The Genius Shoe Move Viola Davis Planned For the Vanity Fair Afterparty
When you're a celeb attending the Oscars, you'll likely spend more than six hours in your shoes. There's the red carpet, the actual show, then the afterparties. That's why it's always best to have a backup - a safety shoe if you will - just in case the heels become too painful. For Viola Davis, that would be a pair of creepers. Right after winning an Oscar for best supporting actress in Fences, the star switched out her red Stuart Weitzman pumps for a pair of YRU sneakers backstage, and we absolutely loved that.
Comfort over everything seemed to be Viola's motto for the rest of the night. She attended the Vanity Fair's Oscars afterparty in a tailored Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit and wore a second pair of metallic creepers by Stella McCartney. The star was so excited about her shoes, she couldn't stop showing them off in photos on the Vanity Fair carpet. It seems Viola has struck gold twice with her Oscar win and sneakers.
