This Mermaid Palette Isn't a Shellfish Purchase - You'll Donate to a Good Cause
There have been a lot of mermaid-inspired beauty products to hit the market lately, but indie brand KG Beauty's newest launch isn't just a pretty pick: it gives back to its source of inspiration.
KG Beauty's The Mermaid Palette ($36), which is currently available for preorder, donates $1 from each purchase to The Marine Mammal Center. This nonprofit veterinary research hospital and educational center is based in Sausalito, California, and is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of ill and injured marine mammals.
If that tidbit alone doesn't inspire you to snap up this palette, here's what you need to know about it. The outside is wrapped in a sparkly scale-themed print, and when you open it, you'll see a beautiful illustration of a mermaid as well as nine eye shadows. Each is cleverly named (Call Me on My Shell Phone and Vitamin Sea are examples) and richly pigmented.
