Another day, another relic from your childhood going away. On Feb. 1, Club Penguin confirmed it will be shutting down its desktop and mobile app and instead introduce the app Club Penguin Island. People, or rather "penguins," as players are called in the game, did not take the news well at all.
The game is shutting down on March 29, after existing for 11 years. Don't know what Club Penguin is? It's a game like Neopets, where users can visit other worlds as a penguin. People absolutely loved the game, which explains the many reactions and memes of those who are devastated the game is going away.
