Victoria Beckham Wore a Purple Wedding Dress You Might Not Remember
No one could forget the royal purple outfits that David and Victoria Beckham wore to their 1999 wedding reception. Victoria's gown was encrusted with large flowers over her shoulder and incorporated a large slit. She paired her look with metallic lace-up sandals.
David recently commented on the bold coordinated looks in an interview on the British radio show Desert Island Discs. Although he had nothing but glowing things to say about his wife, he does wish he had chosen a more subdued look. "Victoria's was nice . . . I looked like one of the guys out of Dumb and Dumber when they went to that party. I even had a top hat. Unbelievable. What was I thinking?"
Regardless of David's regrets about his own style choices, we are in complete agreement about one thing: Victoria's dress was certainly fun, and as time did tell, purple is absolutely her color.
