Dolce & Gabbana Takes You to the Tropics, Covered in Lace, Sequins, and Opulence
It's never about one piece, or one outfit at Dolce & Gabbana. The Spring '17 show will tell you that much - a parade of opulence - sequins, megawatt prints, fringe, and endless embellishment packed into every look. True to form, this runway, too, was a spectacle that began and ended with a dance on the catwalk. To be fair, the clothes would make you want to dance, too. The range of suiting, sheer black lace dresses - a sexy signature of the brand - and jewels on everything from pencil skirts and turbans to jeans, is all playfully ornate, classically over-the-top. The fun surprises come in the form of cheeky new prints - fish, ice cream cones, and pasta - that overwhelm you with the notion that dressing should be fun.
