Twitter Users Are Pondering Zara's New Logo, and There Are So Many Things to Say
Who doesn't love Zara? There are so many chic, affordable pieces to shop, and literally everyone gives me compliments when I wear that - WAIT. Did you even see the brand's new logo? The recognizable block letters are suddenly squeezed closer together, a design change made by advertising agency Baron & Baron's French founder, Fabien Baron. The lack of space between the Z, As, and R will hardly discourage us from shopping, but that doesn't mean we're just going to overlook it. In fact, we're having a grand old time reading the many hilarious Tweets customers are posting about the new transformation. Scroll to join in on our giggle fest, and let us know in the comments whether you're all for the revamped graphic, or, alternatively, you feel like you can't breathe while looking at it.
I Love This $37 Comfy Dress So Much, I Wish It Was Acceptable to Wear It Every Single Day
Everyone has a clothing item they'll buy over and over again - mine is dresses. I won't even tell you how many I own. I love a one-and-done outfit that makes me feel polished, and a dress is exactly that. It can be hard to hunt down options that are comfortable enough to wear all day long without adjusting, but I finally discovered my new favorite.
When we got a preview of the POPSUGAR at Kohl's collection February drop, I immediately gravitated toward this Print Tie-Waist Dress ($37, originally $50). I'm a sucker for polka dots, and the neutral colorway leaves plenty of room for playful styling.
The best part? This soft dress is ridiculously comfortable. I would choose this design over a pair of jeans any day. It does run a little big, so I suggest sizing down in this particular piece. I'm wearing a size small, but I typically go for a medium or large. If polka dots aren't your thing, this dress comes in several patterns including cherries and florals.
Read on to see more angles of the dress, then treat yourself to one. It's currently on sale, so you'll be scoring a deal.

Emily Ratajkowski Might Be Wearing the Sexiest Cargo Pants Known to Mankind
Leave it to Emily Ratajkowski to take cargo pants, the one 2019 trend I was psyched about, but admittedly scared to try, and turn them into a hot-ticket item. The supermodel stepped out with her husband, Sebastian, in NYC wearing a pair of Dickies Girl Carpenter Jeans with a thick leather belt, trainers, a crop top, a furry teddy coat, and a Prada bag. Her gold-plated earrings drew attention to the hardware at her waist, only highlighting her curves even more.
While I've always been a fan of high-waisted denim, a tougher, bulkier pair with oversize pockets never presented itself to me as so ridiculously flattering until right now. So thanks, Emrata, for showing a sister how to try these slacks on for size, and maybe even feel sexy and confident while she's at it.
Target Shoppers Say This Cleaning Spray Smells Just Like Anthropologie's Capri Blue Candle
All smell is breaking loose over a certain line of Target cleaning products. Sure, Marie Kondo's Netflix show, Tidying Up, has people rethinking the way they fold clothes and Spring cleaning is top of mind, but these supplies are going out of stock for a different reason: the scent.
According to customers, Target's Smartly Citrus scented dish soap and all-purpose cleaning spray smell very similar to Anthropologie's Capri Blue candle. I am familiar with the candle's dedicated following - my friend would drive an hour away from our college campus just to stock up. Now people are rushing to Target stores and online to pick up some similarly scented supplies.
"Never been so excited to clean," one customer wrote on Instagram. Many shoppers must be feeling the same way, because the all-purpose spray is already sold out online! If you're nose over heels for this scent too, dash to a nearby Target to pick up products of your very own.
Cute Photos of Dogs Playing in the Snow That Will Almost Make You Want to Go Outside
You'll be hard pressed to find a dog who doesn't love sticking their paws in some fresh powder or, at the very least, is curious about the strange frozen ice crystals. To honor these happy animals, we rounded up photos of our furry best friends doing what they do best. Remember, of course, before you take your pup outside, snow, ice, and deicers can be irritating and occasionally even toxic. Consider putting them in dog boots. They're super cute anyway!

These 42 recipes fit the bill; many can be made ahead in their entirety and served at room temperature, while others need only a finishing touch or to be reheated at party time. Nearly all are delightfully decadent.

Kylie Jenner's $10,000 Worth of Postmates Orders Includes a Single Carrot, Grape Jelly, and Pasta
Stars, they're just like us! They order food to avoid going out, which sometimes includes penne pasta, fried rice, and, you know, a single carrot - if you're Kylie Jenner. The reality star spent a whopping $10,000 on Postmates in 2018, Postmates recently revealed in The Receipt, a blog feature that shares celebrities' food-delivery secrets. Kylie placed almost 200 Postmates orders last year, and they ranged from a whole lot of bagels (relatable) to very specific requests, like "three cozy blankets" from Target (also relatable).
As for the carrot, let's give her a break - she wanted to make matzo ball soup, OK? Kylie also satisfied McDonald's cravings seven days before she gave birth to Stormi in February by ordering Oreo McFlurries, 10-piece chicken nuggets, and fries. As for her top 10 most common orders throughout the whole year, there's quite a variety of indulgent foods but also grape jelly . . . not sure what the deal with that one is. Ahead, see each of Kylie's favorite things to order in, and ponder what life would be like if you didn't mind paying delivery fees for a single carrot.
I Live in a Tiny NYC Apartment, and This Trunk Is Helping Me Live Like Marie Kondo
In 2019, I've resolved to get my home organized. But when you live in a very small apartment, keeping things neat and tidy becomes more of a necessity than a general goal. Closet and drawer space are scarce, and I needed someplace to put sweaters, books, and general odds and ends once shelf space was out of the question. In an attempt to Marie Kondo my life, I found this Beautify Storage 2 Piece Trunk Set ($106). And wow, is it a game changer.
My apartment is basically all white, with shades of gray and tan thrown in on occasion, so I wanted something minimal to match my decor. This trunk is just that: pristine white, and the pop of rose gold accent hardware makes it feel luxurious and much more expensive than it actually is. The fact that it comes with two trunks is ideal, because I can separate them into different categories and not get confused about which one I need to open. As an added bonus, next to my couch, it looks like a really chic makeshift end table. These pretty trunks come in four colors, so it'll be easy to find one that looks beautiful in your space, and trust me, you won't know how you lived without the extra storage.

40 Things You Need to Know About The Great British Baking Show
Several seasons of The Great British Baking Show are currently available on Netflix, and if you've never seen the show, it's time to jump in. The UK import may seem like Just Another Cooking Show, but it's not. It's like the Olympics of baking, only more adorable because every competitor is British and instead of gymnastics and swimming there are pies and tarts. The series features 12 amateur bakers who compete over the course of 10 weeks. At the end, all the competitors and their families reunite for a picnic and someone is crowned the winner. (Admit it, this is already the most precious competitive reality show you've ever heard of.)
Fun fact: the show is called The Great British Bake Off in the UK, but Pillsbury has a trademark on the term "Bake-Off" in the US, so they had to tweak the title for us.
Now, before you go down the rabbit hole, here's what you need to know about the show. And note that this information mainly pertains to the first few seasons of the show. It has since moved to a new network, and has different (but equally likeable) hosts!

This Cat and Dog Snuggling While Their Humans Are at Work Is So Cute, My Cold Heart Is Melting
While my boyfriend and I are at work during the day, I get alerts on my phone when there's movement on our pet camera. When I tune in, I normally find one of two things: one of my cats slinking by the camera on her way to or from the litter box, or the pair of them tumbling around, wrestling to the death (it's usually the latter). When Brenna Eckert, who has two dogs and two cats, tunes into her home's pet camera during the day, she finds a very different thing: her cat Kelvin and dog Joule snuggling on the couch together for the entire eight hours their humans are gone.
The pet mom posted a video of the cat and dog duo to Reddit after realizing that this is how her furry friends spend their days, and the amount of people now obsessed and in love with her pets is overwhelming. Brenna also shares videos on her pets' Instagram account, where you can really dive into Kelvin and Joule's deep bond.
However, their love for each other is really only apparent in the daytime, so without the pet camera, Brenna may have never found out about their close relationship. "Joule had a lot of anxiety when we first adopted her," Brenna told The Dodo. "We worked one-on-one with a dog behaviorist to help work through some of her issues. She is certainly a Velcro dog. When we are home she always needs to be close to us."
But when the humans aren't home, Kelvin is who Joule leans on for support.
"We noticed that Kelvin and Joule were laying on the couch together almost every day," Brenna said. "I moved the camera to get a closer view of the couch and was amazed to see that they weren't just sharing the couch, but they were snuggling up against each other . . . They only snuggle with each other like this when we are not around. If we are home, Joule wants to be with us, so she basically ignores the cat."
See some of Kelvin and Joule's cutest videos and photos ahead.

Summer Fridays' New R+R Mask Will Soothe Dry Winter Skin
Calling a face mask beautiful can be perceived as dramatic, but Summer Fridays deserves every ounce of enthusiasm for its dreamy new mask.
To test the Summer Fridays R+R Mask ($52), I twisted open the rose-gold tube and gently dispensed the clear gel, which contains suspended exfoliating sugar crystals and rose petals. I slicked it onto my skin, felt it soothe and comfort my irritated dry patches, and set my timer to ten minutes. I used that time to read through its ingredients list, and found that its formula is actually more gorgeous than its Instagrammable packaging. The gel was a combination of gentle AHAs (for exfoliation), Vitamin C (for brightening), and various oils (to moisturize and soften). It's free of the bad stuff, including phthalates. I washed it off and found my skin visibly brighter and incredibly smooth. It doesn't get more beautiful than that.
Kiss Chapped Winter Lips Goodbye With These 15 Lip Balms
If we could only pick one Winter beauty product, we'd pick lip balm. Why? Because chapped lips are unequivocally the worst, and lip balms aren't just for your lips. Most of them can be used for dry cuticles or other dry patches you tend to get in the cold weather. Which means this is one product you're going to want to have everywhere, at home, in your purse, at your desk, in your car, etc. Wondering where to start? These are our 15 favorites.
Ariana Grande Had the Best Response to Fans Pointing Out She Misspelled Her Tattoo
Ariana Grande's new tattoo, two Japanese characters placed on the palm of her hand, made its debut on the megastar's Instagram on Tuesday, but the new ink had an error. Instead of spelling out "7 Rings," the characters described a small barbecue grill.
Grande responded to fans who pointed out the mistake with a series of tweets that have since been deleted, which read, "Indeed, I left out 'つの指,' which should have gone in between. It hurt like f*ck n still looks tight. I wouldn't have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won't last so if I miss it enough I'll suffer thru the whole thing next time." She then followed up with, "also...huge fan of tiny bbq grills."
To that we say, we're fans of them too, along with this incredible reply.
These Conversation Heart Bath Bombs Are So Much Better Than the Real Thing
While conversation hearts might not be the tastiest Valentine's Day candy, they certainly are the most iconic. Those little chalky tokens of affection are something many of us grew up eating every year, but Avon figured out a much better use for them.
The brand just debuted the Avon Conversation Bath Bombs ($7), which come in a pack of three and say BFF (a lemon-mint scent), #Love (lemon mint), and Be Mine (pomegranate berry). Whether you decide to share them with a special someone, pass them to your best friend, or treat yourself to some affection this Valentine's Day, we know you'll love these adorable hearts. Check out more images of the bath bombs ahead.

You're Going to Fall Head Over Heels For Kylie Cosmetics' Valentine's Day Collection
Kylie Jenner has long mastered the too-cute holiday-themed makeup game with her Christmas, Halloween, and now Valentine's Day collections.

Fans will be impressed by the array of shades in the Pressed Powder Palette, Roses Are Red Glitter Eye, and Crush Blush, and will want to collect the three Lip Kits: The Love Set, The Soulmate Set, and The Forever Set. Each one is consistent in quality with previous collections and can create quite the sparkly date-night look. Check out images of the products, swatches, and what I look like in the makeup, ahead. 9 Goat Milk Soaps to Keep Your Skin Soft and Hydrated
If you've been struggling with dry, itchy skin, bouts of eczema or psoriasis, or just ultrasensitive skin, consider switching your soap to one made with goat's milk. The pH of the milk is close to that of your skin, making it gentle enough for even the most delicate complexions. Even more impressive is that the natural alpha hydroxy acids in the soap are perfect for sloughing away pore-clogging dry skin, and the fat content will keep your skin plump and moisturized. Ahead, you'll find some of the best goat milk soaps on the market that you can stock in your shower now.
Madonna Shows Off the Perfect Hairstyle For Traveling
Madonna has been an authority on beauty for decades and never fails to be on top of trends. It's only natural that the globe-trotting material girl would have the best intel on skincare products, hairstyles, and makeup around. Lately, the pop star has been spotted wearing an unexpected and easy hairstyle while at the airport: braids. Not only does the style keep her hair from damage while she sleeps on the airplane (does Madonna sleep?), but it also provides a no-heat wavy hairstyle for when she gets off her flight and removes her braids. You can see the star's waves two days later when she arrived in London.
Check out the photos ahead.
This Simple Trick Will Ensure You Actually Remember to Apply Lash Serum Twice a Day
We put our lashes through a lot: coating them in mascara, curling them, sticking on falsies, and frequently rubbing at them with makeup remover and cleanser. This does damage over time, and lashes, like hair, need conditioning to look their best. There are so many eyelash and brow serums on the market now designed for this purpose, and we've seen that some can deliver truly incredible results, with lashes growing much stronger and longer. But they require patience and frequent application: you'll only get luscious lashes if you studiously apply the serum morning and night for at least a month . . . something that's easier said than done when you're already applying a ton of other products on the regular.
A lash technician recently let us in on a simple trick that helps her to ensure clients are really looking after their lashes in between treatments. Instead of keeping the serum on a shelf or vanity loaded with makeup and skincare products, she suggested putting it in your toothbrush holder instead. Then, every time you go to brush your teeth, you'll be reminded to give your lashes (and brows) a sweep of serum too. This should ensure that even the most forgetful among us manage the two applications a day that are needed for good results. Sweep it on before you start brushing your teeth, and it will have dried by the time you're done, ready for the next step in your beauty regimen.
If you have lash extensions, check with your technician as to whether lash serum will work with those falsies. Some products are safe for lash extensions, like Nouveau Lash & Brow Conditioning Serum ($33), but others contain oils that may break up the bonds in your lashes. Aftercare varies hugely depending on the type of lashes you've had applied, so always trust in experts, not the product packaging. Most serums are designed to be applied to bare lashes, and this will give you the best results.
The Bratz Makeup Trend Is Sweeping Instagram Right Now, and We Are Confused
If Instagram existed in 2001, photos of Bratz dolls would have filled our Explore feeds. They had street style that was always on-trend, experimented with bold shades of eye shadow, and wore the most attention-grabbing, high-shine lip gloss.
Maybe that's what revived the trend of re-creating the Bratz-inspired beauty looks with the hashtag #BratzChallenge. The pictures range from faces painted with colors inspired by the authentic doll to full-on illustrations of its enlarged eyes and lips. To some, the looks may provoke a pleasant sense of nostalgia, while others may ask why this is a trend (considering the exaggerated features don't quite fit on, erm, human faces).
Ahead, see people take on the #BratzChallenge.
7 Things Women of Color Need to Know About Skin Cancer
Misconceptions abound when it comes to skin of color - particularly on the topic of skin cancer. Should people with darker skin be concerned? Scan a few subreddits and you're bound to find ongoing debates on whether or not people of color need to wear sunscreen on a regular basis. Hell, it even came up on an episode of This Is Us. And then of course there is the eternal issue of finding a sunscreen that actually works on darker skin - one that won't smear into a chalky mess.
The levels to this discussion are endless, but ask any dermatologist, including the two we spoke to here, if women of color should check and protect against skin cancer, and the resounding consensus is yes. While it's true that the natural melanin produced by darker skin tones does offer some UV protection, there are still other factors that shouldn't be ignored. Here's what you should know.

6 Things I Wish I'd Known Before Getting Microbladed
Last September, I got microbladed for the sake of journalism. Since the video hit the internet, it's generated millions of views and thousands of comments. The service sounds like a godsend: with a few cuts of a knife, you'll wake up each morning with perfectly coiffed, full, and filled brows.
This is a relatively new service that differs significantly from tattooed makeup of the past: the look emulates actual brow hairs and the color matches better, too. Instead of a tattoo gun, superficial cuts are created and filled with ink.
This treatment is hands down the one I'm asked most about. How long does it last? What's the cost? Does it hurt? There wasn't much information about the process or the procedure when I had this done in 2016. Here are a few things I wish I'd known ahead of my appointment - things I think will help out anyone looking to get it done themselves.
1. It doesn't hurt, but there's a catch
Any good technician will numb your skin before your procedure after they map out your brows so you're happy. For me, it felt like tiny paper cuts. You can feel the blade, but it's more annoying than painful. The sound was more off-putting than anything. After the numbing cream wears off, your brow area with ache and feel sore. I took an ibuprofen to help with the pain.
2. You can't wash your face properly for a week
After you get your brows done, you can't wash them for a week straight. (Cue the screams.) I know, it's weird - and extremely difficult, especially if you wear makeup. I know what you're thinking. "Don't wear makeup!" That isn't an option, unfortunately, as I have to wear at least a little bit for my work on camera.
I used a foaming face wipes to remove my makeup, and although I'm not the biggest fan of wipes in general, they got the job done. Q-tips were used to remove liner and mascara, and when showering, it's imperative you face away from the shower head - the right way, in my opinion - to wash your hair and body. (Duh.) The point is that your cuts will scab over and fall off, and if they're constantly saturated with water, that will affect the process.
3. It's itchy as hell.
The process is very much like a prison tattoo. (Or at least the ones depicted in movies.) They cut the skin with the blade and fill it with ink and wipe it away. Then the scab sheds, scabs over again, and sheds again. This makes your brows itchy, but you're not allowed to pick off dead skin or itch them, which, as you can guess, can drive a person insane. I spent many of my days patting my brows, similar to patting a weave, and getting concerned looks from my coworkers.
They give you ointment if your brows get too itchy. I used it once. They don't suggest using it regularly because your brows need to be dry to scab. Also, expect your brows to be several shades darker than you expected for the first couple of weeks due to the scabs. After a month, your brows should have shed a few times and will look closer to your natural brow hair shade.
4. The second appointment is nonnegotiable
Microblading is expensive. Costs can start at $800 here in Los Angeles; the most in-demand technicians and salons charge anywhere between $1,500 to $2,000 for one appointment. Usually, though, the cost will include a follow-up appointment about six to eight weeks later, but be sure to ask your technician since it varies everywhere.
It's important to note that you absolutely need the second appointment. It shouldn't be a "follow-up;" it should be the second half of your appointment. The technician will hit any areas they might have missed due to swelling. If you avoid this appointment, you could have scarce areas, and you might not be happy with the final shape of your brows. I suggest booking your second appointment before you leave your first.
5. It improved my morning routine
To be honest, I'm not 100 percent happy with the way my brows look! I do like that my bald spots are gone, but I still fill them in with powder or a pencil. That said, I struggled with my brows prior to getting microbladed and now I spend two minutes or less on them in the morning since the shape is already there, and that's a huge win. It's been a year, and I was told they could last anywhere between a year to three years, depending on my skin type. I'm oily in my T-zone, which means two things: the pigment is there, but they don't look like hair strokes anymore. They've faded slightly, and the strokes have blended together. It doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look as natural.
Overall, it's important that you manage your expectations when it comes to your brows. Know that they won't be 100 percent perfect. If you normally have to tint your brows, chances are you will still have to do so even after getting microbladed.
6. How to find a reputable artist
When I did this, microblading was just becoming a trend. It was not difficult to find a technician because so few people were doing it. I went to Microblading LA because I had seen a few celebrities went there, and I loved the results I had seen on Instagram. Now there are so many people taking courses to become microblading technicians because it's a lucrative business. The thing is, government regulations vary by state when it comes to becoming certified. For example, in Los Angeles, you must complete a three-hour blood-borne pathogens training, be registered with the Los Angeles County Environmental Health-Body Art Program, and have Hep B vaccination status, and then you can sign up for a microblading class at places like Microblading LA. When looking for a trained professional, ask them if they have their public health license or are registered and have them show you that documentation.
Here's what I'd suggest you do when looking for a microblading artist in your area:
- Get on Yelp and read reviews. A place with more reviews means they've had more experience. Keep that in mind.
- Look up their Instagram. A good artist will show you before and after photos, but be careful. Oftentimes people will steal photos in order to build their clientele.
- Ask for their license and where they got trained. The most important thing is to make sure they're licensed. If they said they were trained by a certain school, call the school and ask what their requirements are for class. Most schools or academies will require the technician to get their license ahead of the training. If they don't, that might be a red flag.
Ultimately, all of these things were manageable, and I am happy with my results. I would definitely do it again, having already been through it once. I'm looking into my next touch-up so I can maintain my filled-in brows.

Salmon Sperm Is (Allegedly) the Key to Smooth, Perfect-Looking Skin
Another day, another weird subject line floats into my inbox. From doctors pleading with the public to not use Lush's new eggplant bath bomb as a sex toy to toe astrology, a lot of interesting pitches land in my email.
Peach & Lily, the brand who creates a serum I would fight to the death for - the Glass Skin Refining Serum - wanted to let me know that, "Salmon sperm is the next big thing. Here's why." Kudos to them, because there is no way anyone is not clicking that headline. Last week, the retailer sold out of a product that includes salmon DNA derived from its sperm. While they wait for a restock of the full-size product, they announced there is a 20-capsule refill pack available for the time being. (That refill is now also out of stock.)
Hearing that salsperm (as I'm going to call it) sold out and people are actually demanding a restock piqued my interests, as did the before and afters. Here's everything you need to know: the brand Shangpree, sold on Peach & Lily, created the Marine Jewel Caspule. It retails for $135 and includes 30 capsules, which look very similar to ceramide capsules you might get from Prevage or Elemis. Inside they contain a variety of oils, algae, and Royal Jelly to help calm inflammation, firm, and hydrate the skin - and which is, apparently, secreted by worker bees for queen bees so that, and I quote, "queen bees can thrive." I'm a queen and I would like to thrive, thanks. Sign me right up. Plus. it contains phytosphingosine, a fatty alcohol which is a water-biding ingredient that helps compromised skin. (I mean, Paula's Choice rates it as "best" on the ingredient scale. Enough said.) Have they sold you yet? No?
The ingredient they tout as the "star" of this fish fry called Sodium DNA. This ingredient is derived from DNA extracted from salmon sperm. Read: it's not the salmon sperm itself, which makes me feel a lot better about the fact that I plan on getting these capsules and slathering them all over my face. The description further explained that this ingredient in particular is trending in Korea because it gives the skin resiliency and strengthens it. I predict we'll see a slew of salsperm products popping up in the US soon, just on the basis that it's a huge ingredient in Korea.
And good news: if you thought this product would smell fishy, Shanpree said it doesn't. In fact, it smells floral. Delightful. The only downside is this isn't a vegan product, as you may have guessed.
Initially reading this email, I was horrified. But doing some research, I now fully want to get this product and test it for myself - it looks gorgeous, the ingredients seem legit, and the before and afters I saw were jaw-dropping. I don't tout these before and afters as photos only I'm privy to seeing, it's just that the images sent to me are extremely low resolution. I'm working on getting better options for you, trust me. Like I mentioned, though, the Marine Jewel Capsule is currently sold out, including the refill packs. Your only options are to pay hefty shipping fees by purchasing the product at Harrods or to sign up for the wait list.
