Bamboo cutting boards are standard fare beside their wood and plastic peers. Perhaps because the material has endeared itself to all kinds of kitchen products, not to mention environmentalists, thanks to the plant's rapid growth and regeneration. Bamboo grows to a harvestable height in three to five years, as compared to decades for its tree counterparts, and it can regrow without replanting. It's also remarkably sturdy - 16 percent stronger than maple - yet gentler on knives than plastic.
So while it holds up against daily chopping duties, it also resists deep gouges better than wood (and thus harbors less icky bacteria). - Condition
Before you make your first cut, drizzle that board with mineral oil and rub it in with a soft, dry cloth. Wash your cutting boards in warm, soapy water after every use. If you're a real stickler, you should dry them after each use as well, but I prop mine up in the dish rack to dry, and my boards are still in great shape.

If you use your bamboo boards for meats, it's important to disinfect them after each use. Dissolve one part vinegar in five parts water, and use a sponge to scrub down the board. Rinse and dry as usual. Keep in mind that it's just good practice to reserve one board entirely for meats. You'd hate to cross-contaminate your vegetables (especially if you eat them raw).
- Remove Stains and Odors
From time to time, you may notice vegetable stains setting into the board, which is not a health hazard but can ruin the beauty of the bamboo. To get rid of stains, scrub some coarse salt over the surface of the board with a sponge, then rinse and dry. Odors can also ingrain themselves in the bamboo, which you can resolve by rubbing a paste of baking soda and water over the board before rinsing and drying.

In fact, this is only the second time, with One Direction being the first to take centre stage in 2012.
In an Instagram post on Monday, Cosmopolitan UK's executive editor, Amy Frier, revealed that the interview covers "Brexit, Bake Off, Binaries, and Bernie Sanders - as well as some things not beginning with 'B.'" Jonathan released his debut novel and memoir, Over the Top, in September, where he opened up about his diagnosis as HIV-positive - as well as many other pivotal life moments - for the first time. Since the release of his book, Jonathan has spoken widely about HIV/AIDS - including an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Sunday, World AIDS Day - and has become a staunch advocate for those at-risk and living with HIV. "This is only the beginning," he told Cosmopolitan UK. "I'm quickly realising that there is still so much misunderstanding, so much sensationalising of living with HIV. The stigma and the difficulty around the process of getting treatment is creating that. My work has only really just begun."
Jonathon also speaks about prioritizing himself to avoid burnout, even if it means turning down exciting opportunities that are almost too good to miss. "The other day, Taylor [Swift] and I were making soup and she asked me to go to a Madonna concert with her," he said. "That was the day before my [5 a.m.] flight to London to come here for this shoot and my tour. I knew it would be an amazing experience. But also . . . my nervous system."

Since the release of his book, Jonathan has spoken widely about HIV/AIDS - including an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Sunday, World AIDS Day - and has become a staunch advocate for those at-risk and living with HIV. "This is only the beginning," he told Cosmopolitan UK. "I'm quickly realising that there is still so much misunderstanding, so much sensationalising of living with HIV. The stigma and the difficulty around the process of getting treatment is creating that. My work has only really just begun."
Jonathon also speaks about prioritizing himself to avoid burnout, even if it means turning down exciting opportunities that are almost too good to miss. "The other day, Taylor [Swift] and I were making soup and she asked me to go to a Madonna concert with her," he said. "That was the day before my [5 a.m.] flight to London to come here for this shoot and my tour. I knew it would be an amazing experience. But also . . . my nervous system."

The Mandalorian: Here's the Exact Time Disney+ Releases New Episodes
We get more impatient every week for new episodes of The Mandalorian, so it's important to know what time new episodes come out if you want to be among the very first to watch each episode. Although Disney+ has adopted the weekly release model, it still releases episodes early in the day like typical streaming services.
Each new episode of The Mandalorian drops on Disney+ at exactly 3 a.m. Eastern time on Fridays. While this might seem random at first glance, it actually makes a lot of sense. New episodes are supposed to come out on Fridays, and by holding the release until 3 a.m. Eastern time, it means that it will officially be Friday everywhere in the continental United States by the time they're released; it's midnight on the West Coast when the episodes are released.
As has been noted before, Disney+ is experimenting with a different kind of release schedule than the now-standard streaming schedule. Instead of releasing an entire season at once, with the binge-watch model pioneered by Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, Disney+ is going back to basics. One episode gets released each week, on a specific day of the week (in the case of The Mandalorian and most other Disney+ shows, that day is Friday), until the season is over. It's essentially adapting the old-fashioned mode of watching TV to the streaming age. The only difference, of course, is that these episodes release first thing in the morning, allowing people to watch whenever they want, rather than "airing" during primetime.
The Mandalorian's first season consists of eight episodes. The first episode was available on Disney+'s debut day, Tuesday, Nov. 12, followed by a second episode on Friday, Nov. 15, which moved the show to its usual Friday release date. The season finale is set to start streaming on Friday, Dec. 27. At the moment, there is one more scheduled interruption to the usual "Fridays at 3 a.m." release schedule. Episode 7 will air on Dec. 18, only five days after Episode 6, and there will then be a nine-day wait for the season finale on Dec. 27. One can assume that this is to avoid conflicts with the theatrical release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on Friday, Dec. 20.
