E.L.F. Is Launching Its First New Highlighter Shade in 6 Years - and It's Gorgeous
If you haven't used E.L.F.'s Baked Highlighter, your cheekbones have been missing out on one of (if not the) best drugstore illuminators. The baked pigment is a cult favorite thanks to its rich color payoff and affordable price point.
Now, for the first time in six years, the brand is extending its Baked Highlighter range with a new shade called Apricot Glow - and we have an exclusive look! We caught up with Global Artistic Director Achelle Richards-Dunaway, who shared that the extension came to life because E.L.F.'s fans specifically requested an apricot iteration of its famous highlighter. The fan request isn't too surprising, considering the peach color palette is one of the season's hottest trends.
Unlike E.L.F.'s existing mauve- and pearl-toned highlighters, Apricot Glow will give your cheekbones a potent golden shine, similar to those trending on Instagram. Its color payoff is just as luminous as the original Baked Highlighters, and it can also be intensified with a damp brush or a spritz of E.L.F.'s Makeup Mist and Set ($3) setting spray.
The new shade launches on April 4 at elfcosmetics.com for $4, and we'll definitely be adding it to our Spring makeup lineup when it drops. But while you wait, read ahead for a closer look at Apricot Glow and to see it swatched on different skin tones.
