Everything You Need to Know About Logan, Hugh Jackman's Final X-Men Movie
It's time for another X-Men film, folks! Then again, if you've seen the trailer for Logan, you know it's anything but a typical mutant movie. Now that the movie has arrived in theaters, it's time for a rundown on all the info we have. Take a look below to find out about the cast, plot, poster, teaser, and everything else!
The Cast and Plot
Hugh Jackman is back for one final time as the title character, aka Wolverine. The film is set years after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past, in a future nearly void of mutants. Logan and Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart) are still around, and must team up to protect Laura, a young mutant (Dafne Keen). In the comic books, Laura is Logan's clone-daughter, also referred to as X-23. Whether the movie will follow the exact events of the books, we don't yet know.
The Villain
The main antagonist is Donald Pierce, the leader of the "Reavers," a team of cyborgs who have been hunting mutants and have it out for Logan. He's being portrayed by Boyd Holbook, who you may know as the lead of Netflix's drug cartel series, Narcos.
The Violence
Logan received an R-rating for "strong brutal violence and language throughout, and for brief nudity." We can confirm: it's incredibly violent, so if Wolverine claws through the jaw doesn't sound like something you want to see, maybe you should skip this one.
The Trailer
Set to Johnny Cash's "Hurt," the trailer shows a movie that seems to be much darker than anything the X-Men franchise has attempted before. A few other trailers have also been released.
The Poster
The Release Date
Logan hits theaters on March 3.
