Where Did Bruno Mars Grow Up?
This past year as basically been Bruno Mars mania, and we can't get enough. With a catchy new album and a world tour underway, we find ourselves wanting to know more and more about him - while we are loving his sweet relationship with model and actress Jessica Caban, we are also curious about his family roots. The singer, whose real name is Peter Gene Hernandez, is pretty outspoken about his Latino heritage, but where did he grow up? Well, he actually helms from Hawaii! In October 1985, he was born in Honolulu to a father of Puerto Rican descent and a mother from the Philippines. After graduating high school, he moved to LA to pursue a music career, and the rest is history!
