Um, Did Scream Queens Just Re-Create an Iconic Twilight Scene?

Taylor Lautner will forever be known for his role as Jacob Black in Twilight, and even Ryan Murphy knows it. During the season two premiere of Scream Queens, the show seemed to be poking fun at the famous franchise with one simple scene. It starts when Lautner's character, an attractive young doctor named Dr. Cassidy Cascade, accidentally brushes arms with Zayday (Keke Palmer) in the hospital. Although the action seems innocent, she quickly remarks that his skin is cold to the touch.
Even though they're not making fun of Lautner's previous character, the scene has a striking similarity to Bella Swan's infamous encounter with Edward Cullen in the first Twilight film. His response? "I run cold" - and the vampire references don't end there. When Zayday compares his skin to a block of ice, Lautner retorts by giving his best tortured soul impression. "I envy ice," he croons. "At least if you give it warmth, it melts." So, is Murphy just having a little fun with the writing, or is he actually foreshadowing that the doctor is a bloodsucker? He did include vampires in American Horror Story: Hotel so it's not completely out of the question. Guess we will just have to wait to find out!
