This Sailor Moon Sheet Mask Smells Just Like Tuxedo Mask's Roses
I never thought that being a Sailor Moon fan would pay off at work, but when the beauty world fell head over heels for products inspired by the series, I volunteered as tribute faster than Katniss Everdeen hyped up on espresso. First, I put Sailor Moon liquid eyeliner to the test . . . then I discovered sheet masks from the same line.
As a self-professed mask addict, I snatched a pack of the Creer Beaute Miracle Romance sheet masks up as soon as I spotted them at Candy Doll Beauty in San Francisco. I was unable to read any of the ingredients on the Japanese-language packaging, but I was willing to risk it in order to feel like a Sailor Scout - or Sailor Senshi, for other series purists like myself - for 20-30 minutes!

Luckily, after purchasing the masks, I learned that they contain a soothing combination of primrose oil, avocado extract, vitamin B3, katsuma flower extract, prune extract, hyaluronic acid, and collagen - none of which irritate my sensitive skin. Evening primrose oil lends the skin beneficial fatty acids that can aid with skin care issues like acne and dry patches, and the collagen element of the masks helps fight wrinkles. I thought "sign me the hell up!" as soon as I saw the translated ingredient list.
In a cute nod to Tuxedo Mask, the mask sheets are rose-scented. The light fragrance isn't some afterthought buried by chemical aromas, like plenty of other masks I've tried. After half an hour with one of the sheets on my face (in a bubble bath with Sailor Moon playing on my laptop, obviously) my skin not only smelled like Tuxedo Mask's favorite flower; it felt petal-soft, too.
There is a problematically named "whitening and brightening" version of Creer Beaute's mask that focuses on complexion, but I would highly recommend the moisturizing version pictured in this post. They're a little tough to track down if you don't have easy access to Asian-import beauty stores, but thanks to eBay you can get your hands on the sheet mask sets (prices vary) if you're willing to pay international shipping.
Read on for pictures of the mask, then let me know which Sailor Moon product you want to see in action next!
