How did Denzel Washington and his wife of 33 years, Pauletta Washington, spend their Valentine's Day? With Jimmy Kimmel, of course. The Fences actor sat down to chat with the late-night host on Tuesday, who asked how he and Pauletta's first date had gone. Although she wouldn't come out on stage to confirm, Denzel launched into an adorable (and hilarious) story about how poor Pauletta had to foot the cab fare their first time out together since he'd spent all of his money on their dinner. Luckily it all worked out, though their wedding day also hit a minor bump. "We were shaking so many hands and taking pictures they ran out of food," he laughed, revealing that they ended up having to eat at a diner instead of their reception. "We had eggs or something at the diner. True story."
