Ryan Lochte on His Rio Scandal: "I Reached the Lowest Point of My Entire Life"

After making headlines with his controversial Rio robbery scandal, Ryan Lochte opened about his 10-month suspension from swimming for the first time during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday. "I reached the lowest point of my entire life, that I would never thought I would go to," the Dancing With the Stars contestant told the host. Even though he went to a "really dark place" after the Olympics, he explained that he was lucky to have the support of his family and friends, including fellow Olympian Michael Phelps. "I reached out to him because I knew he hit a low point in his life and he bounced back from it," he said of the gold medalist. "I knew his answer was gonna be really honest because of our relationship over the years." Hear his heartfelt advice in the video above and then get the first look at Ryan in costume for DWTS.
