So, to prevent you from any washing- and scrubbing-induced breakdowns in your near future, we decided to compile the ultimate list of how often you should clean every single thing in your home. 23 Surprising Items You Can't Bring Into Disneyland
Disneyland is a magical place where dreams come true - and it's also a place you can't bring pots and pans. Yep, the park has some pretty interesting things on their banned items list, and honestly, we wonder why they had to specify these! Of course, some prohibited items make complete sense, like weapons, for instance. Find out what you can and can't bring into the park, and make sure to leave your selfie stick at home the next time you head to Disneyland.
People Are Cutting Their Cats' Fur to Look Like Dinosaurs, and the Results Are Crazy
As an owner of several beautiful felines, I know that cat ladies tend to have a reputation for being a little - how do you say? - eclectic. And while I completely own the weirdness that often comes with having a few four-legged companions, some people are taking their reputation to new heights by giving their cats dinosaur-like haircuts. And obviously, the photos are a strange mix of craziness and, well, beauty. Although we highly recommend talking to your pet to the vet before cutting off your cat's fur in any capacity - especially if your have an outside cat - we have to admit that some of these cuts are pretty dang creative. It all started when a pet groomer shared a #TBT photo on Instagram showing off some of his work. Amazingly, the trend has seriously picked up ever since the photo was posted. Look through to get a look at some of the artistry.
You Don't Need to Refrigerate Peanut Butter - Most of the Time
Peanut butter really is one of the greatest inventions. It's an incredibly versatile food, perfect for desserts, sandwiches, healthy snacks, or just eating straight from the jar. And in addition to the nutrition value, peanut butter is always great for its shelf life and storage options.
In general, commercial peanut butter does not need to be refrigerated. Opened jars of your everyday, processed peanut butter can sit in a normal pantry for up to three months after opening. Keeping the peanut butter at room temperature also has the added bonus of making it more creamy and spreadable when you use it. However, if your jar of peanut butter is going to take longer than a few months to finish, or if you live in a climate that's particularly hot and/or humid, it doesn't hurt to pop the jar in the refrigerator. Once it's in the fridge, you've got about another three to four months to polish it off before it starts to lose freshness.
This timeframe, however, is for the processed, commercial peanut butter you'd find on a normal supermarket shelf. Natural peanut butter doesn't have some of the preservatives and hydrogenated oils that help keep commercial peanut butter fresh and creamy at room temperature for months. Because of this, natural peanut butter can really only be stored at room temperature for about a month before the natural oils begin to spoil. You can store your jar of natural peanut butter in the fridge and it'll be good for around six months. Just be sure to stir it before putting it in the fridge - if you leave the oils separated at the top, the peanut butter will solidify into one giant chunk.
As always, use common sense with determining if a jar of peanut butter is safe to eat. A simple sniff test will alert you if the peanut butter is going rancid or even just a little bit off. But as long as it seems fine and is within these timeframes, it should be good to eat.
The Cast of Sister, Sister: Where Are They Now?
In case you haven't heard yet, Sister, Sister is coming back! After celebrating 25 years this week, the beloved '90s show is getting a reboot, and it appears your favorite characters will be returning. While we're still not totally sure about Marques Houston or Tim Reid, it looks like Jackée Harry and Tia and Tamera Mowry are all on board. Given that it's been so long, you might be wondering what the cast has been up to since the show went off-air. Wonder no more, because we've got you covered!
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo Beat the Heat With a Pool Day After His 40th Birthday
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo are currently soaking up the sun south of the border. On Tuesday, the couple was spotted relaxing by the pool while vacationing in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with a group of friends and family, including their two daughters, Dusty and Gio; Behati sported a black bikini top and printed bottoms as she sprayed on some sunscreen, and Adam showed off his many, many tattoos in a pair of dark trunks. The Maroon 5 frontman recently celebrated his 40th birthday - which Behati commemorated on Instagram with a sexy snap of the two making out in the sand - and is gearing up to go on a world tour with the band in June. Keep reading to see photos from their neverending getaway!
We Already Have a Good Idea of When This Is Us Season 4 Will Premiere
This Is Us season three is over, but you can rest assured that there is more Pearson family drama to look forward to. While the show hasn't officially been renewed yet, the stars and creators have more or less confirmed that they have three more seasons in store. And after what they told Good Housekeeping about season four, we are more than ready!
So, just how long do we have to wait until the new season premieres? Not long at all. In the past, This Is Us has premiered in the Fall. Following the season three finale, Sterling K. Brown confirmed the show would be back in the Fall again when he tweeted, "See you in September, peeps!" It's also likely that the story will pick up as the Big Three celebrate their 39th birthday, just like as past seasons started with their birthday. We are definitely interested to see how Randall, Kate, and Kevin navigate the last year of their 30s.
Once You Hear the Lyrics to the This Is Us Season 3 Finale Song, You'll Cry All Over Again
This Is Us always drives home an emotional moment with the perfect song. During the season three finale, the series left us in a puddle of our own tears as we finally learn where everyone ends up in the flash-forward. As the Pearson family reunites to see a much older Rebecca, "Hold Your Head Up High" by Darlingside can be heard playing in the background. While the melody is enough to make you shed a tear, it's the lyrics that will really make you sob.
Not only do the lyrics talk about "holding your head up" during the rough times and "nothing is forever" fit perfectly with what the Big Three are going through with Rebecca, but there is also a subtle reference to Jack and Rebecca's love story. The first lyric is: "How it rambles 'round the moon / A let-go of balloon." Later in the song there is the lyric: "Through the light and through the shadow / I won't wait it out, wait it out."
Get it? Moonshadow! Like the Cat Stevens song Rebecca covers in the bar when she first meets Jack and the necklace she still wears from him. It could be a stretch, but we know that This Is Us never does anything by chance!
This Is Us Hasn't Officially Been Renewed For Season 4 Yet, but It Probably Will Be
It certainly didn't take long for fans to fall in love with This Is Us. Not only did the show break records for the most watched trailer for a new Fall show, but it also only took one episode for it to get picked up for a full-season order. Not to mention, NBC renewed the drama for not one but TWO more seasons during the middle of season one. Now that season three has officially come to a close, we have a strong feeling the show will get picked up for season four as well.
Not only are fans emotionally invested in the amazing characters and the well-written storylines, but when creator Dan Fogelman first pitched the pilot, he also already had the first four seasons of the show planned out. "When you're making a television show, you don't even know that it's going to get picked up, let alone become this giant thing that gets out of control, nor what people are going to respond to," he told Entertainment Weekly in September 2017. "So we had a plan from day one. I delivered the script for the pilot, and I also had a pitch for the next four seasons of the show."
So why hasn't NBC officially announced the show's renewal yet? When POPSUGAR spoke with Mandy Moore in February, she said they are just trying to work out how many seasons the series will have so they can announce it all at once. "We've been told pretty much what happens next season, and we know how the show ends, so it's just whether or not it's five or six seasons is what they're deciding on right now," she explained. Showrunner Isaac Aptaker echoed those sentiments when he spoke with Deadline, adding that they were planning the series finale "about three seasons in the future."
Evan Peters Is Sitting Out of a Season of American Horror Story For the First Time Ever
American Horror Story fans, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news: Evan Peters will not be making an appearance in season nine. The 32-year-old actor confirmed the news to Extra during a press line at WonderCon on Wednesday, marking the first time he'll skip a season since the show began in 2011. Since Peters has been through a murder house, asylum, and apocalypse, he deserves to "sit a season out."
Details on the upcoming season are still scarce, but we do know Olympic athlete Gus Kentworthy will star, along with Peters's ex Emma Roberts. There are plenty of theories floating around about what to expect in this next installment, but we won't really know what to expect until Ryan Murphy sheds some wisdom.
Anna Wintour's Met Gala Looks Can Be Described in 3 Words: Chic, Classic, and Chanel
Everyone who's anyone knows this to be true: Anna Wintour is the Met Gala - everyone else is simply attending it. The 69-year-old fashionista may be better known as the longtime editor in chief of Vogue, but she is also the face of the most exclusive and extravagant fashion event of the year, which she became cochair of in 1999. The theme may change every year, but when it comes to her own look, Wintour sticks to the adage of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," as you can always depend on her to hit the red carpet in simple, subdued Chanel couture (and with her trademark bob, of course). Check out the gallery for all of the Met Gala VIP's looks over the past 16 years.
This Is Us Season 3 Finale: Where Everyone Ends Up in the Shocking Flash-Forward
Warning: spoilers for This Is Us season three finale ahead!
This Is Us really knows how to save the best for last! During the season three finale, the series finally gives us some resolution about the flash-forward and why everyone is going to visit Rebecca. As the Pearson family gathers at Kevin's fancy new home, we get a few clues about where everyone ends up in the future. Let's just say, it's a lot! Bear with us as we break it all down right here.
Dwight and Morgan Have a Mini Reunion in the Season 5 Trailer For Fear the Walking Dead
Season five of Fear the Walking Dead is rapidly approaching, and AMC has finally given fans their first look by dropping a trailer at their WonderCon panel on Sunday, March 31. The four-minute trailer is a pretty thorough look at what we can expect in the fifth season - there's even moments of levity between all the walker killing, constant threats of mutual destruction among survivors, and ominous music. But even more importantly, fans get the first bit of footage with The Walking Dead alum Austin Amelio in his Dwight role. That's right, it's another crossover appearance!
The last time we saw Dwight, he was running after his girlfriend, Sherry, in TWD's season eight finale. There's no sign of Sherry in his brief appearance in the trailer, but at least Morgan looks kind of happy to see him. Check out Dwight, Morgan, and the rest of the FTWD gang in the trailer above, and prepare for their return on June 2.
Never Freeze Your Ass Off at Your Kids' Games Again, Thanks to This Easy-to-Carry Heated Seat Cushion
When it comes to attending all of our kids' sporting events, there's absolutely nothing worse than those first few moments when your tush hits those frigid, metal bleachers. I can physically feel that miserable sensation just thinking about it. And while we love seeing our kids hit home runs and block shots on the lacrosse field, we're befuddled that someone hasn't invented a heated bleacher yet. Don't feel like lugging a chargeable, heated chair from your car to the field? No problem! This easy-to-carry heated seat cushion from Lava Buns ($28) a- which can stay warm for up to six hours - should do the trick. All you have to do is pop it in the microwave to get it nice and toasted before trekking out in some not-so-pleasant weather. Scroll through to get a look at this incredible product.

Joe Jonas Had to Sign an NDA After Sophie Turner Told Him How Game of Thrones Ends
I have to give props to the Game of Thrones cast - not only do they endure brutal shooting conditions and continually witness the onscreen deaths of their real-life pals, but they also have to shoulder the burden of keeping the highly anticipated end of the HBO fantasy series a secret. With the eighth and final season just weeks away from premiering, fortunately they don't have too long to go - but have any of them let some spoilers slip?
According to EW, Kit Harington isn't the only one who revealed the big ending to his significant other (in this case his wife is Rose Leslie, who played Ygritte once upon a time, FYI); Sophie Turner, who plays badass Sansa Stark, also told fiancé Joe Jonas what's going to happen in season eight, as well as one of her closest friends. Because everyone has to find a reason to get mad about something, news that Turner had told Jonas and her friend a few spoilers caused Game of Thrones fans to get their furry Ikea rugs in a twist.

"I was on Twitter and saw these headlines like 'Twitter followers are being so mean to Sophie Turner after reports she told her friends the ending of Game of Thrones,'" Sophie said. "The truth is I've only told two people. It's not that many. To be honest, I don't read many of the mentions on Twitter because there's normally quite a bit of hate. Everything I say will always have some negative reactions so I'm not surprised."
Of course fans didn't seem to be nearly as upset with Harington spilling the beans. ("The people love Kit Harington, he can do no wrong," Turner joked. "He's the people's prince!") Since Jonas was frequently on set with Turner to keep her company during filming, he started piecing things together himself. "Joe was on set most of the time so he kind of figured it out and he was like, 'Can you fill me [in]?'" Turner said in April while speaking to ET. "And, he signed an NDN, NDA and everything so it's all good."
With Game of Thrones returning to HBO on April 14, we're going to find out all the spoilers for ourselves soon enough anyway. We'll drink chug a glass of wine to that!

Queer Eye Fans, "Karamo" Is the Podcast We've Been Waiting For - Call in For Actual Advice!
Hello? Karamo Brown? Please tell me how to improve every single aspect of my life ASAP.
At least, that's how I assume a phone call with Queer Eye's resident culture expert would go, and now we can know for sure because Karamo is hosting his own podcast, and it's all about listeners! In a tweet on March 18, the Netflix star revealed that his upcoming podcast, Karamo, is set to air on audio platform Luminary sometime in the first half of 2019. Karamo will be a call-in show, encouraging fans to pick up the phone and ring Karamo himself with any questions about challenges they're facing - and we have SO many questions saved up.
Every member of the Fab Five has his specialty, but there's really only one person who's almost guaranteed to make you cry, and that's Karamo. Why? Before he became one of the stars of Queer Eye, Karamo was a social worker, which means he has a lot of experience listening to people of all different backgrounds and giving the kind of advice they need to move forward with their lives. "I might need to be a frequent caller . . ." one fan wrote on Twitter.
Karamo truly knows how to get to the root of the problem, from self-esteem and self-awareness issues to understanding goals for the future and how to achieve them by overcoming the past. After three seasons of watching so many amazing people get amazing life makeovers, Karamo's advice would be much appreciated in our own lives.
Karamo isn't the only member of the Fab Five to have his own project on the side. Hair and skincare guru Jonathan Van Ness launched his own podcast, Getting Curious with Jonathan Van Ness, back in 2015 and covers topics he's curious about, which include everything from the Clean Water Act to ignoring haters.
So check out Jonathan's podcast while we wait for Karamo's to go live, and in the meantime, remember, "Life does not happen to you. Life responds to you." Wise words, Karamo.
Please Bow Down to the Woman Who Saved All Her Amazon Boxes to Prank Her Husband
Maureen Pritchard - a woman from Green Bay, WI, and hopefully my new best friend - pulled the ultimate April Fools' Day prank on her husband, Rob. After saving up all of her family's Amazon boxes from the past few months, she piled them up on the front lawn just in time for her husband to come home. Not only does she get some serious points for creativity, but Rob's reaction is, well, exactly what you'd expect it to be.
"I've been planning an April Fool's joke to play on Rob for MONTHS!! I got him good! I wish I would have continued to record right away when he came in the house," she wrote on Facebook. "When he saw me recording out the window I thought he realized that it was a joke, but when he came inside he kept asking, 'What IS all that?!?' I had to explain that it was 6 months of saved boxes, from us, my parents, and my sister! The second video is his reaction. April Fools! Anyone need any boxes?!? You have no idea how many people slowed down or stopped in front of our house all day today!"
Not only is this prank totally doable for the run-of-the-mill parent, but we're betting many, many partners would have the same reaction as Rob did. Scroll through to see how the hilarious trick unfolded.
Meghan Markle Gets Cheeky in the First Teaser For Lifetime's Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are back on Lifetime, and this go around, things are getting a little cheeky.
In the first trailer for Harry & Meghan: Becoming Royal, the sequel to Lifetime's Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance, Charlie Field and Tiffany Smith step into the royal roles as they portray the newlyweds over the course of their first year of marriage, experiencing "the untold joys and challenges of life inside the royal family." It looks like Lifetime is really playing up those challenges of the royal life, as Smith's Meghan Markle notes in the trailer that she feels like she's pretending to be a "beautiful swan."
While we don't know how much of the film will cover Meghan's pregnancy, we do know we'll definitely be seeing the actress don Markle's iconic tiara during the royal wedding! Check out the trailer above and get ready to relive Meghan and Harry's epic love story when the film premieres on May 27.
Lauren London Breaks Her Silence After Boyfriend Nipsey Hussle's Death: "I Am Completely Lost"
Lauren London released an emotional statement on Tuesday after the death of her boyfriend, Nipsey Hussle, on Sunday night. The actress and model shared a series of photos of her longtime partner on Instagram with the caption, "I am completely lost. I've lost my best friend. My sanctuary. My protector. My soul....I'm lost without you. We are lost without you babe. I have no words." Nipsey was fatally shot outside of his clothing store, Marathon Clothing, in Los Angeles, and a suspect was arrested on Tuesday.
Lauren and Nipsey had been together since 2013 and have a 2-year-old son named Kross together. Lauren also has a 9-year-old son with her ex-boyfriend Lil Wayne, and Nipsey was also father to his young daughter Emani from a previous relationship; he recently brought her to the Grammy Awards, where he was nominated for best rap album. On Feb. 21, GQ published a feature about Lauren and Nipsey's romance, and just days ago, the pair appeared on video for the GQ Couple's Quiz.
The Avengers Face Down Thanos in the Emotional New Trailer For Endgame
A brand new trailer for the fourth and final film in Marvel's Avengers franchise is here, and, yes - we're already sobbing. While we're not totally sold on the film's official title, to be quite honest - Avengers: Endgame - it looks like the movie is going to deliver on the emotional conclusion to the story we've come to know and love.
In the footage released on April 2, we see characters like Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) telling Cap that they need to "finish this" before a clip of him facing down Thanos all by himself on a deserted planet plays out. There are also a few shots of the remaining team all together at the Avengers compound - Steve, Tony, Bruce, Nat, Thor, Rocket, Nebula, and more.
But just in case you thought the gang was too devastated to keep fighting, think again - they also vow to do "whatever it takes" to bring back their dearly departed friends. On the bright side, though: Ant-Man has arrived, Captain Marvel is ready to kick ass after touching down at the Avengers compound, and Nebula might have made her first friend in Rocket, so things are looking up . . . well, sort of. Are you hooked yet?
Watch the trailers ahead before the film hits theaters on April 26, 2019.

Everywhere You've Seen Zendaya - Before Her Ridiculously Huge Year Really Kicks Off
We all know that Zendaya is a gem - she sings, she dances, she acts, she advocates! She recently graced the silver screen as the trapeze artist Anne in The Greatest Showman and as the decidedly chill, book-loving version of MJ in Spider-Man: Homecoming. You might also be obsessed with her groovy, yet classically beautiful collection with designer Tommy Hilfiger. In 2019, Zendaya is going to have a huge year with many cool projects on her plate. If you're just falling in love with the megatalented actress this year, here are her past roles in TV and movies that you should know.
Like many of our current faves (Demi Lovato, Cole Sprouse, Miley Cyrus, and so on), Zendaya's background is steeped in Disney Channel parts. She first went on the small screen as Rocky Blue, the precocious dancer on the show Shake It Up, which lasted a good three seasons. In the last few years, from 2015 to 2018, the actress also starred on Disney's K.C. Undercover, a series about a teenage girl who becomes a spy. You may have also seen her in one-off roles on A.N.T. Farm and Good Luck Charlie.
The kid-friendly network also tapped on Zendaya for the television movies Frenemies and Zapped. She stars in the former as a girl who has a fallout with her best friend (Bella Thorne) over a senior-editor job, and in the latter as a teenager who uses an app to make the boys in her life behave better.
Recently, Zendaya has lent her voice to a few animated films. In the voice-acting world, she's known for her role as Smallfoot's Meechee, a young female yeti that Channing Tatum's Migo is absolutely enamored by. Her role was widely popularized by the silly "Zendaya is Meechee" meme started by YouTuber Gabriel Gundacker. Other than Meechee, Zendaya also voiced the lost duck Chi in Duck Duck Goose, Fern the garden fairy in Pixie Hollow Games, and the supercute pony Lollipop in Super Buddies (though, this is technically a live-action film).
The young actress's momentum isn't stopping any time soon, and she's definitely skyrocketing beyond her Disney Channel roots. At the moment, she's working on Dune, an in-production sci-fi film which will star Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and Timothée Chalamet. This year, she'll be starring in a handful of films and shows. In fact, you may have already seen her on Netflix's The OA as the recurring character Fola. Zendaya will also be leading the HBO series Euphoria, a Skins-esque show that will also feature A Wrinkle in Time's Storm Reid. And, of course, she'll be reprising her role as MJ in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home with Tom Holland and Marisa Tomei. We're stoked to see what's next for Zendaya!
Kourtney Kardashian Is Fully Aware Her Makeup Routine Is Nothing Like Her Sisters'
Beauty is a business the KarJenners are familiar with. You've got Kylie's famous lip kits, KKW Beauty, Khloé's recent collaboration with Becca Cosmetics, and even Kendall's partnership with Proactiv. Kourtney Kardashian will be the first to admit she does her makeup "so differently" from her sisters, but she's still down for some good glam. In celebration of her lifestyle website's launch on Tuesday, Kardashian walked Vogue through her simple, stripped-down beauty routine, and it's truly mesmerizing.
As she does her own makeup, Kardashian finds a balance between her love of all-natural products and her sisters' beauty lines. She concocts her own face mask situation and DIYs lip scrub, but still reaches for a Kylie Cosmetics Lip Liner in Dolce ($12) and adds a little bronze to her face with KKW Beauty Cream Contour ($18). And what would Kardashian's makeup be without her longtime favorite foundation? Watch her full routine above to see exactly how she achieves her signature glowy look and shop all her products for yourself.
This Sleep Doctor Has Very Bad News For Those Who Constantly Slam the Snooze Button
Some days it can feel near impossible to get out of bed. So much, in fact, that you can find yourself hitting the snooze button over and over again, hoping for a few more minutes of precious sleep. But can this habit make you even more tired? That's the question POPSUGAR asked a sleep doctor.
"The brain is not an on-off switch, and the process of waking up takes an hour or so," explained Daniel Barone, MD, a neurologist at New York-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine and author of Let's Talk About Sleep: A Guide to Understanding and Improving Your Slumber. "By hitting snooze, you are reversing the process, and as a result, the brain doesn't know what to do, so you may feel sleepy and hungover longer into the day."
That's not to say that dozing off won't feel good in that moment - but remember that it's temporary. "It feels good to fall back asleep because serotonin is released, but it's really not ideal," Dr. Barone told POPSUGAR. And that's true even if it's just for another five minutes.
"The amount you snooze doesn't matter that much - the principle of the brain not being an on-off switch is more important," he said. "It's better to just set the alarm as late as you can, and wake up one time at that time."
If you're still struggling to get out of bed, you might want to try hitting the sack sooner. "If you're exhausted when you wake up, it may be a sign you need more sleep," Dr. Barone said. "If that doesn't work, you probably should consider seeing a sleep specialist for an evaluation. There are things like sleep apnea that can lead to unrefreshing sleep, no matter how much sleep you get."
6 Reasons RunDisney's Princess Half Marathon Weekend Is the Most Magical Race on Earth
Walt Disney World recently wrapped up its RunDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend - which includes a 5K and 10K, in addition to the 13.1 - and in a surprise to literally no one who has ever visited a Disney park, it was magical. If you've been thinking about participating in a RunDisney event - or running your first race, period - you should move the princess-themed races to the top of your list. Race weekends are jam-packed with fun, and I'm not just talking about the obvious perks of getting to spend a few days in the park, enjoying the attractions and delicious food. Here are just a few reasons runners love this particular race so much.
- There's amazing merchandise. Every year during the Princess Half Marathon Weekend, RunDisney unveils some of the most beautiful and exclusive merchandise, including wine glasses, Tervis tumblers, race-themed Minnie ears, spirit jerseys, pins, and magnets. Runners can find all of this at the ESPN Wide World of Sports, where the race expo is held.
- Everyone dresses in costume. Part of the fun of Princess Half Marathon Weekend is that almost everyone is wearing some type of costume. Whether they pull the look together themselves or choose to buy a costume or themed t-shirt, the princess vibe is strong. Some people even do character mashups (think: Jedi Anna).
- The finisher medals are awesome. Each distance has a theme, right down to the medals that are presented to runners at the finish line. In the past, medals have been designed in the likeness of the princesses from Tangled, Sleeping Beauty, Brave, The Little Mermaid, and Frozen.
- Characters line the course. Yes, there's a good chance you'll find Disney princesses and sidekicks - and sometimes even villains - in both the pre- and postrace areas and along the course. You'll likely also be greeted by the park's biggest stars: Mickey and Minnie.
- Every mile is Instagram-worthy. There are photo opportunities throughout the race, from backgrounds set up by race staff to princess-themed mile markers, park icons, and cast members with fun signs.
- The postrace food is out of this world. You deserve a treat after 13.1 miles, and there are an abundance of options within the park (this is Disney, after all), from Mickey waffles to those towering Dole Whips.
Still need convincing? Scroll through to see some of the best photos from this year's race.

The 10 Scariest Stephen King Movies Ever, Ranked
Stephen King's status as the master of horror is well-earned. With 88 books and counting to his name, the author's ability to tap into the human psyche and find what scares us the most has become uncanny. And Hollywood took notice a long time ago. Not including sequels, more than 40 films based on King's work have been made since 1976's Carrie. On April 5, yet another potentially terrifying adaptation will be added to the list when the Pet Sematary remake hits theaters. Only time will tell if the 2019 film will join the list of King's scariest movie adaptations, but before we head to the theater to find out, let's look back on the 10 most chilling film adaptations of the author's work to date.
Ranked from scary to sleep with the lights on levels of fear, these movies all had theatrical releases (that means Salem's Lot fans are out of luck), and they all showcase exactly why King will always be the true master of horror in the realms of literature and film.
5 Theories About On My Block's Shocking Season 2 Cliffhanger
Warning: giant spoilers for On My Block season two below, so stop reading now if you haven't watched it yet!
On My Block's first season ends with such a devastating cliffhanger that we really never thought the show would be able to top it. But of course, when the clock runs out during season two's finale, Netflix's dramedy presents yet another shocking conclusion that had our jaws immediately on the floor. So, now that we finally know what happened to Olivia after last season's tragic shooting (and we spent an appropriate amount of time sobbing into our couch about it), the new mystery on the horizon is: who kidnaps Monse, Cesar, Jamal, and Ruby?
As a reminder, season two's final episode, "Chapter Twenty," neatly wraps up most of the lingering storylines: the gang war between the Santos and the Prophets comes to an end when Cesar and his older brother Oscar team up to double-cross their rivals, the Prophets; Monse and Cesar seem to be on their way to patching up their relationship despite Cesar's dalliance with his coworker; Ruby's older brother is no longer on the hook for fatherhood; and, of course, the Roller World money has been washed and disposed of (even if it's not in the way the group hoped it would be). That's what makes the final minute of season two so shocking.
After Cesar, Jamal, and Ruby tease Monse about her decision to go to a boarding school in New Hampshire, which they don't believe she'll actually follow through on, she storms off down the sidewalk without them, exclaiming, "I hope I never see any of you again." As she's mumbling to herself about telling off her friends, we see an unmarked gray van pull up alongside the guys, where a group of masked men (or women? It's impossible to tell) hop out, put bags over their heads, and drag them inside the van. Monse, oblivious to what just happened behind her, turns around a few seconds too late to see an empty sidewalk. Just as she's about to huff and puff even more, she's dragged off screen by the same people and tossed into the van.
It's an interesting development, since it 1.) comes out of nowhere, and 2.) doesn't seem to have an easy answer as to who it might be. Let's get to theorizing, shall we?
Did the Prophets Kidnap Them?
This seems like the most obvious answer, which also makes us think it's the least likely to actually be true. Since the war with the Prophets seems to be over once and for all after Cesar and Oscar's plan land the entire gang in prison, it really feels like the conflict between the Santos and the Prophets will stop being a major part of the series (at least to the scale that it is in season two). But could there be a few members of the gang still roaming the streets, looking for revenge? It could even be the Prophets' loved ones acting in retaliation, like Latrelle's girlfriend or other family members.
Did a New Gang Kidnap Them?
Like we said before, the Santos vs. Prophets conflict appears to be at an end. With the Prophets' territory up for grabs, perhaps another gang is going to try to move in and stir up drama in season three. It wouldn't be hard to figure out that Cesar is Oscar's little brother, so a new gang could be attempting to send Oscar a message.
Did Chivo (or Someone Else Connected to the Roller World Money) Kidnap Them?
A key season two plot line revolves around Jamal's need to wash the Roller World money and trying to figure out a way to do so without getting caught. Luckily, with Monse, Ruby, and Jasmine's help, he's able to pull off a scam involving a money transferring service in their area called Money Bunny. But as Chivo - and a few other people in the neighborhood - tell Jamal, the money isn't his to wash. As we hear in both seasons, the Roller World money technically belongs to the Santos, since older, long-dead members of the gang were the ones to find and bury it in the first place.
Perhaps Chivo, a Santos alum, decided getting Juanita (his beloved female gnome) (truly, what even IS this show) wasn't a good enough deal? He does have a pretty sick sense of humor. Or what if his buddies that he claims are dead aren't actually dead? What if they've been in hiding (or living it up on some island) all this time, and they're just metaphorically dead to Chivo? And now they've come out of hiding to claim what's theirs? Plus Cuchillos, the oft-mentioned but never-seen Santos boss, is apparently still kicking around somewhere and could want a meeting with Cesar to chat about what went down. If so, the people in the van could be henchmen bringing Monse, Jamal, Ruby, and Cesar to Cuchillos to give them a talking to.
Did Someone From Money Bunny Kidnap Them?
This seems unlikely, but hear us out - what if the owner of the Money Bunny locations in South Central figures out that they've been had by a bunch of teenagers and decides to take some old-school revenge rather than going to the police? Is there a secret Money Bunny mob we don't know about?!
Is Someone Just Playing a Joke on Them?
As shocking as the kidnapping is, we also have to point out that the tone of the entire scene is more lighthearted than it is an emotional gut punch. It kind of, sort of doesn't feel like they're in any real danger, right? When you compare it to the tone of last season's big twist, when Ruby and Olivia are bleeding out in the backyard, they couldn't be more different. Sure, Olivia and Ruby's lives were in immediate peril, but getting yanked off the street and thrown into a sketchy van isn't exactly a picnic, either. Maybe it's Ruby or Cesar's older brothers trying to play a prank on them? We personally like to think Jasmine is behind it, having finally snapped after one too many of Monse's outfits.
Whatever You Do, Don't Sit in This Row on Your Next Flight
I recently survived a six-hour flight without being able to recline my seat. I thought to myself, Seriously? What are the chances of this happening again?, referring to another lengthy trip I had flown just months before. And then as I continued to think back on most of my recent flights, I realized that I've had a "broken" seat on multiple occasions - cue the ultimate face-palm moment. I always aim to book the closest seat to the front as possible and usually, the closest available option on Virgin America air crafts is row eight - aka the one in front of the exit row, but also known as the row that doesn't recline.
It makes total sense! Just as you're required to keep your tray tables upright during takeoff and landing, the exit row in particular needs to remain unobstructed for safety. It would only make it more difficult for those passengers to assist in an emergency if the seats in front of them were in the way. If you enjoy neck and back pain, book a seat in that row, by all means.
In addition to the row in front of the exit row, here are a few other sections you should really try to avoid on your next flight.
- The last row: Sure, you're conveniently located near the bathroom - but you're also right next to the bathroom. On top of unpleasant smells, you'll also have to deal with standing passengers waiting for their turn in line. Oh, and your seat doesn't recline, either.
- The exit row: Extra legroom is awesome, but this spot also comes with a couple drawbacks. Depending on your aircraft, your seat's tray table may fold into the armrest, which usually equals a narrower seat. And if your plane has two exit rows, the first row of seats don't recline.
- The bulkhead row: These seats are situated in the first row of the main cabin, behind the wall that separates you from first class. Again, you get to enjoy extra legroom but your seat will most likely be narrower to accommodate the tray table in your arm rest. Plus, you won't be able to stow your personal items beneath the seat in front of you, so you'll have to access the overhead compartment each time you need something.

I've Been Online Dating For a Decade - Is My Time Up?
In some capacity, I've been online dating for a decade. I've dabbled with Match, OkCupid, Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge, been put on waiting lists for the more exclusive apps like Raya, and watched trendy apps come and go (remember Salad Match, the site for singles based on their salad preferences?). I've given them all a chance to see what sticks, and almost 10 years later, I still have a blank slate. Of all the ways to meet people, online dating has been the least successful route for me.
Yet when I meet couples who've found success with online dating, their outcomes are obviously different, but the timelines are mostly the same. "I was on the app three days before I met her," one said. "We met within a few weeks of me being on the app," said another. These couples find love in what even Rihanna might deem a hopeless place, fairly fast. This made me ask myself, Am I doing something wrong? Probably not, as online dating is a pretty simple concept. But more interestingly, has my time on dating apps expired?
After one too many conversations with couples who found each other online within months of downloading an app, I decided to create a survey to test a theory: You have a brief window of time to successfully connect with someone on a dating app (meaning long-term relationship, marriage, etc.). I surveyed 100 people (via SurveyMonkey) in relationships that stemmed from online dating (Match, eHarmony, Tinder, Bumble, Grindr, etc.), and the results seemed to confirm this.
- 16 percent met their significant other online within two weeks or less
- 14 percent met their significant other online within a month or less
- 29 percent met their significant other online within six months or less
- 17 percent met their significant other online within a year or less
- 12 percent met their significant other online within two years or less
- 12 percent met their significant other online after more than two years on an app
There's a big spike around the six months or less mark, and then it goes down after that. In fact, nearly 60 percent of those surveyed report having met their significant other online within six months or less, and 76 percent within a year or less.
There could be a few reasons for this. For one thing, there's the mindset. I put more energy into online dating at the beginning. I remember when Tinder first came out and it was fun, fresh, and new. It was exciting to swipe and chat. When you have a more optimistic attitude, you tend to have more positive results.
This leads to the second reason why my time may be up. The longer I've been on an app, the more I've experienced online dating fatigue. In many cases, I swipe through the same people over and over again, no matter what app I'm on, and no one talks to each other. Or you start a conversation with someone and they either block you for no reason or troll you with weirdly unfunny jokes (sample message: "I'm a janitor and my best friend's Ben Affleck" " . . . OK?"). This makes me take an app less seriously than I did when I first started using it.
So is online dating a waste of time for me at this point? Undetermined. I'm still on a few apps, still swiping and chatting, but they definitely don't have the same hopeful promise they once had. And that's especially true after reviewing the results of my survey and thinking back on how long I've been doing this. Maybe I'm just waiting for the next new app to strike my fancy and make me excited about online dating again. Or maybe I'm just banking on the dating application that I've had the best results with: the in-real-life one.
You Can Win a Sleepover at the Freakin' Louvre Museum, and I'm Wholeheartedly Shook
If you grew up obsessed with the Night at the Museum movie series, you're going to flip out over the latest news from Airbnb. The company just launched a contest that allows two lucky people to stay overnight in the Louvre Museum to see if the sculptures really do come to life once the sun goes down. Yes, the Louvre, as in that superfamous monument in Paris that houses some of the world's most renowned works of art, including the "Mona Lisa." This may sound too good to possibly be true, but it's very real and most definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity if I've ever seen one.
Airbnb's Night@ franchise is hosting the contest in honor of the Louvre Pyramid's 30th anniversary, granting one winner and their guest up-close-and-personal access to the Paris museum's masterpieces - without all the usual selfie-stick-toting tourists around. On April 30, the two art-lovers will first be greeted by an art historian who will guide them on a personal tour of the grounds (which is something that only the likes of Barack Obama, Beyoncé, and JAY-Z have done, BTW). Following the tour, the pair will then enjoy a drink while sitting in front of Leonardo da Vinci's one and only "Mona Lisa" painting (cheers, Mona!), and chow down on dinner in the presence of the "Venus de Milo" statue. To cap the night off, the contest winners will lounge and sleep under the museum's Instagram-famous glass pyramid in a mini lookalike version.
I'm sure at this point your eyes are wide in disbelief and you're wondering, "OK, how the heck do I enter this contest?!" All you have to do is visit airbnb.com/louvre before April 12 and answer the following question: why would you be the Mona Lisa's perfect guest? Easy enough, right? Before brainstorming your answer, check out a sneak peek of what the experience will look like below, and you'll definitely feel inspired to come up with the most creative answer possible.
Watch This Amazing Game of Thrones Fountain Show to See the Night King Go Up in Flames
Someone call Daenerys, because a familiar blue-fire-breathing dragon has taken over the Bellagio in Las Vegas, and he isn't alone.
As part of the excitement leading up to the season eight premiere of Game of Thrones, HBO and water feature company WET Design have partnered to create a three-and-a-half-minute light and water spectacular. Even more exciting? One of our favorite villains is the star: the Night King!
"The Bellagio fountain is iconic," Game of Thrones composer Ramin Djawadi told the Associated Press. "It's known around the world, and so is Game of Thrones, so I think putting them together and seeing the music choreographed to a fountain like that is quite the spectacle."
The show starts out with tranquil music, scored by Djawadi, and soft blue lights to mimic the blizzards and cold of the long winter. Soon enough, though, the show's custom score transitions into the familiar climactic Game of Thrones theme song and Viserion swoops in to steal the show. "You'll feel and you'll see the shadows of those dragons, and then at the end when the dragon incinerates the ice wall, it catches our lake," Mark Fuller, CEO of WET Design, said in a press release video. "And, if you thought maybe water didn't burn, oh my gosh - you've got to see what this dragon does to the lake of the Bellagio."
As part of HBO's #ForTheThrone initiative, the show is complete with pyrotechnics, colorful lights, and shadow-like projections of both Viserion - Daenerys's dragon-turned-White Walker - and the Night King as he marches forward through the flames of battle (and possibly toward Casterly Rock). The most interesting detail? If the end of the fountain show is anything to go by, it looks like the fight for the throne is going to go down in flames.
The limited-run event will be on display twice nightly at the Bellagio at 8 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. now through April 13. Check out photos and a video of the entire flame-fueled fountain show below.
Calling All Adventurers! These Are the 5 Best Credit Cards For Travel Miles
Every traveler is different. Some like to indulge in great meals and save on hotels, while others would be willing to live on granola bars if it will get them a bed in a five-star hotel. Some would fly across the world in coach, while others would spend every penny they have to experience the Singapore Suites on Singapore Airlines. Credit cards have tons of travel benefits, and no matter your travel style, there's a card that can help you save on your next adventure. Here are this year's five best cards for those who love to travel.
1. Chase Sapphire Reserve
Don't be intimidated by the $450 annual fee on this one, because the Chase Sapphire Reserve practically pays for itself, as long as you take full advantage of its benefits. Besides the $300 annual travel credit (which can be applied towards almost any travel-related expense), you'll also earn three points per dollar on travel and dining. If you've always wanted to travel in style, this card gives you Priority Pass Select lounge access (which includes over 1,200 airport lounges worldwide), as well as a credit for the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee.
Other benefits include no foreign transaction fees, trip cancellation coverage, baggage delay insurance, lost luggage reimbursement, primary car rental insurance, and the ability to redeem points directly through the Ultimate Rewards travel portal at a rate of 1.5 cents apiece. The best part: if you spend at least $4,000 within the first three months of signing up, you'll receive 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points.
2. American Express Gold
Though the American Express Gold is the best card for dining (as it earns four points per dollar at grocery stores and restaurants, as well as $10 in monthly credit when you use the Gold card at dining partners), it also has plenty of travel benefits to offer. As well as a $100 annual airline fee credit, you'll earn three points per dollar on flights booked directly with airline or Amex Travel. Though this one also has an expensive annual fee at $250, it's worth your investment if you spend $2,000 in the first three months, which earns you 35,000 Membership Rewards points.
3. The Platinum Card from American Express
Coming in third is The Platinum Card from American Express, which is the best card on the market for purchasing airfare. At $550, the annual fee is steep, but if you take advantage of everything the card has to offer, it's absolutely worth the price. With this card, you'll earn five points per dollar on airfare booked directly with the airline or Amex Travel (as well as prepaid hotels purchased through Amex Travel), and you can transfer your Membership Rewards points earned with this card to Amex's 20 airline and hotel partners. Travel will also be made way easier (and much more luxurious) with its rebate for the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee, and in addition to Priority Pass Select lounge access, this card will get you Centurion Lounge access and Delta Sky Club access when you're flying Delta.
Other benefits include a $200 annual airline rebate for incidental fees, up to $200 in annual Uber credits, a newly added $100 credit at Saks Fifth Avenue, and complimentary Hilton Honors Gold and SPG Gold status. Spend $5,000 in the first three months and you'll also get 60,000 Membership Rewards points (and earn an extra 25,000 points after you spend an additional $10,000 in the first three months).
4. Citi Prestige
Even if you don't travel frequently, the Citi Prestige more than pays for itself in its first year, despite its $450 annual fee. With this card, you'll earn five points per dollar on all air travel and restaurant spending, and three points per dollar on hotel and cruise-line bookings. Citi will reimburse you $250 annually for travel-related purchases, and you'll also get Priority Pass Select lounge access and a credit for the Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application fee. Citi understands that travel doesn't always go according to plan, so they give you up to $500 for expenses for flights delayed over six hours, as well as the same credit for baggage delayed over six hours.
The most valuable perk of the Citi Prestige, however, is the fourth-night-free benefit: Citi will pay for the fourth night of your stay at virtually any hotel when booking through ThankYou.com or the Citi Prestige Concierge. When you sign up and spend $4,000 in the first three months, you'll receive 50,000 ThankYou Rewards points, and those points can be transferred to 15 airline partners or redeemed for airfare and hotels through Citi's travel portal.
5. Chase Sapphire Preferred
If you're skeptical of an expensive annual fee, this card may be the one for you. At only $95 a year (which will be waived your first year!), the Chase Sapphire Preferred will get you two points per dollar on travel and dining, as well as the ability to transfer points to 13 different travel partners. You'll also receive primary auto rental insurance, trip cancellation coverage, and no foreign transaction fees, which will definitely come in handy during international travel. This card allows you to redeem points directly through the Ultimate Rewards travel portal at a rate of 1.25 cents apiece, and - best of all - if you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first three months, you'll get 50,000 Ultimate Rewards points, which is the same bonus as the Chase Sapphire Reserve.
