Announcing the 2017 Spirit Award Winners!
The winners of the Independent Spirit Awards are in! The show historically takes place the night before the Oscars and is the last major show to indicate which films could win big at the Academy Awards. This year, Moonlight swept the show, taking home six awards - one for every category it was nominated in. The film's editor, Joi McMillon, even made history as the first black woman to win the award for best editing. Meanwhile, Molly Shannon revived a classic SNL character while accepting her award for best supporting female for Other People. Check out all the winners below!
