This DIY Tween Spa Party Would Make Even a Grown Woman Jealous
For every girl (or adult) who likes to be pampered, this DIY spa birthday party is straight out of their dreams. For Ally's 11th birthday bash, something surrounding beauty was a must for this tween, but her mom, Jenny Keller of Jenny Cookies, managed to create an afternoon that was so much more than any preteen could imagine.
"I figured these girls are headed to middle school next year so what a great opportunity to teach them some daily skin care and hygiene regimes in a fun setting," Jenny wrote on her blog. "Less princess makeover, more real-life skills that are age-appropriate."
After settling on a color palette of blush, black, white, and green, Jenny incorporated swan accents, fresh flowers, and delicate desserts throughout the party. At the center of the room, Ally's closest friends were able to sit around a table set for facials and skincare lessons before hair tutorials and rich treats from a breathtaking dessert table.
