My Boyfriend and I Almost Broke Up Over Household Chores - Here's How We Finally Made It Work
When my boyfriend and I first moved in together, I made it clear that I was not some magical cleaning fairy that would wash the dishes and vacuum the carpet whenever dirt would appear. We were now sharing the same space, and I expected both of us to pull our weight and our chores to be split evenly and fairly. But not long after we settled into our place, I found myself constantly following him around, picking up the dirty clothing he carelessly dropped on the floor. That quickly turned into me resenting my partner, shrugging off his affectionate advances, and grumbling under my breath constantly.
My boyfriend isn't insensitive to other people's needs, but now that I'm a bit calmer after the dust (pun intended) has settled, I can admit that there were definitely things I did wrong, too. I left water on the bathroom floor when I got out of the shower, which drove him nuts and to which I'd respond, "You care about that, but you can't pick your dirty clothes up?" Eventually we both realized we had habits that needed to change if this was going to work.
The reason some people seem helpless when it comes to housework isn't because they consciously believe their partner will do it. Subconsciously, once habits have been ingrained, many people often just don't "see" what needs to be done. There's even some evidence that messiness is in our DNA! I was raised in a home where clutter was an absolute no-no. However, I had a bathroom to myself when I was younger and almost never had to answer for my splashy showers since the water had often dried up before my mom ever saw it (the mold was a different story).
But back to our new apartment. If there was one thing that got us through this difficult period, it was compromise. We calmly and reasonably discussed how we both worked the same eight hours each day, therefore, we should divide the housework more evenly. We attempted splitting the chores up 50/50. My boyfriend readily agreed to the responsibility of running the recycling to the sorting center twice weekly, vacuuming the carpets, sweeping off the front and back porches, and - yes - picking clothes up off the floor.
I handled the daily counter wipe downs, mopping two to three times per week, and cleaning the bathrooms weekly. We also agreed upon hanging a white board on the kitchen refrigerator with a list of housework we wanted done, as well as by when, and I must admit, having the sign right there in front of us every time we reached into the fridge for a soda helped a lot.
Another big piece of advice I have for new couples moving in together is to consider downsizing your home and belongings. Having less space to clean makes it that much easier to tackle, and having less stuff to pack, unpack, and dust off is a huge win during this new and often stressful time period.
We bonded and opened up a lot to each other during this time period as well. He let me know that my penchant for perfection made him feel incompetent, and my constant "my way or the highway" mentality made him feel like no attempts to please me were ever good enough. It was equally important that I work on changing myself as well. I had to let go of the comfort I had established while living in my own element for so long. During this trial-and-error period, I learned what mattered to him in a clean home, as he did with me. I also had to learn to show appreciation for what he did do, instead of constantly focusing on what had yet to be done. He did the same.
You learn to pick your battles, because, let's face it, learning to live with another person isn't easy. Ever. However, living together as a couple is a lot different than living with a roommate. There's a vested interest on both ends to make it work, which is a positive. But a potential negative is that there's also a comfort with a partner that will probably be a bit different than what you had with your roommate in college. It's easier to jump to anger and say things you don't mean with someone you're more comfortable with. Understanding this was the first step to fixing our daily interactions at home.
Those who find themselves in a similar situation may want to try the following:
- Focus on positive praise, not negative criticisms.
- Communicate openly about what's needed from your partner.
- Address feelings of resentment immediately - bottling up feelings leads to contempt, which murders love.
- Learn to let the little things go - as in, prioritize.
Is my relationship with my boyfriend now perfect? Of course not. No relationship is. But have my boyfriend and I mastered the art of compromise? I think so. Every relationship involves both give and take, and spending less than five minutes weekly wiping up the bathroom floor is a bit of labor I don't find at all burdensome if it means not finding his shirts all over the bedroom floor. Communication and appreciation kept our relationship alive during this transitional time, and our bond is now stronger than ever.

The Absolute Best Way to Cook Zucchini Noodles
Congrats! You've successfully made zoodles in a spiralizer. Now, onto the important question: how do you actually cook them? Unlike pasta, you fortunately don't need to wait around for a pot of water to boil. Instead, you treat the veggie "noodles" as vegetables you'd normally sauté on the stovetop.
The best way to cook a batch of zoodles is to heat one or two tablespoons of oil, such as olive oil or coconut oil, in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the noodles with a generous pinch of salt and a little pepper. After about five minutes, the zoodles will be slightly softened but not mushy, which is what you're after. They'll be similar to the al dente texture of traditional pasta.
And that's it! You can turn off the heat and turn your zucchini noodles into a full meal catered to your preference. You could add homemade bolognese sauce, basil pesto and parmesan cheese, lemon butter shrimp and red pepper flakes, or even more of your favorite satueed veggies to the mix. After trying out this healthy alternative to carb-heavy pasta a few times, you might convince yourself you like it almost as much as the real thing.
Ready to get cooking? Here are some more zucchini noodle recipes to get you started.

5 Big Reasons Caelynn Will (Very Likely) Be the Next Bachelorette
The minute The Bachelor's episodes begin to dwindle and we near the finale, we start wondering who the next Bachelorette is going to be. It could be just about anyone - even a woman who didn't even compete on Colton Underwood's season! You never know which direction the producers are going to go in, but if those producers happen to be reading this, here is a not-so-discreet nudge to choose Caelynn Miller-Keyes. We might not have to nudge that hard, however, because all signs point to the beauty queen sliding into the leading lady role on The Bachelorette. She became a front runner not just for Colton but also Bachelor Nation early on, and we're rooting for her now more than ever - here's why we think it's inevitable.
She was a part of the drama but didn't give in to it.
Early on in the season, we learned that Caelynn and another contestant, Hannah Brown, knew each other before filming - and let's just say that they were far from friends. However, she carried herself well, didn't raise her voice, and kept her cool, even with the tension and chatter at the mansion.
She's not afraid to open up.
It takes a whole lot of bravery to reveal something so personal, as Caelynn did, on national television. Bachelor Nation applauded her when she opened up about how she was sexually assaulted in college. This strong woman can relate to other people and give us a Bachelorette to look up to.
She seems to have the producers on her side.
Call it a true depiction or just good editing, but from watching the season and "Women Tell All" episode, it's apparent that Caelynn is getting the hero cut. There were plenty of chances for her to look "bad," between the Hannah B. feud and women questioning her intentions, but Caelynn always seemed to come out on top. It's almost like production went the extra step to make sure she was seen a certain way, even in unfavorable situations.
She believes in the process.
Caelynn fell in love with Colton and was totally blindsided when he sent her home. She knows that the process can work, so we hope that she can open her heart again if she becomes the next Bachelorette.
She has a lot of support coming her way.
Let's be honest: we love the Bachelor franchise and would probably watch just about anyone who takes the leading role. However, having fans on your side is always a good thing, and many people have connected with Caelynn's warm, sweet demeanor.

Exclusive: Cole Sprouse Gets a Birthday Surprise in This Adorable Clip From Five Feet Apart
If you needed any further proof that Cole Sprouse and Haley Lu Richardson are going to tear your heart to shreds with their emotional new romance, Five Feet Apart, then consider this exclusive clip from the film all the evidence you need.
Five Feet Apart is directed by Jane the Virgin's Justin Baldoni and revolves around 17-year-old Stella (Support the Girls's Richardson), who's stuck living in a hospital due to her cystic fibrosis diagnosis. It's a boring existence of routines and boundaries until she meets Will (Riverdale's Sprouse), a charming fellow CF patient. Even though sparks start flying between them, the pair have to keep a safe distance between them because of their illnesses, which only makes their Romeo and Juliet-esque romance all the more intense.
In our exclusive clip above, Stella surprises Will with an epic top-secret birthday dinner with all of his closest friends, which gives the pair yet another reason to keep on fighting for what they have together. Watch it above before the tearjerker hits theaters on March 15!
The Bachelor: Hannah G.'s Chances For a Fantasy Suite Date Aren't Looking Good, Ya'll
Colton Underwood remained a virgin after a Fantasy Suite date with Tayshia, with whom he wasn't ready to take that step, and a half-ish Fantasy Suite date with Cassie that caused him to jump a fence. Maybe third time's a charm! But we wouldn't hold our breath on that. It seems nearly impossible that Colton would move forward in The Bachelor process. Here's what we know about that lingering date with Hannah Godwin.
Being on a dating show that moves so quickly requires contestants to be honest, no matter how painful it might be. We learned that during his overnight date with Tayshia, upon which Colton couldn't help but think about his relationships with Cassie Randolph and Hannah G. However, when he got that coveted one-on-one time with Cassie, it went south quickly. But Colton admitted that he loved her and she was "the one," so how could he possibly go on that final Fantasy Suite date with another woman?
Keep in mind that at this point in the season, Hannah G. is completely in the dark. She has no idea about the heartbreak that unfolded on Colton and Cassie's date, and she probably still thinks that she'll have private overnight time with the possible man of her dreams. Ignorance is indeed bliss for her . . . for now.
In the previews for the two-night finale, we see that Hannah G. is in Portugal, where the dates are taking place, and she's planning to put it all out there and tell Colton that she loves him. However, in another scene, we see that she's in tears. We could speculate all day what could have led her to that point, but we're guessing that this possible spoiler might have something to do with it.
While we can't say without a doubt, we find it hard to believe that anyone would move forward with an overnight date given the circumstances. But any lingering questions are bound to be answered during the two-night live finale!
Here's the Reason Elyse Dehlbom Wasn't at The Bachelor: The Women Tell All
Elyse Dehlbom was a fan favorite on Colton Underwood's Bachelor season, winning us over after her sweet one-on-one date with the former football player. We were bummed but understanding when Elyse decided to leave the show - but most of us probably thought we'd at least see the makeup artist again at the "Women Tell All" special. So, why wasn't Elyse at the "Women Tell All" taping? It turns out she had a pretty good reason for missing the show.
Elyse explained on Instagram that while she would have loved to be part of the special, she had a longstanding prior commitment the night it was filmed: Elyse was at a wedding that unfortunately overlapped with the "Women Tell All" taping. But the former Bachelor contestant did take a moment to share some insight into her experience on the show.
A post shared by Elyse Dehlbom (@elysemichelle_mua) on Mar 5, 2019 at 8:12am PST
"Women Tell All airs tonight! I would have loved to reconnect with the cast, @coltonunderwood and the incredible @bachelorabc team… But I was too busy getting slapped in the face by the potential for my own happily ever after," Elyse wrote on Instagram. She shared a video of herself catching the bouquet at her friends' nuptials, and it did literally hit her in the face.
In her Instagram Story, Elyse also shared that she learned what she's looking for and who she wants to be from her time on the show.
"I learned more about myself and what I want from a partner in weeks on this show than I have in quite some time," Elyse wrote. "It afforded me the opportunity to take a long look in the mirror and see what I needed to work on, to be the type of person my future partner deserves."
Even though Elyse and Colton didn't fall in love, it sounds like she had a great time getting to know him and the other contestants. And for fans who were disappointed she wasn't on stage alongside the other ladies on Monday night, well, there's always a chance she'll show up on Bachelor in Paradise this Summer.
Luke Perry's Daughter Shares Touching Message After His Death: "I Am Grateful For All the Love"
On March 5, Luke Perry's daughter Sophie opened up for the first time following her father's untimely death. The actor's 18-year-old daughter from his marriage with ex-wife Minnie Sharp expressed gratitude for all the support and kindness her family has received in the last 24 hours, through an Instagram post published Tuesday.
"A lot has happened in this past week for me. Everything is happening so fast. I made it back from Malawi just in time to be here with my family, And in the past 24 hours I have received an overwhelming amount of love and support," she wrote. "I cannot individually respond to the hundreds of beautiful and heartfelt messages, but I see them, and appreciate you all for sending positivity to my family and I."
"I'm not really sure what to say or do in this situation, it's something you aren't ever given a lesson on how to handle, especially when it's all happening in the public eye," Sophie continued. "So bare with me and know that I am grateful for all the love. Just, being grateful quietly."
According to a statement released on Monday, Sophie and her 21-year-old brother, Jack, were by Luke's side when he died, along with "his fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends."
Here's Why Will Smith's Casting as Tennis Patriarch Richard Williams Is So Disappointing
In a time where the media is celebrated for creating a wealth of diverse movies and TV shows, rightfully reprimanded for willful blunders, and reminded that there's still so much further to go to create more authentic representations onscreen, there are some situations where you have to wonder if anyone is actually getting it. Such is the case after Deadline reported that Will Smith is "poised" to play Richard Williams in King Richard, an upcoming biopic on the father and tennis coach of Venus and Serena Williams.
The film itself is based on a script by Zach Baylin and will center on Williams overcoming hardship, skepticism, controversy, and his own troubled past to teach his daughters to play tennis. He began instructing them when they were 4 years old on the tennis courts of Compton, CA, despite not having a background in the sport himself. As we all know, both Venus and Serena have gone on to become legendary tennis champions, winning 14 Grand Slam doubles championships together, along with all their individual wins. The film has all the makings of being truly amazing - aside from the fact that the first choice for a lead looks nothing like the focus of their film. The difference between Smith, a light-skinned black man, and Williams, a dark-skinned black man, is blatantly obvious and has drawn a wave of backlash from sports and film fans alike.
Many of the critics calling foul on the casting have cited colorism as being the leading factor for Smith's involvement in the film. The reasoning echoes the controversies surrounding multiple films over the last few years, including the casting of Zoe Saldana as Nina Simone in the 2016 film Nina, Dwayne Johnson's casting as folk hero John Henry in the upcoming Netflix film John Henry and the Statesmen, and Amandla Stenberg's role in 2018's The Hate U Give.
There are many people who won't (or refuse to) understand why this is a problem, and might ask what difference it makes, since Smith is a black man, just like Williams. First, to non-black people who make this argument: it's important to remember that those who aren't within a marginalized racial or ethnic group are not arbitrators of what is or isn't acceptable to members of said group. Second, it's also important to remember that representation matters. In a world where it's hard for black actors to get roles - especially leading roles - it's even harder when they're dark-skinned. Black Panther is one of the few films where we have nearly an entire cast of dark-skinned actors, and that came out in 2018!
Recently, black actors have been more candid and upfront about colorism in Hollywood and how it plays into the roles they are offered. The ongoing conversation proves that, regardless of whether Smith wants the role or not, there's no reason to take the opportunity from a dark-skinned actor - of which there are plenty for choose from! There isn't even the excuse that casting Smith ensures the film will get more money or more attention, because that's been proven wrong in the past. It comes across as tokenism to give the lead role to the most famous black actor currently relevant, with no thoughts to whether it lends to the film's credibility.
In a time where we as a society are pushing for more diverse stories to be told, we're also pushing for authenticity. Yes, Smith and Williams are both black men, but the difference in their skin tones plays a factor in how they're treated in society. So much of the Williams family's trials and tribulations center around their blackness and how people treated them because of it. If someone is going to tell the story of the family patriarch, finding a talented actor who has his skin tone is truly the least they can do. Williams has gone through life as a dark-skinned black man and, as the comments regarding the casting indicate ahead, deserves to be depicted in his own story as such.
Here's What We Know About the Mysterious New Character on Game of Thrones
As we enter the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, there are fewer and fewer new characters being introduced. The previously massive cast has been whittled back over the years, thanks to the show's notoriously shocking deaths, and the upcoming final epic battle will focus on the major characters whose stories are finally coming to an end. Nevertheless, there's at least one new character set to appear in the final season, and he could potentially tip the balance of power to determine the fate of Westeros and who will sit on the Iron Throne.
In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, Harry Strickland is the leader of the Golden Company, an army of mercenaries for hire who was first mentioned at the end of the seventh season. Euron Greyjoy, one of the last remaining powerful allies to Cersei Lannister and her cause, set out to Essos to summon the Golden Company to increase the numbers in the Lannister ranks before the upcoming battles against the White Walkers and, presumably, against the combined forces of the Targaryens and Starks.
Way back in 2017, Vanity Fair confirmed that German actor Marc Rissmann had been cast as Strickland. The news came as a surprise to fans of the novels, since Strickland is described as a middle-aged, portly, balding man and Rissmann is, well, none of the above. Rissmann is already a vet of epic TV series: he's costarred on The Last Kingdom, Into the Badlands, and The Man in the High Castle.
Strickland is not seen clearly in the full-length trailer for the final season, but there's a moment in the trailer that appears to be of the Golden Company: a ship's deck packed with soldiers in formal, perfectly aligned formations, with a single figure - whose back is to the camera - standing above them, apparently their leader. In the background, the ship's flag can be seen bearing the kraken sigil of House Greyjoy, which all but confirms that the soldiers seen on board are, in fact, the Golden Company, brought to Westeros by Euron Greyjoy.
Although they're brought into the final battle by Greyjoy to fight on the side of the Lannisters, there's a possibility that they'll turn the tables. In the novels, it's clarified that the Golden Company was founded by Blackfyres - that is, semilegitimized Targaryen bastards. Strickland himself is a Blackfyre, meaning he shares a distant family connection with the Targaryens, who he's been hired to fight against. If their television counterparts share that backstory, is it possible that Strickland and his men will switch sides and swear loyalty to their long-ago related house? Only time will tell, and it won't be long now before we have the answers: the final season of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO and its related streaming services on April 14.
Colton Finally Jumped That Freakin' Fence on The Bachelor, So We Can All Die Happy
Well, it finally happened, Bachelor Nation: Colton Underwood jumped that freakin' fence on The Bachelor. As expected, the whole situation was pretty dramatic. Let's dive in (or should I say jump in), shall we?
Spoilers for The Bachelor ahead!
Chris Harrison has been teasing one of "the most dramatic moments in Bachelor history" ever since Colton's season premiered in early January. Thanks to a video preview featuring footage from throughout his time as the reality show's leading man, which was released on the night of season 23's premiere, we've known that at some point near the end of the season, the 27-year-old former NFL player would make a break for it. During the March 4 episode, we got to see it all go down.
Given the high-pressure environment of the show, we can't blame Colton for his heightened emotions (and hypersensitivity) in this episode, which saw him needing to make a big decision about the final three women left in the competition following their hometown dates and his elimination of Caelynn in the previous episode. Things were even more complicated considering the fathers of all of Colton's contestants were openly skeptical of his motives in the last episode, which had Colton feeling confused about front-runner Cassie Randolph. All of this made for one seriously potent combination of drama, confessions of love, and a fence vault that would make any dog at Westminster proud.
After a surprise visit from her father in her hotel room, Cassie felt more confused than ever about her feelings for Colton. Although he tried to help her see more clearly, all her father really did was muddy the waters for Cassie, which we know since she repeats "I don't know" about 6 trillion times over the course of the episode. But by the end of their visit, which was just before she was supposed to go on her overnight date with Colton, she came to a decision, telling the camera, "I have to send myself home tonight."
Meanwhile, Colton was busy telling the camera, "Cassie is the one. . . . My heart is complete when I'm with Cassie." So, uh, yeah - once Cassie arrived at his villa, things got very cringey, very fast.
"He talked to me about how I was feeling, and how big this whole thing is," Cassie explains of her dad's visit, as Colton looks on, shell-shocked. "He told me about my mom and him and their kind of love, and how he never had any kind of doubts about it. She never had any doubts about it, either. I don't know, I just . . . I would hate to see you leave here without what you came here for."
Colton, realizing he was about to lose the woman he's in love with, said, "If it's not with the person who has the most potential, it's not worth it." That swayed Cassie for all of one second, which Colton took as a sign to push on, telling her, "I care for you. I love you. I want it to be you at the end of this." Whoa. Unfortunately Cassie still wasn't feeling it, which she attempted to make clear with a rambling response:
"I want you to have what you want, too, you know? I love you so much. So much. But I couldn't, after today . . . I'm not in love, you know what I mean? I don't know why today I'm not . . . I feel like I'm having doubts about it."
At this point, Colton asks her point blank if she came to the date with the intention of voluntarily leaving the competition. "Mhmm. Not because I don't care about you so much. But because I don't know if I can get there," she says. "I wonder if I would've been sure by now. I don't know. I don't understand."
She then gets up and leaves to go cry a few feet off the villa's porch - side note: did you notice all the fedoras hanging on the wall of the villa?! There were, like, at least 10?! - after saying "I don't know" about a million more times (as well as "I can't" and "I'm so confused"). The pair hug it out, and Cassie tells him she wants him to find someone who is "insanely in love with" him and that she needs to go. Colton responds by saying that he's going to continue fighting for her. And then Cassie zooms off into the night in the usual black SUV, sobbing about her choice.
And what does Colton do? HE JUMPS THAT FENCE, PEOPLE.
Distraught, crying, and not in the mood to talk to the cameras, Colton gets the hell out of there, saying, "I'm f*cking done." It's understandable, given the situation, but now Bachelor Nation is obviously desperate to know more since the episode ends on that cliffhanger.
When Entertainment Tonight asked Colton how long he was gone after jumping the fence back in January, he said, "I was gone for a while. In that moment, and the feelings I was feeling, I left the show. I just needed time to myself."
No matter what ends up happening, Colton's fence jump will go down as one of The Bachelor's most dramatic moments ever. (Yes, Chris Harrison, I'm stealing your line.) See how fans are reacting to it all, ahead.
Arya Stark Is Running Away in the New Game of Thrones Trailer - but From Whom?
After a long wait, the full trailer for season eight of Game of Thrones is finally here. It's an intense ride from its opening moments, which feature a terrified Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), with blood or dirt on her face, running away from . . . something. What's got her so terrified, and what does the brief scene suggest about the show's grand finale?
The one thing that seems pretty certain from the environment around Arya: the setting. Judging by the appearance of the stone walls and corridors around her as she flees, it looks like whoever - or whatever - is pursuing her has gotten within the walls of Winterfell itself. That in and of itself is unsettling, seeing as Winterfell has once again become the stronghold of House Stark and the first (or last) stronghold against the White Walkers. But what's even more unsettling is the look on Arya's face. She's dirty, tired - and frightened. That's not an emotion we're used to seeing from the tough, stoic young fighter. What could possibly have frightened her into a terrified retreat?
Arya running through the halls of Winterfell evokes an image from the previous teaser trailer, which saw Sansa, Arya, and Jon walking through the crypts of Winterfell while dialogue from past seasons played over the footage. Unfortunately, that trailer was, in all likelihood, a special shot for promotional purposes, not an actual scene from an upcoming episode, so there's little to be gleaned there. The only thing that the two trailers together seem to imply is that Arya's journey will come to an end, for better or for worse, as a Stark and as a fighter.
"I know Death. He has many faces. I look forward to seeing this one," Arya says in a bit of dialogue over the footage of her fleeing, before it melts into a shot of her apparently preparing for battle. This bit of dialogue could potentially be a clue to who her pursuer is. In previous seasons, Arya joined the Faceless Men and learned their tricks of disguise. Even after she elected not to continue down that path and re-embraced her identity as Arya Stark of Winterfell, she continued using some of the techniques she learned under their tutelage. It's possible that the brotherhood - or Jaqen H'ghar himself - is seeking retribution for her using the powers they gave her outside of their jurisdiction.
Another potential suspect? A returned character, someone back from the dead as a wight. We already know that at least one reanimated wight will play a role in the final season (Viserion), so it would make sense if other dead characters came back similarly. The most popular candidate would probably be Arya's mother, Catelyn Stark, who was killed five seasons ago on the show but, in the novels, had a return arc as "Lady Stoneheart." Since Game of Thrones never did that arc, it's possible they were saving it for this - and her evil, reanimated mother would definitely send Arya frantically running down the halls!
The other question, of course, is why Arya encounters her pursuer at all. In the middle of the shots of her running away, there's a brief shot of Varys and several others, apparently hiding in the crypts of Winterfell (a statue, possibly of Robb Stark, can be seen in the background). If the two scenes are actually happening at the same time, like they are in the trailer, Arya might be distracting or fighting an enemy to keep the non-fighters safe. We don't have the answers now, but we won't have too long to wait: the final season of Game of Thrones begins on April 14.
The Bachelor: Why Cassie's Hometown Date Has Bachelor Nation Demanding Justice for Kirpa
Spoilers for The Bachelor ahead!
We've finally made it to hometown dates, Bachelor Nation, and true colors are finally being shown! Episode eight of Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor saw the former footballer meeting the families of the four remaining women, and it was just as awkward as one would imagine. Not only did Colton's attempts to get "blessings" to marry each of the women from their fathers fall embarrassingly flat, but the hometown dates also proved how over his head Colton really is when it comes to his relationship with each woman. The one woman in particular who has fans raising their eyebrows? The long-perceived front runner, Cassie.
In episode seven, Cassie and Caelynn are at the center of the drama after both Tayshia and Kirpa reveal to Colton that they have doubts that the two of them are ready for the commitment he's seeking and that they might not be there for the right reasons. Colton is already pretty sensitive to these kinds of warnings, having received them from a few other ladies who already left the show, like Sydney and Katie. When he brings the accusations to the women, they both deny the claims, telling him they are totally in this for the long haul and are ready. There are lots of tears and supershocked gasps. Colton chooses to believe them, and Kirpa goes home as a result.
During Cassie's hometown date - while her father is shutting down Colton's old-fashioned attempts to get his blessing - the California-based speech pathologist and her sister have a dramatic chat about whether or not she's ready to get engaged. Cassie says she's not, but she can see herself "getting there." Ex-squeeze me, Ms. Randolph? Pinch me if I'm wrong, but that's a mighty different tune than what you were whistling in the last episode, isn't it? In fact, that's the exact opposite of what she told Colton! Which means that Kirpa wasn't just attempting to stir the pot and was looking out for Colton when she warned him about the other woman's readiness.
Of course, Bachelor Nation was quick to jump on the implications of Cassie's revelation. Most were bitterly satisfied that Kirpa's stance was vindicated, while others were calling for #JusticeForKirpa since she was unceremoniously dropped and seen as "jealous" for going to Colton. Considering how close we are to the "Women Tell All" episode, the potential for Kirpa to get validation is pretty high. Until then, we'll just have to wait to see who gets the final rose in the end and for Colton to finally jump that freakin' fence.
Westeros Faces Down Death in the Chilling Full Trailer For Game of Thrones Season 8
We know that, for fans, the premiere date for Game of Thrones's eighth and final season, April 14, feels like an eternity away. With all the clues being dropped by the cast about what we can expect in the last season, it's hard not to let that impatience get to you. Well fans, the official trailer for season eight is finally (FINALLY) here. And it's a doozy.
The trailer starts with a flash to Arya as a child, scared and hiding, before it transitions to the Arya we know now, running through Winterfell with a bruised face. The video flashes to different characters seemingly prepping for the battle of Winterfell as Arya's voice calmly states, "I know death. It's got many faces. I look forward to meeting this one." Actual chills.
The rest of the footage shows Cersei and her entourage in Kings Landing, Dany and Jon arriving in Winterfell, and the uneasy alliances between Dany's followers and those of the North preparing to go head to head with the Night King's army. Brief glimpses of the epic battle are shown and we see Jaime, Grey Worm, Brienne, and more as the living and the dead finally clash.
Once you finish making a few theories based off of the official trailer, you can check out the previously released teasers ahead! Though the clips have been short and cryptic, they do give fans more than enough to speculate on the who, what, where, and whys happening in the next season, and that will definitely get us through as we wait for more info. Check out the video above, and after your fourth rewatch (at least), read these theories on how the eighth installment might shape up.

The Cast of Riverdale Pay Tribute to Luke Perry After His Death: "Rest in Love and Peace"
The cast and crew of Riverdale are paying tribute to Luke Perry after his death. On Monday, the stars of the hit CW show shared heartfelt messages about the 52-year-old actor, who played Archie's dad, Fred Andrews. The show's executive producers, Warner Bros. Television, and The CW released a statement about how they were "deeply saddened" about his death. "A beloved member of the Riverdale, Warner Bros. and CW family, Luke was everything you would hope he would be: an incredibly caring, consummate professional with a giant heart, and a true friend to all," the statement read. "A father figure and mentor to the show's young cast, Luke was incredibly generous, and he infused the set with love and kindness. Our thoughts are with Luke's family during this most difficult time." In the wake of his death, the series reportedly shut down filming for the day.
Perry died on Monday after suffering a massive stroke. The actor's rep Arnold Robinson released a statement to The Hollywood Reporter shortly after his death, saying, "He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends."
9 Must-See Dolly Parton Movies, For the Seasoned Fan or the Newbie
Dolly Parton has been an icon practically since she first burst onto the country music scene in the mid-1960s. Over 50 years later, she is still going strong, having just been honored as the MusiCares Person of the Year at the 2019 Grammy Awards. Her performance that night featured Katy Perry, Kacey Musgraves, Miley Cyrus, Maren Morris, and Little Big Town alongside the legendary artist, singing a medley of her greatest hits like "Jolene," "Red Shoes," and "9 to 5," and it absolutely brought the house down.
In addition to her ridiculously successful career as a country artist, Parton is a celebrated actress, having put forth some really fun, heartwarming movies over the years. So whether you're a diehard fan or just discovering this gem of an artist, here are nine Dolly Parton films worth checking out.
Brie Larson Has Been Petrified About Spoiling Captain Marvel For Over 3 Years
With only days until Captain Marvel is finally released, Brie Larson has proven herself to be a locked safe when it comes to spoilers. But it hasn't been easy.
The actress sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night to discuss the role, and she confessed to being "so scared" of accidentally revealing elements of the plot during the press tour. Larson first found out she got the role a year before the news was made public, and it's been a long wait for the movie to finally hit theaters. The secrecy in the Marvel cinematic universe is notorious, and though certain actors have got a bit of a reputation for revealing things they shouldn't (we're looking at you, Mark Ruffalo), so far, Larson has kept quiet.
It did stress her out, though, and only her her costar and seasoned MCU veteran Samuel L. Jackson could calm her down, by reminding her there was only so much that could be done now. "What are they going to do, fire you now?" he apparently said to her. Watch Brie talk more about their relationship in the video above, plus get an insight into how she prepared for such an epic role.
The Jonas Brothers' Crazy Evolution Will Make You Feel Like a Teenager Again
The Jonas Brothers first rose to fame with their cover of Busted's "Year 3000" in 2006. Since then, the brothers have become known for their hit songs, their epic romances, and, yes, their interesting fashion choices. Though the group split up in 2013, they are making a comeback with their new single "Sucker." Kevin, Joe, and Nick have certainly come a long way since their Disney Channel days - two of them are married now and one of them has a family of their own - but one thing remains the same: they still "rock on." See their evolution from teen boy band to adult superstars ahead.
Bachelor Nation Has a Lot of Strong Opinions About Cassie's Huge Decision on The Bachelor
Warning: spoilers for the latest episode of The Bachelor ahead!
Another episode of The Bachelor has taken us on a roller coaster of emotions, and Colton Underwood finally jumped the freaking fence. On the downside, we had to watch him get his heart broken to get to that point.
While the March 4 episode brings us one episode closer to the finale, it also had the most shocking upset of the season so far - the voluntary exit of season 23's front runner, Cassie Randolph. Though Colton and Cassie initially have a super-romantic date in Portugal, it all goes tragically wrong after he confesses to her that her father refused to give his blessing during that incredibly awkward hometown date in Huntington Beach, CA. Cassie's family was visibly unimpressed with Colton from the get-go, but her father seemed particularly agitated by Colton professing his love to three other women and their families.
Colton relays the interaction to Cassie, and she is visibly taken aback. Despite Colton telling her it doesn't bother him because it doesn't change the way that he feels about her (not actually the point though, Colton!), Cassie can't quite seem to shake the knowledge that her father hasn't given them his blessing. The red flag that's been figuratively waving ever so gently in the background starts causing severe gale winds and warning sirens go off. And then, the Bachelor producers pull their dark magic and drop the mother of all emotional bombs. Or should I say, the father? (I don't even regret that one.)
That's right, Cassie's dad shows up in Portgual to have another chat with his daughter. He reiterates his concerns that neither Cassie nor Colton is ready and gives Cassie that final push she needs to make her decision to leave. Cue the pre-Fantasy Suite date where Colton pours his heart out to a visibly pained Cassie. While he tells her that he is falling in love with her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her, Cassie questions how her father's disapproval doesn't seem to bother Colton as much as she expected it to. Cassie admits that her father's words have affected her a great deal more. She reveals that her father came to visit her with echoes of his earlier concerns and that it's made her unsure.
The next 20-something minutes are especially painful to watch, as Colton essentially begs Cassie to stay with him rather than go back home. He flat-out tells her that she is the only one he wants to be with and repeatedly tells her that they can forget the engagement. He just wants to be with her! (This is all the stuff romantic movies are made of . . . Hugh Grant could never!) Even though Colton is essentially solving the problem Cassie and her father put before him, Cassie still struggles with the entire situation. From the outside looking in, it seems like Cassie doesn't want to admit that she simply doesn't know if she wants to be with Colton at all. In the end, it doesn't matter; Cassie tells Colton goodbye and leaves in a black van (and Colton jumps the fence). Though that may not be the last time we see her . . .
Of course, Bachelor Nation couldn't stay silent during such a dramatic exit! Opinions were pretty unanimous in thinking that the entire situation was tragic from beginning to end, though a lot of people were left wondering exactly how this leaves us for the two-night finale airing on March 11 and 12. Check out some of the most relatable reactions ahead, and get ready for the "Women Tell All" special, airing Tuesday, March 5!

Prince Harry Met a Newborn Baby, and We Can't Stop Smiling at His Adorable Reaction
Prince Harry might not be a dad just yet, but the baby fever is real. Back in October 2018, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they are expecting their first child together, and Harry hasn't been shy about his excitement for the arrival of the new royal. During a recent visit to the Scar Free Foundation Center for Conflict Wound Research at the Institute of Translational Medicine at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, Harry was distracted by an adorable newborn baby and swooped in to say hello.
During his visit at the hospital, Harry walked over to baby James Chalmer, rubbing his back and fawning over him with a dreamy look in his eyes. Honestly, who wouldn't like a little attention from a royal? Well, James seemed more confused than anything and stayed curled up in his mother's arms - at least Harry got in some quality time with the little one as practice before he actually becomes a dad. Meanwhile, Meghan recently celebrated the upcoming arrival of their first baby with a star-studded baby shower in NYC.
After proving he's already a pro at cracking dad jokes and squeezing in some last-minute parenting practice, we can only imagine how big Harry's smile will be when the royal baby finally arrives. Now prepare to "aw" as you scroll through pictures of Harry smiling at babies.
Gemma Chan Wore the Pants Version of Taylor Swift's Oscars Afterparty Dress, and OMG
Look, there are certain gals who can just pull off any red carpet look with ease. Even the incredibly intricate runway looks you see, these women can wear confidently. Gemma Chan - whom you might know from Crazy Rich Asians or the Oscars red carpet, where she stuffed her dress with cookies - is one of those people. Working with stylist Rebecca Corbin-Murray, Gemma slipped into a Ralph & Russo flowy top and iridescent fringed pants for the Captain Marvel premiere alongside Brie Larson, who stunned in Rodarte.
We had instant flashbacks to the Oscars afterparty, where Taylor Swift wore a similar look from the same Ralph & Russo runway, albeit the minidress version. Gemma carried off these wild, shimmering pants with grace, shaking them for the cameras when necessary to reveal her luminous Christian Louboutin pumps. Keep reading to see how Gemma accessorized with delicate Repossi jewels (she didn't need much else!), and catch a glimpse of her exact outfit on the catwalk.
Anna Wintour's Met Gala Looks Can Be Described in 3 Words: Chic, Classic, and Chanel
Everyone who's anyone knows this to be true: Anna Wintour is the Met Gala - everyone else is simply attending it. The 69-year-old fashionista may be better known as the longtime editor in chief of Vogue, but she is also the face of the most exclusive and extravagant fashion event of the year, which she became cochair of in 1999. The theme may change every year, but when it comes to her own look, Wintour sticks to the adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," as you can always depend on her to hit the red carpet in simple, subdued Chanel couture (and with her trademark bob, of course). Check out the gallery for all of the Met Gala VIP's looks over the past 16 years.
