Target's Vampire Mickey Mug Is a Spooky Delight, Ideal For Your Morning Witch's Brew

Target is supplying no shortage of spooky fun this Halloween - even the coffee mugs double as dangerously delightful decor pieces. Take this Disney Mickey Mouse Ceramic Mug ($10), for example. Shoppers are already obsessing over the cartoon cookware, so much so that it keeps selling out online.

The sculpted vampire Mickey is far from your average creepy crawly Halloween decorations. Instead, it's downright adorable and just right for some morning brew. The mug is completely BPA-free, but Target's online instructions still advise users to hand wash and avoid the microwave to preserve its iconic look. If you're not in the mood for a cup of joe, you can also use it as a planter or catchall. There are so many possibilities!

It's Easy to Slip Into Depression After College, and Maybe We Don't Talk About That Enough

There I was on stage, ready to accept the diploma that would be mailed to me several weeks later, turn my tassel to the other side, and officially become a college graduate. Four years of cramming for exams, writing papers, stumbling home with friends from bars, sleeping too little or too much, and everything in between were over. It was time to take everything I had learned and tackle life after college. And yet, as soon as I turned that tassel, I wanted to turn it back. I wasn't ready to move on, and it wasn't long before I fell into a depression.

Earning my diploma should have prompted joy, and instead I felt despair.

Depression is a familiar foe I know all too well. I've battled depression since I was 13 - I know what it looks and feels like - but the depression I experienced after graduating was unlike anything I had dealt with before. I felt this immense loss in the pit of my stomach, like I wanted to run as fast as I could, but I didn't know where to go. I soon realized that what I wanted was to retreat back to college, where I could remain protected within the walls of academia, but that wasn't an option.

This particular form of depression is even more isolating because of the obvious contradiction. Graduating from college is supposed to be a milestone, a time for celebration. The cards from friends and family read "congratulations," not "sorry for your loss." Earning my diploma should have prompted joy, and instead I felt despair. Though I knew I wanted to work in journalism, I was unemployed. I had to abandon my plan to move to Brooklyn with my best friend, who already had a job lined up. I wanted to build a time machine so badly that I searched for YouTube tutorials.

Instead of transporting back in time, I settled into a new routine: spending every day on my laptop applying for jobs in my pajamas. While job boards are useful tools, it didn't take long for me to realize that I was a faceless applicant in a sea of hundreds, maybe thousands. Most places I applied to didn't even send me a formal rejection. It was bleak and disheartening. I began to feel like my college education had failed me. That I had failed me. I had worked so hard to get good grades while juggling passion projects and internships, and yet here I was spending my Summer moving from one stage of grief to the next: denial, anger, bargaining, depression, hold the acceptance.

It helped to reconnect with my friends who, whether they had jobs or had already moved out, were also struggling.

You often lose yourself in depression, something I couldn't afford to do at a time when I was supposed to be building a new life for myself. But that's exactly what happened: I started to gain weight, because I overindulge when I'm depressed and I was living at home, where the refrigerator was stocked with groceries I didn't have to buy. Getting out of bed in the morning was near impossible. I was both desperate for a job and unmoved by any of the openings. There were days when I didn't apply to anything at all and instead sulked in bed. Some evenings I just sat and cried. It was as if I had no fight left.

After a couple months, I started to feel like I could see the way out of the hole of my depression. It helped to reconnect with my friends who, whether they had jobs or had already moved out, were also struggling. It was just good to know I wasn't alone.

I realized that I could either accept this new normal or make a move to change it. So I stopped wishing for control over those job rejections and instead focused on making myself the best candidate I could be. I began networking, while keeping my options open for things like grad school and fellowships. And eventually I realized that graduating college isn't a life sentence, but in fact the opposite - I have the rest of my life ahead of me, and that's only isolating and scary if I allow it to be. Take it from someone who knows: the same can be true for you.

This Gorgeous Halloween Wedding Was Inspired by Disney's Haunted Mansion!

Teresa and Peter have shared a love for all things Disney ever since they met. But they didn't want their families to have to travel across the country from New York for their wedding, so they did the next best thing and brought Disney to them. The Bear Mountain Carousel at Bear Mountain State Park was the perfect location for their Haunted Mansion-inspired reception. Peter wore shoes based on the Disneyland attraction, and the movie's soundtrack played throughout their wedding day. The bride wore a stunning custom-made dress that complemented the dramatic and dark florals. Their fun wedding cake was adorned with skull pumpkins with mouse ears, while the toppers were their own skeleton renditions!

One of the many highlights from the couple's Halloween wedding was definitely the merry-go-round that guests were able to ride all night.

The Very Best Moments Caught on Camera From This Year's Emmy Awards

The 71st annual Emmy Awards took place in LA on Sunday evening, and the hostless show did not disappoint. Chernobyl, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Fleabag, and Game of Thrones were some of the big winners of the evening, while stars like Jharrel Jerome, Bill Hader, Julia Garner, and more took home awards of their own. In addition to the many gold statues, there was also a slew of hilarious (and awkward) presentations, inspiring acceptance speeches, and sexy red carpet gowns to take in. Naturally, the night was a huge success, and if you missed it, we've collected all of the moments to see, from costar reunions to onstage celebrations and more, with the fun-filled Emmys moments ahead!

I Am Emotionally Attached to This Photo of Phoebe Waller-Bridge Basking in Her Emmy Wins

Oh, what a night! Phoebe Waller-Bridge swept the Emmys Awards on Sunday with three Fleabag wins, and chose to celebrate in a very Faye Dunaway way. BBC Head of Comedy Josh Cole shared a photo of the 34-year-old juggernaut at an afterparty basking in the glory of her exciting (and, let's be honest, exhausting) night. She's seen holding a cigarette in one hand and a cocktail in the other, surrounded by her glittering golden trophies.

In the Instagram comments, Josh confirmed that this photo is actually modeled after Faye Dunaway's iconic "Morning After" shot from the 1977 Oscars. Phoebe adopted a similar badass energy in her own pose, and it quickly brought fans on social media to their knees. Ahead, catch a few of the very best tweets and prepare yourself for the pulling urge to binge Fleabag for the umpteenth time.

Elsa and Anna Go on a Dangerous Adventure in the Intense New Trailer For Frozen 2

Something is going down in Arendelle, and it looks like Elsa, Anna, Olaf, and Kristoff are gearing up to do battle.

Our new look at Disney's Frozen 2 is an intense one, that teases Queen Elsa (Idina Menzel) is in grave danger. In addition to being trapped on what looks like a rocky island surrounded by a massive, roiling body of water, it seems she's all that stands between Arendelle potentially being destroyed forever thanks to a mysterious (and tragic) event from the past. It leads her to ask why she was born with her icy powers, and if they'll be enough to save not only her, but her kingdom. Dun, dun, dunnnn.

Luckily Elsa isn't alone - Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and Princess Anna (Kristen Bell) declare they won't let anything bad happen to her, and accompany her on the epic new journey that involves magic, mist, and a whole new cast of characters. It looks like our favorite Arendellians will be going up against something powerful, and we can't wait to see how it all goes down. Check out the trailer above, and get excited - Frozen 2 will hit theaters Nov. 22!

Alex Borstein Takes Her Brilliant Emmys Speech From Profane to Profoundly Inspiring

We already know Alex Borstein deserves all the accolades for her role as as Susie Myerson on Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, but damn do her Emmys speeches deserve their own wins.

The actress won outstanding supporting actress in a comedy series for the second year in a row, and though she started off by joking about upsetting viewers with her braless appearance at last year's Emmys, she wrapped up her speech with a rousing call for action.

The Emmy winner dedicated her award to "the strength of a woman," thanking show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, as well as the other women on the Mrs. Maisel cast before she went on to thanking her mother and her grandmother. "My grandmother was in line to be shot into a pit and she turned to a guard and said, "What happens if I step out of line?" He said, "I don't have the heart to shoot you, but someone will." she revealed. "For that I am here and my children are here. So step out of line, ladies. Step out of line."

Watch her speech ahead, and then check out the rest of the night's winners.

This Strategy For Getting My Toddler to Listen Has Helped Me Parent Without Yelling

My son turned three when I became pregnant with our second child, and toddlerhood suddenly threw a curve ball I had no idea how to catch. It seemed like the farther along I got in my pregnancy, the harder it was to get him to cooperate. The mornings and evenings when my husband was working and I was parenting solo were especially brutal. I'd run the gamut of parenting offense: pleading, bribing, threatening - and on my worse days - yelling.

In my desperation, I ordered How to Talk So Little Kids Will Listen by Joanna Faber and Julie King ($8) and it suggested a tool I had never thought to use: play. You might be thinking... how exactly do you play your way out of a tooth brushing stand off? And what if you're not in a playful mood? Isn't that a lot of exhausting creative work? And shouldn't my child learn how to do things because I ask him to? I had all of these thoughts, but let me explain what happened when I tried it.

It was indeed a tooth brush stand off that started the experiment. My toddler refused to open his mouth after I slathered his toothbrush with strawberry toothpaste and enthusiastically offered him a taste. "No! I don't want to brush my teeth." He said, folding his arms. My mind flashed to the shark documentary we had watched bits and pieces of over the weekend. "Hey!" I said, looking at his mouth and pointing curiously. "It looks like you're growing a shark tooth in there. Let me see!"

This piqued his interest. His eyes immediately lit up as he opened his mouth for me to take a peek. "Yes, you are! It's in the back. Let me touch it with the toothbrush to see if it's sharp," I said. He began to giggle a little with his mouth open. I began working the toothbrush around his molars, making my way through the rest of his mouth as I rattled off random shark stats and continued to comment on the tooth. It worked!

In fact, it worked so well that I continued to use the tactic throughout our getting-out-of-the-house routine. That morning, I was the voice for his empty shoes who were hungry for feet, I was a fellow Pterodactyl flying to the car with him to escape the fate of Sharp Tooth, the T-Rex. On the way to daycare, we hopped out of the car and held hands as we escaped lava. And as I kissed him goodbye, I realized how good I felt. Sure, getting out the door a little early felt great, but more than that, I was enjoying the silliness and fun. It added so much joy to what previously felt like one giant checklist, and we were connecting.

Do I used this tool to get my toddler to listen all the time? Honestly, no. There are days when I don't feel creative or particularly "sunny", as the authors put it. On those days, I reach back into my tool box and choose another approach. Being playful is a part-time tool that is a fantastic first resort. If you can muster it, you'll be shocked by how effective it is. Other tools, like offering kids a choice and giving them information instead of an order are also helpful, but there's something about play that can change the parent-toddler dynamic in an instant.

Netflix's Breaking Bad Movie Trailer Is Here, and It Looks Like Jesse Pinkman Is on the Run

You're going to want to mark Oct. 11 in your calendar, because that's when El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie hits Netflix and we'll finally get an update on the life of one Jesse Pinkman.

Netflix dropped the first teaser for the highly anticipated sequel to the AMC series back on Aug. 24, and thanks to Skinny Pete, we know that Jesse is evading law enforcement. At the Emmys on Sunday night, Netflix surprised us again, this time by giving us a second look at the Breaking Bad movie. In the brief teaser we finally see actor Aaron Paul reprising his role as Jesse, and if we weren't excited before, we certainly are now.

Paul confirmed he'd be stepping back into Pinkman's shoes for the feature-length film late last year and will also act as a producer. There's no telling if Bryan Cranston will make an appearance as Walter White, but we can hope. Five years after the show ended, it appears he and Paul are still close. They even launched a Mezcal brand called Dos Hombres together last month.

Watch the new trailer above, then catch up on everything we know about the film so far, including who has joined the cast.

I Haven't Been to a Gym All Year - Instead, I Work Out at Home With These 8 Products

I've never considered myself an avid workout person, but the last couple years, I've gotten a lot more into my fitness routine. I started by attending various gyms, but I always found them too expensive or far away from my house. Then I switched my focus to classes, which I still absolutely love, but they can be expensive when going several days a week. I finally decided to cancel my gym membership once and for all and work out at home instead. I love learning new things in classes and with instructors, then trying them on my own later.

The key to getting the right workout, though, involves a couple products. I invested in a few things, like a comfortable workout mat and even a stationary bike, but the amount of money it's saved me in the long run has been worth every penny. So if you're also trying to exercise more at home, I've shared a couple of my favorite items ahead that can help you, too. Keep reading to shop them all and see which ones fit your routine.

This Easy Snack Storage Hack Will Make Your Little Ones Want to Eat Their Vegetables

Sunday self-serve is ready for the week. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 After grocery shopping I always wash and prep all of the food that is...

Posted by The Eager Teacher on Sunday, September 15, 2019

Convincing yourself to eat healthy snacks can be . . . difficult, and convincing your kids to eat healthy snacks can be next to impossible at times. Luckily, Sarah Horner - a blogger, school administrator, and mom of two with a baby on the way - came up with the perfect snack storage hack to encourage her two boys to choose nutritious snacks over junk food, and it's kind of genius.

"After grocery shopping I always wash and prep all of the food that is considered self-serve in our house," Sarah explained in a Facebook post on her page The Eager Teacher. "Self-serve, for my kiddos, means help yourself without asking and it's always an OK snack (any time of day, bedtime snacks, etc.). It also helps me when I'm packing lunches and snacks, or as a side dish when dinner doesn't include something they will definitely eat, or if we have a busy/late night." Once the snacks are prepped, all she does is put them in storage containers on the lower shelves of the fridge door, where her kids can grab 'em and go anytime. Why didn't we think of that?!

As simple as this snack hack may seem, Sarah understands that kids can be picky when it comes to how their food is served and whether or not it's fun to eat. By prepping the food in advance and putting them in a space that's accessible to her children, she ensures that healthy snacks are always in reach, while also allowing her kids to feel in control by grabbing the treats themselves.

"There's something about having things truly ready to grab that makes kids eat it," she adds. "I could leave the baby carrots in a bag or leave the grapes on the stems but they wouldn't eat it." So true - even for me, sometimes. I know I'm definitely trying this snack hack out for myself after my next grocery trip.

Chrissy Metz and Hannah Zeile Had the Cutest Twinning Moment on the Emmys Red Carpet

Chrissy Metz and her This Is Us "mini me" Hannah Zeile just had the cutest twinning moment on the red carpet at the 2019 Emmy Awards, and they both looked absolutely stunning. Chrissy, who plays Kate Pearson on the NBC drama series, was basically an actual ray of sunshine in a silvery black sequined dress with ruffled cross-body sleeves.

Hannah - who plays Young Kate, Chrissy's angsty teenage self on the show - also dazzled in a black, figure-hugging gown with a studded bodice and a flowing black cape à la Maleficent, and we want both of their looks ASAP. Keep scrolling to see their gorgeous, shimmery gowns and see how these two managed to be dopplegängers on and off screen.

Just Out of Curiosity, Who Else Gasped in Awe After Seeing Zendaya at the Emmys?

We expected Zendaya to make a stunning appearance at the Emmys, and she didn't disappoint! On Sunday, the 23-year-old actress hit the red carpet in LA modeling a green dress with wavy reddish-brown hair á la Ariel from The Little Mermaid (she's no stranger to dressing like a Disney princess, after all). And in true Zendaya fashion, she struck a few fierce poses and hit all her angles as cameras flashed.

Zendaya is also set to present during the show, though we can make a case for why she deserves to win an Emmy herself - have you seen her amazing performance in HBO's Euphoria? Sadly, the drama won't be eligible for Emmy nominations until next year, so we're expecting her to return in 2020 to gather her things. Until then, look ahead to "ooh" and "aww" over her big night!

Presenting This Year's Emmy Winners, So Far

Ever since the 2019 Emmy nominations were announced in July, it was obvious that some spectacular actors and shows would be taking home important awards at the big event in September. The Fleabag Cast Reunited at the Emmys, and Now I Need a Third Season More Than Ever

The Fleabag cast blessed up with a reunion on the Emmys red carpet Sunday night, and holy smokes, do they clean up well! Phoebe Waller-Bridge swapped her character's signature black jumpsuit for a sequined champagne-colored gown. Sian Clifford stunned in a white dress and slicked-back hairstyle that's a far cry from Claire's botched season two haircut. And Andrew Scott ditched his "hot priest" getup for a classic tuxedo that still has us kneeling down and ready to confess our sins - sorry, couldn't resist.

The three costars posed together ahead of the award show, leaving us yearning for a third Fleabag season more than ever before. The BBC series is nominated for multiple Emmys this year, including outstanding comedy series, in addition to creator and main star Waller-Bridge being in the running for outstanding lead actress in a comedy series. Our fingers are crossed they get the recognition they deserve! Ahead, see photos of the cast's glam night out together.
