This Colorful Picture of Mercury Is So Pretty You'll Want It on a T-Shirt
It feels like every few weeks, NASA releases another spellbinding, celestial picture that makes us feel really, really small. A recent trending photo of Mercury is currently having that effect on us.
Three years ago, in February 2013, NASA captured a hypnotizing photograph of Mercury during the Messenger's primary mission to become the first spacecraft to orbit Mercury, which it successfully accomplished. The picture, though very beautiful, does not represent how Mercury might look to the human eye. Instead, the photo was enhanced to reflect the different elements that make up the planet's surface.
Given how awe-inspiring it is, we can understand why it's currently trending on Reddit even though it's a bit old.
