The Afterlife Is Real in Netflix's Intense New Sci-Fi Film, The Discovery
On Wednesday, Netflix released the trailer for an upcoming original film called The Discovery. Starring Rooney Mara, Jason Segel, and Robert Redford, the story features a society in which the afterlife has been confirmed by scientific research. As a result, millions and millions of people have begun committing suicide in an effort to "get there" faster. With strong echoes of Netflix's recent mind-melt, The OA, it's sure to be a wild ride.
