Charlie Hunnam opened up once again on Friday about his decision to walk away from Fifty Shades of Grey back in 2013. He was originally cast as Christian Grey (ahem, we understand why), but he ended up dropping the role, a decision he doesn't regret. As Hunnam explained during his appearance on This Morning, he put a lot of thought into that choice and feels Jamie Dornan was meant to play the part. "With work, I'm very labored and take a long time and it creates a lot of anxiety making these big decisions," he said. "But once I've made the decision, I'm very disciplined about never looking back."
This isn't the first time Hunnam has talked about dropping out of the franchise. In a 2015 interview with V Man, he called it "the worst professional experience" of his life, adding, "It was the most emotionally destructive and difficult thing that I've ever had to deal with professionally. It was heartbreaking." He explained that it had more to do with his schedule and his personal life than anything else. "There was a lot of personal stuff going on in my life that left me on real emotional shaky ground and mentally weak," he said. "I just got myself so f*cking overwhelmed and I was sort of having panic attacks about the whole thing."
So listen, if you're a diehard Hunnam fan who's still a little sad that he didn't suit up as Christian, well, here's a consolation: a supersexy, NSFW celebration of Hunnam's backside. You're welcome!
