These Moms Breastfeeding During the Women's Marches Are the Definition of Nasty Women
On Donald Trump's first full day as president, hundreds of thousands of men and women united in protest by participating in the Women's Marches across the country and world to stand up for women's rights. However, some of the moms in attendance took it a step further by demonstrating exactly how incredible their bodies are while fighting for those basic rights. These moms brought their little ones to these peaceful protests, and when their babies got hungry, they proudly breastfed among strangers united by common causes.
Like many empowered moms who shared breastfeeding snapshots from the marches in an effort to normalize breastfeeding, model Tess Holliday posted her own photo from the Women's March in Los Angeles. After critics slammed the new mom for not covering up as she nursed her baby boy, Bowie, Tess updated her caption in defense of breastfeeding moms. "I will feed my child anywhere I want," she wrote. "Also, California state law protects me to do so. Keep your uneducated opinions off my body."
Check out other incredible women nourishing their babies throughout the historic day.
