OITNB's Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli Are Married
It's official: Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli are married. The Orange Is the New Black stars tied the knot in a small ceremony in Palm Springs on Saturday afternoon, Martha Stewart Weddings confirms. The duo wore gorgeous gowns by designer Christian Siriano, and the nuptials were planned and designed by Beth Helmstetter Events and included a confetti-themed bash as part of the couple's mutual affection for Pillsbury Funfetti cake. Samira's parents officiated the ceremony, and according to the magazine, their wedding recessional song was "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan and their reception entrance jam was Justin Bieber's "Baby."
The pair first got together in 2014, and Samira announced her engagement to Lauren with an adorable Instagram photo back in October. In the February issue of Out, Samira opened up about their "magical" engagement story, saying she was preparing for the couple's trip to Palm Springs when Lauren came home and asked her to sit next to her. Congrats to the newlyweds!
