Why Jake Gyllenhaal Says He's "Never Allowed Back" at Ryan Reynolds's House
This month, POPSUGAR sat down with Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal to chat about their new sci-fi thriller, Life, at the South by Southwest festival and conference in Austin, TX. Naturally, our first order of business was to follow up on a shocking news story that broke earlier in the week: Ryan admitting that Jake is a better cook than his wife, Blake Lively. What sort of fall out did the costars experience in the wake of the report?!
"It was one of those things where you say something and you're, like, already texting under the table at the show," Ryan revealed. "Where you're like, 'I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. But it's true.'" Jake interjected, quipping, "Is there a prenup?" before explaining that he's the one getting the raw end of the deal here. "I heard about that and I knew I'd get the wrath. He's just like, 'Still married!' and I'm like, never allowed back."
All jokes aside, Ryan assured us everything is actually fine. "They do have a healthy competition. They both love food and they love cooking." Jake delivered the final coup de grâce, saying, "And we seriously dislike Ryan." Watch our full interview above, then get ready for some real horror: Life tears into theaters on March 24.
