Laurie Hernandez totally nailed her debut performance on season 23 of Dancing With the Stars.
The 16-year-old Olympian, who took home both a gold and a silver medal at the Games in Rio, is off to a solid start in her quest for the coveted mirror ball trophy alongside her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, after a wow-worthy cha cha set to Bonnie Mckee's "American Girl."
Not only was it the perfect song choice for Team USA's youngest powerhouse, but Laurie embraced the moves like the floor routines that gave her the nickname "Baby Shakira," completely blowing the crowd - and the judges! - away.
