
Fast forward to 2018, Kelly and Mark are still happily married with three kids: sons Michael, 21, and Joaquin, 15, and daughter Lola, 17. Their son Michael is actually set to join Mark in season three of Riverdale. Kelly and Mark are the epitome of true love if we've ever seen it!
