Hysterical Student Responses to a Superintendent's Snow Day Tweet Are Going Viral
Last month the Cherokee County School District in Georgia went viral for its Twitter responses to students disappointed over there not being a snow day - now the opposite exchange has happened after a snow day announcement for the Bethlehem Area School District in Pennsylvania. Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Joseph Roy, tweeted on Thursday night, "BASD schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, Feb 9, 2017" - within minutes, students were worshiping him.
Roy's daughter, Jessica, a news editor at New York Magazine's The Cut, tweeted shortly after her dad to say, "It's time for my favorite thing about snow days: teens replying to my dad about school being canceled," and her tweet only escalated the hysterical situation.
