Grab Your Backpacks! There's Officially a Live-Action Dora the Explorer Movie in the Works

Big news for parents who have to pry their kids away from the TV as soon as the Dora the Explorer theme song comes on: there's officially a live-action movie in the works. Paramount Player announced that shooting began on Aug. 6 in Queensland, Australia, and we can hardly wait!

So who gets the honor of playing Dora IRL? Isabela Moner, a 17-year old actress whom you may recognize from Instant Family. Nicholas Coombe will star along Isabela as Randy, Dora's quick-thinking sidekick who may have developed a little crush on his BFF, and Michael Pena and Eva Longoria will play her parents.

As for the bad guy? According to The Hollywood Reporter, Benicio del Toro is slated to voice Swiper - the orange fox with some seriously sticky fingers - despite the fact filming wrapped up two weeks ago. Catch Dora the Explorer and all her friends in theaters on Aug. 2, 2019!

How to Keep Kids' Winter Coats Clean All Season Long

Winter coats are one of those items in your home that probably don't get laundered as often as they should, especially your kids' coats. Luckily, washing them doesn't necessarily involve schlepping them to the dry cleaner's, and it's easier than you think. Whether your kids have down, wool, or fleece jackets - or all three - just make sure that with each method, you remove any items from the pockets.

1. Down Jackets

If you live in a cold climate, chances are your child has a down jacket, puffer vest, or similar style of Winter coat. For this kind of coat, be sure to treat any grimy areas (especially around the collar and the bottoms of the sleeves) with a stain treatment. Then, you can throw it in the washing machine on a cold, delicate cycle. And don't panic when it comes out of the laundry looking a little strange! Just pop it in the dryer on a low heat and low tumble cycle, and throw in some old tennis balls to help make the coat fluffy again.

2. Wool Coats

Wool coats are a little more delicate than down jackets but almost as easy to clean provided you follow the right steps. Again, you'll want to treat any particularly grimy and dirty areas with a pretreatment first. Using a wool-friendly detergent (like Woolite), put the wool coat in the washer on a gentle cycle - cold or warm works fine. For drying, do not put a wool coat in the dryer as it could cause shrinkage; instead, hang it to dry and use a steamer for any wrinkles.

3. Fleece Jackets

It's hard to beat the coziness of a fleece jacket, but they tend to attract and hold onto dirt and other grime more than other jackets. Before you wash fleece, be sure to turn the jacket inside out. Only wash fleece jackets with like colors and in cold water with a liquid detergent, and be sure to avoid loading the washer with other items that might produce lint. When it comes to drying, it's best to let fleece air-dry by laying it on a flat surface. If that's not an option or if you're in a rush, you can put fleece in the dryer on a low heat temperature to prevent damage.

This Woman's Heartbreaking Open Letter to Social Media Companies After Her Stillbirth Makes Such a Good Point

Image Source: Unsplash / Christin Hume

Gillian Brockell gave birth to a stillborn son in November, but her nightmare didn't end there. In the days and weeks that followed, every time she got online, she was reminded of the baby she was supposed to have but didn't - all thanks to social media, digital advertisers, and their powerful algorithms that target pregnant women.

In a heartbreaking open letter to Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, she called out the tech companies' cruel methods that forced her, after her 30-week stillbirth, to continue to see ads for Pea in the Pod, Motherhood Maternity, and even Etsy decor she had planned for the nursery.

"Let me tell you what social media is like when you finally come home from the hospital with the emptiest arms in the world, after you've spent days sobbing in bed, and pick up your phone for a couple minutes of distraction before the next wail," she wrote. "It's exactly, crushingly, the same as it was when your baby was still alive."

"If you're smart enough to realize that I'm pregnant, that I've given birth, then surely you're smart enough to realize that my baby died."

She admitted that it likely began when she used Instagram hashtags about her #babybump or "clicked once or twice on the maternity-wear ads Facebook served up" during the first months of her pregnancy, but she rightfully wondered how they didn't catch on to searches beyond baby-safe crib paint and Amazon registries.

"But didn't you also see me googling, 'Is this Braxton Hicks?' and 'baby not moving?'" she asked. "Did you not see the three days of silence, uncommon for a high-frequency user like me? And then the announcement with keywords like 'heartbroken' and 'problem' and 'stillborn' and the 200 teardrop emoticons from my friends? Is that not something you could track?"

For many of these ads, she said she would click the "I don't want to see this ad" button only to be asked why. Then she'd have to click the cruel but true "It's not relevant to me" response. The only problem, she painfully discovered, is that these companies then came to a very different conclusion.

"It decides you've given birth, assumes a happy result, and deluges you with ads for the best nursing bras (I have cabbage leaves only breasts because that is the best medical science has to offer turn your milk off), tricks to get the baby to sleep through the night (I would give anything to hear him cry at all), and the best strollers to grow with your baby (mine will forever be 4 pounds, 1 ounce)."

Then, in the worst blow of all, Experian sent her a spam email encouraging her to "finish registering your baby," something she'd never even begun, in order to track his credit "throughout the life he will never lead."

Her request of these companies is so heartbreaking yet so, so simple:

"If you're smart enough to realize that I'm pregnant, that I've given birth, then surely you're smart enough to realize that my baby died, and can advertise to me accordingly, or maybe, just maybe, not at all."

Mom Can't Hold Back Tears as Man Gives Up His First-Class Plane Seat For Her and Her Sick Baby

A mother traveling across the country to seek treatment for her baby doesn't have much, if any, time to spare, but one mom took some moments to send a heartfelt thank-you to a stranger who brought her to tears.

Kelsey Zwick and her 11-month-old daughter had boarded an American Airlines flight from Orlando to Philadelphia, where baby Lucy receives treatment for chronic lung disease at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and as they were settling into their tight window seat, a flight attendant approached with an offer from a kind stranger.

"To the man in 2D," Kelsey wrote on Facebook later that day. "I don't know you, but I imagine you saw us somewhere. I was pushing a stroller, had a diaper bag on my arm and also lugging an oxygen machine for my daughter. We had smiles on our faces as we were headed to see her 'friends' at CHOP."

She continued: "We pre- boarded the plane, got cozy in our seat and made jokes to those around us about having to sit by my yelling-but-happy baby." That's when the attendant told her he was simply "waiting to switch seats."

Yes, he was giving up his comfortable, first-class seat to them.

"Not able to hold back tears, I cried my way up the aisle while my daughter Lucy laughed," she said. "She felt it in her bones too . . . real, pure, goodness. I smiled and thanked you as we switched but didn't get to thank you properly."

With a bit of time to reflect, Kelsey realized she wasn't just thankful for the few hours as a first-class passenger.

"Thank you, not just for the seat itself but for noticing," she said. "For seeing us and realizing that maybe things are not always easy. For deciding you wanted to show a random act of kindness to us. It reminded me how much good there is in this world. I can't wait to tell Lucy someday. In the meantime, we will pay it forward. AA 588 passenger in seat 2D, we truly feel inspired by your generosity."

15 Things That Always Happen During the Holidays When You Have a Big Family

Big families are a lot of fun, but when everyone gets together, things can get a little, well, chaotic. And when you're a part of a big family and the holidays roll around, that means lots of noise, shared meals, family traditions, and, yes, probably a few fights. Basically, anything can happen. It might be the span of generations or unique mix of personalities that make holidays with a large family an experience all its own, but no matter what does happen, you wouldn't have it any other way. Keep reading for 15 things you'll only understand if you come from a big family.

What My Miscarriages Have Taught Me About Self-Care

Self-care can take many forms, but for me, it basically used to be nonexistent. With a toddler at home, a Sunday night face mask or 30-minute reflexology once a month was the most I could do. It never felt like enough, but it was what I could squeeze into my schedule. That all changed after I lost my second pregnancy in a six-month period this year.

I had gotten far enough along in each pregnancy to feel that "this is really happening" feeling - and both losses shook me physically and emotionally. I saw how easy it would be to sink into my feelings of sadness, guilt, and anger, and I let myself go there for about a week after each loss. But after my second miscarriage, I decided that I couldn't just sit in my feelings. I needed to take control of the things that I actually could change - my physical and mental health being paramount. In the two months since my last miscarriage, I've embraced self-care when I needed it most.

A lot of women write or tell stories about their miscarriages once they're on the other side of it. I'm not on the other side yet. I'm in the thick of it right now. And one of the most helpful things for me has been to hear from other women who have dealt (or are dealing) with loss or fertility issues and to really talk about it. Case in point: Health writer Alison Prato's piece about how SoulCycle helped her deal with a string of miscarriages hangs on the wall at my local SoulCycle studio, and I read it every time I'm there. It continues to inspire me, after both of my losses, to take more control of my life and to do some things I enjoy. So while this piece isn't about SoulCycle, I hope that one of the eight self-care practices on my list will help someone the way Prato's words have helped me:

I Committed to Working Out

With one kid at home, it's hard to make time for exercise and easy to make excuses. My husband and I started scheduling out our week together every Sunday and making sure each of us has the time to exercise. By prioritizing it for each other and changing our schedules around so we both can get to the gym, we've been forced to commit. And like Elle Woods famously said, "Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy."

I Did Whole30

The Whole30 diet isn't for everyone, but it was so helpful for me to have this structure. My second lost pregnancy was really tough on my body (I think my body was trying to miscarry for about a month before I lost the pregnancy), and I gained some weight. Taking care of my body and being mindful of what goes in it has been such a great reset for me and makes me feel like I'm in control of something.

I Learned How to Say "No"

Not only have I said "no," but I've said "no" without excuses or justifications - and removed all feelings of guilt and FOMO in the process. After wavering for months about whether or not to fly across the country for my college reunion, I officially decided not to go. While I knew it would be a fun weekend, I also knew I'd leave exhausted and feeling pretty unhealthy. I'm not completely shutting down my social life, but learning how to say "no" to certain things has given me time to make space for other self-care practices.

I Picked Up a New Hobby

I had wanted to learn how to make jam for a long time but was too intimidated to try. After my second miscarriage, I decided to give it a shot. I was hosting an event the following month, so making jam as the party favors was the perfect opportunity. It was therapeutic to spend a couple hours prepping everything, following directions, and then seeing the results - and the whole process gave me a little space to get out of my own mind. It may not be the type of thing I'll do a lot, but it gave me a sense of accomplishment, and I know I'll do it again.

I Confided in Friends

This has been a huge help for me after each loss. Not only has it been helpful to open up about what's really going on in my life, but almost every single person I've talked to has had similar experiences. It's made me question the statistic that only one in four pregnancies end in miscarriage and has strengthened my bond with so many incredible women in my life.

I Started Going to Therapy

I think therapy is good for everyone. I had seen a therapist for some of high school, and since then, it was one of those things that was always on my to-do list. My second miscarriage was the kick in the butt I needed to finally go back. Going to therapy is a chance to have a conversation with someone who doesn't have a horse in my fertility race and is only looking out for my best interest. Plus, it's a full hour where I can focus solely on working out my own feelings and learn strategies to cope with and to combat some of the negative feelings I tend to fall back on.

I Started "Meditating"

I've tried meditating before, but it's just not for me. I want to like it, but I have been incapable of making it a habit. My acupuncturist (yes, I do that too!) suggested that instead of meditating, I drink my morning cup of coffee in silence. No phone, no computer, no magazine, no distractions. It's just 10 minutes alone drinking coffee. This has been a great way to squeeze in some thoughtful quiet time without technically meditating. While I don't necessarily spend that time processing my feelings, it helps me start the day with a clearer head and gives me some peaceful time before the chaos of the day begins.

I Wrote About It

There are some days when my feelings about the past year have gotten really overwhelming. I've never been a journaler, so instead, I've written my thoughts out in email drafts. I've ultimately decided to share them only with my therapist and my husband, but it's cathartic to let everything out at once. It's also been helpful to go back and read them later and see the progress I've made and the feelings I'm still grappling with.

When I started therapy, my therapist asked me when I'd feel better. I said, "When I'm pregnant again." While I still think that's true to a degree, I am a whole lot happier now, and I owe much of that to the intentional changes I've made in my life. I don't know when I'll get pregnant again or if it will work out the next time, and I have zero control over the matter. In the meantime, the ways that I take care of myself are completely in my control. I still have moments or entire days where I am overcome by the weight of this past year, but I'm grateful to have learned how to practice self-care with intention every single day in the process.

My Parents Were Always the Ones Screaming From the Sidelines; Here's How I Turned Out

Let's get one thing straight: my mom and dad are both wonderful people, and they raised three pretty awesome kids, or at least I'd like to think so! While I can't thank them enough for carting me from soccer game to lacrosse practice and back again - not to mention paying for everything - I was always completely mortified as a kid whenever my parents would scream on the sidelines.

We're not talking anything crazy. It's not like they were booted from games for abusing the refs or picking fights with parents from the other team. It was mostly just superexcited cheering during pivotal moments in the game and some well-meaning advice on what to do next, despite the fact neither of them has ever set foot in a competitive women's lacrosse game.

I'm eternally grateful for my parents seemingly showing up to every single game - I still can't figure out how they did it all with two full-time jobs - but I'll never forget the absolute moments of out-of-body rage I would feel when they would yell for me to do something or another on the field. In fact, I would get so heated about it, I would literally shoot them daggers or scream at them, "MOM, DAD, STOOPPPPP," during the middle of a play. I can't explain exactly why, but when you're dog tired from running around a field for hours on end, there's something about unsolicited advice from nonexperts that makes you see red.

When you're dog tired from running around a field for hours on end, there's something about unsolicited advice from nonexperts that makes you see red.

Now that I'm 26 years old and my days of playing competitive sports are long behind me, I'm starting to rethink my initial reaction to the constant stream of unhelpful pointers like, "Move to the ball!," "Keep running!," and "Shoooot!" coming from my parents' voice boxes.

Although I wanted to physically crawl under a rock and die in the moment, looking back, it's clear my mom and dad were so loud because they cared. Did they necessarily know what they were talking about? No. Did they think they were being especially helpful? Also no.

But guess what? They were passionate about the game because, well, I was. Clearly, they wanted me to know I could make that shot, execute that pass, or out-sprint my opponent. Sports were my life growing up, and that's how we connected as a family - whether it was my lacrosse game or me supporting my sister at her cross-country race - that's how they showed their love for us. The bottom line? They cared because I was determined to succeed. And even though I wanted to tackle them to the ground midgame most of the time, looking back, it was nice to know I always had their full support, regardless of how they expressed it.

I Finally Caved and Bought a Jogging Stroller, but Here's Why I'm So Glad I Did It

On multiple occasions my mom mentioned to me that I should buy a jogging stroller - in my second trimester, in my third, and even while I was recovering from delivery and not yet cleared for fitness. "You should really get a running stroller," she'd insist. "Ugh, no," I'd say quickly.

I'm a runner and come from a family of runners (well to be fair, they're runners, I'm a jogger), so she knew that I'd be itching to get back outside once my doctor gave me the go-ahead; she certainly wasn't saying it to give me postpartum body image issues.

I created a rigid perception of the mom I wanted to become.

But the reason I resisted wasn't because I was tired, and it wasn't even because I didn't want to drop the multiple hundreds of dollars on another hideous gizmo. It was because I created a rigid perception of the mom I wanted to become, and in that definition there was no room for an adjustable front-wheel tracking, state-of-the-art behemoth of a jogging stroller. Women who used those seemed, I felt, flashy. Like a middle-aged man in a bright red Ferrari who has to grunt every time he gets out of it. Running with an enormously long Bob stroller seemed more like an attention-seeking tool than an honest vehicle for fitness. I would not cave to the pressure.

But time went on and months flew by, and the opportunities for me to work fitness into my new life as a mother were few and far between. One morning I glanced at my running shoes in the shoe bin and felt an emptiness in my stomach. I missed them.

It was at that moment I went onto Nextdoor and bought a used Bob jogging stroller covered in dirt for $50. I hosed it down, tossed my daughter in, and took the Ferrari out for a ride. Not only did zero people look, gawk, or roll their eyes at me, but I felt fantastic. The run itself was awful - my knees ached and I hadn't fully rehabilitated my pelvic floor so I peed everywhere - but doing something I loved without restriction was, in a way, a reintroduction to living.

I feel foolish now for thinking that the jogging stroller was anything but an absolutely necessity. When I put my daughter in it and lace up my sneakers, it's not because we're spending quality time together, or because I want to flaunt whatever it is I'd be flaunting throughout my neighborhood. It's because I'm dying to go on a run and I can't just leave my daughter at home alone. The Bob is an absolute necessity in maintaining my sanity, and it's basically a babysitter on wheels.

Ashton and Mila's Christmas Gift to Dax and Kristen Will Make You Cackle So Hard

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis certainly didn't hold back with their Christmas gift to Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell. On Friday, the CHIPS actor gave a glimpse of the couple's interesting gift, and it has us cackling. While most Christmas presents come in the form of gifts cards, Mila and Ashton went the extra mile by gifting the couple with a shower curtain featuring a photo of . . . themselves. LOL! "What a generous Christmas gift from the Kunis-Kutcher family," Dax jokingly captioned the photo of him holding the curtain. "A beautiful shower curtain for the attic(t) bathroom!"

Ashton and Dax's friendship goes all the way back to 2003, when they were on MTV's Punk'd, though they recently teamed up for Netflix's The Ranch. Their wives are also close friends and have starred in multiple films together, including Bad Moms and A Bad Moms Christmas. We can't wait to see what Dax and Kristen will gift Ashton and Mila with in return!

A Comprehensive Timeline of the Murder Cases at the Heart of Netflix's The Innocent Man

Netflix begins its latest stab at the true-crime documentary genre, The Innocent Man, with a telling quote from memoirist Anaïs Nin: "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." The line rings true over and over again as the series progresses, bringing to light new, painful truths about the cases of two murdered women from Ada, OK: Debbie Carter, a waitress at a bar, and Denice Haraway, a convenience store clerk.

The brutal killings, which took place a few years apart in the 1980s, shocked the residents of the small town and eventually gained national attention when John Grisham's sole nonfiction book, The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town, focused on the police investigation's glaring mishandling of both cases. Now Grisham has worked with director Clay Tweel to bring the stories to light via a docuseries, diving deep into the controversial sentencing of two sets of men (one pair were released after it was proven they didn't kill Carter, while the other men still languish in prison for Haraway's death).

If you want a clearer look at Netflix's six-part documentary series about the murders that shook Ada, or a comprehensive timeline of what happened, read on.

Miley Cyrus Covers Another Christmas Classic, and It's Hauntingly Beautiful

Miley Cyrus is releasing new music, which could be considered a holiday gift in itself! On Friday, the singer released her second collaboration with Mark Ronson, a stirring cover of the John Lennon classic "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)." The gorgeous rendition also features vocals from John's son Sean Ono Lennon, whom he shared with wife Yoko Ono. This has always been one of my favorite holiday songs, and I love the extra jolt it gets from Miley's gritty, sweeping voice.

You may remember Miley's chill-inducing "Silent Night" cover from 2015, and this is a pretty fantastic (and festive) follow-up. Listen to it above now, then check out the holiday albums we're loving this season.

The Way Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande Are Supporting Each Other's Music Is the Energy I Need Right Now

Miley Cyrus and Ariana Grande just want everyone to get along.

In the midst of the internet being abuzz with . . . this . . . the singers took to social media ahead of the release of their brand-new singles on Thursday night to support each other via a sweet Twitter exchange. It all started with a tweet from Grande that referenced the current feud between Drake and Kanye West. "Guys, I know there are grown men arguing online rn but Miley and I dropping our beautiful, new songs tonight so if y'all could please jus [sic] behave for just like a few hours so the girls can shine that'd be so sick thank u," she wrote.

Shortly after, Cyrus chimed in to support Grande's plea for peace and to plug her new song. She wrote, "Didn't they hear the news ?! War IS over ! Thank you , next!" Hours later, Grande dropped her single "Imagine," while Cyrus released her collaboration with Mark Ronson and Sean Ono Lennon, a cover of "Happy Xmas (War Is Over)."

Will There Be a Mary Poppins Returns Sequel? Emily Blunt Is Definitely Interested

Mary Poppins Returns hasn't even been released yet, and it's already making headlines. Not only is the Mary Poppins sequel getting rave reviews, but it has also already been nominated for a handful of awards, including a Golden Globe nomination for best musical or comedy. Although the movie in itself is a continuation of the memorable 1964 film, we can't help but wonder: will the new movie inspire yet another sequel?

While Disney has yet to comment one way or the other, it seems the film's leading lady is already on board. During an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Emily Blunt said she would definitely be down to do a sequel. "Yes," the English actress said. "I want to be her again. I like being her."

Seeing that the franchise is based on P. L. Travers's book series, there is definitely room to expand the story. In fact, the first Mary Poppins book inspired seven sequels, with the last, Mary Poppins and the House Next Door, being released in 1988. Guess we'll just have to wait and see!

Timeless Teases the Time Team's "Final Mission" in the Epic Trailer For the 2-Hour Movie

Buckle up, clockblockers, because Timeless is returning to your screens very soon. After getting canceled for a second time in June, the time-traveling series will be back for a two-hour finale on NBC in December. Not only will the movie wrap up any additional storylines (including the huge season two finale cliffhanger), but it also already sounds like one heck of an adventure. Read all the details about the upcoming movie ahead!

Let's Discuss What's Going On With Kanye West and Drake and Why Kim Kardashian Got Involved

In 1997, Notorious B.I.G. asked the world "What's Beef?," and years later, we're still trying to figure it out. Kanye West and Drake have had their ups and downs, and this week, while Drake was posting shirtless photos on Instagram, Kanye had some things to get off his chest - and as usual, it all went down on Twitter.

Earlier this year, Drake accused Kanye of adding to his long-standing drama with Pusha T and said Kanye told Pusha about Drake's secret son after he confided in him, which resulted in a gut-wrenching diss track. Kanye denied sharing that information, and the two have had a rocky relationship since. On Thursday, Kanye requested a meeting with Drake after Drake wanted to get clearance to release a song that sampled Kanye's "Say You Will," and, well, Kanye wasn't having it. Read on to see how everything unfolded this week and how Kim Kardashian even got involved after Drake allegedly threatened Kanye's family.

The 2 Big Lessons Karamo Brown Learned While Filming Queer Eye Will Make You Emotional

If you're anything like us, rewatching Queer Eye episodes on a loop is very much a lifestyle. After all, there's no such thing as too much of the Fab 5, right? Recently, Karamo Brown drove me around New York City in a brand-new 2019 Ford Edge - that can literally parallel park itself using Active Park Assist - and discussed everything he's learned from filming three seasons of the show to Ford's new survey on holiday stress. And yup, we're more obsessed than ever before.

"[I've learned] two lessons from being on Queer Eye. [The first] is that we all had the ability to grow," he told POPSUGAR. "I think sometimes we look at people of a certain age, certain political backgrounds, or whatever it may be, and we assume that's just who they are. But we don't realize that every single person has an ability to grow. If you just water them with education and love, they can become better people. And not better people in the sense of what I think is better, but better [versions] of who they are."

The second lesson also involves self-improvement, however, he admits that he and the rest of the gang have often become the students. "You never stop learning," he said. "We're are all pretty smart men, and yet we go in here and we learn something from our heroes just as much as they learn from us." Nope, it doesn't get any more heartwarming than that!

You're Going to Freak When You See All the Movies That Are Turning 20 Next Year

With each passing year, the slow and unstoppable march of time can really weigh a person down. The longer you're on this Earth, the faster time passes by, and the more small things may alarm you. That's why I'm thrilled to present a very special list: a bunch of movies that have officially been around for two decades. There are quite a few formative films from 1999; 10 Things I Hate About You gave us all kinds of unrealistic romance goals, while Toy Story introduced us to a franchise that would make us cry for . . . well, for the next two decades. (Toy Story 4 is coming next year!) And that's just the tip of the iceberg. Let's dig in and cry about how old we are together.

What Did I Do in a Past Life to Be Punished With These Harry and Meghan "Wax Figures"?

On Dec. 11, Madame Tussauds in Berlin did something really perplexing. At first glance, it may look like it unveiled wax figures of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but the truth is so much worse. According to the event details, the museum actually placed wax masks of Meghan and Harry on real people, and these real people participated in the Christmas photo shoot of our nightmares.

Each "tableau" is stranger than the last: after posing nicely together, they then proceeded to have some kind of gift exchange that involved an existential crisis on Wax Meghan's end and the strangest, most childlike behavior on Wax Harry's end. It's all certainly jarring, especially coming directly after Meghan's glowing surprise appearance at the 2018 Fashion Awards. Don't let me describe the terror using words alone, though. Please, let's endure this waking Christmas nightmare together.

Eliza Dushku Was Paid $9.5 Million to Stay Quiet About Sexual Harassment on CBS Show Bull

Eliza Dushku signed on for three episodes of the CBS show Bull in March 2017 and was told there were plans to make her a series regular. But after she confronted the show's star Michael Weatherly about inappropriate sexual comments he'd made toward her on set that made her uncomfortable, she was suddenly written off the show. CBS paid her a confidential settlement of $9.5 million, which is approximately what she would have made as a cast member for four seasons, The New York Times reports.

Dushku, whom you might know from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Bring It On, alleged that Weatherly's comments included remarks about her appearance, "spanking" her, and rape jokes. When the two were filming a scene in a windowless van, Weatherly said he would take her into his "rape van," People reports. In another instance, Dushku made a gesture with three fingers on set, and Weatherly responded by saying it meant she wanted to have a threesome with him and another guy from Bull. She said the crew laughed at this exchange.

The settlement came in January of this year, but it forbid Dushku from talking about her experiences on the show. The details of the allegations and settlement are now being discussed as CBS's larger investigation into Les Moonves continues. Numerous women through the years have accused the former CBS chief of sexual harassment, including actress Cybill Shepherd, who says her show was canceled after she rejected his request to come home with him. He allegedly told her his wife and "mistress" didn't turn him on and said, "Well, you know, why don't you let me take you home?"

Weatherly released a statement to The New York Times following Dushku's accusations. He said, "During the course of taping our show, I made some jokes mocking some lines in the script. When Eliza told me that she wasn't comfortable with my language and attempt at humor, I was mortified to have offended her and immediately apologized. After reflecting on this further, I better understand that what I said was both not funny and not appropriate and I am sorry and regret the pain this caused Eliza."

A CBS spokesperson gave a statement to People, saying, "The allegations in Ms. Dushku's claims are an example that, while we remain committed to a culture defined by a safe, inclusive, and respectful workplace, our work is far from done."

6 Award Season Contenders That Are Already Available on Netflix

As award season gears up for the next few months, there are a flood of movies being released and brought back to the forefront as critics and fans scramble to predict who the big nominees and winners will be. The Golden Globe nominations were a pretty good indicator of which way the wind is blowing: a diverse combination of critically acclaimed blockbusters like Black Panther, Crazy Rich Asians, and A Star Is Born, along with lesser-known titles that are suddenly the center of attention and a few movies that aren't even in theaters yet.

We're keeping an eye on contenders in all the categories, not just the big awards. If you are, too, here are a few movies you can catch on Netflix that are likely to play a part in the award season conversations.

The Wistful Lyrics of Ariana Grande's "Imagine" Have Fans Wondering If It's About Mac Miller

Some artists would rest after dropping a critically acclaimed album, followed quickly by a record-breaking music video for a surprise song fans didn't even expect, but not Ariana Grande. Instead the singer has already been at work on her fifth studio album (also titled Thank U, Next) while preparing for her Sweetener world tour, kicking off in March 2019 - her first since the tragic terror attack in Manchester during her Dangerous Woman tour. Just weeks after the drop of the "Thank U, Next" music video, Grande released the second song from the upcoming album, "Imagine," and the track has her fans asking a lot of questions.

"Imagine" is a dreamy, romantic song similar to "R.E.M." from Sweetener, though much more wistful. The track fantasizes about a perfect love that Grande describes as "now (and forever) unattainable." It fits the vibe of how Grande illustrated Thank U, Next to Billboard, where she said that her next album is "not particularly uplifting," and that while some of the music sounds upbeat, "it's actually a super sad chapter." The obvious longing and lyrics of "Imagine" have spurred fans into theorizing that the inspiration for the song is most likely Grande's ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, who died of an accidental overdose in September. There are several factors that do indicate the song could be about the rapper, though Grande hasn't revealed anything beyond the meaning of the song on Twitter. The most credible among the many clues that fans have laid out on Twitter is the fact that the late rapper had a tattoo that read "imagine." Though the entire song is up for speculation (as you can see in the tweets from fans ahead), that's the biggest connection between Miller and "Imagine."

However, since this is all speculation and we don't know anything for sure, all we can attest to is that the song itself is beautiful and definitely worth a listen. It's a song about the universal concept of loss - that feeling when, even though we know something is gone, we can't help but think about when it wasn't. When all we want to do is imagine a world where whoever or whatever we lost is still here. Maybe that's what makes the song so powerfully bittersweet, that we've all been in that state where we live in our memories because it's better than living in today. Maybe that matters more than who the song is or isn't about.

Pitbull Sampled Toto's "Africa" in a New Song For Aquaman - I'm So Sorry, You Read That Right

Ladies and gentlemen, you wanted a Pitbull track that samples Toto's 1982 classic, "Africa," and you finally got it . . . HA, just kidding. No one asked for that, but it happened anyway!

On Dec. 13, the Cuban-American rapper released his song "Ocean to Ocean," which is featured on the new soundtrack for the upcoming Aquaman movie. The song, which is a modern rendition of the Toto hit, has garnered quite a bit of attention online. And people have, er, thoughts. "R.I.P. Africa by Toto 1982-2018. It was all fun and games till Pitbull got his hands on you. You will be missed, you blessed tune," said one Twitter user. Another unimpressed user chimed in, saying, "In these dark uncertain times this is the song we didn't need." Ouch.

But not all of the reactions were scathing. We searched far and wide and dug through the itty-bitty crevices of the Twitter-sphere (and even kept scrolling past the message "Show additional replies, including those that may contain offensive content") to find people who actually liked the song and appreciated the rapper's new tune. So go ahead and listen to the track above (or don't - it's up to you), then read some of the hilarious reactions to it ahead.

Ever Wondered What Jason Momoa Looks Like in a Bikini? Wonder No More, Because There's a Photo

Jason Momoa is definitely serving us more than we deserve right now. From his red carpet haka to some very memorable SNL sketches, the Aquaman star is on top form. As if that wasn't enough, on Thursday, Carmen Electra shared what has to be the best #TBT we've ever seen. Posing with his Baywatch costars, a young Jason is barely recognizable as he sports a skimpy bikini. Yes, we said bikini. Complete with pigtails to match the look, it's probably the best thing we've seen all week.

This isn't the first time a photo of Jason has made us stop and stare. We tried not to actually pass out when we saw these shirtless pictures of him, and we're convinced his back is the sexiest thing on the planet, but nothing quite compares to the pink bikini and pigtails. You're welcome!

This Mind-Blowing Detail About Lady Gaga's 2015 Oscars Performance Has Me Spiraling

Bradley Cooper contends the moment he realized he wanted to cast Lady Gaga for A Star Is Born was at the 2016 Parker Institute Gala, where she fittingly performed "La Vie En Rose." (Gaga would go on to cover the same song for the movie.) Well, I'm sorry, but I think he's a liar. Why? It is my personal belief that a seed was planted much earlier - a year earlier in fact, at the 2015 Academy Awards.

If you can recall, it was at that show that Gaga performed a stellar medley of The Sound of Music in honor of the film's golden anniversary. The flawless performance served as a reminder of Gaga's talent, since it had been a few years since her previous album Artpop, which wasn't very well-received, critically, and her only other release in the interim had been her collaborative album with Tony Bennett. In addition to viewers at home, you know who else enjoyed the performance? Jackson f*cking Maine . . . as portrayed by three-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper.

See, as Gaga gazed at the crowd knowing full well she did that, the camera cut to several audience members applauding. If you speed up to 4:17 in this video of the performance, you'll see none other than three-time Academy Award nominee Bradley Cooper in the crowd there clapping for his future Ally Maine, née Campana. And in that moment, his star was born. (I will absolutely not apologize for that.)

As if that all wasn't mind-blowing enough, behind Cooper you can also spot Clint Eastwood, who was originally in talks to direct the remake before Cooper snagged the gig! The two were seated near each other because Cooper starred in Eastwood's American Sniper, which granted him a best actor nomination that year. Hollywood, man.

Only Stream These Movies on Netflix If You Like Drop-Dead Sexy Guys

Sometimes you just really want to watch superhot guys being sexy and shirtless - and we support that. In fact, we support it so much that we've rounded up more than 60 movies available on Netflix that feature the most smoldering eye candy around for a shameless movie night in. Some of these characters are being romantic, some are showing off their guns (and abs) in action movies, and some are pure evil (in a really hot way), but what they all have in common is, well, we want to jump their bones. I can't vouch for the quality of all these movies, but the actors starring in them aren't ugly. Pass the remote . . .

These Politically Charged Music Videos Had Us Screaming "Do It For the Culture!" in 2018

Let's not mince words: 2018 was a year of major political and social conflict. There were hundreds of mass shootings in America, hate crimes were on the rise, we witnessed horrific acts of violence against marginalized groups, and the very cornerstones of democracy were threatened in myriad ways around the globe. But with every voice that's suppressed, another rises up to speak against inequality, call out social injustices, celebrate our differences, and advocate for change. And that, my friends, is what we call "doing it for the culture."

This year, countless musical artists used their platforms to not only address political and social turmoil, but uplift and encourage underrepresented groups. Childish Gambino hurled us into a gyre of "shook" when he dropped the music video for "This Is America" in May, and Beyoncé and JAY-Z practically stopped time when they released the video for "Apesh*t" in June. They weren't just clips imbued with spectacles and impeccable production value; they were powerful commentaries on hot-button issues that we've been forced to confront in recent years: gun violence, racism, and sexism among them.

While many music videos placed politics and social justice at the forefront this year, some stood out as especially impactful. Read on to see a few of the videos that generated constructive conversations, all while providing the masses with some serious bangers.

The Bouquets Had Lightsaber Handles at This Star Wars Wedding - and the Bride Wore Black

If you want to bring the Force to your nuptials, look no further than Crystal and Jonathan's gorgeous Star Wars-themed wedding for inspiration. The two first met while they were students at Purdue University, which is why the campus holds a great deal of sentimental value to the pair. They fittingly decided to have their wedding at the Purdue Memorial Union and embellished the place with decor inspired by their favorite film franchise. "Their reception was Star Wars-themed and it was amazing! They made most of the decorations and each table's centerpiece was a different world from Star Wars. Crystal hand made all of the bouquets with origami flowers and lightsaber handles," said Jasmine Norris-Dixson, the woman behind the camera who captured the happy moments from the wedding. "Also, the Star Wars theme was a surprise for all their guests."

The pair had so many more layers of unique ideas catered to their love story. For instance, instead of a traditional layered cake, they opted for a delicious cookie cake with the phrase, "'Til the Death Star do we part" written in frosting on it. The newlyweds explained their decision, saying: "We got Insomnia Cookies instead of a big fancy cake. We wanted to capture our time at Purdue in the food and feel of the wedding, and Insomnia Cookies is a big part of that." There are so many more cute details to look out for, so keep reading!
