We Asked an Expert If Intermittent Fasting Slows Down Your Metabolism - Here's What He Said
People often generalize and oversimplify metabolism, but it's actually an extremely complex process. As a quick refresher, metabolism relates to how your body produces energy from fat, protein, and sugar/carbohydrates and how it stores that energy. You've probably heard people say they have a slow or fast metabolism, but what they're actually referring to is their metabolic rate: how much energy/calories they burn in a day.
Strength training and eating more protein and healthy fats are expert-approved ways to improve (aka speed up) your metabolic rate. To find out if eating patterns such as intermittent fasting improve or slow down your metabolic rate, POPSUGAR spoke to Avigdor Arad, PhD, RDN, CDE, director of the Mount Sinai PhysioLab.

Hello, 20+ Dipping Sauces! Guy Fieri's Popular Chicken Restaurant Is Turning Into a Chain
Guy Fieri's Chicken Guy! Restaurant - exclamation point included - opened at Disney Springs in Orlando last Summer, and now nationwide expansion is on the horizon. According to a report from Restaurant Business, the second location is opening in Miami this Spring at Aventura Mall. "With our second location, we are on our way to open Chicken Guy locations across the country," Guy Fieri said. This is very good news for people who enjoy crispy, buttermilk-brined chicken tenders, fried pickles, and a whole lot of homemade dipping sauces to choose from.
I tried Chicken Guy! back when it first opened outside of Disney World, and the fast-casual concept from the mayor of Flavortown definitely impressed me. The chicken tenders are freshly breaded, the side of mac 'n' cheese with breadcrumbs is a real treat, and the sauces - the sauces! - take indecision to a whole new level, but in a good way. There are classics like honey mustard and buttermilk ranch, fresh takes like curry mayo, avocado crema, and garlic Parmesan aioli, and spicy ones like sriracha BBQ and Nashville hot honey. The options are "outta bounds," you could say.
Details about where exactly the additional locations will open have not yet been shared, but rest assured, a new, affordable chain with high-quality ingredients will make its way across the country. In the meantime, get a closer look at the menu ahead.

Starbucks Just Opened a 4-Story Location in Tokyo - BRB, Catching a Flight to Japan
Coffee aficionados, you'll want to book tickets to Japan soon because Starbucks is opening a Reserve Roastery in Tokyo, and it's HUGE - I'm talking Venti Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino with extra whip huge. On Feb. 28, the new installment of Starbucks's upscale Roastery concept will open its doors in the vibrant neighborhood of Nakameguro, exclusively offering 60 new coffee and tea drinks.
On the first floor, customers can experience Japan's first Princi Italian Bakery, which serves freshly baked breads and pizzas daily. If you travel up to the second floor, you can have a drink at the world's largest (28 feet!) Teavana Bar. Or, you can head up to the third floor to grab a tea-inspired drink at Arriviamo, the first cocktail bar at a Starbucks in Japan.
As the only Starbucks Roastery to be built from the ground up, the building was architecturally designed to encompass traditional Japanese style, taking inspiration from Japan's famous cherry blossom trees lining the Meguro River, the press release stated. The space also features a 55-foot-tall blush copper cask adorned with copper cherry blossoms, and the open floor plan is meant to immerse customers in the art of coffee-making. From the origami-inspired ceiling tiles to the glass walls and terraced floors, it's an aesthetically pleasing dream.
Another key feature of this enchanting Starbucks location is the AMU (meaning "to knit together" in Japanese) lounge on the fourth floor - an area for people to gather and discuss important topics. To demonstrate that, the Starbucks Tokyo location will host a discussion event in April to celebrate the role of women leaders in Japan. "We will offer the Tokyo Roastery as a gathering space to spark new ideas and create an impact," said Starbucks Japan CEO Takafumi Minaguchi.

Leaving Neverland: What to Know About Dancer and Alleged Michael Jackson Victim Wade Robson
HBO's controversial new documentary about Michael Jackson, Leaving Neverland, aired its first half on Sunday, and as expected, it's a devastating account from two men about the sexual abuse they allegedly suffered at the hands of the King of Pop as children.
The two men, James Safechuck and Wade Robson, are now adults, but both originally encountered Jackson as young boys through show business connections - Safechuck was filming a Pepsi commercial with Jackson, while Robson, who is Australian, won a dancing competition in Brisbane that came with a prize of concert tickets and a meet-and-greet. While Safechuck left Hollywood behind (he's now a married computer programmer living in Southern California and has two children), Robson has had a successful career as a choreographer for everyone from Britney Spears (whom he also dated) to *NSYNC.
For more than a decade, Jackson shielded his reputation from allegations of child molestation by using testimony of boys like Robson, who - along with his mother and sister - went on TV in the '90s to defend the singer, saying that Jackson had only ever been friendly to him, and that nothing inappropriate had ever occurred. A then-22-year-old Robson testified at Jackson's trial in 2005 when the icon faced more charges, taking the stand again to say that their bond was completely innocent. But now, the dancer and choreographer refuses to stay silent.
"The idea of this truth coming out and [my wife] Amanda knowing about it and my family knowing about it and everyone in the entertainment business and my career knowing about it, I mean, was just a ridiculous idea that was never going to happen because, in my mind, my whole life would be over," Robson explains in the documentary.
It wasn't until Robson became a father to a little boy in 2010 that he began allowing himself to see his childhood in a new light, and he decided to come forward with allegations against the star.
I'm Curious, What's Ben Affleck Whispering to Charlie Hunnam at the Triple Frontier Premiere?
It was a true joy to see our internet boyfriends assembled together, showing off their best smolder for the premiere of Triple Frontier on March 3 in NYC. Ben Affleck, Charlie Hunnam, Oscar Isaac, Garret Hedlund, and Pedro Pascal reunited on the red carpet to promote their action flick, which hits Netflix on March 13. They couldn't help joking around and whispering as they posed for photos - maybe they were reminiscing on their shirtless shoots in Hawaii? Those days are certainly tough for us to forget.
See some of the best snaps from the night below, and catch up on the Triple Frontier trailers before the movie drops next week.
It's Winter, but Selena Gomez's Sexy New Song Has Us Feeling Like We're Stuck in a Heat Wave
It only takes one listen to "I Can't Get Enough" for it to get stuck in your head, but it's totally worth it. The sultry single, released on Feb. 28, is the musical brainchild of Selena Gomez, J Balvin, and record producers Benny Blanco and Tainy. It's also the second song the 26-year-old singer has been featured on since she left rehab back in November 2018 after completing treatment for her "ongoing emotional issues."
It's safe to say that "I Can't Get Enough" is a very different vibe from Gomez's work with Julia Michaels on "Anxiety." While that song was about anxiety's effect on one's emotional well-being, "I Can't Get Enough" is a little less personal and a lot sexier. The track is a steamy urban-electronic bop in which Gomez and J Balvin croon about lovers who just want more of one another and want to do nothing more than turn up the heat. "I like that, you like that, so let's be crazy / the contact, impact, I want that daily," Gomez sings on a beat that somehow perfectly manages to convey sensuality.
J Balvin sings entirely in Spanish, but even if you don't speak the language, you know what he's saying. The whole song invokes memories of late-night house parties in overcrowded basements where the lack of air conditioner makes everyone sticky from being pressed together. But with a jam like "I Can't Get Enough" playing, no one cares! If it weren't the height of Winter, I would already name this the Summer bop of 2019. Listen to the song above and check out the announcement posts by the artists ahead.

Tell Me Something, Droid . . . Are You Ready For a Star Wars "Shallow" Parody?
A Star Wars Is Born . . . How did I not see this coming? The Star Wars and A Star Is Born universes finally collided to pay tribute to two fan-favorite ships in a Nerdist parody music video. If Ally and Jackson were transported to a galaxy far, far, away, perhaps their version of "Shallow" would've ended up a little like Kylo Ren and Rey's.
This music video came shortly after the wrap of Episode IX, and it definitely reignited some of my own excitement about the next installment. While I'm 99.9 percent positive we won't get a song quite like this when the film premieres on Dec. 20, it sure is fun to imagine.
Dirty John's Second Season Will Feature an All-New Cast and Storyline
A previous version of this story reported that Dirty John would return for a second season on Netflix. Netflix has since released a statement denying those reports. This story has been updated accordingly.
Dirty John is officially getting a second season, but with a twist. The nail-biting dating horror story was acted out by Connie Britton and Eric Bana, and the next iteration will focus on an all-new cast and storyline.
Warning: spoilers for season one ahead!
If you've seen the first season, then you know Dirty John retold the events discussed in the popular true crime podcast of the same name. It details the manipulative and abusive relationship between successful interior designer Debra Newell (Britton) and a deceitful doctor named John Meehan (Bana).
The season ends with John being killed in an act of self-defense by Debra's daughter, Terra, and seeing as there's not much true crime left to the story, it makes sense that Bravo is taking things in a different direction for season two. In addition to a second installment, Oxygen Media has also ordered a companion docuseries that will investigate the real-life "Dirty John," according to Deadline.
Justin Timberlake Basically Wrote Jessica Biel a Love Letter For Her Birthday, and I'm Weeping
Justin Timberlake is leading the party parade on Jessica Biel's birthday. On March 3, the "Man of the Woods" singer penned a touching message to his wife on Instagram to celebrate her 37th year. Careful, it might make you tear up.
"My partner in this thang called life... you are the most wonderful human I have ever met," Justin wrote, captioning a gallery of photos. "You make me smile, laugh, and love life more than I knew I could. I cherish every moment with you and can't wait to spend so many more years doing the same... but, new. Happy Birthday, you GOD OF ALL SMOKE SHOWS!! Love, Your Huz"
Aw! Find us someone who writes love letters like that. After six years of marriage, and the birth of their son Silas in 2015, it's clear Justin and Jessica share an extra special (and extra cute) bond.
The Bachelor: Everything You Want to Know About Cassie's Younger Sister, Michelle
The Bachelor's Cassie Randolph has been making waves as a season 23 front-runner ever since she stepped out of the limo on night one, igniting a spark of undeniable chemistry with Colton Underwood. We get an even better idea of the California beach babe's background during the hometown date episode when she and Colton travel to Huntington Beach to (attempt to, in Colton's case) surf and hang with Cassie's family. During their visit, we're introduced to Cassie's parents and two siblings, Michelle and Landon.
If you're like me, you may have done a double take while watching Michelle give Cassie advice about Colton - and not just because the sisters look a lot alike. I immediately recognized her as actor Gregg Sulkin's girlfriend, and a quick Instagram deep dive revealed that there's a lot more to know about the 21-year-old. Keep reading for some fun facts about Cassie's younger sis, who just might be shaping up to be Colton's sister-in-law.
Bill Hader Shames John Mulaney For Forgetting Names in This SNL Skit, and I Feel Exposed
When both John Mulaney and Bill Hader show up for Saturday Night Live, you know hilarity is going to ensue. The minds behind SNL's legendary character Stefon reunited on March 2 to play "What's That Name?"
The fake game show starts off pretty simple; everyone knows Chrissy Teigen's name, right? But once the contestants (Mulaney and Cecily Strong) are tasked with remembering the name of their best friend's girlfriend or their wife's bridesmaid, the stakes get higher. I guess the excuse "I'm just not good with names" doesn't cut it here. Watch the full sketch above to see Hader go all-in as a host hellbent on creating chaos. If you feel seen you're not alone - I feel a strong urge to brush up on the names of my acquaintances.
Captain Marvel Isn't Even Close to the Longest Marvel Movie - Here's the Runtime
Let's be honest - the moment when Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) paged Captain Marvel in the Avengers: Infinity War post-credits scene, we would have signed up for another three hours in our itchy theater seats just to get an inkling of what would follow that devastating ending. Well, it looks like Captain Marvel won't be as long as we might have expected.
The upcoming Marvel movie clocks in at two hours and four minutes - still an investment in time, but definitely on the shorter side as superhero blockbusters go. AMC Theaters had previously listed the film as two hours and 10 minutes long, but later changed it to be six minutes shorter. If Marvel sticks with this length, the movie will be the same duration as Captain America: The First Avenger. It's a few minutes shorter than the most recent Marvel movies - Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Guardians of the Galaxy 2 have all hit on or past the two-hour-and-10-minute mark. And luckily, it's definitely no Infinity War, which is a whopping two hours and 36 minutes long.
Just over two hours seems like ample time to give Carol Danvers a proper debut as Marvel's first superheroine in a solo film and showcase a stacked cast that features Brie Larson, Jude Law, Annette Bening, and Samuel L. Jackson. But of course, only time will tell when we're all hugging our popcorn tubs on March 8. In any case, you'll be able to go to the bathroom about half an hour sooner than you did for Infinity War or hop online in less time to post your juiciest fan theories. Don't expect the same brevity for Avengers: Endgame, though. The final Avengers movie is rumored to be three hours long, so, if you'll excuse us, we'll just be packing a survival kit to prep for its viewing.
You Won't Believe How Long Princess Anne Has Lived in the Same Estate
You probably already know that the royal family calls some pretty insane pads home, but where exactly does the hardest working royal return to in between her travels? The queen's only daughter, Princess Anne, clocked in up to 455 appearances at charity events, dinners, receptions, and other engagements throughout the UK in 2018 (as well as another 85 events overseas)‚ so it's hard to imagine she has any time to relax. Though the Princess Royal does maintain a London residence at St. James's Palace, she and her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, spend most of their time at Gatcombe Park, their private country home in Gloucestershire.
Gatcombe is located in the heart of the Cotswolds between the villages of Minchinhampton and Avening, just a few miles away from Highgrove, the home her brother Prince Charles shares with Camilla in nearby Tetbury. The home was originally built for local clothier Edward Sheppard (who inherited the property from his brother, Samuel Sheppard) and was completed in 1774. Though the manor has changed hands many times over the years, very little has been altered in the home since the 1820s, when economist David Ricardo renovated and added to the home with the help of architect George Basevi. His additions included a conservatory, single-story wings that flank the home, and the Doric porch, as well as the polygonal stables and coach house.
In 1976, Queen Elizabeth bought the property as a wedding present for her daughter and her first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, and the couple raised their two children, Peter and Zara, on the estate. Captain Phillips moved to the nearby Aston Farms after his 1992 divorce from Princess Anne, but she and her second husband, Sir Lawrence, have continued to live in and maintain the historic estate together.
As well as an estate, the 730-acre property contains a farmhouse, cottages, a lake, and an enormous stable, complete with horses and cattle. The working farm is also home to the Festival of British Eventing, which take place in the grounds every August, as Anne and her daughter, Zara, both have a passion for equestrian events. Prince Charles may be better known as an advocate of organic farming, but Anne has been described as "the most rural of royals" when it comes to the maintenance of her own farm.
Though Anne's children have created families of their own, Gatcombe has only gained more residents instead of losing them. Zara moved to Gatcombe with her rugby player husband Mike Tindall in 2013 after selling their Cheltenham estate (and soon before giving birth to their children, Mia and Lena), and Zara's brother Peter, his wife Autumn, and their two daughters, Savannah and Isla, also call Gatcombe home.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that a plan was in the works to build a two-story extension on the grounds, complete with a larger kitchen, new bathroom, and additional bedroom. One thing is for certain: no matter who moves in or out, the Princess Royal isn't leaving the estate anytime soon.
Think the Jonas Brothers' "Sucker" Music Video Is Fun? You'll Love Their BTS Shenanigans
The Jonas Brothers gave everyone a sweet gift on March 2 when they dropped their new song, "Sucker," along with a music video. Their reunion made practically every person who was a Disney fan a decade ago rejoice - not just because they were back together, but because the new tune is actually amazing. It only took me three listens to learn basically all the words (that's the Jonas Brothers effect for ya).
Over the past few days, Nick, Joe, and Kevin have been sharing some of the most hilarious behind-the-scenes snippets from their shoot. Their partners, Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Turer, and Danielle Jonas - who are beautifully featured in the music video - have also given fans a sneak peek into their on-set fun. Between speaking in fake British accents at tea parties and slapping cheese on each other's faces, it looks like everyone had a blast while filming. Take a look at all their off-camera jests ahead!
Watch All the Times Jimmy Fallon Nailed It With Classroom Instruments
Along Jimmy Fallon's road to the top, he's given us a lot to smile about - not the least of which are these classroom-instrument song renditions. Ever since he brought Carly Rae Jepsen on Late Night to sing "Call Me Maybe" with colorful xylophones and The Roots, it's become an ongoing act. He's even continued it on The Tonight Show, most recently with "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" and Anna Kendrick. Let's take a walk down memory lane and look back at his best videos.
Jennifer Lopez Had These Words of Encouragement For a "Nervous" Bradley Cooper at the Oscars
Bradley Cooper didn't just give valuable Oscars advice this year, he received it too! The A Star Is Born actor might've had a little stage fright ahead of his now-legendary performance with Lady Gaga. Luckily, Jennifer Lopez was sitting nearby for a quick pep talk, 30 seconds before he started singing. "He seemed a little nervous," J Lo shared on boyfriend Alex Rodriguez's Instagram live on Sunday night. "I just whispered, I said, 'The song is so beautiful. When they hear the first few notes, they're going to start applauding. So don't worry. Just deliver the song.' He was like, 'I got it, I got it, okay.'"
Well, her advice was effective! While Bradley previously called performing at the Oscars "some kind of death wish," he and Gaga went on to deliver a dazzling "Shallow" duet that left fans blushing - and J Lo loved it, too! "An amazingly beautiful intimate performance," she said, praising the duet. "To have a front-row seat to that was so special." Fun fact: J Lo and Bradley were rumored to have dated following her split from Marc Anthony in 2011.
Kate Middleton's Daily Life Is Way More Normal Than You Think
It seems like the Duchess of Cambridge's life is constantly in the headlines. From her style choices to her relationship with the rest of the royal family to her public appearances, she's always in the public eye. Even so, Kate and Prince William reportedly work hard to make sure that at least some aspects of their family's life remain normal - and you might be surprised how normal her day-to-day life actually is!
In some ways, the duchess's daily routine is full of constant reminders that her life will never be truly "normal" again. In a Vanity Fair article, it's clear that some of the details of her life are minor but stressful.
"She is said to find the constant clothes changes (up to five a day if the itinerary includes shooting, tea, and a formal dinner) and the omnipresence of a full household staff rather stressful," the article said. Although this was reported back in the early days of Kate's marriage, and she has surely grown accustomed to these requirements by this point, no amount of habit can make constant clothing changes and rarely being alone pleasant. It is still true that the Cambridge household maintains a full staff and that the duchess's obligations often require multiple outfits for a single day, since the dress code is different for dropping off Prince George at school, visiting a charity, and attending a formal event.
Vanity Fair also reported on the casual nature of the early days of William and Kate's marriage, as the queen reportedly gave them a two-year period of lower obligations so they could settle into married life. The article said:
Daily life involves Kate doing the shopping at the local supermarket . . . The only clue to her royal status as she pushes her cart down the aisles is the protection officers who follow her at a discreet distance. Both William and Kate like to keep fit, and as well as running on the nearby shingle beach, Kate walks [their dog] Lupo three times a day. In the evenings she indulges her hobby of cooking Williams' favorite supper, roast chicken. They are reported to own a sausage-maker, and she has started making homemade pots of fruit jam . . . The couple occasionally ventures to the local pub [but] mostly they stay in watching DVDs.
Even after the "honeymoon period" ended, Kate has managed to keep a balance in her day-to-day life that still allows her and her family to enjoy some normalcy. For instance, Business Insider revealed that Kate often starts her day like many mothers of young children: by dropping off her kids at school. Prince George and Princess Charlotte attend two different schools, and the duchess has frequently been spotted both at drop-off and pickup time.
Another "normal" part of the future queen's daily routine? Working out! The Daily Mail quoted a royal insider who revealed that the whole Middleton family is very fitness-oriented, and Kate is no exception.
"Kate is an exercise junkie. Pippa and Kate take their toned physiques extremely seriously. And mother Carole, in her 60s, is in extremely good shape," the insider claimed. The duchess is reportedly also a fan of CrossFit and yoga, makes time to go for a run most days, enjoys cycling, and does all her workouts without a personal trainer!
As a "working royal" or "full-time" royal, the duchess spends much of her time working with the various charities she is affiliated with. Her daily routine is likely to include some sort of work with these causes, whether it's working out logistics at an office or making a public appearance on location or at a meeting. Just like many working mothers, she balances her job with the demands of her family life - and always looks amazing doing it!
I Can't Be the Only One Who Hit the Floor After Seeing John Mulaney Dressed as a Creepy Killer
John Mulaney had a pretty epic night as Saturday Night Live's host on March 3. Not only was he a part of a hilariously gross musical and did he show off his dance moves, but he also played a super creepy wannabe killer named Ferguson. In the sketch, his target is SNL fan favorite Chad (Pete Davidson), who - as some might already know - is a man of few words and probably even fewer thoughts. But apparently, Ferguson is on a mission to seek revenge against Chad for something he did in the past and goes all Saw horror movie on him. The only problem? Chad literally doesn't comprehend what's going on. Above, watch Ferguson attempt to terrorize his unbothered prey, and prepare to cackle at Mulaney's ridiculous hairstyle.
Princess Diana Was Beloved By Hollywood - Here Are 7 of Her Most Famous Friends
There's no denying that Diana, Princess of Wales, was one of the most glamorous members of the royal family ever seen. Both during her marriage and after her divorce from Prince Charles, the princess was a fixture at high-profile events and reached beyond the typical royal constraints to participate in popular culture more and more.
Because of her willingness to socialize outside the aristocracy, Diana had a squad of friends that included some of the biggest names in music, film, and fashion. While their relationships weren't always smooth sailing, her circle was always stylish and up for a good time. Take a look at stories from some of her closest friends in the gallery below!

This Pissed-Off Cat Tissue Dispenser Is Like If Your Moody Grandpa Offered You His Hanky
Cat person or not, there's something irresistible about buying products that depict cats with a serious attitude problem. Maybe it's the heaviness of the eyes that just get us!
The latest feline must have has got to be this Neboku The Cat Is Eating Tissue Paper ($25), which is essentially a fuzzy and fluffy cat cover for your tissue box. There are elastic bands on the underside that affix to an ordinary tissue box, and then you pull the tissue out of the cat's mouth. I don't know about you, but when I think about blowing my nose, I definitely want this grumpy grandpa cat involved in some capacity.

Gigi and Bella Hadid Pulled the Ultimate Sister Move in Paris by Wearing Coordinating Outfits
Gigi and Bella Hadid showed up to the Louis Vuitton party in Paris on March 1 wearing complementary outfits, because stylish minds think alike. The sisters flaunted their own fashion choices in unique ways but matched where it counts: with their bold statement gloves.
While Gigi opted for a white jumpsuit from Off-White's Fall 2019 collection, Bella chose a patent trench coat, which gave off a similar silhouette to her sister's look when cinched at the waist. Gigi paired her sporty ensemble with sneakers and a bold red lip, while Bella added some Parisian flair with pointed black color-blocked boots and a neckerchief. The highlight of both their outfits had to be the black gloves they wore - slightly different, but equally dramatic. Read on to see more snaps of their looks.
Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard Released a Baby Line at Walmart, and OMG, It’s All So Cute
Is there anything that Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard can't do?! The power couple's daughters, 4-year-old Delta and 5-year-old Lincoln, may be out of diapers, but that doesn't mean that the parents haven't been thinking about the struggles of the diapering and baby stages for the past half a decade, which is why they created Hello Bello, a baby care brand sold exclusively at Walmart that features affordable (and adorable!) plant-based products.
"I wanted [the products] to be absolutely everything that I would want to use on my baby, but at a price point that everyone could afford," Kristen Bell, who says she's a bottle "label-reader" and likes to know what's in the things she's buying, shared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show (where the couple also spoke about having "the talk" with Lincoln). The couple spent two years conceptualizing the line and bringing it to life, and both say they're very proud of how it all turned out, especially when it comes to the diapers, which Kristen says are "very, very absorbent." She added: "I'm not saying we've tried it, but I'm not saying we haven't tried it." Classic Kristen and Dax . . .
From diapers and lotions to washes and wipes, Kristen and Dax thought of everything you need to keep your baby clean and happy at a great price - most items are under $8! Check out some of the line's products ahead - especially those cute diaper patterns! - as well as their hilarious promotional videos for the line.

Jennifer Garner Went All Out With Her Son’s Birthday Theme, and OMG, We’re Loving Her Enthusiasm
We know what it looks like to half-ass something. Whether it's a last-minute Halloween costume or a barely-thrown-together dinner party, we can spot poor execution from a mile away - heck, we're practically professionals at phoning it in. Which is precisely why, after spotting Jennifer Garner's latest picture on Instagram, we know she went balls-to-the-wall when it came to throwing her son Samuel's seventh birthday.
In a head-to-toe costume of Astrid from How to Train Your Dragon, complete with faux fur neckline and some sort of waist armor, the proud mama brought out her son's Toothless birthday cake with an enormous smile on her face. Her son's reaction? Well, according to her caption, she totally embarrassed him, writing: "Well, guess what. It turns out 7 is the age my kid stops thinking it's cool when I dress up for the party. #youngestchild #firsteyeroll🙄 #anyoneneedanAstrid"
We applaud her efforts, nonetheless. Looks like she put tons of planning into this, and eye rolls are part of the job!

This Haunting of Hill House Star Breastfeeds on Set For 1 Unique Reason
Kate Siegel - aka Theodora Crain in The Haunting of Hill House - apparently takes her mom duties pretty dang seriously. She recently opened up about how she breastfeeds her 2-year-old daughter Cody on set, and believe it or not, she says it actually helps with her day job.
"We feed every three hours," the 36-year-old actress told Us Weekly at the Film Independent Spirit Awards on February 23. "It's good at creating perspective. When you start to get frustrated with work or if you feel like you're not doing a good job, you've got the grounding force, your family there. And you can't spend a lot of time staring at your own bellybutton, you know?" She added that: "So for me, it gives me the freedom to play. It gets me out of my head, and it makes me a more capable actress, I hope."
Hey, it seems like all that breastfeeding is paying off big time! We can't wait for season 2!
