Kate McKinnon Completely Transforms During a Very Short SNL Commercial Break
After five years on Saturday Night Live, Kate McKinnon is basically an old pro at this point. Every week, the hilarious star transforms into some of pop culture's most well-known figures, including Hillary Clinton and Attorney General Jeff Sessions, as well as some fictional characters, including an alien abductee and a mermaid named Shud. While Kate's comedic timing and facial expressions make every line hilarious, her makeup is also a key part of bringing everything together. In a video from the show's March 11 episode, Kate is seen exiting the stage after portraying Sessions on "Weekend Update" and heading straight for the makeup chair to be turned into Shud. Since the crew only has a short commercial break to make it all happen, their attention to detail in the incredibly fast-paced environment is so impressive. Watch the Rough Night star's transformation take place in just four minutes in the video above.
