The Bouquets Had Lightsaber Handles at This Star Wars Wedding - and the Bride Wore Black
If you want to bring the Force to your nuptials, look no further than Crystal and Jonathan's gorgeous Star Wars-themed wedding for inspiration. The two first met while they were students at Purdue University, which is why the campus holds a great deal of sentimental value to the pair. They fittingly decided to have their wedding at the Purdue Memorial Union and embellished the place with decor inspired by their favorite film franchise. "Their reception was Star Wars-themed and it was amazing! They made most of the decorations and each table's centerpiece was a different world from Star Wars. Crystal hand made all of the bouquets with origami flowers and lightsaber handles," said Jasmine Norris-Dixson, the woman behind the camera who captured the happy moments from the wedding. "Also, the Star Wars theme was a surprise for all their guests."
The pair had so many more layers of unique ideas catered to their love story. For instance, instead of a traditional layered cake, they opted for a delicious cookie cake with the phrase, "'Til the Death Star do we part" written in frosting on it. The newlyweds explained their decision, saying: "We got Insomnia Cookies instead of a big fancy cake. We wanted to capture our time at Purdue in the food and feel of the wedding, and Insomnia Cookies is a big part of that." There are so many more cute details to look out for, so keep reading!

Wedding in Aisle 5! See Pictures From This Couple's Epic Costco Nuptials
Finding a wedding venue can often be a somewhat daunting task for soon-to-be married couples. But when it came time for newlyweds Margot Schein and Julian Parris to pick out where they wanted to exchange vows, it was a no-brainer that they'd hold their wedding ceremony in the place where they first connected: Costco. Yes, that would be the same membership-only retailer where you can conveniently purchase anything from a three-pound cookie to an eight-foot Christmas tree.
According to NBC7, Margot and Julian met online three years ago and immediately hit it off, thanks to their mutual love of Costco. They went on their first date at the store's Mission Valley location in San Diego and tied the knot there in November in front of their friends, their family, and a group of Costco employees. The wedding itself - which was, of course, complete with a Costco wedding cake - drew a bit of inspiration from the newlyweds' love of Harry Potter. As an ode to Gryffindor, Margot wore a deep red gown with a bouquet that she made from the pages of the books, while Julian suited up in a blue tuxedo that he accessorized with a bronze tie for Ravenclaw. See more stunning photos from Margot and Julian's big day ahead!

Monopoly Pizza Is Here, and You Better Believe It Comes in a Takeout Box
Has a board game ever made you drool? . . . No? Well get ready, dear reader, because that's about to change now that Monopoly Pizza has arrived. In this tasty twist on the classic game, players buy pizza rather than properties, advancing around the board and snatching up as many toppings as they can - from pepperoni and spinach to mac and cheese and pineapple. Players must aim to assemble a color set that corresponds to a certain type of 'za, such as barbecue chicken or veggie lovers. At the end of the game, whoever collects the most slices is crowned victorious.
Of course, the game pieces are pizza-themed, with shiny silver tokens shaped like a chef, cheese grater, pie slicer, and more. Oh, and we almost forgot to mention a very vital detail: Monopoly Pizza comes packaged in a takeout box that looks like the real deal - except, y'know, it's not covered in pizza grease. Check out a few photos of the foodie-approved Hasbro game ahead, and be sure to preorder it on Amazon or Walmart before the other pizza-lovers of the world beat you to it.

(BTW, Beyoncé was also in attendance, and she performed in the most spectacular red gown.)

If you're looking for a little inspiration on fashionable outfits to wear in the wintertime, we've turned to some of our favorite bloggers to show you how it's done.

Selena Gomez's 2018 Style Deserves All the Heart Eye Emoji
Selena Gomez made headlines earlier this year for getting back (then breaking up) with Justin Bieber. Aside from keeping an eye out for all their relationship details, our attention was also on her killer outfits.
The singer was spotted in everything from date-night ensembles to laid-back street style looks. Since taking a break from her love life, Selena has remained slightly more reclusive again. Perhaps this is to work on new music (she will perform at the Billboard Awards) or to take some much-needed R&R time. Regardless of what she's up to, know this: when Selena steps out again, all eyes will be on her outfit. Read on to see our favorite looks from her so far.

Kendall Jenner's Sexiest Looks of 2018 Just Might Make Your Screen Spontaneously Combust
Plunging necklines. Leg-baring hemlines. Sheer fabrics. These tricky outfit details are all wardrobe staples for Kendall Jenner, the reigning queen of sexy outfits. To celebrate Kendall's knack for shamelessly leaving little to the imagination with her outfit choices, we're reliving all of her hottest looks of the year ahead, in order of when she debuted them. Fair warning: you may not want to read this in an office setting, because most of the outfits are definitely classified as NSFW, due to Kendall's fondness for leaving her bra at home. Kendall Jenner Loves This Fuzzy Holiday Coat So Much, She Bought It in 2 Colors
How does the saying go again? If you find something you like, you buy it in every color? Well, Kendall Jenner seems to believe that rule, and I kinda don't blame her, especially after seeing the item in question. The supermodel was seen attending a Fleetwood Mac concert (because, of course, Stevie Nicks!) in Inglewood, CA, wearing an ultragroovy yellow coat by Saks Potts and By Far boots. Funnily enough, the style of the coat is aptly called Foxy.
If you're wondering why this furry-cuffed coat looks so familiar, it's because she wore the exact same style in a kelly green color on her birthday in November. Keep reading to get a closer look at her '70s-inspired outerwear, and buy the exact same one, as well as more affordable picks, ahead.

The "Halloween Queen" Decorated Her Christmas Tree, and the Sparkling Result Will Transfix You
You won't find chubby, smiling snowmen or basic baubles on Christine McConnell's Christmas tree. Rather, the confectioner behind Netflix's gothic baking show The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell prefers to decorate her balsam fir with spooky ornaments she made by hand. Did you expect anything less from the crafty genius?
The 37-year-old star made our Halloween-obsessed hearts soar when she shared a peek at her DIY tree decorations for this year, including a Santa hat-adorned skull, a creepy red spider, and a sparkly bat tree topper that's way cooler than any basic star or angel we've ever seen. Her tree was flanked by a sinister Siamese cat lamp with glowing eyes and one of her shiny spiders, which clung to the adjacent wall. "I tried something new by making a bunch of nonedible ornaments this year," Christine wrote while sharing a few gorgeous photos of her masterpieces on Facebook. "It was so much fun, I might make some more to give as presents!" What a sweet idea!

What Is Ginger Beer, Anyway?
For a refreshment so popular, it's interesting to note how many misconceptions exist about ginger beer. The drink, which originated in the mid-1700s in England, was first known as a fermented alcoholic beverage made from sugar, ginger, water, and a starter culture known as ginger beer plant. But today, the name "ginger beer" is actually a misnomer, as most commercial ginger beer is a soft drink and contains no alcohol (although a few brands, such as Crabbie's, do).
In comparison to ginger ale, ginger beer is more robust in flavor with a spicy quality. Ginger beer can be enjoyed alone, but it also plays a starring role in cocktails such as the dark and stormy and the Moscow Mule. How do you like to drink it?
1 Man Proposed to His Girlfriend With the Help of 16 Dogs, and Our Newsroom Is Collectively Shrieking
Laura Stampler, a writer and the author of the YA book Little Black Dresses, Little White Lies, has always been completely obsessed with dogs. So much so that when it came time for her boyfriend of four years - Maurice Goldstein - to propose, he brought along 16 pups to mark the occasion on a romantic hike in Runyon Canyon. Fortunately, Maurice enlisted the help of Los Angeles-based photographer Rebecca Yale to capture the memorable moment, and we're just in plain awe.
"I'm a big dog-lover - as is he," Laura told POPSUGAR. "We both grew up with rescues, and Maurice's family's German shepherd Scout actually goes running off-leash in the California mountains once a week with Pack of Hearts, a group run by Tony Vercillo." As a former staff writer for Time, she also got the chance to carve out a pet-related beat for herself, which included writing hilarious stories on "sexy Halloween costumes for pets."
Although Maurice and Laura had met three years beforehand, it wasn't until they matched on Tinder in 2014 that they got together. Fast forward four blissful years, and Maurice knew exactly how he was going to pop the question: with dogs from Pack of Hearts, of course! As soon as Laura said yes, the group of pups ran right toward her to offer up their own form of congratulations.
"I was beyond blown away. There were so many layers [of the proposal], and each dimension was specific to our relationship and shared interests."
"I was beyond blown away," said Laura. "There were so many layers [of the proposal], and each dimension was specific to our relationship and shared interests. From the singing (I was a huge choir nerd) to the dogs to one of my best friends capturing it all! And after that, Maurice took both our families to dinner - including my grandparents, which was incredibly meaningful."
Although the pair aren't planning on becoming full-on dog parents just yet, they recently got approved to foster through a rescue group called Muddy Paws - a NY-based organization that places dogs temporarily before finding their forever homes - and the timing couldn't be more perfect.
"We don't think we're ready for a full-time dog yet - we want to do some extended travel in the next couple years - but we would love to have dogs in our lives before then," said Laura, adding that, "We went to a foster event the week after we got engaged, have done our interviews, and have now been approved!"
Keep reading to get a look at the couple's jaw-dropping proposal and try not to get insanely jealous in the process.

Parents, Please Don't Give Your Kids a Puppy on Christmas Morning
Nothing compares to watching the excitement on your kids' faces when they open their gifts on Christmas morning. They eagerly rip open the boxes and their eyes instantly light up when they see that Santa has brought them the thing they've wanted more than anything. And for some on Christmas morning, that means a puppy. Those lovable creatures, with their floppy ears and giant feet, are a guaranteed hit. I mean, who wouldn't want a puppy? They're a great addition to any family. But just because everyone loves them doesn't mean they should be given as gifts. Keep reading for why you shouldn't give a puppy as a gift on Christmas morning, and how to safely bring one home if you do get one during the holiday season.
1. Christmas Is Too Overwhelming
Christmas is a notoriously hectic day. From opening gifts to cooking to having family over or going to someone else's house, Christmas just isn't the time to introduce a tiny puppy into your home and family. Kids, especially little kids, can also get emotional, scream, or grab at the puppy, which could scare them. This is especially true if your new pet isn't house trained yet. Getting a new animal on Christmas will add a whole new level of stress for you and for the puppy.
Dog expert Cesar Millan points out: "You've just thrown [them] into a completely alien environment with no direction, and these early associations are going to stick. The place is unfamiliar, it smells different, and there doesn't seem to be any way out." Unless you're going to stop the whole Christmas gift-giving process and devote your whole day to the dog, chances are you're going to really stress out your new pup.
2. Pets Are Family Members
Living, breathing creatures like puppies and kittens aren't toys - they're new members of the family that will require love and attention for the next 9 to 15 years. Puppies should require a great amount of thought and preparation. They need a fleet of supplies, from crates and beds to food and toys, and they need the time and space to acclimate to their new things and home.
3. Children Might Want to Have a Say
When I've adopted animals in the past, the shelter workers always ask if every member of the family is present and OK with the adoption of a pet. One shelter wouldn't even let me adopt my pup until I brought my roommate in to confirm that she was on board. Largely, this process should hold true for kids. If you're expecting children to love and take care of a puppy for the next decade at least, they should have some say in which puppy they get, otherwise this is just a gift for you, and that's not the way gifts work.
4. Instead, Plan a Family Trip
That being said, you can still "give a puppy" for Christmas. Instead of putting a puppy in a box or stocking, give your kid the puppy toys, the crate, or a leash. Explain to them what this gift means, and that they'll be able to help pick out and rescue their new pet. They'll feel more invested in the process because they get to help. Stay More Mindful in Your Everyday Life With This 1-Week Mindfulness Plan
It seems like we're constantly plugged in: scrolling through social media, listening to podcasts, and streaming TV shows take up all of our free time. But have you ever stopped to just take a big breath and be mindful? "Mindfulness" has become such a buzzword over the last couple of years, but what does it actually mean?
David Schiller, author of Mindfulness: Ideas and Inspiration to Open Your I, best describes mindfulness as "intentional seeing" in his book. To break it down, it means to "hit pause, slow down, try to let go of the endless stream of thoughts, and just focus on what's in front of us." This means being aware of your surroundings and your thoughts, and to be fully present.
Since we are so used to having distractions running in the background - listening to music in the car, watching TV while cooking, streaming a podcast while gardening - it's rare we are actually present and focused on what we are doing. Although that seems like a big ask, here are everyday ways you can incorporate mindfulness into your life. For just a couple of minutes a day, you can focus on your breathing, tune out your thoughts, and keep your mind on the simple task at hand.
We've compiled a one-week plan for being more mindful each day. Since mindfulness isn't meditation exactly, you may also want to add a few minutes of guided meditation into your day. The following opportunities for mindfulness will help you de-stress, focus, and have more energy for the rest of your busy life.
1 Side Effect Doctors Don't Want You to Fret Over, If You're Still Putting Off That Flu Shot
Despite the fact that it's easier than ever to get your flu shot (many stores and standalone pharmacies even offer the vaccine for free), there are lots of reasons you might be putting it off, from stressful holiday planning to vaccine-specific questions you simply haven't had the time to ask. Here's one you can check off your list: the flu shot is unlikely to interact with other injections or any of the prescription or over-the-counter medications you're taking.
"Currently there are no confirmed medications that interact with the annual flu vaccine," Carolyn Kaloostian, MD, MPH, a clinical assistant professor of family medicine at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine, told POPSUGAR. "There were some case reports over the last 30 years of increased medication levels of some anti-seizure and blood thinning medications. However, follow-up studies have not confirmed a consistent relationship, and these are likely a result of other factors."
Phil Johnson, MD, professor of general internal medicine at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, added that immunosuppressant or steroid drugs and certain vaccines, such as the PCV13 vaccine for pneumonia prevention (which is commonly given to adults over age 65), could make the flu vaccine less effective and cause a mild reaction it.
"However, this isn't a situation where we would necessarily warn a patient," Dr. Johnson said. "Getting other vaccines at the same time can cause bleeding at the injection site, but your doctor generally would not use this as a reason to warn against getting a flu shot."
Why? It's simple, really: the flu shot is just so important. "The annual flu vaccine is the best way to protect your loved ones and yourselves, as millions of people get the flu each year, and tens of thousands die from flu-related causes," Dr. Kaloostian said. The benefits far outweigh the risks and side effects, which are typically very mild.
This Is Why You're Always Bloated During Travel - Here's How to Fix It Before Your Next Trip
The process of traveling - especially during the holidays - can be extremely stressful due to traffic, flight delays, and trip cancellations. Besides testing your patience, travel can also disrupt how your body functions. Nope, we aren't talking about tight hamstrings because airlines have reduced how much leg room you have to accommodate more seats; we're talking about your digestive system.
Not exactly the icebreaker conversation you'll want to have with your seatmates, but it's important to know how travel impacts your digestion. To understand how that cross-country flight is messing with your stomach, making you bloated, gassy, and constipated, POPSUGAR spoke to Samantha Nazareth, a double board-certified gastroenterologist in New York City.

"Most people are traveling for hours on end, and not really moving a whole lot. As soon as we sit and don't move, that slows down the movements inside of us called peristalsis," Dr. Nazareth said. Peristalsis is wave-like muscle contractions that are responsible for moving the food you eat from your esophagus to your stomach and your intestines, and eventually, you've got to go number two.
Getting up throughout your flight or stopping at a rest stop to shake out your legs may help slightly, but if you really want to avoid constipation and other stomach discomfort, Dr. Nazareth recommends the following three pieces of advice - and they're easy to do.
