Hillary Clinton Made a Style Power Move You Should Try Next
On Thursday, Hillary Clinton spoke at Oscar de la Renta's Forever Stamp Ceremony at Grand Central Terminal's Vanderbilt Hall in NYC. The series of US Postal Service stamps for 2017 commemorate the famous designer, who passed away in 2014.
The former secretary of state and Democratic presidential nominee spoke fondly of the late designer, saying, "Oscar de la Renta was an immigrant . . . and aren't we proud and grateful that he was." She recalled memories she'd shared with him, including traveling with him to his native Dominican Republic for humanitarian work. Clinton was close to the designer, attending the CFDA Awards with him and wearing his designs to a number of events, including her husband's second inaugural ball.
For her speech, Clinton wore a bright fuchsia pantsuit (her signature look) with bold gold accessories. Her outfit included a large, gold statement necklace that we can't take our eyes off of - fittingly, the feminist icon wore a statement necklace while making a bold political statement about a remarkable immigrant. This is a power style move we're going to remember.
