Bachelor Nation Has a Lot of Strong Opinions About Cassie's Huge Decision on The Bachelor

Warning: spoilers for the latest episode of The Bachelor ahead!

Another episode of The Bachelor has taken us on a roller coaster of emotions, and Colton Underwood finally jumped the freaking fence. On the downside, we had to watch him get his heart broken to get to that point.

While the March 4 episode brings us one episode closer to the finale, it also had the most shocking upset of the season so far - the voluntary exit of season 23's front runner, Cassie Randolph. Though Colton and Cassie initially have a super-romantic date in Portugal, it all goes tragically wrong after he confesses to her that her father refused to give his blessing during that incredibly awkward hometown date in Huntington Beach, CA. Cassie's family was visibly unimpressed with Colton from the get-go, but her father seemed particularly agitated by Colton professing his love to three other women and their families.

Colton relays the interaction to Cassie, and she is visibly taken aback. Despite Colton telling her it doesn't bother him because it doesn't change the way that he feels about her (not actually the point though, Colton!), Cassie can't quite seem to shake the knowledge that her father hasn't given them his blessing. The red flag that's been figuratively waving ever so gently in the background starts causing severe gale winds and warning sirens go off. And then, the Bachelor producers pull their dark magic and drop the mother of all emotional bombs. Or should I say, the father? (I don't even regret that one.)

That's right, Cassie's dad shows up in Portgual to have another chat with his daughter. He reiterates his concerns that neither Cassie nor Colton is ready and gives Cassie that final push she needs to make her decision to leave. Cue the pre-Fantasy Suite date where Colton pours his heart out to a visibly pained Cassie. While he tells her that he is falling in love with her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her, Cassie questions how her father's disapproval doesn't seem to bother Colton as much as she expected it to. Cassie admits that her father's words have affected her a great deal more. She reveals that her father came to visit her with echoes of his earlier concerns and that it's made her unsure.

The next 20-something minutes are especially painful to watch, as Colton essentially begs Cassie to stay with him rather than go back home. He flat-out tells her that she is the only one he wants to be with and repeatedly tells her that they can forget the engagement. He just wants to be with her! (This is all the stuff romantic movies are made of . . . Hugh Grant could never!) Even though Colton is essentially solving the problem Cassie and her father put before him, Cassie still struggles with the entire situation. From the outside looking in, it seems like Cassie doesn't want to admit that she simply doesn't know if she wants to be with Colton at all. In the end, it doesn't matter; Cassie tells Colton goodbye and leaves in a black van (and Colton jumps the fence). Though that may not be the last time we see her . . .

Of course, Bachelor Nation couldn't stay silent during such a dramatic exit! Opinions were pretty unanimous in thinking that the entire situation was tragic from beginning to end, though a lot of people were left wondering exactly how this leaves us for the two-night finale airing on March 11 and 12. Check out some of the most relatable reactions ahead, and get ready for the "Women Tell All" special, airing Tuesday, March 5!

Pacino, De Niro, and Pesci All in 1 Film? The Irishman Cast Is Truly Legendary

If you thought Netflix couldn't possibly boast any more star-studded films than it already has, the cast of The Irishman is going to blow your mind. Based on Charles Brandt's true-crime novel I Heard You Paint Houses, this Martin Scorsese film revolves around the scandalous life of Frank "The Irishman" Sheeran, a mob hitman who was known for his supposed involvement in labor union leader Jimmy Hoffa's death. The film has been in development for nearly a decade, and during the 2019 Oscars, Netflix dropped a teaser trailer announcing that the highly anticipated crime drama is finally debuting this Fall. Read on to see all the legendary actors Scorsese managed to recruit for his latest flick (including many of his favorite collaborators).

Prince Harry Met a Newborn Baby, and We Can't Stop Smiling at His Adorable Reaction

Prince Harry might not be a dad just yet, but the baby fever is real. Back in October 2018, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they are expecting their first child together, and Harry hasn't been shy about his excitement for the arrival of the new royal. During a recent visit to the Scar Free Foundation Center for Conflict Wound Research at the Institute of Translational Medicine at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, Harry was distracted by an adorable newborn baby and swooped in to say hello.

During his visit at the hospital, Harry walked over to baby James Chalmer, rubbing his back and fawning over him with a dreamy look in his eyes. Honestly, who wouldn't like a little attention from a royal? Well, James seemed more confused than anything and stayed curled up in his mother's arms - at least Harry got in some quality time with the little one as practice before he actually becomes a dad. Meanwhile, Meghan recently celebrated the upcoming arrival of their first baby with a star-studded baby shower in NYC.

After proving he's already a pro at cracking dad jokes and squeezing in some last-minute parenting practice, we can only imagine how big Harry's smile will be when the royal baby finally arrives. Now prepare to "aw" as you scroll through pictures of Harry smiling at babies.

Gemma Chan Wore the Pants Version of Taylor Swift's Oscars Afterparty Dress, and OMG

Look, there are certain gals who can just pull off any red carpet look with ease. Even the incredibly intricate runway looks you see, these women can wear confidently. Gemma Chan - whom you might know from Crazy Rich Asians or the Oscars red carpet, where she stuffed her dress with cookies - is one of those people. Working with stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Gemma slipped into a Ralph & Russo flowy top and iridescent fringed pants for the Captain Marvel premiere alongside Brie Larson, who stunned in Rodarte.

We had instant flashbacks to the Oscars afterparty, where Taylor Swift wore a similar look from the same Ralph & Russo runway, albeit the minidress version. Gemma carried off these wild, shimmering pants with grace, shaking them for the cameras when necessary to reveal her luminous Christian Louboutin pumps. Keep reading to see how Gemma accessorized with delicate Repossi jewels (she didn't need much else!), and catch a glimpse of her exact outfit on the catwalk.

Anna Wintour's Met Gala Looks Can Be Described in 3 Words: Chic, Classic, and Chanel

Everyone who's anyone knows this to be true: Anna Wintour is the Met Gala - everyone else is simply attending it. The 69-year-old fashionista may be better known as the longtime editor in chief of Vogue, but she is also the face of the most exclusive and extravagant fashion event of the year, which she became cochair of in 1999. The theme may change every year, but when it comes to her own look, Wintour sticks to the adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," as you can always depend on her to hit the red carpet in simple, subdued Chanel couture (and with her trademark bob, of course). Check out the gallery for all of the Met Gala VIP's looks over the past 16 years.

Kate Middleton Puts Her Best Foot Forward in a Modest Midi and Cream Heels

The British royal family stepped out for a celebration of Prince Charles's investiture on Tuesday, and both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle stayed true to their personal style with their very appropriate outfit choices. While Meghan chose an intricate knee-length brocade dress and a white coat, Kate chose a longer, midi hemline, opting for a mint green dress reportedly by her private dressmaker, with a modest high neckline, long bishop sleeves, and dozens of tiny covered buttons.

She finished the look with cream suede pumps and a brocade box clutch in the same pale hues as her dress. A pair of aquamarine drop earrings added the final touch. Take a closer look at the whole outfit ahead.

The Chanel Bags Are in the Shape of Ski Gondolas, and I'm Freaking Out

If Cara Delevingne's strong lead on the Chanel runway and Penélope Cruz's modeling debut were not enough to impress you, feast your eyes on the last round of accessories Karl Lagerfeld designed for the fashion house. In most cases, Karl's bags, shoes, and jewelry follow the theme of the season, which, in this case, is a Winter wonderland. While Chanel seems to be suggesting that clutches are the bag silhouette of the season, Karl also crafted incredibly delicate minaudières in the shape of ski gondolas, complete with a signature logo embellishment.

If you love the wintry weather, there are plenty of pearl earrings and brooches - even statement necklaces! - shaped like snowflakes, and the chain-link-lined or grommet-studded bandanas will satisfy the edgier set, or those still very much into the Western trend, who may want to top off their look with one of Karl's tweed cowboy hats. Finally, the shearling boots and clean white wedges mean that chunky, functional footwear is cool again - especially with Karl's personal stamp.

Shay Mitchell's Bikinigram Just Reminded Me That I'm Overdue For a Beach Vacation

While some of us are still searching for warmth at the end of a brutal Winter, Shay Mitchell recently stepped out for some fun in the sun in Mexico. On March 4, the Pretty Little Liars alum took to Instagram to share a photo of herself having the time of her life while floating down a lazy river in a bikini, and honestly, the only thing the pic reminded me is how badly I'm in need of a vacation. Seriously, the FOMO is especially real right now.

During her getaway, Shay wore a black bandeau bikini top and high-waisted black bottoms that she accessorized with a pair of sunglasses - because nothing screams vacation like the perfect pair of shades. Read ahead for another look at the bikini and to shop similar styles.

Chanel Models Stepped Out in the Snow For Karl Lagerfeld's Final Show

The Grand Palais in Paris was transformed into a snowy Winter wonderland for the Chanel Fall/Winter 2019 show, which was also the final time we'd see the work of Karl Lagerfeld hit the runway. The legendary designer, who passed away in February, was honored with a minute's silence, and guests were gifted an illustration of the designer standing next to Coco Chanel, accompanied by the words "the beat goes on."

Karl's Chanel swansong was designed with Virginie Viard, who is his successor at the label. Staged in a mock Swiss village, surrounded by snow, Chanel-branded skis, and all manner of wintry details, it featured all the hallmarks you'd expect of a classic Chanel show. There were monochrome tweed suits with wide-leg pants, cozy ski jackets with embellishment, marabou-trimmed cocktail dresses, dramatic capes, and Winter knits with beaded motifs. Penélope Cruz, in a fluffy skirt and ruffled top, carried a white rose down the runway, while Cara Delevingne led a poignant finale, giving peace signs to the cameras. Keep reading for a look at some of the best moments, then check out the accessories.

Confused About Camp? Here's What This Year's Met Gala Theme Actually Means

Image Source: Getty / Neilson Barnard

The 2019 Met Gala, fashion's biggest night of the year, will be ostentatious, flamboyant, and everything else the theme demands. It is camp, after all. The theme is "Camp: Notes on Fashion," based on Susan Sontag's 1964 essay "Notes on 'Camp.'" And on a night that already promises to deliver the most incredible fashion you could wish for, we have high hopes for what we might see.

It's about going over the top just enough to make a statement but not so over the top that you've jumped into the kitschy category.

So what is camp, really? In Sontag's essay, she provides 58 definitions for camp. Among them is "The hallmark of Camp is the spirit of extravagance. Camp is a woman walking around in a dress made of three million feathers." And for a gala and collection that's underwritten by Gucci, a fashion house that has built its success in recent years on being over the top yet cool, camp makes complete sense.

Alessandro Michele, Gucci's creative director and one of the cochairs of the 2019 Met Gala, told Vogue that Sontag's essay "perfectly expresses what camp truly means to me: the unique ability of combining high art and pop culture."

While at the helm of Gucci, Michele has sent models down the runway carrying mannequin heads and toed the line of androgyny with his menswear and womenswear, all hallmarks of the over-the-top nature of camp itself. And Gucci's resident poster boy Harry Styles is fittingly also cochairing the Met Gala. The musician is well-known for not just wearing Gucci's flashy suits with sparkles and bell bottoms but all other sorts of prints and ruffles.

Image Source: Getty / Ethan Miller / WireImage

Andrew Bolton, the curator in charge of the Costume Institute, told Vogue that camp "has become increasingly more mainstream in its pluralities - political camp, queer camp, Pop camp, the conflation of high and low, the idea that there is no such thing as originality." Camp can possibly be traced back to the French term se camper, which means to pose exaggeratedly.

It evolved into taking on a meaning of being effeminate, when noted cross-dresser Frederick Park wrote a letter and referred to his "campish undertakings." Camp grew to become the "love of the unnatural," Sontag wrote in the Partisan Review, and now it encompasses everything flashy, ironic, and cool - but not cheesy or kitschy.

Bolton pointed out to The New York Times that "Camp really means the unique ability of combining high art and pop culture," rather than something frivolous that can be ignored. It all boils down to one word for Bolton: surplus. It's about going over the top just enough to make a statement but not so over the top that you've jumped into the kitschy category.

We think this could translate into oversize flared pants (like Styles frequently wore on tour last year), sequins and sparkles from head to toe (like Lady Gaga, another of the event's cochairs, has been known to wear), or even a complete look with each piece labeled, à la Off-White by Virgil Abloh. After all, another of Sontag's definitions of camp is: "Camp sees everything in quotation marks. It's not a lamp, but a 'lamp'; not a woman, but a 'woman.'"

We'll have to wait until May 6 to see what the cochairs (Vogue Editor in Chief Anna Wintour, Michele, Styles, Lady Gaga, and tennis star Serena Williams) and the rest of the guests will wear. We can bet that at least a fair few will follow the theme and do camp its flashy and flamboyant due diligence.

If Kim Kardashian Wearing a Leopard-Print Bodysuit and Gloves Isn't Pure Dedication, IDK What Is

It looks like there aren't many things Kim Kardashian is afraid of wearing. While I often wonder if I stand out too much when I wear my leopard-print coat, Kim's thought process was the complete opposite, because she wanted to stand out as much as she could in her head-to-toe leopard-print outfit. The starlet was spotted out in the wild (pun very much intended) wearing a figure-hugging Azzedine Alaïa bodysuit and coat that came in the bold print. As if that wasn't enough, Kim took her love for the animal print two steps further with a pair of matching gloves and combat boots. How Travel Channel's Kellee Edwards Is Inspiring Black Girls to Love the Great Outdoors

Several minutes into her speech at the 2019 Los Angeles Travel and Adventure Show, Kellee Edwards, the host of Travel Channel's Mysterious Islands (and the first black woman to lead a show on the network), has encountered a small issue: she's the sole black woman scheduled to speak at the two-day conference, and her presentation about what it means to connect with communities while traveling isn't working the way it should - but much like every other aspect of her life, she's prepared to take control of the situation with authority, fearlessness, and a smile.

Born on Chicago's South Side, Edwards is used to succeeding in environments that would be a challenge for others. A licensed pilot, certified scuba diver, and seasoned mountain climber, calling Edwards the future of adventure travel would be an understatement. Her journey is a significant accomplishment given the overwhelmingly white male industry she has been called to pursue, but her success - which has been nearly a decade in the making - is by no means an accident. Edwards's love for exploration began the first time she saw mountains on a Greyhound bus trip from Chicago to California. Her mother Leonetta had just gotten married and they were moving to San Bernardino, a city east of Los Angeles. An only child, Edwards was just 8 years old when her new stepfather, Donald, introduced her to the great outdoors, teaching her how to surf and taking her on camping trips.

"For me, coming from the South Side of Chicago and living in San Bernardino, those things were not normal in my African-American community," Edwards said of those early days, when she spent hours collecting rocks and falling in love with nature while also participating in sports like track and basketball. "I never let it make me feel like I was any less cool because I liked those things. Growing up as an only child, you have to play alone and entertain yourself. That translated into adulthood and I took it to a new level."

Once in college, Edwards majored in broadcast journalism, then went on to pursue a career in entertainment and sports journalism, but soon grew bored of quizzing celebrities about the content of their handbags. As she began to think seriously about what she loved and what she was passionate about, her attention turned to travel and the outdoors. Eager to start her career as a travel journalist, Edwards began booking trips to create travel videos, originally operating as a crew of one by taking her tripod with her on treks through Istanbul and Bangkok. It was 2010 when she began recording and editing the videos for her brand, Kellee Set Go, but she knew if she wanted to advance, Travel Channel had to be her next stop. A longtime fan of Travel Channel staples like Andrew Zimmern and Samantha Brown, it wasn't until Edwards saw a short-lived series starring an African-American man that her desire to pursue travel as a profession seemed attainable. "I remember seeing Dhani Jones, a black former NFL player, host a show called Dhani Tackles the Globe. It was amazing, and it showed that it was possible for us to get there."

Years before she got in front of the right people at The Travel Channel, Edwards understood the value of finding a travel niche. She noticed that diving was missing from the network's coverage of travel, and saw that as an opportunity to appeal to them.

"The ocean makes up 80 percent of the Earth, so when you go somewhere, that should be explored," Edwards said of her initial interest in diving. She got her scuba diving certification, despite her dive master's weariness about her ability to finish the course and her own fears of open water. "I didn't have as much swimming experience as the other students and I didn't grow up with a pool in my backyard," Edwards said, though neither factor deterred her from earning her certification. Edwards remembers that the class began with around 20 students, and by the end, she was one of seven that remained. It wasn't long after obtaining her scuba diving certification that Edwards was called to her next big challenge: learning how to fly a plane.

"I was sitting at Burbank Airport and I saw this little plane, landing and taking off, and at the time, I didn't know it was doing what was called a 'touch-and-go,'" Edwards recalled. Realizing that aviation could be her next move, she began researching the steps needed to learn how to operate a small plane. "I thought that to be a pilot, you had to go to the military. I didn't know that you could sign up to take flight lessons."

Her search lead her to a discovery flight that cost just $100, and though the first flight made her sick, the feeling of knowing that she could fly herself wherever she wanted to go became intoxicating. She signed up for aviation lessons and was the only female student in her class. The first plane she learned how to fly in was ill-equipped to accommodate her petite 5' 3" fame, though a pillow and a phonebook provided her the lift she needed to fly.

Certified to expertly navigate the air and dive in the ocean, conquering land was an obvious next step for Edwards. "As a woman and as a black person, in order to get into these spaces, we have to be overqualified," Edwards said, looking back on the steps she took to get the Travel Channel's attention. "It is a sad truth but it doesn't bother me personally because I know I'm capable." She soon summited Oregon's Mount Hood as the only woman in her group, but by this time, she had grown used to environments where no one looked liked her. "I'm always in all these spaces, and that look of curiosity is insane. Once you see a young black woman doing the things that I'm doing, you can't help but to be curious about it and want to know more," Edwards said.

"As a woman and as a black person, in order to get into these spaces, we have to be overqualified."

Curiosity worked in her favor when it came time to meet with the Travel Channel. Mysterious Islands premiered in 2017, and in the series, Edwards lets her curiosity lead the way as she journeys through the most remote destinations in the world, but she recognizes that she had to go beyond what many of her network counterparts have had to achieve to be considered for a show. "I felt like I had to go do the most extreme things in travel, and do all of them," Edwards said. "Just being a pilot wasn't going to be enough. Just being an outdoors woman wasn't going to be enough. I knew I had to be a quadruple threat. I had to do it all and I had to know how to be on camera. I know the Travel Channel respects my skills."

Edwards takes her position as an influential black woman in the travel and adventure space just as seriously as she took the scuba and aviation lessons that got her to where she is today. Her mission now is to use her platform to serve as what she describes as "an advocate of change" in an industry that has been slow to be inclusive of black travelers. African Americans spent $63 billion on travel in the US last year according to a study by Mandala Research, yet, as Edwards points out, "The travel industry continues to push a narrative, and they're just as guilty as these other companies because they paint a picture that only affluent white people travel, and that's not true. Everyone is finding a way to explore this world because it belongs to all of us."

One lesson that Edwards has learned in her still-early career is that nothing worth achieving should be left to chance. Travel bloggers with her influence can command top dollar for sponsorships, yet she has chosen to limit her partnerships to avoid diluting her brand. Even her pixie hair cut, now a signature look, was chosen so that she could easily maintain her hair during her adventures. Another lesson is that nothing great comes from playing it safe. "Being normal is boring," Edwards said, serving as a testament to what is possible when one embraces the interests that differentiate them from the masses. "By being mediocre, you're doing yourself a disservice. I'd rather push myself so hard, that even if I can't do it, I know that I tried." For a woman like Edwards, the scariest thing on earth is the idea of settling.

I Swear John Mulaney Did This SNL Skit Because He Really Wanted to Dance the Cha Cha Slide

You probably know that John Mulaney is hilarious, but you might not be aware that he's actually got some pretty good dance moves. On March 3, he showed off his skills on Saturday Night Live during the "Cha Cha Slide" skit. In the segment, Mulaney plays a software engineer attending the wedding of his girlfriend's cousin. Although he appears nervous about being at the event, he seems pretty comfortable on the dance floor when everyone starts doing the Cha Cha Slide with Kenan Thompson as the DJ. Not only does he have a mean salsa sway, but he impressively hits Beyoncé's signature move from the "Single Ladies" video. Watch him move and groove in the clip above!

Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant Try SO Hard to Get Through This SNL Sketch Without Laughing

Sometimes, the funniest moments in Saturday Night Live sketches happen when the cast members are clearly trying not to break character. That's exactly what transpired on the March 3 episode when Kate McKinnon and Aidy Bryant stopped by the Weekend Update segment to play the owners of a fictional meat company called Smokery Farms. They explained how their business decided to take a different approach to marketing their products since many people feel bad for eating animals. "You do not need to feel guilty with us," Aidy said. "Because going forward, Smokery Farm will only serve meat from animals that are individually stupid and bad."

Kate and Aidy were then given a plate full of raw meat as they explained why each animal deserved its fate (i.e., some of the lambs wouldn't stop body-shaming the goats). But the stench of an uncooked meat platter proved to be too much for them to handle as they slowly began to unravel on screen. Watch them attempt to use every bit of strength to keep from laughing - and possibly puking - in the clip above!

Game of Thrones: Season 8's Huge Battle Took SO Much Work, We Have No Doubt It's Going to Be Epic

The seventh season of Game of Thrones finished back in August 2017 and it feels like we've been waiting forever for the final season to premiere. Now that we finally (FINALLY!) have an official confirmation of the premiere date, it means it's time to panic. April 14 is right around the corner, but we have a lot to prepare for, especially since this season will have the show's biggest battle sequence to date.

"This final face-off between the Army of the Dead and the army of the living is completely unprecedented and relentless and a mixture of genres even within the battle," co-executive producer Bryan Cogman told Entertainment Weekly. "David and Dan [wrote] an amazing puzzle and [episode director Miguel Sapochnik] came in and took it apart and put it together again. It's been exhausting but I think it will blow everybody away."

That definitely sounds worth waiting for, to be quite honest. Sapochnik, who directed the Emmy-winning episode "Battle of the Bastards," will direct the great battle of Winterfell in which we see the tenuous alliance between the North and South go against the Night King and his army. EW revealed that the episode is expected to be the longest consecutive battle sequence ever committed to film, and will assemble the largest number of GoT's major characters together since the series' first episode in 2011. And even though it was an exciting venture, a few members of the "20-some" cast reveals that it was also one of the most exhausting they've ever embarked on.

"Nothing can prepare you for how physically draining it is. It's night after night, and again and again, and it just doesn't stop," Maisie Williams admitted. "You can't get sick, and you have to look out for yourself because there's so much to do that nobody else can do . . . there are moments you're just broken as a human and just want to cry."

Williams's words echo the sentiment from Kit Harington's interview for GQ Australia's January 2019 cover story. "The last season of Thrones seemed to be designed to break us," he candidly admitted. "Everyone was broken at the end. I don't know if we were crying because we were sad it was ending or if we were crying because it was so f*cking tiring."

Other action veterans on the show agree. Iain Glen, who plays Ser Jorah Mormont, referred to the nearly three months of shooting as the "most unpleasant experience I've had on Thrones." The Hound actor Rory McCann added, "Everybody prays they never have to do this again."

It's enough to make you wonder how insane this battle truly will be, in the grand scheme of things. The answer is: seriously insane. Apparently, while preparing for the shoot, Sapochnik searched for a longer battle sequence in cinema history and the closest he could find was the nearly 40-minute Helm's Deep siege in The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. He even studied that battle to research when audiences get "battle fatigue" from all the repetitive action. "One thing I found is the less action - the less fighting - you can have in a sequence, the better," the British director divulged.

Back in December 2018, Vladimír Furdík, the actor behind the famously diabolical Night King, revealed that the epic battle will actually be going down in episode three of season eight. For those who may not recall, the final season will consist of six feature-film-length episodes, which means the battle will happen smack-dab in the middle of the season.

"In the third episode of the last season, there is a battle that the creators intended to be a historic moment in television," Furdík revealed at a fan convention in Hungary, as translated by Mashable. "Almost the full episode will be about the battle, it will take about one hour."

For a reference point, this is the battle where the armies of Westeros go against the Army of the Dead. We're talking giants, dragons, soldiers from the North and South coming together to become one unified battalion and defeat the biggest bad that ever did bad - who also has a dragon on his side, of course. We're talking about a battle sequence that famously took 55 days just to shoot outdoors, which doesn't even count the time they spent filming in the studio.

Usually the big battles take place later in the season, so the end is much more dramatic, like season six's "Battle of the Bastards." So hearing that this one is going to take place as early as the third episode is surprising. It totally changes our idea of how the season will pan out!

If the battle takes up the whole of episode three, what can we expect from the remaining three episodes? That must mean that the remainder of the season deals with the fallout of the battle, namely what happens when the victor emerges. Though with a war like this, "victor" might be an overstatement. It's more like, how will whoever is left alive deal with the wreckage that remains? Will there even still be a Westeros left? Will this be what permanently stops "the wheel?" There are so many questions, and we have no idea what to expect! April can't come soon enough.

Watched Dating Around and Demand an Update on Each Couple? Well, Don't Get Too Excited

Since hitting Netflix on Valentine's Day, Dating Around has offered a captivating, oftentimes cringeworthy, and, yes, voyeuristic look at what it's like to date in New York City. The first season of the reality series - shot with the streaming platform's typical glossy aesthetic - saw six singles of varying ages, backgrounds, and sexual orientations going on five blind dates. Things got real interesting, real fast.

If you happened to speed through the season, chances are you're curious about where each main cast member landed after picking the suitor they would like to continue dating - of course, with the exception of Gurki, who didn't pick anyone. Fortunately, Netflix gathered them all (Luke, Gurki, Lex, Leonard, Sarah, and Mila) for a round-table discussion about what they each learned about dating after doing it so publicly.

In watching the clip, we learned that Lex and Cory fizzled out following their second date, and the same goes for Luke and Victoria. Luke said, "We went on another date after that, and spent some time together, but it kind of followed along with this typical New York dating, where it just fizzles out." There seems to be no hard feelings there, however, as much of the cast recently reunited and Victoria shared a picture saying she was now Team Betty, who also vied for a second date with Luke.

Sarah hasn't shared many updates since picking Matt for a second date, but in an interview with Vulture, Gurki said Sarah and Matt are "still talking," but much like Luke and Victoria, the two aren't "necessarily full-on dating."

Despite having a "hot date" after being chosen by Mila, Charlotte said they didn't continue dating and she currently has a girlfriend. As for fan-favorite Leonard, he didn't touch on his potential romance with Dianna, although the show's official Twitter account said they may still be dating.

This all brings us to Gurki: despite having a few pleasant dates - and one really, really bad one - she ultimately didn't choose to go on a second date with anyone, presumably because she's still working through some feelings about her divorce. "It was very therapeutic," she said. "I didn't realize I was still holding onto a lot of shame from being divorced and all this sh*t that I dealt with."

The Key to Losing Weight Isn't Diet or How Much Time You Spend in the Gym, It's NEAT

While losing weight is more about nutrition than exercise (anyone ever tell you "you can't out-exercise a bad diet?"), activity definitely plays a role in burning fat and changing your body composition. But when most people think about activity for weight loss, they assume they need to spend hours in the gym or sign up for the most intense cycling class. In reality, there's other activity that can help you lose weight - and it's so easy to do.

Eric Bowling, a NASM-certified personal trainer at Ultimate Performance who helps clients lose weight, emphasizes the need to incorporate nonexercise activity thermogenesis, or NEAT, into any weight-loss program. "NEAT is a huge part of the weight-loss puzzle that many people overlook," he told POPSUGAR. "Your hour in the gym will only contribute so much to your daily energy expenditure; it's what you do in the other 23 hours of your day that have a much bigger impact on your overall energy expenditure."

If you're trying to lose weight and still aren't seeing the scale budge, you could be missing NEAT. Eric breaks down what exactly NEAT is, how it can help you lose weight, and how it incorporate it into your daily life.

What Is Nonexercise Activity Thermogenesis?

Nonexercise activity thermogenesis is a fancy term that sounds intense, but the principle behind it is simple: NEAT refers to any activity that you do throughout the day outside of formal exercise and sleeping. "NEAT includes any daily activity outside of the gym, from walking the dog or carrying the groceries home, to gardening or playing with your children," Eric explained.

For people who live mostly sedentary lives where you drive to work, sit at a desk for eight or so hours a day, drive home, then spend the evening on the couch watching TV, your energy expenditure is bound to be pretty low, which can lead to weight gain. "The difference in energy expenditure between someone who is active all day and someone who is sedentary can run into hundreds and hundreds of calories," Eric said. "Some estimates put the variation as high as 2,000 calories."

However, if you make the effort to walk to work or park your car further away, walk your dog when you get home, busy yourself with chores, or play with your kids, you are much more likely to have a higher energy expenditure, and therefore a higher calorie burn.

How Can NEAT Help You Lose Weight?

Losing weight tends to be overcomplicated with discussions about metabolism, food, fitness, and other lifestyle factors. And while they all play a role in whether or not you lose weight, in reality it's simple: an energy balance. To lose weight, you must expend more energy than you take in. Another way of looking at it is burning more calories than you take in.

"You can put yourself into a negative energy balance by either reducing the amount of calories you are consuming or increasing your activity levels, or a combination of both," Eric explained. "Boosting your daily activity levels with NEAT can play a huge role in helping you lose weight and maintain your weight loss."

Although how your body expends energy depends on a variety of factors, including height, weight, and sex, and the kind of activity you do (standing will burn more calories than sitting, and walking for three miles per hour will burn more calories than just standing). "The difference in energy expenditure between someone who is active all day and someone who is sedentary can run into hundreds and hundreds of calories," Eric said. "One of the many benefits of NEAT is that you will be less reliant on calorie restriction to lose weight."

How Much NEAT Should You Aim For in a Day?

One of the easiest ways to increase your NEAT throughout the day is getting in more steps. Track with a pedometer, FitBit, Apple Watch, or a free app on your smartphone. Eric said to aim for 10,000 to 12,000 steps a day for weight loss. If you're just starting out, aim for 6,000 steps a day and work your way up to more.

Eric said if you work in an active occupation such as personal training, construction, or hospitality, you are probably getting enough NEAT during your workday. But for everyone else, getting in extra steps could be a matter of parking your car further away from your destination or getting off a couple stops before your public transit stop. You can also start your day with a quick bodyweight circuit or go for a walk after dinner. Other activities, such as raking leaves, vacuuming, playing tag with your kids, or going bowling, all count.

Other Benefits of NEAT

Sure, upping your NEAT can help you lose weight, but there are other health benefits. If you're sore from weightlifting or a standard gym session, walking will help increase blood flow to sore muscles and relieve discomfort, Eric explained. Plus, getting out and walking can help relieve stress and clear your head, especially during particularly hectic days. Save your favorite podcast or phone calls to a friend for your longer walks to make them more enjoyable.

Getting in extra steps is the easiest way to up your NEAT, but think about how to be active in other areas of your life: use a standing desk, meet friends for a hike, play table tennis, or try some DIY projects. Every little bit counts!

This Crossover Diet Is the Healthy, Low-Carb Plan You've Been Looking For

With its emphasis on fresh produce, lean protein, whole grains, and healthy fats, the Mediterranean diet consistently ranks as one of the healthiest diets out there. And while not inherently low-carb, the Mediterraean diet can fit into a low-carb framework if you know how to go about it. To get the details, POPSUGAR spoke with experts Brynn McDowell, RD, and Jessica Cording, MS, RD, CDN, INHC. You'll be shocked at how simple a low-carb Mediterranean diet can be.

"In general, the Mediterranean diet focuses on adding healthy foods to your diet instead of eliminating certain food groups," Brynn said. A traditional Mediterranean diet prioritizes "fresh fruits, whole grains, legumes, and dairy - all of which are considered carbohydrates," she explained. Still, she feels that "the Mediterranean diet can be adapted to fit a low-carbohydrate diet."

Jessica agreed, adding, "While it may take some extra planning, it can be done. It really just depends on how low-carb you intend to go. For example, if your goal is 100 grams of carbs per day (or about 400 calories), that actually gives you a good amount of leeway. You just need to prioritize which carbs you most want to include to feel satisfied."

If you are watching your carb intake but still want to follow a Mediterranean approach, Brynn suggests filling your plate with lots of vegetables, fish, lean proteins, and heart-healthy fats like olive oil, seeds, nuts, and avocado. "These foods still fall within the principles of the Mediterranean diet but are also considered low-carb. You can round this out with moderate portions of fresh fruit, legumes, and dairy."

Jessica also recommends getting plenty of variety to "make sure you're covering all of your nutritional bases." She places particular importance on fiber. "On a low-carb diet, in particular, you want to make sure you're getting enough fiber from foods like nuts and nonstarchy vegetables. You can also include smaller amounts of whole grains, berries, and legumes to hit the recommended 25 to 35 daily grams of fiber."

Initially, you may want to track your carb intake and portion out your meals to be sure you are hitting your macronutrient goals. With a little practice, though, you should be able to eyeball it.

Is It OK to Run in the Cold? 2 Experts Say Winter Running Gives You a "Physiological Boost"

Running in the Winter can be, for lack of a better word, cold. And, well, intimidating. Let's get one thing straight first: you shouldn't be pounding pavement outside if the wind chill is below negative 18 degrees Fahrenheit, or within reason. Think about it: a storm advisory is a good indication that you should stay indoors. But, when it's just a regular Winter day that makes you want to book your next tropical vacation, lacing up your running shoes isn't the worst idea. In fact, it's good for training, according to some experts we spoke to.

Roberto Mandje, head of training at New York Road Runners and former Olympic runner, told POPSUGAR, "One thing that I tell a lot of the runners I work with, whether they're training for our TCS New York City Marathon or even some of our virtual races, is you want to head out in the conditions regardless of what they are, obviously within reason and keeping safety a priority, because it's going to improve your training."

Mandje explained, "It's going to give you the physiological boost of training in those conditions, but also the psychological boost of saying, 'I'm tough, I made it out in these conditions,' and that's going to translate to later on in the year when you start to do races in ideal conditions" because you've trained in worse before. If you're competing in a Winter race and the weather is far from ideal, "Well, you're acclimatized to it," Mandje said. And, he added, someone who only ran indoors would be at risk of becoming "shell shocked."

Alexis Colvin, MD, an orthopedic surgeon from Mount Sinai specializing in sports medicine, told POPSUGAR she seconds that claim. "I think with any training you don't always want to do the same thing over and over again, and in the Winter it's easy to get into this rut of going on the treadmill or just going to the gym, which may be fine depending on what your goals are. But, if you actually want to improve, you need to challenge yourself. One way to do that is to vary the terrain as well as the temperature and the environmental conditions."

In addition, exposing yourself to cold during workouts can help you burn more energy, states The Journal of Clinical Investigation, and therefore more calories. Before we leave you to your training, it's important to note that if you have heart problems or exercise-induced asthma, which can be triggered by cold temperatures, you should take extra precautions during the Winter. Anyone running outdoors this time of year needs to replenish with fluids and stay mindful of preventative measures like layering up and listening to your body, Dr. Colvin said. Find more tips for Winter running here. Be cautious, but don't let temperatures fit for Queen Elsa stop you from getting in that mileage.
