Forget That La La Land Snafu - These Movies Didn't Even Get 1 Oscar This Year
All the Oscar headlines may be about how La La Land was mistakenly awarded best picture when Moonlight was the actual winner in the category, but perhaps we need to take a beat and stop feeling sorry for La La Land, which still went home with six Oscars. The real bummer is for the movies that went home totally empty-handed this year. There were so many good movies in 2016, as evidenced by the nine best picture nominees, and there were so many incredible movies that got no recognition on Sunday night.
