After Being Told His Daughter Couldn't Fly, This Dad Was Saved By a Stranger

Every parent can agree that traveling with kids can be torture but sometimes a stranger can make your travel experience a little less miserable.

When this dad purchased a plane ticket for himself months ago, he was under the impression that his 1-year-old daughter could fly for free because of the airline's 1 and under policy. Unfortunately when he went to check in for his flight, the employee asked him how old his daughter was, and he answered that she had turned two in January. The dad was "hit with emotion" upon learning that he'd now have to buy his daughter a ticket in order for her to be able to board the plane.

A stranger who witnessed the situation unfold posted the story on Love What Matters Facebook page, where thousands of people have been blown away by his airport experience. "He mentioned he couldn't afford to rebook this flight or get her the ticket with such short notice," the post reads. "He stepped aside and tried to make a few calls. Hugging his daughter and grabbing his head, you could tell he was heartbroken."

But after witnessing the entire situation at the check-in counter, another stranger stepped in to lend her kind heart and her credit card. The post explains that the woman spoke to this dad and his daughter and eventually they walked back to the counter together where she bought the young girl's ticket. She was aware of the $749 price and insisted on making the purchase.

"The agent kept talking about her goosebumps while the man hugged the woman and asked for her name to repay her," the post said. "The woman just kept saying, 'Don't worry about it.' She knew she wanted to help that man and his daughter no matter what the cost."

This incredibly selfless human is warming the hearts of people all over the world. After being posted on the Facebook page, users recognized her as a woman named Debbie, who "is genuinely a kind, giving, and caring person who wants to change the world," as one of her employees wrote. It's unquestionably generous people like Debbie who are restoring our faith in humanity.
