Something Wicked This Way Comes With 2 More Seasons of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has officially cast a spell on us all, and Netflix is loving it. The streaming site has renewed the dark teen drama for 16 more episodes, which will be released over seasons three and four (officially called "parts three and four."). The Riverdale spinoff was initially picked up with a two-season, 20-episode order, and this announcement comes ahead of the premiere of "part two" on April 5.
Archie Comics, where the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina universe originates, announced the news on Twitter writing, "Salem's got some special news for you: #ChillingAdventuresOfSabrina has been renewed for 16 more episodes! @sabrinanetflix Part 2 arrives April 5, 2019 with 9 episodes and Parts 3 & 4 will follow with 16 more!"

Miley Cyrus Just Seemingly Confirmed That She and Liam Hemsworth Are Married!
Wedding bells are definitely in the air this holiday season! It looks like longtime loves Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth officially tied the knot over the weekend. Speculation was sparked after photos and videos were posted that showed the couple enjoying what looks like a wedding reception, surrounded by their friends and family. On Dec. 26, the singer posted a few of her own photos from the same celebration - seemingly confirming the wedding - showing her and Liam embracing, with her beau sporting a wedding band on his left hand.
In the Instagram stories posted by surfer Conrad Jack Carr, the 26-year-old "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart" singer and the Hunger Games actor, 28 - dressed in a white dress and black tux respectively - are shown holding a knife in front of a wedding cake and cupcakes. In the background of the shot are Miley's mom, Tish, and a friend who seems to be holding a copper mug up in what looks like a toast. Carr also posted a video that shows Liam taking a "shotski" with his father, Craig, and brothers, Chris and Luke, as giant Mr. and Mrs. balloons float clearly in the background.
Though Miley's sisters, Noah and Brandi, aren't seen in any of Conrad's shots, Noah posted a photo to her own Stories with the surfer in front of the Mr. and Mrs. balloons, as well as a selfie with tears in her eyes, giving the camera a thumbs up. It's safe to say the celebration was an emotional one!
Miley and Liam famously rekindled their romance back in January 2016. While the couple has remained pretty tight-lipped about their wedding plans, they have never been shy about their feelings for one another. Considering how recently they suffered the loss of their Malibu home to the 2018 Woolsey Fire, we're happy to see they're in such a great place right now!

Jumpstart Your New Year's Resolution With This Beginner's 4-Week Strength Training Program
Now that you've decided to start lifting weights, you're probably wondering where exactly you should begin. We know the weight room can seem intimidating, which is why we created this guide to get you acclimated to lifting weights. This program is designed to first and foremost introduce you to weightlifting, and second help you build lean muscle - and yes, you'll lose fat as well.
You'll work out three times a week for four weeks. Ideally we'd like you to do the strength sessions with a lighter activity day in between (swimming, yoga, etc.), but we do understand that life happens, so move them around to fit your schedule! The first two weeks will be very simple but still challenging. On weeks three and four, the sets and reps will increase. A sample week will look like the following:
- Monday: Week 1, Workout A
- Tuesday: Foam roll for 15 minutes
- Wednesday: Week 1, Workout B
- Thursday: 20-minute easy run
- Friday: Week 1, Workout C
- Saturday: Hour long walk
- Sunday: Yoga
For the exercises that require weight, start with either 7.5-pound or 10-pound dumbbells. If this feels too light or too heavy, make necessary adjustments. It's more important to master the movement than to move carelessly with heavier weights. Don't forget to warm up and cool down after every workout. For your warmup you can do an easy run or dynamic exercises to activate your muscles like butt kicks, high knees, plank saws, and glute bridges.
Since you're being more active, you will more than likely notice that you have a larger appetite. Listen to your body and fuel it with nutritious foods like vegetables, protein, complex carbs, and healthy fats. Drink lots of water and be sure to replace the electrolytes you've lost with a sports drink or electrolyte tablets.

Shay Mitchell Reveals She Suffered a Miscarriage in a Heartbreaking Post
Shay Mitchell is opening up about the highs and lows of last year. On Jan. 1, the Pretty Little Liars actress revealed that she suffered a miscarriage in 2018 as she reflected on the past year. "Although it was an amazing year it didn't come without hardships," she wrote on her Instagram Story. She then shared a photo of her sonogram alongside a broken heart emoji.
"We all have to deal with various struggles and challenges in life. And sometimes it's easier to only showcase the good times on social media, which is what leads many people to criticize it for its lack of authenticity," she continued. "Having so many people follow me on Instagram and read my posts is both incredibly humbling and hugely uplifting. The support and affection that so many of you show me lifts me up during even my darkest days, one of which happened last year after I miscarried and lost the child of my hopes and dreams," she continued. "In the spirit of the new year, I think that we need to remember that we are all on this journey together - in good times and in bad - and to remind ourselves that we seldom really know or understand the struggles and hardships that other people are going through."
She concluded her post by encouraging her followers to be more compassionate in the new year. Outlander's New Episode Changes 4 Key Plot Points From the Book - Here's Why That's a Good Thing
Warning: spoilers for Outlander season four, below.
It's no secret that the Outlander show writers have had a formidable task in adapting Diana Gabaldon's lengthy books for television. As executive producer Maril Davis told POPSUGAR in a recent interview, "Diana's books are huge and there's no way to get ever nook and cranny from the books onto the show."
That being said, the latest episode, titled "The Birds and the Bees," felt even more sped up than most entries into the series. The 50-minute story manages to cover months of time, condensing and omitting key plot points from the book left and right. In case you need a refresher about how exactly it all goes down in the Gabaldon's novel - or if you've never read the books and are curious - here are the biggest differences in the adaptation and what they mean for the show.
The Aftermath of Brianna's Rape
In the book, days pass between Brianna (Sophie Skelton) consummating her marriage to Roger (Richard Rankin) and being raped by Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers), whereas on the show, less than an hour goes by between when Roger storms off and Brianna meets Bonnet. In fact, readers don't see the rape happening in real time; they hear about it later when Brianna recounts her trauma to Claire (Caitriona Balfe). All of this happens after she has met her father and traveled to Fraser's Ridge.
But it makes sense to change the order of things around, especially here. Seeing it onscreen - even if the rape actually happens mostly offscreen - gives Brianna's attack a greater impact than hearing about it later. Plus, it has always felt a little weird reading the book to think that sometime in the midst of handfasting with Roger and meeting Jamie, Brianna meets Bonnet and is raped. She goes about her business as if nothing has happened, and we only learn about the rape months later, which is quite jarring.
Fergus's Trial
Non-book readers may be surprised to learn that there's a whole side plot where Fergus (played by Cesar Domboy in the show) is on trial for attacking a redcoat who was trying to steal his horse. That's what brings Jamie (Sam Heughan) down from the ridge, to testify on Fergus's behalf - and it turns out it was actually Marsali (Lauren Lyle) who kicked the redcoat in the jaw when he tried to steal the horse. Brianna even attends the trial before heading back to the ridge.
This sort of thing definitely adds more intrigue to the agents of the Crown being out to get Jamie - they try to make him come to the trial to testify during harvest, thereby damaging the harvest because Claire can't possibly bring in all the crops herself - but it makes sense why it was cut. The show just doesn't have the same luxury Gabaldon has with her pacing.
"I think if you're a book fan, you're like - I want to see every single page in that book translated to the screen," Davis told us. "[But] we have 13 episodes, as opposed to Diana - she's said many times she has so much more time and luxury to spread these things out . . . The best we can do is lay out the story, lay out the major tent poles, lay out where we need to go and fit in as much as we can. That means, obviously, that a lot of story has to go. But at the end of the day, if we can stay true to the spirit of the book and the spine of the book, we feel we've done our job."
Brianna Finds Her Parents
Brianna meeting Jamie happens basically the same way on the show as it does in the book, though interestingly, book Brianna gets to briefly meet her aunt, Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy), at River Run before Fergus's trial.
Claire, however, is nowhere to be seen. Brianna isn't reunited with her until they make their way back to Fraser's Ridge - and we don't get to hear Brianna tell her parents about the death notice. It is mentioned in passing and doesn't come up again until much later, plus in the book, they have a definite date for the fire that will kill Jamie and Claire.
The Misunderstanding With Roger
The show definitely has the gist of this storyline down, but there's one big difference: on the show, Lizzie (Caitlin O'Ryan) knows for sure that Brianna was raped because she sees the aftermath with her own eyes. Lizzie assumes it was Roger, the man she saw arguing with Brianna in the street. When he appears at Fraser's Ridge, Lizzie tells Jamie and Ian (John Bell) that he's the man who attacked Bree.
In the book, when Bree returns from her handfasting and lovemaking with Roger, she hasn't been raped yet. That happens days later. That night, Lizzie infers an awful lot based on Bree's demeanor after her fight with Roger and then later, Lizzie takes it upon herself to tell Jamie that Roger raped Brianna. Lizzie is quite meddlesome and presumptuous in the book, and it's actually kind of nice that the show changed this a bit. It makes the misunderstanding feel a bit less contrived.
Suffice to say, the show writers managed to squeeze a great many events from the book into this episode. But as Davis tells us, they do the best they can with the allotment of screen time they're given, and she actually doesn't think this season is whizzing along any faster than previous seasons have.
"I'm not sure I've noticed this season more than other seasons that it's going so much faster, but I'm thrilled the way it all worked out. We certainly break the season where we pull out the tent-pole moments and want to make sure we hit everything, and I'm sure that we did that," says Davis. "At the end of the day, we just have to try to come to a consensus among ourselves and try to do the major moments and stay on the path. If we can stick to the spirit of the book and if Diana is happy, we feel we've done the best job we can. I think there's a very satisfying ending to the season."

6 Ways I Benefited From Turning Off My Phone For Just 1 Week
I've had a cell phone since I was 11. I know - let that sink in for a second. Post 9/11, my parents wanted to make sure my brother and I had a way to get in touch with them in case of emergencies, so for the past decade and a half, I've had a phone essentially super glued to my left hand. In essence, I've been conditioned.
This past year, I hit my threshold of feeling overwhelmed. I was so tuned into everything around me and around the world 24/7, responding to everyone within seconds, constantly available . . . that I forgot to tune into what I needed. As such, stress levels contributed to atrocious mental health, chronic illness, and a destroyed immune system.
I needed to do a hard reset, and not on my phone - on my life.
The reset started with clearing my calendar, finding a place to chill out and rest, and then digitally detoxing. Phase one: move apps like Instagram to new folders on my phone and put new apps in their former places to see how often I was mindlessly opening them. Phase two: delete social media apps temporarily. To say I was a kid who loved coffee would be an understatement. I was obsessed with it. During the summers I ordered Frappuccinos with loads of whipped cream on top. In the wintertime, it was Dunkaccinos from Dunkin Donuts, the hot chocolate-coffee hybrid that tasted like it was straight out of a dream. When other tweens were drinking soda and chocolate milk during lunchtime, I somehow managed to get my hands on the chilled "to-go" beverages from Starbucks - you know the ones that came in the glass bottle? Yes, I was hooked.
However, all of this changed during college. It was just around the time that I graduated from Mocha Frappuccino to Caramel Macchiato with soy milk that I started feeling coffee's negative effects. The caffeine made me jittery, anxious, and unfocused - symptoms that only intensified if I drank it on an empty stomach. I knew I needed to make a change and quick.
One day while walking around Whole Foods in a cranky, caffeinated haze, I came across a glass case full of ginger shots. I decided on a whim that this is what I would replace my coffee with, and I've never looked back. Here are all the ways it improved my health and my life.
I Got Strong Instead of Skinny, and I've Never Been Happier
For most of my teenage years and early 20s, I considered a "great body" to be skinny with thin legs and a booty that was on the smaller, flatter end. I thought my bigger bubble butt was too large for my small frame on top, and I desperately wanted to hide my curves that are now much more embraced, even sought after, in today's world. I'd wear larger tops to conceal my butt, and I'd always feel a little self-conscious when I had to wear shorts, a bikini, or tighter dresses. I've always been a pretty confident person, but there was a piece missing: I couldn't overcome my obsession with how my body looked on a daily basis.
Because I wanted to drop those pounds and look like other people at my school who had skinnier bodies, I developed an unhealthy eating style that persisted for a few years. Cycling through various eating disorders, chronic food guilt, and a compulsive need to think so critically before making food choices, I suffered emotionally all the damn time. I'd plan what I would eat from a restaurant menu a day or two before, going back and forth on what I thought had the least number of calories. I'd decide how much of my meal to eat compared to what others were eating around me. And if I did end up eating more than I thought I should, I'd feel like crap and beat myself up over it for hours and even days. So many wasted minutes were spent obsessing over food, how it affected my body and took me away from getting skinnier, and how not to be so hungry.
As I began to feel happier, stronger, and proud of myself when working out and attaining new fitness goals, that emotional despair went away.
Then something changed. I'm honestly not sure when my goals and perception shifted, but I think they did as I became happier. I had entered a relationship, I had more friends, and I just came into myself more. But I also realized that my body was my body, and I had a booty. I learned to like myself a hell of a lot and was so sick of feeling bad all the time. I wanted to become the best version of myself, not someone striving to fit a skinny ideal. I needed to find that missing link because it was a daily battle with my body and emotional well-being. I wanted to get stronger, not skinnier, and start embracing my body's natural figure.
I told myself that if I was going to have a bigger butt, I might as well make it a toned one! Up to this point, I had been working out on the elliptical only. I couldn't run long-distance, do sprints, or lift weights. I began to go to fitness classes where weights, battle ropes, monkey bars, and resistance bands were included, and I was horrible. I passed out the first time I had a personal training session. Embarrassing.
But I kept at it, and I ended up seeing some great progress. I never thought I'd like to see muscle in my arms or want to have a nice, round tush that was firm and visible. I slowly started to ditch the longer shirts and embraced my curves. They actually made me feel sexier - way sexier than when I was more "skinny fat" during my restricted-dieting years. Now, I'll go out in crop tops to show off the abs I've worked so hard for.
As I began to feel happier, stronger, and proud of myself when working out and attaining new fitness goals, that emotional despair went away. After each set of burpees or every additional squat or renegade row, I felt powerful and bold. I knew I was doing something good for my body, my mind, and my health: I was healing. I knew the difference between right and wrong thinking. Realizing that a stronger body, no matter how "skinny" it is (those who are naturally skinnier are just as beautiful!), is well-nourished and strong was spot on, and honestly, that newfound mindset saved me.
Now I love my body. I love it even when I'm PMSing and have gained five pounds of water weight. I love it after a huge meal when it's a little fatigued and full. I love it when it's pushing me through a HIIT circuit. I love it first thing in the morning and when I go to bed. I love it naked. I love how I feel in it. I learned to love it.
All people and figures are unique, and as long as you love yours and treat it well, that's all that matters. There is no "right" body to strive for.
Now I'm strong and healthy. I make a point of eating protein and veggies and indulging in my favorite cocktails, pizza, and fries. When I eat a protein bar before or after a workout, I feel awesome. I know I'm fueling my muscles and metabolism, whereas before, I'd nibble on a protein bar with food guilt. I got back to enjoying food of all types, listening to my body and feeding it when it was hungry, and falling more in love with my body every day. Picking up those weights for the first time was the greatest gift I could've given myself, and it's made me into the woman I am today.

My husband watches a lot of Chopped and Iron Chef. I think it's escapism for him because our kitchen is more like American Horror Story than Top Chef.
